That's not a bad price at all. Makes me feel more comfortable if I break mine hah.

Seems like an awesome price. Now, the question is how hard is it to change?

Thanks babybacon

Before you do that, it's probably a good idea to take it apart and find out which size connector cable your screen has. The Evo two types, a "small" and a "big" one.
I'm posting these amazon links for reference about the flex cable size, I am 100% sure you can get these for cheaper elsewhere...
A "big" one: http://www.amazon.com/ORIGINAL-Display-Screen-Sprint-HTC/dp/B004RDGTJ2/ref=pd_sim_e_7
A "small" one: http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Evo-Replacement-LCD-Screen/dp/B00427SHXO
Again, there are surely places where you can get these for cheaper, but the amazon links do have photos of the items so you can see the difference between the two flex connector sizes.

And get a replacement... why do you have insurance with BB if you're not going to use it? My understanding is that they don't charge a deductible anyway.
I may be misreading things, but from the OP's description, it made it sound like his phone has a protection plan with Best Buy, whereas his lady doesn't have that or regular insurance.

Start on step 20.
Do your research, ask many Others I have helped on this forum with repairs. Yur best bet is to spend the extra money and buy it preassembled. I had for sale screens with the digitizers already attached directly from htc. Wth the plastic stil on the front. Many members purchased from me but at the moment I'm sold out. Save yourself ANY little or big headaches, spend the extra few dollars and buy it all in one piece. Maybe a few of my friends or customers might chime in...good luck
Thanks guys the help us much appreciated.

I did this. I bought the kit that came with only the glass and sticky tape. It works great. I used a few things to clean the sticky stuff from the bezel but a little knife or small electronics screw driver might do. Otherwise its like the videos I saw. Fixed my wife's Evo in a pinch. If you want to know exactly who I bought mine from let me know and I'll fire up a desktop and look.

Someone said they were using rain ex, this sounds similar. I just checked it out , seems the local sprawl-mart has it. The website pic want that black bottle in your link, but the description was nearly identical. 20 bucks and its in stock. I'm gonna pick some up and try it out on my old galaxy s phone first. I'll report back after the Patriots whoop Arizona.
I read about using RainX as well so I have decided to give it a try since I already had a bottle in the garage. So far it has created a very smooth and slick surface. It has also kept the fingerprints off, but I have only started using it. I will let you all know how it works out.

Car wax? Can't say I've heard of that one! But have used RainX on old TF101. Worked all right but needed re-applying after a while. And one didn't get the "added protection" of a film.
Are all the 10.1 the same as in cases i can usena n8000 case on my n8013

I tried the RainX but was not to impressed with its durability. As much as I use my tablet I would have to reapply almost daily. Which sucks considering the time it takes to apply then remove the haze.

Agree. It was an interesting experiment but that it didn't "last" prompted me to move to a protector.

Home button stickers

My gf ordered a home button sticker for her phone. Even though its not my style lol it dose feel really nice on the phone. Its easier to find if not lookin at the phone and makes the phone look better. Especially with a defender case that has a built in screen protector. I ordered a chrome blue one

Do these things actually stay in place for extended periods of time? Or do you have to use a thick screen protector that has a cutout to help keep them planted?

mine is still on from day one, as long as you dont pull them on and off, they should look good.
I just wish they illuminated the home button.

All good here. bought these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16087807105...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I have the silver one. Same make by the look of things. Absolutely beautiful.
I ordered it because I've also ordered a tempered glass screen protector.

Broken screen + Big dents in bezel.

It happened yesterday, i knew it would happen at some point...
Anyone know how much it will cost me? The device is still working fine, but i have no idea for how long it will..
It's pretty funny actually, i was thinking about buying a case, a few hours later my phone fell on the ground.
So, any cheap repair options and useful cases for the future?
Visit cnn.cn I've bought from them before and have no complain. You'll find the rear housing for around $10 and if your screen still responds to touch and asking as your amoled is intact then you probably just need to replace the front glass which is also cheap and around the rang of $10 - $20. However, if your amoled or digitizer is unresponsive then the whole screen assembly would cost you around $320. Good luck.
