[Q] RAPH120 Startup - Touch Pro, Fuze Android Development

Hello ,i have a problem ,i have raph120 device ,and i want to get android on it ,i download the FRX06 ,up it on my sd, and give it startup from the folder ,i try any startups from folder in this bundle ,and it doesn't work with any... :/
is there a way to get this android on my phone? ,it's a special startup for raph120 ? there isn't startup's for 120 in the folders of this bundle.
i will be greatfull for any help
cheers
edit: when i try to bot it ,always i get "mdp_dma: busy" message... :/

I've never heard of a RAPH120 - are you sure that's on the phone, not the battery?
Have you done the ts-calib either manually or by using the one I've attached?

Please do check behind the battery on the back of the device. You should see the imei bar code and just above that you should see four letters followed by three numbers. Do let us know what you see, my friend

yeah ,behind battery i find "RAPH120" the phone named XDA from O2 network.
finally i run the FRX05 version ,but i get some freezes ,and device is stucked
this is my startup
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 1910
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "rel_path=FRX05 lcd.density=210 msmvkeyb_toggle=off gsensor_axis=-1,-2,3 board-htcraphael-navi.wake=0 pm.sleep_mode=1 physkeyboard=german_raph msmsdcc_1bit msmsdcc_fmax=14000000 msmsdcc_nopwrsave"
boot

any help?

how long did u wait for booting?
and whats the others message before "mdp_dma: busy" you see?

raph100-US GSM
raph110-AT&T Fuze
raph800-CDMA
raph500-CDMA verizon

All I can see is a few depreciated commands. At best, you'll need to try using the RAPH100 or RAP110 startup.txt files found in THIS bundle. As a matter of fact, you might want to try formatting with something other than windows and be sure to grab THIS ts-calibration file as well, my friend! You will need to extract the file and place it where the file called haret.exe is.

I have a RAPH120, and I posted my startup here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11974903&postcount=9
FRX05 is running fine with this startup.

You do have a lot of weird options in your startup.txt, read the comments above, they're all spot on (thanks guys ).
As for the freezing, there's a potential fix to the freezes on the first boot. See this thread.

finally i had xdandroid frx06 on my phone ,and its work great ,sometime had a little freezes ,but im happy for it ,thanks for help guys!

I would like to get my hands on these images too. The way I have been doing it is flash back to the original ROM, once stock flash the radio back to the new version you want, then flash the OS to the new ROM version. You have to pick a rom that doesn't touch the splash though. Only went through that PITA once. It would be nice in case a Cingular Rep ever got their hands on it.
Here are the Boot Splashes

Yeah thats the one. Can I just drop and replace this one?
from the FAQ:
Code:
Disable/change the startup animation or sound
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\StartupAnimation
Enabled - change from 1 to 0 to turn everything off and permanently fix the volume issue.
You can also customize the animated boot up by deleting or changing 2 keys. (Doing this does not fix the volume issue)
Delete the WAVFile Key to remove the sound only.
Delete the GIFFile Key to remove the animation only.
Put your own .GIF file or .WAV file on the phone and rewrite the 2 keys (WAVFile GIFFile) to the new file location. i.e. \My Documents\Files\CustomAnimation.gif
The Gif key portion was where this .gif was linked on the original. Place it somewhere and change that key.

Strange... I don't have these entries. May be the ROM that I am using (Black 2.5) I will try adding them and seeing if that works.
Thanks for the info. All of the stuff I got from the wiki pertained to cooking/converting an image.
I assume:

BTW: I am now on the Dutty V2 ROM and these values do not exist. Might they only work on factory HTC/ATT "hacked" roms? I have read there might be DLL's that go with these entries.

I put the entries in as above and it did not work. I ended up using the one w/o animation. I have a feeling you only have the registry entries there to be modified if you have an OEM ROM.
I have a feeling there are a few more registery entries in there then he wrote in there - would like to see a reg dump (at least of that section). There are also probably some .DLL's or other files we need to fully get it running! Maybe I'll dump a Cingular rom later to see if I don't see anything obvious I'm assuming this is in the new Cingular rom?
Yes, should even be in the one before it since when I bought my phone about 2 months ago it was animated as well.
So far from the digging, the Registry entries are:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\StartupAnimation]
"Volumn"=dword:10
"WAVFile"="\\Windows\\3G_Up.wav"
"GIFFile"="\\Windows\\3G Up_01_1.gif"
"Enabled"=dword:1
I've not yet found any other entries related to it on a quick pass through. The animated gif and sound file I have attached but I have not yet got it to work. I did notice there is no welcomehead.96.png and I wonder if it the existence of that file on my current rom has anything to do with it. I've not been able to delete the file (part of the rom) to see if it would have any effect. This is about as much as I'll be able to figure out for right now at any rate. If anybody else has any ideas as to enabling it (is there a .DLL that needs to be loaded? Part of me wonders if there is a command to execute it built into the bootsplash within the section that is usually added as padding? Just some brainstorming.

You can delete the welcomehead.96.png by getting another file browser (like Resco Explorer or Total Commander) and changing the file permission.

Using XDAndroid on T-Mobile TP2 no signal

Hello all,
Sorry if this is the wrong spot but I tried the extract and self install version of XDAndroid on my TP2 from t-mobile and runs but I don't get any signal on it.
When Installing I tried the rhodium and tilt2 options and both would give me no signal at all. It is currently running stock 6.5 WM from t-mobile and even tried to reformat the memory card twice and didn't help
What am I doing wrong on it?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Any ideas? Still can't get it working still tinkering with it since original post and no go. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

umm I really dont know the answer to your question but can you give the link or something for the XDAndroid. I install everything but it doesn't work ! I want to figure this out but I just can't. So can you please help me ! with steps or anything you could do.
Thanks alot !
Just a wild guess, but is your phone GSM or CDMA and are you using corresponding Android build?
Not positive but I think you have to turn airplane mode on and off top get it to work. If you really want android on the TP2 use the cab version From the sticky its pretty flawless install
Yeh I used the one from the sticky and no go. I have the TMOUS TP2 so would be the gsm version. Trying to find a friends that has winmo 6.1 to see if that makes a difference but anything I have tried on 6.5 stock rom goes no where. This may be a shot in the dark but does it need to have the hardspl or is stock ok. I have other wise not messed with the phone at all.
i believe from what i've read, stock should be okay. go Try checking your APN settings
Settings>Wireless and Network>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names
I have T-mobile US and mine is set to:
APN: epc.tmobile.com
a lot of the rest is blank/not too important. for MMS google the settings for tmobile
hope that helps!
(no service) - T-Mobile Touch Pro2
I just installed the XDANDROID31310 package and have deployed it. I can access wifi fine but I am not able to dial in/out. I have gone in and selected the following:
(from the available networks)
Voicestream
T-Mobile#@
they claim that I have registered with the network however I am still not able to dial in/out.
also, this was a clean deployment. I have not deployed any previous versions before this one.
Any ideas?
thanks!
Check your startup config and make sure where it says cdma is set to 0 not 1, just experienced the same issue and this was the cause. After changing the config file and restarting haret.exe this fixed my issue.
I had the same issue, with no signal what so ever. I was using the the cdma version instead of the gsm android build.
Check this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627997
I used the .cab file and installed it right from the phone. I believe it downloads as the "project android".
Go through andboot folder and run haret. Then once phone boots up it had signal!!

Yeas, that's the point.
I had the smae issue on my Orange TP2.
Setting is startup.txt was set to Force CDMA=1.
Changing it to Force CDMA=0 made the call service available
Thank you.
update some of the packages
hi,
had the same problem with the files from the thread. I barely got signal and had some other problems. I updated a number of the base files (modules, rootifs, system.ext2) from here: http://glemsom.users.anapnea.net/android2/htc-msm-linux/ and used highlandsum's RIL ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935710 ) but had to change the rootifs for it to work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009112
Sorry I can't tell you exactly which one worked, but I was "frantically" trying things to get call/data.
oh, while you're in the files playing, try adding this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885550
i have a tmous tp2:
here's my startup.txt config:
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 force_cdma=0 pm.sleep_mode=2 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800 hw3d.force=1 physkeyboard=rhod210"
boot
It can be difficult to get it to work the first few times, but once you do, you'll be super happy.
Thanks to all of the devs who have put a lot of work into making my phone young again.
had the same issue and heres what fixed it for me:
go into wireless and network settings
go into mobile networks
uncheck data roaming
check 'use only 2g networks'
at this point edge worked for me
then uncheck 'use only 2g networks'
3g came on for me at this point )

[Q] No connection in Android with new build

Android was working perfectly ok with a 3G connection, but the new build isn't connecting. Any help? I didn't see anything in the FAQ.
I uninstalled the CAB from WinMo and deleted excess files off the microsd card.
Any idea on what's going on?

Is the force cdma option enabled in your startup? This only applies if you are on a CDMA carrier, obviously.
Also, don't use MGJDroidUtil... it has been known to screw up the startup.txt, I thought they were updating it tho... Haven't heard anything about it so just stay away from it...
Thanks for the tip regarding not using the launcher. I have noticed that startup.txt getting corrupted.
The force CDMA is enabled in my startup. I am on Sprint.
same....
I have the same problem. Force CDMA is checked. The BLAZN and default releases were my first attempt at this when audio support was added. Both of those tested and worked as expected. So that's two of us so far.
BTW I told myself I'd donate once some great minds got audio working. Is it best to donate on the main page or to any other specific party?

To both of you... you may want to format & start over. lip008, you said "force cdma is checked" - that sounds like you're using MGJDroidUtil, because the startup.txt is a text file... you have to make sure the force cdma command is in the cmdline section.
Oh and for donations, I'd say the general XDAndroid Donation page is sufficient
I'm on GSM (T-Mobile), and I had the same issue (not the BLAZN build, the regular one)
Ok, how about APN settings? sukru, others, have you checked those?
Honestly I haven't had to add the APN manually for several builds, but maybe there's a regression in the new build.
As always, make sure your rootfs, zImage/modules are up to date.
Heres the solution if you are on sprint
Boot into windows mobile and connect to pc so you can access the files in the andboot folder on your sd card. .
or (the purpose of this is so you can edit your STARTUP.TXT using notepad)
You can take out your SD CARD and put it in a card reader and do this too.. as long as you are in windows mobile..
DO NOT DO THIS IN ANDROID..
Once you get access to the SD CARD files.. go into the ANDBOOT folder..
locate STARTUP.TXT and edit it with notepad
locate the long line of commands that starts with "Set cmdline"....
read the entire line and somewhere in the middle you will find a part that says..
force_cdma=0 (remove this part only)
and make sure you have this at the end.... htc_hw.force_cdma=1
NEXT: SAVE YOUR FILE.. AND HERES THE IMPORTANT PART..
***** BOOT WITH HARET.EXE***** NOT WITH THE MGJDroidUtil program...
THIS WORKED FOR ME.. and if any of the mods here want to add to this.. please feel free to clarify..
In lamens terms... On cdma network sprint only
THERE IS A CORRUPT ENTRY IN THE STARTUP.TXT that needs to be removed..
EDIT this entry using notepad while not booted up in android.
the entry needs to be removed mentioned above..
DO NOT USE: MGJDroidUtil to start android.. USE FILE EXPLORER.. AND start
HARET.EXE..
hope this helps..
MINE READS AS FOLLOWS:

lancevs, I appreciate then enthusiasm, but I don't think that would have any effect on GSM guys.
However, using MGJDroidUtil can still screw up anybody's startup.txt, regardless of the type of phone/radio... so he is correct in that fact:
DON'T USE MGJDROIDUTIL.EXE!!!!
Edit - didn't even think about it but sukru - do you have this force_cdma statement set to 1? For us CDMA guys it's required, but it probably will break you GSM guys if it is enabled... So check that out.
Yes for clarification
MY POST SAYS " FOR SPRINT USERS ONLY" at the TITLE...
GSM users, this does not apply..
I am on sprint and spent a good part of yesterday trying to figure out why i had no service.. I am on SPRINT which is a CDMA network..

Will check again tonight. Android was getting better each time, then it suddenly went down for me.
Hey guys. I had been running an early August (pre sound) release of Blazn, and everything had been fine. Today I decided to upgrade to get sound and 3D support, and every time I boot into Android it shows no signal, and shows I'm in airplane mode, and it will not let me turn the radio on.
I'm using a Sprint TP2, and I followed the instructions for earlier in the thread, but still no go.
Here's the line from my config file:
Code:
lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=2 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800 hw3d.force=1 physkeyboard=rhod400 htc_hw.force_cdma=1
Is there something wrong in it? I am launching Haret directly from TotalCommander File Explorer. Same problem if I use the config/startup utility.
Also, to install the latest version, I deleted the andboot and android folders on my SD card, then installed via cab.
That line looks correct, perhaps you should post your entire startup.txt.
Or just start with a clean build - wipe everything Android related and do a fresh install. The new startup utility is pretty slick, just be sure you check force cdma in the advanced section.
Seems to be random. About 30% of the time it will work, the other 70% of the time "no service" and no way to turn on the radio.

Well, perhaps you shouldn't use the update utility at all. It has been updated so it shouldn't corrupt the startup.txt, but I had issues with it... so personally I prefer to just use haret & modify the startup.txt manually.

Start with a clean build. Don't touch the startup utility, because you said you had previously. It's been known to corrupt the startup.txt, even these new builds I had my startup.txt go to 0 bytes.
hi I am having the same problems cant get android to connect with sprint on the tp2. I am no expert but have become very good at using windows mobile as a user not a developer so all i know is i downloaded a cab file that was haret version 9 28 it came with a little icon labeled android project when i launch it i get to a screen that lets me make some advanced setting and check for updates before and choose my phone model. It says aka sovereinty at the bottom. I have tried to boot without forcing cdma and it does not connect and when i choose force cdma it seems likes its kinda connecting but keeps getting a error message and then i force close and it automatically tries again. If i boot wiithout force cdma the i can connect via wifi but that works but seems to also disconnect after a few minutes, though that is not my concern for now. I tried with the sim and without. and have updated twice so i am know on 10 4. anybody that get help would be appreciated. I love my tp2 with windows mobile but am curuios to play with android being that sprint wont let me unless i change my plan and make me pay double. not interested because my tp2 works great now and has everything i need.
thanks

[Q] Android freezes after just a few minutes - HELP!

I've been using Android on my TP2 for most of this year - 24 hours a day (subject to reboots) for most of that time.
The day before yesterday, my phone wouldn't wake up. Nothing too unusual, simply reset, WinMo, HaRET, I'm back.
But then it froze again, about 2 minutes after getting to the lock screen. So I went through the cycle again - same results. Since then I have tried:
Deleting (renaming) my data.img
Creating a completely fresh install (FRX03, latest kernel and rootfs, no data.img)
Reformatting my SD card (which has never needed reformatting in all the months I have been using Android)
Using a different SD card
Removing any overclocking in startup
All of the above result in the same freeze. If I don't attend to it, then it goes into a sleep that it never wakes from. If I attend to it, it stays awake then freezes. It takes about as long as it takes to unlock the screen, menu, options, get as far as selecting my APN, then it freezes. This would be on a completely fresh install.
Windows Mobile seems to continue to work just as well as it ever has. I've had to use it for the last couple of days as I couldn't get Android running, and I hate it! I haven't changed anything recently on WinMo. As I don't use WinMo I haven't got anything installed that isn't stock after having to hard reset when the startup utility somehow messed it up. I don't overclock in Windows.
I am at a loss as to what to try next!
You've tried all the usual stuff...
What about your pm.sleep setting? You've also removed any scrap of overclocking? Please post your startup.txt.
Also, do you use the so-called 'startup utility'? You mention haret so I didn't think so, but then you mention it later in your post. This tool will change whatever is in your startup.txt, so for troubleshooting purposes I'd like to leave it out. Thanks!
This is the one I have been using with my setup with F22's rootfs (see the b4=HOME option):
Code:
set ramsize 0x100000009
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 clock-7x00.a11=500 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 force_cdma=0 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=2 rel_path=andboot hw3d.force=1 b4=HOME physkeyboard=rhod100_uk"
boot
However, I have also used a virgin setup both on my regular card and on the other card, which looks like this (only the keyboard changed from default):
Code:
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 clock-7x00.a11=500 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 force_cdma=0 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=2 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800 rel_path=andboot hw3d.force=1 physkeyboard=rhod100_uk"
boot
As far as sovereignty's startup app - I haven't used that since he launched it as whilst it appears to work fine, after I have used it I get the issue of not being able to run anything in WinMo until I hard reset :-( So I just use a shortcut link to HaRET.
Something else I forgot to mention in the original post was the the format of the main card was done using gparted.
What do you reckon arrrghhh? You may have noticed that I have been hanging around and posting on this forum for many many months, so I've seen and therefore tried most of the usual troubleshooting steps!
Oooh! Very excited! I'm writing this from XDAndroid!
I tried booting into it again after that last post, and lo and behold it didn't crash... yet!
I'm hoping now that the problems I've been having were a transient glitch that won't return!
Unfortunately the excitement was short lived
It lasted about 45 minutes, then died in its sleep. Next boot was shorter, and now it dies after about 10 minutes.

Indeed, which is much appreciated
At any rate, let's break down your cmdline, as both of your startup.txt's are a little wonky.
Code:
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 [B]msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78[/B] [B]clock-7x00.a11=500[/B] msmvkeyb_toggle=off [B]pmem.extra=1[/B] force_cdma=0 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 [I]pm.sleep_mode=2[/I] rel_path=andboot hw3d.force=1 b4=HOME physkeyboard=rhod100_uk"
Please remove anything in bold, those are 'deprecated' commands - shouldn't hurt anything tho, they should be ignored by the kernel (I thought).
Now my next question, is why do you have 2 different ramsizes? Mine is
Code:
set ramsize 0x10000000
which is what you have in your "vanilla" startup, but it doesn't look very vanilla to me... Let me break that one down as well:
Code:
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 [B]msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 clock-7x00.a11=500[/B] msmvkeyb_toggle=off [B]pmem.extra=1[/B] force_cdma=0 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 [I]pm.sleep_mode=2[/I] [I]acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800[/I] rel_path=andboot hw3d.force=1 physkeyboard=rhod100_uk"
Now in both, anything that is in bold should be removed, anything in italics you should consider changing to see if it has an effect. First, in this second cmdline statement I would remove the OC statement entirely, just to rule it out. Second, you may want to try a different pm.sleep setting. With that said, mine is set to 2 and works just fine
Hrm... Just had a thought. Did you update to the 12/04 kernel? Perhaps something in that kernel broke rhod100's again. Not saying that's the case, just a shot in the dark. Revert back to the next oldest kernel if the cmdline monkeying doesn't change anything.
Thanks. I've removed the extra guff, and removed the extra '9' - that must have got in there when trying to edit the file in WinMo!
This is the startup on my regular build, so I'd already removed the overclocking, and I left the sleep on 2.
And touch wood, it's working... it's been 2.5 hours so far...
Thanks again!

Now that you are in testing mood P) try setting pm.sleep_mode=1.
If it doesn't lock up, can't be worse for battery duration.

[Q] xdandroid only starts sometimes, haret seems to just freeze

I used to use my Qtek 9100 as my main phone, but then I bought a second hand (second hand for me, was new for the seller) HTC Touch Pro2. I have been using it 'happily' (even with touch flo disabled it's still slow, and i'm not the only one with speed issues).
Anyway, when I got it, I made the mistake of not wiping it completely, however, the previous owner had all ready reset it to 'factory defaults'.
Today I decided to try running xdandroid again, after the miserable time i had before, but I have come across the same problem again.
(to fill you in further, I am using all the other bits for andboot from the blazn rar I downloaded late last year, but am using the FRX06 system file)
When I tapped on 'HARET' the first time, the tiny setup text scrolled down the screen, the animation played and in about ten minutes I was in Android. I couldn't get the data connection working, so (as I had no other access to the internet) I powered the phone of safely (holding down the end call key until the three android options appeared and selected 'power off') and booted back into winmo to find what settings to use.
I then went back to file explorer, navigated to the andboot folder and tapped on haret. (see details of varied results below) I then pressed the reset button with the styus, waited for winmo to boot again and tried again, and again and again etc.
one of three things happened when i tapped on haret:
1) the 'loading linux' bar went along and stayed there. no double vibrate, nothing. reset device to get back to working winmo.
2) (more rare, only happened twice) a large portion of the right bottom corner and right side turned black, nothing else happened.
3) 'loading linux' bar appears, disappears, nothing happens.
Only one (other than the first boot) out of these about 15 attempts resulted in android actually booting again.
any ideas what's wrong?
(btw, i havent changed the default.txt file, it's still just
"set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 7x00.a11=500 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=2 rel_path=andboot hw3d.force=0 htc_battery_smem.fake=0 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=787000 physkeyboard=tilt2 htc_hw.force_cdma=0 "
Boot"
this is exctly the same issue i had several months ago :/

Do not do this!
Start over fresh... Should work fine. Also, post in the build thread, no need to create a new thread.
Follow all the steps in the first post, and wipe that SD card clean of anything from previous installs. You shouldn't reuse old stuff, especially in your case 'ancient' stuff .
ok, thanks
where should I obtain all the files that aren't the main image? (I'm afraid I get confused when trying to find the latest parts as it seems to all be scattered across two wikis, two websites and this forum )
(apologies for starting a new thread, wasn't sure where to put it)

I made a full bundle on March 25th. Everything you need to get up and running is in there.
I'll admit there's _a lot_ of stuff in testing right now. At least start with the base install, then we can talk about integrating testing stuff. Also, the stuff that is being tested right now is going to make it to the main XDAndroid builds in one form or another - just takes time.
okay, thank you very much
Just follow my introduction to android thread to get started from scratch again. The threads in my signature and stickied.
Seems that you have oc'd a bit too much
remove this "acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=787000"
from cmdline in startup and see if it boots
I had a similar problem so I removed oc line and it didn't boot either.
I solved this by overclocking to safe speed or default clock.
This kept happening to me because I was set to overclock on startup in WinMo. I can OC to 768 in Android, but I have to set my clock to the default 528 BEFORE launching Haret.
Thanks all for the replies (sorry for taking so long, I don't think I got an email notification and I find xda-forums rather hard to navigate (esp. some sort of subscribed threads page)).
I installed a more linear style start menu 'tweak' from a site that the HTC site had linked to. After I uninstalled it as I did not like it and it hardly worked, all the names of the start menu items were completely lower case. Now, I like lower case in some circumstances, but having it everywhere was annoying. I navigated to the start section in explorer, but those were still capitalized at the start. I found that adding and then removing a letter to each link's name would fix the capitalization on the start menu. I spent about half an hour methodically making each one work. However, I then accidentally dropped the phone on the floor and the battery fell out. I turned the device back on, and to my horror, they had all turned lower case again. I could not cope with this, so I wrote down a list of all the programs I had installed on it and called this the perfect opportunity to hard reset the device
(This was/is the first time I had wiped the phone since purchase.)
After wiping it, I didn't install the overclocking program for WinMo on the TP2 and I tapped the haret file in explorer. And it booted Android. I restarted the device and tried again, and it worked first time. It now works more often than not
(one query though. How can I tell that GenY DualBoot where to find haret?)
Thanks for the help

That entire ramble and this is your question...
This is a WinMo / Gen.Y issue...
Read the Gen.Y thread. There's a registry key you have to change... This has nothing to do with Android development tho, so please refrain from asking non-Android dev questions in the Android dev section... thanks!
