Hi all sorry if I'm posting in wrong section but searched everywhere before posting I recently got a desire and thought I was sim unlocking phone with and app I found here called sim unlock utility well all went well and used fone for couple if days no problem then all of a sudden can't make calls send SMS etc then noticed fone isn't connected to network tried different network Sims but still the same when I go to make a call it just beeps and says call ended it appears fone is unlocked but wont connect to any network including original network anybody had similar and no how to fix ....any help greatly appreciated

Thanks for reply but I've reflashed rom and tried villian rom still the same result I even went as far as to s-off but still the same I've updated radio to latest ....I'm wondering whether the fone could be blacklisted is there anyway to find out without calling network provider ...I don't think this is the case tho as I can use the internet on here Wich seems very strange when I check In settings wireless and networks it says I'm registered to T-Mobile aswell just cant send texts and try make a call and it comes up call ended immediately

Hi there,
Ive got a problem. My brand new Desire shows 2-3 bars of network but i cannot make calls sometimes. Text messages come like sometimes up to 3-4 hours LATE. Its frustrating. Changing Network mode didnt help. Restoring factory default setting didnt help neither. What can i do ? sometimes it works but mosty it doesnt ...
Ahh and very often when i try to send a text message i get "Unable to send text mesage...." Its like it shows i got network but i havnt :/

I assume your Desire is completely stock? If so, might be a service provider issue rather than a software/hardware issue

Hi guys, got a strange issue here. Whenever I dial a number the phone will ring a few times then the signal bars will jump from whatever they are on to nothing with an x and call will fail. However; the phone will still be ringing on the other persons end, and if I redial then it will jump into the call I tried to make previously. The same could happen again during the call. Strangely, this only seems to happen when I bring the phone up to my ear, if I use hands-free it only happens 1 time out of 10. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using SuperNova Xtreme ROM, any more info needed?

Same peoblem here with stock... Heard it's a bug with proximity sensor. Does your phone drop the signal when you lock the screen?

Unfortunately, I have also read that there is no fix for that bad luck for us, I guess
Well, I've just done a quick Google and found that sometimes simply taking the back off the phone and hoovering everything out can help, as well as blowing/hoovering on the line between the earpiece and the screen. I'll try it out and post my findings.

tried... no luck
Hey, I've managed to fix it, but only by flashing with an entirely new ROM/RUU. It's the only thing I could find to fix the issue.

lucky you I tried flashing 2.3 RUU again but the problem is still there
Hey all i'm new here, i've installed a custom kernel and it seems to be thay my sim card doesn't work anymore but can.anyone send me a cwm backup so.i can apply it and look if it works again?

When you say "does not work anymore" do you get an error of some sort? Emergency calls only?
What did you flash?
Is voice OK but not data?
Ive figured this out;
No imei
When i call *#1234# PHONE is none
And i've flashed giopro and a custom kernel from else in this forum (gio section...)

By voice I meant just that: voice calls where you talk to someone else, the whole “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.” that started it all.
Did you try to unlock the phone with the stl5 method? This is the usual cause of no IMEI, and cause for replacement.
Actually i wanted to set the cpu to a higher frequency and then...
A terrible thing happend.
My phone rebooted and the sim card was not recognized anymore...

hello all i am new here
i give my phone to repair it and after that they say my phone is dead bricked and need to riff jtag
they do this and now my phone is healthy but now i have a sim problem , i have 2 sim card but only one of them works on my phone
and another one say emergency calls only. i flash my phone using odin several times and each time when my phone boot for the first time my sim card detects by my phone about 2 seconds but after 2 seconds it shows me emergency calls only and other problem is that my phone with my first sim card that works fine can not connect to internet via data network , i don't know what to do , i am fed up , please help me , i will be appreciate if you help me , thanks again, have a nice day...

I had some of the same problem, beause the launcher lockscreen seems to override the ordinary lock screen, so the pin prompt dont show up. I went in to setings and turned my pin of, then it worket. I just for fun activated pattern. But the launcher lockscreen also skipped the pattern lock. It just showed up for two sec and then the launcher lock was on. Sorry if you dont understand what I write. Give it a try, if you not allready have tried. In cyanogen you have options to turn this off, if you use pin, password, pattern lock.

Had same problem on GioPro reflash has solved my problem. Now I'm on Cyanogenmod 7.2, works fine.

Dear Experts out there
I also have HTC One VX - I don't live in US therefore I had to sim unlock the device, which I did.
I was able to successfully S-Off the device and changed the Super CID to 22222222 and flash CWM Recovery.
Everything works fine except the wifi on my 2G network Sim.
Note: Wifi works without sim, wifi works with AT&T sim but wifi does not works with my country network sim. Only 2g network is available in my country.
Workaround: I use AT&T sim for wifi to work and quickly swap it with my Network SIM and wifi works until the phone is switched off or restarted.
I need permanent solution for this if anyone can help or know what is the reason behind wifi not working with my 2G based Network Sim

Sorry, a logcat. Just download catlog from the market. Make sure to reproduce the problem. Then go into catlog, press the menu button, and hit save. Then upload here so we can have a look.

I have but I'm not quite sure what it is associated with. Trying to do some research on the subject. For now, do a nandroid backup and try flashing a different ROM if you haven't tried already to see if it helps.

Are you running Jmz's kernel? Did you make sure you successfully changed the Cid on the phone? Did you try and S-OFF?

This is what I found odd:
Unable to open connection to supplicant on "wlan0":No such file or directory, retry 0
I want to say it has something to do with the WiFi driver? Which has something to do with the kernel I believe? Don't know too much about low low level things.

I have my T-mobile note 3 and I am using it with metro PCS I would like to know if anyone has any idea's why when my phone is on 4gLTE I can't make or receive calls, but when I switch it to just 4G my phone works fine, I changed my sim card and the same thing happened I flashed the original stock firmware and nothing. Does any one have any idea if it is my phone or the network?? or how I can fix this problem.. Thanks
