Amazon Appstore - A7 Themes and Apps

Amazon Appstore is Really good on the A7. Installed without a problem and works very well with the device.
Amazon does a free app each day. I can download the apk and install on the A7 and my Droid 2 Global all from the same account! Sweet.
I have Angry Birds RIO (amazing graphics on the A7) - Free
Doodle Jump - Free
Shazam - Free
SwiftKey - Free (this works really well on the A7. Makes the keyboard much more usable).
So far a $9 savings from Amazon providing Free Apps each day. It is making the A7 (even with Market from Dexmod) an even better Android Device.

how
I downloaded amazon apps then angry birds rio and birds kills itself after just starting game. Any clues.

I don'.t know why it wouldn't work for you. I'm running Dexter's mod v1.2 and haven't had any problems.

I am not using a mod. Using factory firmware. I should upgrade to this."o

Works great for me dexmod 1.41

Please delete.

I don't have the mod either. Angry Birds Rio does the same thing to me. I can play it on my Samsung Intercept but not on my eLocity A7.

The stock rom is trash, and it is soooo limited. I see no need to use it.
I say install elocitymod and further modify from there.
For me elocitymod 1.41 + replace launcher + replace keyboard = awesome.

Try disabling wifi. It worked for me and I was able to complete the game on the stock rom.

the stock dark keyboard w elocitys latest firmware is actually pretty nice. the misses and i favor it over the light grey one packaged w dexters rom, but thats just aesthetics.
otherwise the usb drive and sdcard handling, in my opinion, functions more depedably on the stock rom. never compared benchmark scores, but stocks workin dependable and lightening quick over here.
stock rom + market fix has worked best for us so far, imo.

Good list, I also recommend Quake 3 (Kwaak) and NOVA.
Please add Dungeon Hunter under RPG, it rocks

In casual gaming, Falling Ball and Tap Falling Ball is good.
In Strategy Robo Defense is cool.
You froget Cestos from multiplayer! Best ever.

I was under the impression that it wasn't running too well on the i9000?
Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming.
You're missing the Gameloft games, but they are unfortunately only available through Gameloft's site instead of the Android Market.
There's no denying they have the highest production values and are the best visually however. For reference, Asphalt 5 on Samsung's app store for the Galaxy S is by Gameloft.
I'd suggest:
- NOVA (action, first-person shooter) which looks incredible and runs flawlessly on the Galaxy S
- Let's Golf 2 (sports) which looks equally stunning and runs perfectly.
I've had problems with the follow Gameloft ones however:
- Tom Clancy HAWX (action, shoot-em-up) installs, opens and the intro logos appear but crashes when it gets to the menu
- Dungeon Hunter (action, rpg) installs but does not run
Somebody help me!
My Samsung Galaxy S already up firmware Froyo 2.2 JP3 and rooted, but all the gameloft like asphalt5 HD, Tom Clancy HAWX, Dungeon Hunter,... all way appreared logo gameloft and error as:"an sd card with at least 45m free is required in order to download the new content" i don't know how? can you guys explain to me
thank you very much

Generally that means you need some free space on your memory card, as it says.
I think Gameloft games install their data on the internal memory, so check you have enough. Otherwise it may be due to whichever lagfix or firmware you're using (ext3, etc) locking write capabilities to your card.
Yeah you need available space for those GameLoft games.
Have you tried quake 3? (kwaak3) Amazing speed, its just desktop-experience (except for the controls) But the latest version acually works. Can yuo do this with Desire?
Hero of sparta is great game too and also quake 3 by kwaak3.
How about a MMORPG category
try Pocket Empires

However on this occasion I think it's more to do with the fact that jp2 and jp3 firmwares have inherent issues with writing to the sd card.
At the moment this is only a temporary fix and nothing permanent...I cant run Asphalt5 for this very reason.

[Q] SGS2 and Asphalt6 and Riptide

Hello!
I have installed Chainfire 3D and THD Games like
Fruit Ninja HD
Samurai 2
Backbreaker HD (with pixelfailures but still working)
are running!
Riptide
Is Riptide working with the Patch of Chainfire?
Some People say that the game is running..
When i start the App i see a black screen and then the app is closed!
Asphalt6(Gameloft):
Is there any chance to get the game running on my SGS2?
When i go on gameloft.com (with SGS2) and click on "BUY" Asphalt6, then i get a message from T-Mobile: This service is currently not available!
This message i got 3-4 days ago!
Is it possible to play the game on SGS2 or not? -.-
Thank you and cu!
I've got Asphalt 6 HD and it's running fine on my Galaxy SII. I bought it of my either O2 or Virgin Sim I don't rememnber which though. I got it for a pound aswell which is a bargin.
Asphalt6 works on my gs2 untouched o2 phone.
It doesnt seem to be super responsive though. I found asphalt 5 on my gs worked better than this. Could just be how the game runs on anything.
I have the same problem with riptide, just closes.
Since chainfire app update and installing the shaders Riptide is working perfectly and the graphics are amazing.
The first game, which is very beautiful.
Asphalt6 HD is working, but the graphics aren't very nice ..
yup latest update fixed riptide closing problem for me.... Give it a shot!
Are you trying Reptide demo or full version? Because demo didnt work for me, full version did. This has been confirmed by the creator Chainfire 3D.. Dont know if the demo works now.
Anyway, the full version works! And its worth it... More then just good graphics!
Yes very nice graphics, but a car racing game, like Asphalt6HD with the quality of RiptideGP would be very nice for me.
Because Riptide is only racing aroung maps, nothing else..
In Asphalt6 you are able to tune your car, change cars ect.
Asphalt6 graphics are not much better than "nonHD" games..
The RipTide demo works fine _if_ you install the shaders. Find the shaders for the full version of the game, and rename the 3 files inside the .ZIP replacing "blue" with "bluedemo". Install the resulting file into Chainfire3D and the demo then works.
yep asphalt 6 works fine, try to get the apk from their website
dont know about the other game
finally a solution! lol
hi,
I'm able to start riptide, but the game itself is nearly black with some pixels. I installed chainfire and the shaders. I also tried the tegrad-libs (which a working cause I can play pinball which doesn't work without tegra-libs).
any solution? :-(
Asphalt 6 SD CARD FILES?
Can any one please give me the SD CARD DATA FILES FOR ASPHALT 6 HD FOR SGS2.. AS i am not having a WIFI and no direct internet connection. I am using it in a college with proxy ..
so i will have to manual install it the data files..
PLZ SOME ONE GIVE ME The DATA FILES SD CARD ? ?
Regards
where is the download link Ashphalt game ?
You can download Asphalt 6 for free through the Samsung appstore.

Games recommendation (S5830)

This isnt a duplicate of the other gaming thread, we only recommend games here (by experience), try to recommend your top games so the quality stays at the top
Doesnt matter if you recommend the game twice, just proves that the game is worth playing!
Beats(free) - (emulator though) - like stepmania but on the phone, you can import stepmania songs to it.
[Link to market] [Screenshot]
Tetris(~3$) - downloaded it but havent played it once on android yet, but i guess it's the same as iOS. It's pretty nice and ull get used to playing it with a touchscreen.
[Link to market] [Screenshot]
There is a more expensive version, but I think it's the same game :O [Link to the market]
Meganoid(free) - Pretty fun at first but ull get tired of it.
[Link to market] [Screenshot]
I think it contains ads in it, but you can use adfree to get rid of it.
(I would recommend the snes, nes etc... emulators but the multitouch isnt good enough for playing these console emulator games.)
KEEP IT CLEAN, dont ask stuff here!
Dont link warez!
Currently playing zombieville and fishingjoy, it's a time killer
XDA ♥
try CoinDozer! very addicting!
im also recommending Plant vs Zombie & angry birds
Can you play Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus on the Ace?

Shame that you have to leave the Samsung bloatware on your phone to be able to update the games when a newer version arrives. I always delete all the Apps/Signin stuff after a Rom reinstall.
Would be nice to download the stuff from Samsung Apps AND be able to update them from the Android Market

There are very few GameLoft games that work on any Archos G9 devices to start with. For the few that do, they usually only show up on Google Play as being compatible with the 101 G9. Reason, simple, the 101 is wide screen, while the 80 G9 has a 4:3 aspect.
Unfortunately, I do not have enough room (memory left) on my 101 G9 to test things, but very often if you have another device that Google Play will let you install something one... then you can often use some app to make a backup of it, and then transfer that to your other devices and "side load" it.
Some things simply will not work at all, but I've found many that do work on my other devices but... sometimes the opening video does not display correctly... usually can just tap on the screen to skip it or just let it play out until it gets to the real game stuff.
I hate to say it, but you very likely will find a lot of things that are listed on Google Play as not being compatible with the 80 G9 simply because most apps were made for smartphones (or tablets) that have wider screens (16:9 or 16:10) instead of the 4:3 aspect the 80 G9 has.
Just as a side note, I have 3 Archos tablets (well, actually more but won't get into it here)... the 70b (with Android Honeycomb), and both the 80 and 101 G9 "classic" 8Gig models (with only 512M system RAM). Although not everything I've tried works on all of them, I have found that most things do if I can get it installed on whatever Google let's me (and have enough space to do so), and then make a backup, and copy it over to "side load" on the other(s). Of course, that only works because all of my devices use the same Google account.
BTW: What I mean by "side load", in case you do not already know... is that when you make a backup of an app and then try to install that .apk file on any device, it will complain about it being from an "unknown" source as a security protection. You have to go into Settings on the device and change it to allow installing from unknown sources first. Make sure you go back and turn that back off again afterward!

Got good and bad news...
First, the good news... Yes, you can install Dungeon Hunters 3 from Google Play on a 101 G9.
Now the bad news... and as expected...
Like ALL GameLoft games up until the only 2 they released this year...
Dungeon Hunters 3, even though it does install on a 101 G9 does not run, it just crashes out shortly after start up.
Transferred a copy over to my 80 G9 and the good news, yes it would install and download the rest of the game, but bad news... as mentioned, like ALL Gameloft games (except for the 2 they released this year) it also just crashes shortly after start up.
After Archos and GameLoft finally got an agreement worked out between them, then GameLoft released 2 games that would run on Archos G9 device. One of them is Asphalt 7: Heat, and I think the other one is The Amazing Spider-Man. I know Asphalt 7 works on both my 101 and 80 G9. Have not tested The Amazing Spider-Man, but I assume it will also work (because those 2 are the only ones noted in any tablet news sites as being able to run on Archos G9 devices).
Sorry dude, but that's just the way it is.
Ever since Gameloft transitioned to a universal package for their games (universal apk and OBB resource files), their games can be run on a G9 tablet (at least G9 80 Turbo). Perhaps it does not show as compatible on the Play Store, but the games generally work (Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spiderman, Asphalt 7, Wild Blood, Modern Warfare 3,...).
There might be problems with menu scaling, and problems to get the games to install.
I bought asphalt 7 from play store and it feels laggy with 4.0.26 deodexed, so I installed oc kernel. I have archos g9 101 turbo, so i over clocked to 1,6ghz. Even after that it was a bit laggy so I installed chainfire 3d and dropped graphics to 16bit. I was thinking of enabling both cores and using performance to make it lag free without chainfire. Do you guys have any experience or a way to make it run better?
(I chose to use this topic because of the title)
