Cheap hdmi cable on amazon - EVO 4G Accessories

Hey guys since the new kernels coming out with full hdmi, I think I might finally bite the bullet and buy a cable. Anyone know of a.good cheap one on amazon? Or anyone have any suggestions for some? I know mono price normally has good cheap cables. Any help is appreciated.

I was going to suggest mono price.. they have mini hdmi to hdmi for about 3 bucks...
I also would suggest just getting the mini hdmi adaptor piece... http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=iIKDTcqmMoGqsAPepvX_AQ&ved=0CEoQ8gIwAg#

Why get the mini adapter when monoprice has the Full Size HDMI to Mini HDMI in stock?

If this is for the HTC Evo 4g, then the correct plug is Micro Hdmi and not mini.

Pick your size. Got mine 2 days later. Works great.

This is correct, I wasn't paying attention when I quoted above. Either way it's still dirt cheap at Monoprice.com and a waste of money to buy an adapter.

I just ordered mine. Hope they dont break too easily

Monoprice cables are great quality, plus they have a lifetime warranty.

do you need to get the high speed cable, or will the standard speed work ok?
my couch is 10 feet from my tv, so I need a longer cable, which only comes in standard speed..
thanks

This one works for me:

15 ft away from the TV or LCD will be nice.
Thanks!

Cheap Micro-HDMI cable?

Has anyone found a cheap Micro-HDMI cable yet? I usually buy my cables from Monoprice.com, but they only have mini-HDMI cables, no Micro yet. $30 from Sprint seems rather expensive for something that will soon be about $6 from monoprice.
Just curious if anyone else has found some online yet.
Bummer that the EVO uses Micro USB as well, would have preferred mini usb..oh well.
I emailed monoprice about carrying Type D micro HDMI cables, and they said they'd have them available "soon", so that's what I'm waiting for.

Sweet! That's great news. I'll have to keep an eye out for them to show up in stock. I think I'll pick up a few micro-usb cables at the same time (one for the desk, one next to the bed, and one in the car.)
If you see 'em before I do, share in forums that they're in stock eh?
Thanks!
ive seen them for as low as $13, not a bad price. im waiting to see if they have a video dock similar to the zune hd though.

Good online reputable/cheap store for accessories?

So I went to my a local electronic store (that shall remain nameless) and wanted to get a few accessories. When I asked for a USB mini to micro adapter and they wanted $14 for it (should be around $5). I decided I need good place to get a all those little cell phone accessories online. Anyone know of any good ones? Looking for things like a hard case for it (body glove or other), the usb adapter mentioned above, retractable cable, 16 gig micro usb, things like that. I want to be able to get them all in one place. I could use some sound advice... going a simple google search gives me some sketchy places, and newegg does not carry it all.
Thanks
www.cellularfactory.com
Don't know if they are good, but going to give them a shot
I always use eBay for most of my accessories, they're usually the cheapest.
My friend works for www.wirelessemporium.com But they still have a very limited selection of accessories for the EVO.
For misc. cables and stuff, I always use www.monoprice.com
Seconded for Monoprice. If you don't mind waiting, you can find some stuff on dealextreme.com
Another vote for monoprice on any cables. I picked up two 3' micro usb cables, two 10' micro usb cables and two mini hdmi to hdmi cables for ~$20 after shipping. They got it to me faster than expected as well.
No offense, but if you are wanting the best price on all of the accessories, you need to be a little more realistic and not expect to get them all from one place.
I tried looking for the HDMI cable that works on our phone, but I couldn't find it on monoprice...
Can anyone post a link or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Actually, I'm not sure that the one quoted above will work (is it Type D?) I know for sure this one will: http://www.amazon.com/Amzer-Micro-H...TF8&coliid=I2WK7R1BUCN60S&colid=2C6307WFQ3WEQ but it's not cheap... The EVO uses Type D, hdmi 1.4.

HDMI
The post about the HDMI from monoprice is wrong type. That is a MINI HDMI, the EVO's take type D MICRO Hdmi as of right now I don't see them on Monoprice
AVOID this company (Amzer) at all costs. The slimiest customer service of them all.

Hdmi cord for evo

I found out that the Sprint store has the hdmi cord for the video out feature on the evo!!
sent from my HTC evo
Lots of places online sell them for a lot cheaper than Sprint. I know ebay has them for very cheap. I bought a 10 foot HDMI-microHDMI cable on ebay for less than $15....

It wasn't available for like..a month.
Monoprice has the best prices on them.
Sprint price for their relabeled Chinese crap: $500
MONSTER Cable: $250
Sprint cable, from eBay and without the Sprint/HTC label: $15
Better cable from eBay: $10
Have fun wasting your money.
(In case you can't tell, yes, this is an exageration, but the point remains the same.)

i had the same problem with my monoprice cable. Went to their site and did an rma, they send me a new one for free and told me to keep the old one. the new one works much better. With a connector that small, if its off my a few micrometers it could make it loose.

I haven't tried this specific item, but I'll go ahead and vouch monoprice. When it comes to cables and adapters, they can't be beat. Best prices and great customer service. If it doesn't work, I know they'll replace or refund it.

I bought the Samsung (OEM) version for under $15.00. I know some people were having issues with knock offs. I think for the price difference, I would rather get the authentic piece.

Just wondering, does the authentic one have a micro usb port on the side of the HDMI adapter? I think it would be a nice capability to charge while outputting videos.
I think my phone was still draining the battery, albeit much slower, when outputting an HD video with a generic adapter.

So best place to buy the MHL adapter?

I'm willing to bite for the full price of the Samsung MHL adapter just because I know the S3 has some problems without the official one. Anyone know of the best place to buy it? Amazon shows one but it ships from the UK and the one on Samsung's site is not compatible. Is it not out yet?
Anyone else picking it up?
I don't think it is out yet but yes, I might be getting one. It will be a whole lot easier surfing the web on my tv via the phone than using the clunky tv remote control.
I remember reading some post of a user buying one from ebay for about 9 bucks and it worked brilliantly.
i may take a chance on monoprice
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10833&cs_id=1083314&p_id=8805&seq=1&format=2
I have gotten lots of good things from them including a 75ft HDMI CL2 cable for $30 shipped and a universal GPS mount that works great for any phone for like $5 shipped....and it's never been junk really, always decent quality, very happy with them over the years for any type of audio/video/cable/adapter
only thing is no way to know if it is compatible yet until someone bites, so I may do it one day soon
Well my only thing about some of the non Samsung ones is I read they don't output 1080p if that matters to you.
I emailed monoprice support about the one you linked. Will let you guys know what they say.

I personally prefer OEM items. They usually sell for around $11.
eBay, Amazon.
I already checked with Monoprice and they said that their adapter is not compatable with the S3. The Monoprice adapter is a 5 pin adapter and Samsung changed the S3 to an 11 pin adapter. There is a 5 pin - 11 pin adapter available. Most of the mhl adapters out are 5 pin and will not work with the S3. That is what I have been told. The Samsung mhl adapter is $40. You could get the Monoprice 5 pin mhl for $11 and a 5 pin - 11 pin adapter for another $10. That would work but I would personally wait for a cheaper 11 pin mhl adapter to come out than hook up multiple adapters.
constant power needed?
I was really interested in getting one of these but it looks like you will need to have an HDMI cable AND a micro USB connected to a wall socket for the MHL adapter to work... is this true, and if so, is it worth all the cable hassle?

USB is only for charging. So it will work without.
EDIT: It appears I'm wrong about that. With the Samsung MHL adapter anyway.

Yes please let us know what they tell you. I thought they flipped the pins so only the official Samsung adapter would work. If 720P works, I'd be totally fine with that...
I <3 Monoprice forever. They sell things at the price they're supposed to be sold at. Still slightly pricey, but the best one stop shop I've seen.

Its a no go with those:
" Regarding our MHL adapter and the upcoming release of the Galaxy S3 in the U.S. We have tested and confirmed that the S3 uses a different pinout in regards to MHL, so our current MHL device will not work for it. We have already put in a suggestion for a device that will fully support the new S3, and we are actively working on cases and other accessories for the S3 as well. "
We will just have to wait.

Any chance the MHL adapter also charges the phone? With 1%/min or game play, I can't imagine it will last very long during a game and outputting to TV...
Yes it charges the phone, but it also uses up about 200ma itself so make sure you've got a good charger.
