[Q] anyone have a idea for a case for extended battery - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering what people have been using for a case or holster and case for the extended battery I bought one and can barley find anything on eBay or Google about cases and holster for the extended battery evos. What you people using? I am using a ballistic case with my crappy stock battery it must be a defective battery dies quickly lol or cause I'm on it all the time. I read somewhere a guy got a extended battery to fit in his ballistic case lots of customization but he did it lol anyone used stealth screen protecters? Thanks

Cases that work with Extended Battery Cover

So I got the Extended Battery this weekend and the extended Battery Door/cover wont fit in my Best Buy Rocket dog Snap on case (sucks!). Anyone know what case will fit the droid x with the extended battery? Any snap on thin case like the one I have? Any pics?
Thanks

You can do what I do and simply leave the back door off when you put the case on it.... The extended battery sits flush really.
Or you can just use the standard battery door cover. It will still fit.
I saw in another post that someone who used the standard cover with the extended battery said it looked like it was putting a bit of pressure onto the inside of the phone (I can't remember when or who posted this, sorry, so no link, but it was on xda I believe). So if that's true, that's probably not a good thing to do.
It does put pressure on some components if you use the stock battery cover. You can see it clearly about half way up the screen, and applying any pressure against the cover results in "pretty colors" on the screen. I tested it and quickly decided against such. I'm most concerned what would happen if further pressure would be applied to the screen or phone in pocket, and what could happen in even a minor drop. I use a clear snap on case, it stays on reliably.
I'm currently using my extended battery with the original thinner back cover so I can keep my phone in my Snap on case. There wasn't much pressure and im not seeing any effects on my screen but my phone back is heating up much more then usual. I also know that battery expand when they heat up, so I'm worry about future pressure issues with my original back cover.
So I'm looking for a snap on cover that will fit the extended back cover.
I have also learned you can just take the back cover of the Droid X off, and use a thinner hard shell case without adverse effects.
I'm rocking it with my cheap TPU case. Fits nicely and I like the TPU for 'drop protection' over a brittle case.

Have a TPU case myself...loving it and fits perfect with extended battery and door
I am using the stock battery door with the extended battery and have not had any problems. I can push on the back cover with quite a bit of force and there aren't any discolorations on the screen. The cover was slightly more difficult to slide on, but once I did it the first time it now goes on perfectly without any extra pressure. I am also not noticing any extra heat from doing this. I have a battery widget that shows me the temperature and I logged the temps for a day with standard battery and then again the extended and if there was any difference it was always less than 2 degrees fahrenheit.
Lucky, my standard door over my extended battery leaves a dark mark near the middle of the screen. So back to the extended door for me
After five days, I can confirm the otterbox commuter case works perfectly with the extended battery and cover.

I purchased the Seidio Rugged case and it fits both the standard and extd battery.
Which TPU cases are you guys using or where did you buy them? I need 3 for all my Droid X's
The Trident case works as well.
I have the OtterBox Defender Series case and it fits great with the Motorola extended battery installed.

Wow, maybe I received defective otterbox cases, but neither defender nor commuter works perfectly with my extended battery and cover.....ok, but definitely not perfect!

Yeah, I didn't notice for a good while it as its hard to tell, but the commuter does not set perfectly flush with the screen along the side with the extended cover on. That lets some dust in.
Has anybody tried the sedio innocase surface with the extended battery cover? I am thinking about getting the extended battery and this is the case I use.

I have the seidio innocase surface combo and just received the extended battery. I can use my case with the extended battery door. It barely separates the middle of the case. I was able to get the stock battery door on the extended battery with no problem whatsoever. Either way I am happy with it. The extra battery life is incredible.

[MOD] Slim case for extended battery

Hi I just want to share my findings on a slim cover and mod it for the extended battery. I have tried the otterbox impact cover and i didnt like it its too bulky for me and so rubbery. I just want to maintain the slim profile of my captivate and have protection from scratches. I found one case on ebay and tried to mod it heres the link of the case http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mesh-Hole-H...&otn=1&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=2739256548890032791 and below the posted pictures of the mod case
Hey that really looks desent for a big battery like this. I think I will try this one as well. I´m tired of constantly charging my cappy.
Did you modified that casing by yourself? or does it come from the retail like that?
It is not apparent from the pictures (to me) how you modded the case to fit. Did you just cut a hole for the battery and the remaining case had enough structure to stay on the phone?
Why not buy a case that you don't have to mod...that is custom made for the extended battery? There is a seller on eBay (moretalktime) who sells custom TPU cases for a lot of phones including the captivate with the extended battery.

Cover for Galaxy Nexus of 3800 mah battery

Welcome.
At the beginning I wanted to apologize for my bad English .
But to the point ....
I wanted to buy plus a 3800 mAh battery for my Galaxy Nexus (GSM), but I have a problem with the selection of the cover.
All cases do not provide for the use of such a large battery.
Only Seidio has to offer such cases, but they are quite expensive.
And here I wanted to advise you - do you know of any other inventions that could hold the battery?
I mean mostly about something that can be clipped to a belt and I would prefer if it was not the case rather holster.
Thanks in advance for your help!
been looking for the same man, only thing i've been able to find is this
you can type in Black Trexcell Samsung Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery Thermoplastic TPU Case on ebay.
nothing with a belt clip yet
Thank you.
I saw this cover.
I was wondering to buy a 3800 battery, cover case from Traxcell, and buy the Seidio holster.
Thanks to always save a little, but I'm not 100% sure that these parts will fit together.

Anyone have this case?

Anyone have this case http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/samsung-galaxy-nexus/aegis-case-samsung-galaxy-nexus.aspx and/or know if it will fit a 3800 mAh extended battery. I know the seidio cases work fine but I love trident cases and want to use an extended battery.
Thanks
I have this case and it fits my Sprint gnex with 2100mah extended battery well but I don't think it could fit anything much thicker than that.

The Seidio extended Convert Combo works quite well with the GNex and a3800 mah battery (I have the Hyperion).

I used that case on my evo 3d. It was nice, but the hard plastic outer shell was kind of slippery. I had to scuff it with some sand paper, to give it some grip. It was also a pain to put on. Since the n4 doesn't have a removable battery/storage, you won't need to take it on/off much, so it should be a good case.
Edit : I thought I was in the n4 forum when I posted this... I don't think I would get this case for any phone with a removable back plate

Extended Capacity Battery with an Otterbox-like case

I am looking for an extended battery that has a case similar to the Otterbox Cases. I looked into Trident cases, but their extended life battery is weaker than my stock battery (Electro case is 2000mHa, my stock is 2100mHa)
Any suggestions?
I'm looking for 2300mAh or greater. It must have an otterbox-like case though.
Also I am not interested in hacking apart my current otterbox case to fit them.
