What happens when you get a cheap case - XPERIA X10 Accessories

Well it will break obviously

thanks..........

Not necessarily. It depends on what you define as cheap. Are you referring to cheap in the sense that it's an inexpensive product or cheap in the sense that the product is of inferior quality? I have purchased many inexpensive products over the years and they have worked perfectly fine for me. Why spend $50 on something when I can get something that does the exact same thing for $5.
If you are referring to a product of inferior quality then there is a chance that it will break, yes. But there is still the chance that a product of more superior quality will break as well. The charging cable that came with my Ipod (official apple cable I suppose) is all sorts of cheap crap. the white protective casing around the wires started coming off not even a month after I got it and the cable is now unusable. I could have purchased a replacement from Best Buy, again an official apple cable, for $30 but I instead chose to order a $2 cable off ebay. the $2 cable works much better than the apple one and it has yet to fray or break after ~2 years of use.
Your argument is flawed. Go back to school.

I agree with pawnty, Ipods ear piece is also expensive but a piece of crap after a couple of months(4-6 months) of use, the rubber just rot and took of.

Any suggestions for different accessories to serve the same purpose?
Skip the 3500 MAH as there seems to be some battery door issues.
Get some back up batteries and an extra charger. Throw an extra battery in your wallet and you will be happier for it!
Get a high quality case! Seidio makes a nice active line, Casemate "Barely There" looks pretty slick, and the TPU cases out there are GREAT. Find something you like that covers and protects without too much bulk. Also, bonus if they are easy enough to get on and off.
Buy PLENTY of MicroUSB cables. Trust me, as I have 4 in my house and one in my purse to take care of any charging needs.
Buy a quality Car Charger. You can find good ones from reputable online sites for not much money or goto walmart and buy the one for BlackBerry Storm and it will work brilliantly. This phone is very sensitive to chargers, so if its blackberry or HTC approved, it should work just fine.
Root your phone with NAND! This is the biggest thing in getting the most out of your phone if you are not afraid and feel pretty confident. think of how many people JB their iPhones? Well this is actually more essential to get what you want and make the device as autonomous as possible.
GOOD LUCK!

Yes there are serious female geeks. My purse is silver and stylish and I own about 30+ pairs of shoes. Yet I have a full electronics workbench with solering station, MM, drill, Dremel, and full sets of hand tools in metric and us ( sans an osc scope - waiting for a DSO nano ). Parts hidden in colorful rolling drawer carts.
My boyfriend is equally geeky ( he is a .net enthusiast) and we bond over making arduino projects, music applications, and learning from each other.
Maybe someday we can be like the great Ladyada and her crew.

also no problems with the 3500mah door. I've popped mine on and off about a dozen times at least in the last two weeks.
regular guy, pocket kept except at a desk or a car. I posted this review on another forum for the battery:
Positives besides the battery life:
when i put it on a table face up it looks like it's hovering all the time. It looks awesome. Everyone is curious.
It's very protective of the camera lens. It's like impossible to damage the lens unless you actually try.
The material feels cool.
It now weighs enough to be used as a ranged weapon (1d6+2 19-20/x2 if anyone is wondering)
Negatives besides the bulkiness:
Not enough holes at the speaker, I'm not sure why this is an issue at all, i'm disappointed in Seidio's design testing. The lack of holes actually makes a difference in sound quality and volume, albeit VERY minor, I noticed it when I swapped and I did further testing and now it bothers me.
Covers the red rim around the camera lens. I honestly liked seeing that red rim. I know, I'm reaching, but I really did like it.
where can i find a girl like that!!!

Cheap and Easy Phone Stands

So I found this pack of padded cable ties in my desk and thought I could bend them into a paperclip-style stand like the one I use at work.
It didn't work, but I discovered that, with some minor adjustments, they can still be made into effective little stands.
I bought them at Fry's Electronics for $5.99 for a pack of six. They are the 7" Urashima Taro Wire Flexi Ties II.
Seems better then the plunger I ordered:/ Seems as someone used their noodle.

Galaxy 10.1 Starter Bundle (15 Items)

Just purchased this... I'll post a review upon receipt. I was going to purchase the ArmorSuit screen cover and rooCase Executive, but thought I'd give this bundle a shot... surely once of the cases will pass The accessories are a nice bonus, especially car adapter & retractable cable.

What a great deal. I look forward to your review. I agree even if the cases suck you get some great accessories.
I already had a post on this. I think I was the first to recieve one. I paid 9.99. I have some pics and was very impressed with the silicone and you case. Although the flu was supposed to be black and the clear silicone. They were the opposite. All the holes were cut and lined up very well. All accesories were 2100ma.
Too many pics to post so here's an album.

I no longer have my Sammy so I thought I would just share. Now if I can only get rid of this full body carbon fiber armour suit.

Whoa, did you get this same package that's linked to Amazon for only $9.99? If so, where? $10 is worth it even if it's to have an extra USB cord/charger for the office. I hate carrying my one proprietary cable around to make sure I have enough juice wherever I go.

Definitely looking forward to your review. This looks to be worth it for $35 although the leather case looks pretty ghetto and I bet the quality of the chargers, cables will be sub-par.
What the heck is the fishbone for???

Yes I did get this same one. I caught it the first morning they posted it. A few days later amazon picked it up for $19.99. Now it's at $35.99. The two skin type cases fit perfect with the slimmest profile. The leather case as stated in my post is backup purpose type. The fishbone is for rolling up your headphones where they don't get tangled up. Shipping was two days and they shipped the same day I ordered it.
I got this when it was $9.99. I wish I'd bought more than one!
I had originally purchased the flip case at Best Buy when I bought the Tab for $49. I like the flip case in this bundle deal much better!
Funny as it may seem I've grown accustomed to using the stylus. I like it a lot.
The two power supplies included, car and wall, are both 2100ma so they're strong enough to charge the Tab.
The two snap on cases, a black gel-like one and a hard plastic clear one, fit perfectly. In fact, the clear one fits so good it's hard to get off.
The ear buds included are smaller than normal. I normally hate ear buds but these fit my ear canal much better and are really comfortable.
I'm amazed at all the stuff that I got for $9.99. This is better than a Woot Bag of Crap!
Even at $35 it's an excellent deal. Go for it.
Quick update to what has already been reviewed:
1) Silicone cases are great, both black (favorite) and white
2) Portfolio case is great, especially if you carry business cards
Pretty much everything else is junk The car charger doesn't actually charge the TAB. The retractable plug would be awesome if it charged from a computer USB or car outlet, but it doesn't. The fishbone was a neat idea, but it actually kinks up your headphone cord (and is a PAIN to unravel).
My screen cover didn't align with my Galaxy - the 'hole' was offset to the camera (it aligns with the light sensor - weird).
The only other thing I used was the aux cable - it is good for plugging the TAB into my home stereo system.
For the three cases, its still a good deal - but don't get your hopes up
Ghost
And, now it's up to $50. Not worth it at that price.
So I went in for one of these..
Initial impressions:
The 3 cases.. Eh.. the leather book case makes the tab SUBSTANTIALLY heavier.. However, since I'm using a netbook bag to carry everything around, this doesn't bother me. Its sturdy, and as long as I have a level surface, I can stand it up.. The rubberized covers fit nice, and I've not decided which I'm going to stick with (using the bookcover for now)..
The stylus works
The car charger WORKS..
The screen protector: Someone had mentioned fitment issues, but I had none of that.. All the holes lined up where they should, on the cases and the protector itself.
The extra 30-pin non-retractable cable is basically a duplicate of the stocker.. works for power charge in the car at least, I've not tried a data connection..
I've not tried the retractable one for anything, nor the AC adapter. Total cost was $57, and while not cheap, the cases and the working car adapter helps me justify the cost.. the rest is gravy.

Samsung official flip case

I want to get the samsung flip case that covers the screen. It was being included for free with the order from some retailers.
Can it be purchased separately?
Thanks for any feedback.

Yes. I got mine at Handtec UK.
i bought mine on ebay. but it seems the price has hiked up a fair bit now.
please don't bother with buying it, the build quality is terrible, and it peels off after a few weeks of use. definitely not worth what it's selling for
Got mine on ebay for $45 shipped. I actually like it as I can fold it back to fit in my car dock quite easily.
It's integrated into a backplate that's slightly raised so it protects the Camera from scratches.
Thanks for the replies. I ordered it from mobile fun uk.

I've had no problems with mine. I have abused it also by puttiing it into tight desk and car docks which scrape the sides. It is still in great shape.
Mine is doing fine too.. No problem with quality
Low quality
I'd agree about the low quality comment.
The line along the edges started to peel off first, and now the actual cover is starting to peel.
Fortunately, I'm expecting my easecase soon, so, I'm hoping it survives another week or two, and, I hope the easecase is as good as others have indicated it is.
The most annoying thing about this case is it's actually not for sale (mine had a sticker that said "not for resale"). They are given free in some countries where Notes are purchased.
eBayers are making a fortune on this free item. Capitalism at it's finest but oh well.

Too true, although I like the idea of the flip case, mine starting peeling off after a couple of weeks.
Also mine started peeling off inspite my intensive care
I got mine with the phone. After 2 months it's still ok.
I think that a flip case that does not need to change the phone back might be better for those like me who are used to connect it to the car dock often, to get the latest traffic info. Even if it might be possible to hook the phone-case combo into the dock, nevertheless it seems to put strain on the micro USB connector, which might being damage in time.

[from my Galaxy Note]
I have the flip case and I have to say it made the whole experience of carrying the note much better .it is better than other cases because it does not add bulk.

Sad to hear that it's such bad quality. I am using mine for a week now (Netherlands) and no problems yet. Lovin it! Also bought the Brodit Carkit but as people mentioned, won't fit with flip case :-(
So decided to put the normal back cover on and buy a pouch (Going to try a neoprene for now).
German purchasers of the Note can get it for free now under https://samsung.de/de/microsites/galaxynote_flipcover/Default.aspx

Anyone have the iOttie One-Touch windshield and dashboard car mount for Galaxy Note?

http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-One-Touch-windshield-dashboard-Galaxy/dp/tech-data/B007FH716W
Seems to get really good reviews on amazon, but wondering if anyone here has it, or would recommend anything else? Its been years since i've had a car mount because they always rattle and fall off. I live in texas usa and summer temps get up to 110F, 140F+ inside the car so im looking for something very durable.
Looks good.
I purchased the cheap $10 one off ebay and it works well...on windshield.
I think its hard to get these to grip on leather/synthetics with any decent strength.
PS eBay one broke when I threw my bag on it. It broke the 4-pronged plastic bits.

Yeah monoprice has some super cheap ones ($3.57) too that get an 85% positive review:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10840&cs_id=1084001&p_id=5272&seq=1&format=2
The reason I hesitate is because I wont something that will stay on in the heat. I'm not really sure any suction cup type device will do that.
Well I wound up going with the tetrix FIX for $16.73 from amazon. Hopefully it is strong enough to hold all 7oz (with tpu case) of my galaxy note. It should hold, I found a guy who used a droid bionic (6oz with case) and said it held just fine. I'll post a review when I get it and its installed.
