[Q] Sensor Settings on Stock Froyo (Defy) - Defy General

Hi guys! I've tried searching the forum but couldn't find any thread on the smart sensor settings for the Defy. I used to have it before upgrading to Froyo. I was just wondering if they really took it out from Froyo. I am currently using the stock Froyo CEE ROM but prior to the upgrade I was using a stock Eclair for SEA versions.

[Q] Blurless 2.1 or 2.2 rom for Defy?

Hello,
I know there are several threads about this already, but none of them tells me which rom for the Defy is the closest to a stock (non-Motorola) 2.1 or 2.2 Android. Thanks.
Basically, blurless means non blur and you can't really compare two things which are basically the same. Blurless means you won't have ANY blur app in your phone which basically eats up the memory and cpu although some are necessary for sync and all that.
If you're talking about whether to choose 2.1 or 2.2, i would suggest 2.2 because although i was disappointed by it, you still have some nice applications for 2.2 such as full flash player support and some apps require at least 2.2 so yea...have fun playing around with roms !
cheers,
Sorry for late reply.
Yes, I'm aware of what "blurless" means or I wouldn't have used it. I was trying to find out what Defy rom is available that is closest to a 2.2 or 2.1 stock Android ROM (ergo, without Motoblur). All I want is a standard Android rom—preferably 2.2—without all the Blur crap, or the closest possible to it that I can get. Thanks.
The leaked Nordic sbf 3.4.2_177 is a blurless Motorola ROM & is a 2.2.2 - I've been using this myself for a week or so & it's a good slick ROM. Prior to this I wasusing the leaked UK 2.2 ROM 3.4.3-11 which is a Blur ROM - The Nordic is my preference.
If it's custom ROMs you are after then in the Defy Dev Forum there's a few based on the Nordic & the ROM by ephumeris (EphuNord ROM) sounds good.
Hope that helps & that I've understood what you wanted
My EphuNord is basically stock Nordic Deblur rom. I've just made adjustments to make it easier to theme and modify. I think ive provided around 8 framework themes so far. A mod for stock lock screen. More optional extras to come soon too.
Sent from my Defy on CM7.
Alright, that sounds good. I'll try it out, thanks.

[Q] Updating to new Korean froyo!!

I am on stock Eclaire 2.1 JRDNEM_U3_2.59.0 deblur india.
Can I upgrade my phone with new Official Korean rom by nandroid backup and flashing fixed sbf of same?
Also can I return back to 2.1 JRDNEM_U3_2.59.0 deblur by flashing sbf?
Thanks in advance.
If you always use fixed SBF's (not full SBF) you can always rollback to your stock rom. Don't know if you can upgrade directly to Korea, but you can try. If anything goes wrong, you only have to go back.
PS: I don't know if it's a good moment to update, since many 2.2 ROM's have been released in the week. Maybe you can wait a little, and see a good custom rom on the next days (barebones 1.4 is scheduled to sunday).
So as when I flashed with fixed SBF, I am safe to rollback to original.
Is this will case in Pays-Rom v5.1 also? If I flashed with fixed 3.4.3_11-Stock.UKTmobile_BLUR and updated with Pays ROM, everything will be fine? or Pays Rom it self is downgradable?

[Q] downgrading to froyo from cm7/miui

I just wanted to clear one confusion. I m on SEA froyo 2.2.2
I have read in the forum that downgrading from 2.3 to 2.2 is generally not possible. Then why is there no issue when downgrading from cm7/miui which is based on 2.3.5? I flashed SEA froyo 2.2.2 sbf easily from miui. Please clear my confusion. Thanks in advance.

same confusion. too.
Since the defy has a locked bootloader, we cant install custom kernels so for cm7/miui the rom is built on the official froyo kernel. So to downgrade to froyo all you have to do is flash full sbf

[Q] how to restore stock after flashing cm7 ?

[Q] possible to install wajkiui on 2.3.6 ? Downgrade?

I've got a Motorola Defy+ which was running on 2.2 when i purchased it.
In modding my defy+ i managed to update it to 2.3.6 with a full sbf file before being aware of the whole "no downgrade" option.
I really like the look of wajkiui rom. However upon reading the details of it; it seems that its only available to 2.2? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161110
Is there any possible way at all that I can downgrade 2.3.6 to 2.2? I'd then just do a fixed sbf + nandroid backup.
or
Is there a version of the wajkiui rom that is made available for 2.3.6 that i'm not aware of?
I've done a lot of searching on xda and havent been able to find an answer.. so thought id make a thread
Thanks
