[Q] Sdcard problem on wildfire with cyanogen 6 - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, im having a big big problem and i wanna know if you have had the same problem before. I had htcsense but now im using cyanogenmod 6.0.
After installing cyanogenmod 6 i can't save any video or mp3 file in the sdcard. When i unplug the usb cable and then connect it again i can see that the file was corrupted. That's the reason why i can't install wildpuzzle because it corrupt the update.zip after unpluging the cable and alway trhow this message while installing "E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip (bad) sdcard"
Please let me know if you have had this problem before, i dont wanna buy other sdcard till i know the real problem.
Thanks

Corrupt files with verifying ... :(

Hi,
I rooted myt HTC Hero and I'm trying to install a custom rom.
With EVERY rom I get:
Verifying update package ...
E:Corrupt file:
system/lib/libwebcore.so (this is random!)
E: Verification failed
Installation aborted
What am I doing wrong ? I reformatted my SD card, but nu luck ...
What recovery are you using?
Try upgrading to the latest Amon recovery or make one yourself.
AND/OR
you can try re-signing the zip file yourself.
I'm not recoverything anything .. just installing a custom rom through update.zip ...
Could be your SD card, or it may be that you've been "opening" the update.zip on your PC.
Regards,
Dave
Nope... tried 4 different SD card and 4 rom's ... not openend om my pc ....
strange .... anyone had this before ?
Hiya mate,
I had the same problem trying to install Villain rom 2.0.1 - it turned out it was a dodgy download of the rom file (even though i didn't notice any errors when i downloaded it). Try to redownload it again and see if that fixes it.
Also something to mention is that the corrupt version seemed to happen only when i used a download manager to get the file.
Hope you manage to get it sorted.
Jamie.

2nd time rom install help?

hi guys & girls,
i rooted my phone and installed oxygen-2.0.1 about a month ago but im getting a bit bored of that rom now so decided to change it heres where im getting confused?
i put my phone in recovery, done a data/factory reset
mounted usb so my sd card was synced dragged over the rom i wanted to try which RCMIxHD_v3.5 (as a rar file) then i renamed it to update.zip unmounted sd card then applyed the sdcard:udpate.zip let it do its thing then i rebooted.
all it does is reboot as a freash install of oxygen-2.0.1 what am i doing wrong
help would be great on this
im using a htc desire phone (forgot to add if that helps)
Put your new rom on sd card-make sure it is a .zip file-even though it may be associated with winrar,no need to rename it.
Choose install zip from sd card and then choose zip option to find the new rom ,then install it.(If it fails to install then toggle signature verification off)
Press back button and choose reboot system now.
If it's a rar file you need to extract the .zip file inside of course.
hi m8 thanks for the reply also twogubs,
when i try to install,
it starts to run and then hits me with installation aborted E can 't open/sdcard/blablabla (rom im trying to install)
(Bad)
due think it could be the rom im trying to install if so....
you guys got any pointers on some shizzhot roms,,, would be cool

[Q] LeeDroid 3.0.8.2 Help

hi,
i have just tried to install LeeDroid 3.0.8.2 and am panicked that i've bricked my phone.
I partitioned the sdcard using Rom Manager - also downloaded and flashed the rom via rom manager.
It seemed to do its thing fine and the leedroid screen loaded up, but now it just keeps looping back on itself showing me that its installing making this funny beeping sound and then goes back to the leedroid screen for maybe 15 seconds and repeats.
Anyone know ever have this experience? can any one help?
thanks
Please make a search...
The best way to avoid bootloop is first to partition the SDcard with Gparted...
Then you need to check a few things (your hboot version among others)
good reading !!!
If it's looping at that point it is almost certainly a problem with the SD-card ext3 partition. Rom Manager is not terribly reliable with making that.
The Gparted suggestion is by far the best solution (assuming you have a PC with a card reader, rather than trying to do it with card mounted in phone)
If you *do* have a reader then try LiveCD with gparted, burn to CD and boot from that.
Make your first partition FAT32, and your ext3 partition at the end of the card. (1GB recommended). Make sure both partition are marked as "primary".
Sorry for jumping in here, but I also need help with this rom (sorry uber noob and all). Figured since the thread was so fresh may as well ask here.
Basically trying to install leedroid v3.0.8.2 (data ++) for my original htc desire.
Cant download from either of the links, they both lead to url 404s.
And i also tried downloading from both rom manager and also the minisite, these downloaded but seem to be corrupt. I cant open the zip file and trying to flash it returns a cant flash (bad) message.
Anybody know where i can get a working zip of this version?

Click to collapse
Have you tried here and choose the ROM you want from the white scrolling list? The 3.0.8.3 data version downloads for me.

[Q] HTC One X with CoreDroid 4.4 Stuck at boot/startup

Hello everyone,
I have a huge problem with my OneX and desperate for any help. Usually the search engine of this Board gives me all the answers I need to solve my "rooting"-problems, but this time I have no Clue:
I had a rooted HTC OneX with CoreDroid 3.5 working fine. Two days ago I recognized a new version on the CoreDroid website (CD 4.4) downloaded it, copied it to the SD card, installed it as update with CWM. But now EVERYTIME I start the phone it boots and the moment (+/- 1 sec) after I can see the Background and the "lock-screen-coin" it stops responding to anything I do and reboots over and over and over.
Back when I had an HTC desire I just connected the mSDCard to my PC copied a different ROM and installed it, which is NOT possible with the OneX because there is no mSDC... There are no other Roms on the internal flash memory and apparently I have no backups. I reinstalled CD 4.4 with (I think) every possible installing options - no effect - I need to get access to this god damn internal flash storage in order to copy a different ROM (I guess thats the only method of solving this) from my PC on it. I already tried the CWM funtion "Mount USB Storage", still CWM replies "Unable to open UMS Lunfile (No such file or directory)".
What can I do about this, or am I fuc*ed?
I really hope someone can help me with this,
Have a nice day
