use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965190 to split the single .tar file into an Odin3 flashable package (code, csc and modem) and use the resulted code and modem files along with any other csc (like XFJS3, XFJP8 etc.) to gain a multi-csc firmware

Poate sa ma ajute cineva sa faca split in 3 fisiere adica PDA, Phone si CSC...am cautat tot netul dar nu gasesc doar un singur fisier I9000XFJS4.tar

nu poti citi un rand mai sus?

How to deodex and zipalign this rom ? My pc sais java not found , but i have java .

you can find rooted, deodexed & zipaligned stock versions here

well there isn't JS4 there . JS4 ( Orange Romania Firmware . Romanian Language and Swype ) the only 2.2.1 with romanian.

do a search for JS4 on that page, I'm sure you'll find something JPY is 2.2.1 and it has romanian too, I'm using this one myself.

Hello. I crashed my SGS trying to root it. Then I started to read this forum and managed to install the firmware provided above ( XFJS4). The only problem is that I don't have any data connection available anymore. Since the phone was completely dead, I did't know the firmware. Now I see it's XXJPY.
Any ideas on how to make my data connection work? 10x.

Release: I9000XFJM6 - Multi CSC(s) Europe

Few facts about this version:
INTERNAL release (not official, obviously)
It is 2.1 Eclair
Build time: 2010.08.17 17:22:38 KST
Changelog: Unknown
PDA version I9000XFJM6, MODEM version I9000XXJM3
All CSC versions are I9000???JM1 and unbranded, but CSC´s for specific operators (Vodafone for example) are included.
Compared to XWJM6 release from yesterday, this version has most of the apps updated. However this firmware has limited language support, but the major languages are included. Swype version also is lacking some of the languages.
This version is larger than the XWJM6 because there is some background images, mp3´s and a demo movie included.
I have not modified the code in any way, although I have repacked the release to make CSC selection possible.
Usually Odin3 images are provided in a single integrated .tar package which contain all of the necessary files. This way the CSC cannot be selected separately.
That is why I splitted the release in three different parts (CODE, MODEM, CSC).
Since Odin3 has flashfile checksum support I also added md5 hash tail to the .tar files. This way is more secure because Odin will not allow flashing corrupted images. Flashing takes a bit longer thou because the checksums are checked in the beginning of the update process.
You need to download two files.
GT-I9000_I9000XFJM6_I9000XXJM3_CODE-MODEM.rar
CSC_I9000???JM1 (CSC of your selection)
I know this is not nearly all of the excisting variants, but repacking the softwares is quite a slow process for certain reasons. I have access to pretty much any Samsung firmware, so if you find a variant missing you can send me pm. I can have a look.
Here is the description of CSC´s (included country variants):
DBT (Germany specific)
OXA *Multi CSC* (for France, Germany, Italy, Poland, UK, UK & Ireland)
OXE *Multi CSC* (for Baltic, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine)
OXX *Multi CSC* (for Austria, Baltic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland)
BMC *Multi CSC* Unbranded / Custom apps: (Canada)
HUI Branded: (Tre - H3G Italy)

OPS Unbranded / Custom apps: (Optus Australia)

Mock-up, check post #182 for further information.
Extract the downloaded .rar archives to the same folder.
The archives are contain .tar.md5 files. Do not open them with Winrar for example. They are compressed Odin images which do not need unpacking.
So how to proceed:
Put your phone to download mode (hold down: volume down, home key, power)
DO NOT plug in your phone yet, Odin / driver does not like it at this stage.
Start Odin3
Tick "Re-Partition", check that "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" have been ticked.
Click "PIT" button and select s1_odin_20100512.pit file.
Plug in the phone and wait until Odin finds it.
Click "Start" button... <Firmware update start...> <Get PIT for mapping...> appear. The phone will turn off and the screen indicates "Reset". Wait until Odin indicates "Pass".
Plug out your phone, remove the battery, put it back in and put phone to download mode again.
Click "Reset" button in Odin and untick "Re-Partition" box.
DO NOT select PIT file again.
Click "PDA" button and select "CODE_I9000XWJM6.tar.md5" file.
Click "MODEM" button and select "MODEM_I9000XXJM3.tar.md5" file.
Click "CSC" button and select the desired version "CSC_I9000???JM1.tar.md5".
Plug in the phone and wait until Odin finds it.
Click "Start" button and wait until phone reboots with the new software version.
When using *Multi CSC* you need to type *#272*????# after the flash (in dialer). ???? being the current time displayed by phone. For example if the time is currently 6.25pm you need to type *#272*0625#. Then select the desired CSC version from the list and press "Install".
Regards.

It should be possible to uninstall Swype using Titanium Backup, reboot, then install another Swype release. I actually did that when I tried a firmware without danish Swype.
Anyone see any differences in this new release? Any noticeable changes in apps?
Impressive rom: gps lock on 10+ satellites, even with snr under 15 and hold them rock solid: BEST i ever seen on SGS.
are you serious? A lock on more then 8 sattelites? could somebody make screenshot?
Richthofen, i see you are getting some nice firmwares , thanks a bunch. Just a small question : any hope for a decent froyo rom in the near future ?

If Vodafone in the UK, Spain, Portugal, etc. used the same 2.2 firmware (BUJP7) I don't understand why only the spanish Vodafone released this new 2.2.1 firmware.
This Samsung Kies update process is always a mess, even when the same firmware applies to several product codes / regions, they are unable to launch the same thing to everyone at the same time.
Sorry for the rant... I'll keep waiting that my country's Vodafone catch-up with the spanish one.
Can anyone post the exact build date from the build prop file please I want to know if it is later than the 24/01 ?
I haven't even look at lies. Lol.
I guess its same build that every other firmware that has come out the last day.

[Q] help updating samsung 8500

hi there, i have a samsung wave gt-s8500 unlocked but originally to orange france...
i have bada 1.0 1007131900_lis_s8500jpjg2_kor (arabic rom) i just buy him with this rom.....
i cant update with samsung kies because it tell me that there isnt any update....
i want to update to bada 1.2 european rom(i live in portugal) and with a rom that have portuguese language because this kor rom just have english/french/asian languages
can anyone tell me how to do and wich rom i have to use
thanks
well with multiloader i installed bada 2.0 european version(last one on samsfirm) but there is a problem in the sms... i received sms and the sender name doesnt appear, only the number, even if he is on my contact list....
i installed bada 1.2 european and still the same problem....
i get back to bada 1.0 arabic version and now the problem with the sms is fixed....
so what is the problem?? why cant i use bada 2.0 or 1.2 european version on this phone with sms correctly being display... this is very strange...
To solve the problem, you need to install a full European firmware. Bada 1.2 is preferrable.
As you live in Portugal, you may prefer a firmware for Portugal. If so, choose a firmware with the OXC csc. (OXC csc is for Spain, Greece and Portugal. After installing, go to Pre-Configuration setting and select the correct csc for Portugal (I think it is TPH).
You can always upgrade to bada 2.0 whenever it is available (hopefully in October, or maybe next; Samsung never keep to their promised dates).

No. You cannot. And it makes no sense in trying a csc from Arabia bada 1.0 in a bada 2.0 firmware for Europe.
If you choose to flash with the bada 2.0 beta firmware, download a complete firmware from samfirmware.com for bada 2.0 and flash with the complete package.
In case you need to replace the csc file therein with aany particular csc, you need to modify that yourself. There lots of tutorials for creating your own csc for bada 2.0 beta firmware.
See these tutorilas:
1. How to Create your country CSC File for bada 2.0 firmware or
2. Add your CSC of your country to any Firmware v2.7
You can as well download from here, a bada 2.0 firmware with OXC csc. Firmware XPKH1
thanks spacks for your help
btw
can i replace this file you upload on the S8500XPKH3 ## 2.0 2011 August OXAKH3??
NB: I have uploaded the OXC csc file (Greece, Spain and Portugal),

Change Galaxy S20 Vodafone's firmware/CSC!?

Hello everyone,
I recently ordered a Samsung Galaxy S20 (SM-G980FLBDEUE) from Vodafone, without a contract / subscription, because I got a good price. Even if the phone is not blocked in the network, I understood that it will have Vodafone firmware and some applications from them.
Can I install stock firmware (which comes with phones that are not purchased from carriers) without losing warranty or affecting the phone in any way? I understood that the CSC must also be changed (to receive OTA updates), but I did not understand exactly how this can be done and what the order should be: change the CSC and then installed the stock firmware?
Thank you in advance! :good:

Here you can read how to change using Odin and a new CSC.

Does it work for the s20? I read that for CSC samkey must be used.

So that's what I done >>>
In case my phone carrier ID was lock on network 3 (H3G) , that's why when I dail *#*#27262826#*#* in google phone app it's only showing network 3's csc codes (network 3 eu csc codes) even I was on BTU OXM(Multi CSC) firmware
I bought 6 credits on eBay to change carrier ID with SAMKEY
(You can only change carrier ID not sales code)
I was on October security patch
Now I change to BTU csc and register to bata program
After carrier ID change with SAMKEY
This code *#*#27272826#*#* is working on bata program's latest update as well
Now I can see multi CSC codes
(Might this info useful for someone)
Thanks

In download mode
If mention 'network code' or 'carrier ID' VOD (VOD csc code for Vodafone uk)
Or
download SAMKEY software
In free functions you can read details info about your phone
If your phone is locked on carrier ID you can only get OTA updates from Vodafone but you can install stock firmware but won't get OTA from stock firmware

Then you fine you can install stock firmware and get faster OTA updates and no network's apps
And you can participate in Samsung beta program as well
I'm a little confused. Please tell me if I understood correctly:
1. if the phone is not blocked in the network, I can install stock firmware and that's it - i will receive stock OTA updates in the future!?;
2. if the phone is locked in the network, then will I have to install stock firmware and then change CSC with Samkey?

1. If phone is not locked on csc (Carrier ID) then you can change cse code to BTU (uk Multi CSC codes) ,it will receive stock OTA updates
If your phone is locked on carrier ID then you get OTA from your network not straight from Samsung
2. My phone was csc locked on network 3, I flash BTU (OXM - Multi CSC) with ODIN
Than I change csc code with SAMKEY
Easy enough to check if your phone carrier ID lock
Setting >about phone > service provider software versions
If it's > vod/vod,vod/EUX/vod
It means (carrier ID) csc locked
Buongiorno a tutti, ho bisogno di aiuto.
Ieri tramite Samkey ho cambiato il CSC al mio S20 5G brand Vodafone con CSC origine OMN
All'apparenza tutto Ok
Ora se controllo Info software versione gestore trovo
....._SM-G981B_OXM_ITV_......... precedentemente era ....._SM-G981B_OXM_OMN_.........
e
ITV/ITV,ITV/EUX/OMN precedentemente era OMN/OMN,OMN/EUX/OMN
anche la App Phone Info (che ho sempre usato) mi dice:
CODICE PRODOTTO - SM-G981B.......ITV prima era SM-G981B.......OMN
CODICE CSC ATTIVO - ITV prima OMN
STATO DEL CSC - Italy/ IT come prima
Grazie
Spero di essere stato chiaro!!
Spoiler: Translation
Hello everyone, I need help.
Yesterday through Samkey I changed the CSC to my S20 5G brand Vodafone with CSC origin OMN
Apparently everything is OK
Now if I check the manager version software info I find
....._ SM-G981B_OXM_ITV _......... previously it was ....._ SM-G981B_OXM_OMN _.........
And
ITV / ITV, ITV / EUX / OMN formerly OMN / OMN, OMN / EUX / OMN
also the App Phone Info (which I have always used) tells me:
PRODUCT CODE - SM-G981B ....... ITV was previously SM-G981B ....... OMN
ACTIVE CSC CODE - ITV before OMN
STATE OF CSC - Italy / IT as before
When I performed the procedure with Samkey he replied everything OK operation performed successfully and if I check now info from Samkey it tells me that ID Carrier ITV (Before (OMN)
The strange thing is that as soon as I changed CSC and HARD RESET, the phone started and downloaded the Firmware update via OTA from G981BXXS8DUE4 to G981BXXU8DUF9 (I had already loaded the G981BXXU8DUF9 firmware I had to downgrade because Samkey did not manage it) but the next update via OTA to G981BXXU9DUH2 (already available for ITV but not OMN) it does not, if I update firmware from the menu it says firmware already updated and also the App Phone Info tells me that the latest firmware "YES" while if, always in the App I go to do a Firmware search for CSC ITV tells me that the latest version is the G981BXXU9DUH2 and not the G981BXXU8DUF9 which I updated with OTA previously.
I connected the mobile phone to the PC and with Smart Switch it made me update to G981BXXU9DUH2 normally, however, the thing that remains strange is that from App Phone Info it tells me that the loaded version is G981BXXU9DUH2 but that the last one is the G981BXXU8DUF9 (the previous one) as it is possible, where did I go wrong and how can I fix it.
Thank you
I hope I was clear!!
Setting >about phone > service provider software versions
If it's > vod/vod,vod/EUX/vod
It means (carrier ID) csc locked
That doesn't mean it is csc locked!
I had the same with Vodafone in Spain and was ATL/ATL,ATL/EUX/ATL and wasn't csc locked!
I changed it too PHE/PHE,PHE/EUX/ATL with SamKey!
To test if it is sim locked just simple put an other sim from an other carrier in!
The last ATL is the sales code and needs to be changed to PHE on a complete other way.
I am searching now the way online to change it, somewhere here on XDA there is a possible solution with hells kitchen but am looking for an other way then using hells kitchen!
