Brando screen protectors - Galaxy S II Accessories

Succumbed today and ordered my GS2. Thought I would check whether Brando are showing any screen protectors yet and was a bit surprised they already are. Ordered mine. Normally they don't put these on the website so hopefully they already are. Will see whether I get a despatch email by tomorrow or Wednesday morning.
EDIT: Had an email will be posted this week

bro why u need a screen protector, as u know its already protected with gorilla glass. may be u dnt trust gorilla but let me tell u bro i m using my omnia hd for last 1 and a half year n nokia n8 for past 7 months without screen guard, and not even a single scratch is there on both the phone's screen. so have faith on gorilla glass,

Gorilla glass is not unscrachtable

.. and I want to be able to put my phone in my pocket without worrying if my keys or coins are in the pocket. For me it's peace of mind.
And by the way Brando shipped my screen protector yesterday so hopefully will get it about the same time as the phone.

Where did you order it from? I want the anti-glare version...

Rather than asking, I googled it. I ordered mine yesterday.
Here's the link for the anti-glare version:
http://shop.brando.com/bw-cellphone-screen-protector-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-_p05570c1290d011.html

Thanks for the heads up guys. Just ordered myself one.

To be fair, I googled it and searched the Brando site. They usually use numbers like i9100, so maybe that's where I went wrong.
Thanks for the link though.

Fair enough. I did spend a little while figuring out how it worked. Not the most user friendly site is it?

I barely installed mine before removing it. It looked terrible...
I'm now using the SGP Steinheil Oleophobic screen protector, a fantastic product.
Sent from my happy place.

Screen protector

Anyone spotted a good screen protector for the Arc? I used a Brando in the past and was very happy with it, but I can't find the Arc on their homepage yet.
I've just ordered one from e-bay ;-)
Hey, I just read that there might be a screen protector installed out of the box!
yes that is true..
once u remove the top film..
look carefully..
factory fitted screen protector is on the screen..
also there is an extra protector amongst the warranty card and papers
Yes, mine had already a screen protector installed. An theres an extra in the box.
And there was a really leathercase.
i got mine two days ago with a screen protector in the box but i looked real carefully and didnt seem to see one pre fitted on the screen. Maybe i looked wrong
I also got an HDMI cable and leather case in the box.
can someone please tell me that maybe there are some countries where the screen protector is not pre fitted ? is that possible ? or have i not looked hard enough ?
There can be regional differences of course (some parts of Europe get a 16GB SDHC and a leather case...), but supposedly the protector is extremely hard to see. It was the same with the X10, and most people didn't even realize there was a protector installed and put another one right over it.
Just noticed it had a protector already installed. I installed the one that came in the box, so I now have to protectors on the screen lol.
Clarivue recently released protectors for the Arc. Cant post a link cuz I'm new here!
I like their anti glare protectors, because fingerprint marks are not as visible - which is very important for me for a touch screen device.
Although they are a little more expensive, you get two in a pack. You can use coupon clear630 and get 10% off. If your ordering 3 or more items you get another 10% off.
I got my Arc 3 days after it came out in Dubai, checked clarivue that day they didn't have them for the Arc, so I ordered anti-glare protectors from eBay. I checked clarivue again yesterday and they had them.
lol i also didnt notice thrs a preinstalled sp on the screen thus applied the extra sp.. now i have double protection!!! lol...
+1
At the factory, they pose it without any imperfection
Found one in the box but my eyes aren't good enough to see if theres one on already :-B I assume there is

You will see a very small line just inside the edge of the screen itself going all the way around. I can guarantee you already have one already installed
If in doubt use a magnifying glass.
anyone used a 3M Vikuiti ADQC27 for the arc? Does it fit well?
hey everyone, just so you know SGP has put out their screen shields for the arc, imo they are one of the best so, give it a look and enjoy
http://www.sgpstore.com/cell-phone/sony-ericsson/xperia-arc.html
Have anyone thought about Invisible Shield from zagg
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
i just bought one a few days ago off ebay... still waiting for it to come in.
i had one on my x10 and i liked it. it is much more resistant to scratches than sony ericsson's so-called 'scratch resistant shatter proof sheet on mineral glass'. apparently zagg invisishield skins are made with the same material used to protect military helicopter blades (from what i've heard). one of the downsides to it is it makes finger swiping a bit harder because the screen is a bit more 'grippy'.
Personally, I would avoid Zaag, they are so tricky to apply. My recommendation has to be Martin Fields' or Brando.
whoah!..i just read this thread...and realised that there was a screen protector already preinstalled..unfortunately I had applied the one provided in the box a few days back (horribly i must add)...nice feature by Sony, but they shud mention it..
has anybody tried to remove the factory installed screenprotector? The reason i ask is because i removed the extra screenprotector that i installed when i got the phone since it had some inperfections, now i have a scratch in what i hope is the factory screenprotector and not the screen itself and a invisibleshield waiting to be installed but i cant remove the factory installed one
yea... screen protectors are a b*tch to install. do it once and do it right.

Good Screen Protector available in UK

Hello,
First of all i would like to state that I am aware there are quite a few screen protector threads, the problem I have is that being based in UK I cannot get some of them
So I wanted to ask you guys, what screen protectors would you recommend that are available in the UK? I used to buy all my protectors from eBay, but I hate the rainbow effect you get when you look at the screen in the sunlight. Also I would need one that wouldn't leave any finger print marks, as the ones I have are practically useless in that department

There are many screen protector topics started already, most will ship to UK, why not ask in one of the topics?
http://www.spigen.com/
Try the Xtremeguard protectors because they only work out $1.25(75p) each if you buy 3 or more and use code Big75, and shipping is only $3.78(2.40) and mine only took 3 days to get to UK.

Screen protection

So I was wondering if anyone had input on a good screen protector. I keep trying the cheaper ones an I'm always left with bubbles that I can't get out. Or its just not cut right.
Is it worth it to pay for the high end ones? Are they better with bubbles?? Amazon reviews I can't always trust, but you guys I do
Suggestions??
I'll take AOKP anything

I second this. They feel closest to glass to me.
OK cool. What about application? How hard are they to install? I used to do vinyl on windows and walls, that's no where near as impossible to apply smoothly

Go with Zagg Invisible Shield. BUT take it to an official Zagg/invisible shield employee..you can usually find booths in the mall. i say this because they take the time to apply it the correect way. unlike bestbuy or sprint who would just wipe the screen and slap the thing on there...or look up a youtube video on how to install invisible shield correctly...
zagg screen protectors are great.
I really like the ones that come with otterbox's any cheap ones its just better to not have one at all

Thanks! I just replaced a broken screen and wanted to get some good protection. I've bought off amazon before and their stuff just is cheap and doesn't feel right. Going to see if there is a Zagg booth in the mall by me!
hi
I got these matte finished screen protectors for like $5 on amazon there pretty good. if your still looking i can send you the link to it.
Honestly, I had a protector on mine for 6-8 months, I can't remember exactly. Took it off and never looked back.
I love the feel of the glass, and it's always in it's Sena leather slipcase, or charging. I don't think I would consider putting a protector back on at all, and when I upgrade this fall (Note 3???) I doubt I'll use one on it either.

Ordered. thanks!
I've used them in the past with no issues, just order 2 screen protectors and 2 glass screen protector for £9,so can't really argue
Just got a glass and a regular for $3.40, not expecting the best here but that is cheaper than most shipping and will last me until I decide what the best one to get is. Thanks for the post.
I have one on right now. What's so crappy about it? I'm sure all of the glass ones are equally crappy but for a couple of bucks who can complain haha
got the tempered glass a few days ago...the size wasnt correct...my m8 had the perfect fit for the tempered glass...i spoke to them they are replacing my order but hopefully they have fixed the size of the glass it didnt cover the screen completely

Rhino Shield screen protector

I almost tried every possible maker out there for a glass screen protector for my s8+.. Alllllll are as bad as it can ever be.. From the 50$ glass to the 6$ once..
Given all the above.. And given my experience from the pixel xl.. Rhino was the only company that made a perfect glass screen protector, FULL ADHESIVE.. yes full adhesive, BUTTT no idea if they were able to perfect this one, no mention in the website if it's full adhesive or not, but i took my chances that at least it should work better thab any out there even if not full adhesive.. I pre ordered it, and i think they started shipping..
Crossing my fingers that they will step up and make one that really works.. I live out of the US, so mine will take few more days to arrive, but if any pre ordered and is expecting to receive it soon.. Please share your experience with us here. (while we "i am" waiting)..

I ordered one back on 4/10. That was the first day that I saw the Rhinoshield products for the S8+ online. I ordered the Crashguard bumper as well as the tempered glass screen protector. When I ordered on the 10th the site said the orders would ship from 4/10 - 4/20 for the bumper and 4/15 - 4/25 for the screen protector. The 21st came and my bumper wasn't even shipped, so I sent them a message on Friday asking how I was supposed to protect my phone now LOL....I was being a bit of a jackass but still if they couldn't ship it by the 20th don't tell me you can. The girl sent me back an email offering me free 2 day international shipping and told me that I would for sure be in the first batch if I switched my color to black for the bumper (I had originally gotten the gray to go with my arctic silver phone) so I did. Now she originally told me that the screen protectors would be ready before the bumpers so I assume this package contains both items.....my order says fulfilled and there is nothing to lead me to believe it is partially fulfilled.
Just this morning I got a shipping notice and it has been picked up by Fedex in Taiwan. It is supposed to be at my door on Wednesday according to Fedex.....I'll let you guys know how it is.
Never has luck with glass protectors so i al with wet instsll skinomi ones.
I did order a rhinoshield crash graud.
Kinda sucks that they delay the release.

I just got mine at my house and hour ago. I installed the TGSP first. It isn't what everyone here is hoping for I don't think. Regardless of what the spokesperson told the guy in chat the adhesive does not cover the entire back of the protector, it is just like the other curved ones that have it on the sides/edges. With that said, it does appear to be the good silicone adhesive. I've been rubbing the edges of mine damn near constantly since I put it on and see no lifting yet. I also don't notice any tapping when I touch the screen. It does have those little dots to help with glare or whatever, but this isn't the first glass I've had with those.
Now with all that said......this is my first curved screen phone and thus my first curved screen TGSP. I've read all the posts here about how it sucks for curved screen phones. In this short time honestly I can't tell you that I notice a different between this one and the Zagg glass that I had on my Nexus 6P or the Spigen glass that my wife has on her iPhone 6s. Now granted that might change, but I think as of right now it is decent and will protect my screen from scratches. Now the fact that it doesn't have adhesive across the device leads me to believe that the impact protection of this TGSP versus a flat one that is adhered across the whole screen is not as good.....but I don't drop my phone much.
I also got the crashguard bumper from them and it is OK. It feels a little loosey goosey even for a bumper but I think I can live with it. The only real issue that I see with it is the button over the bixby button won't actually touch/actuate the bixby button itself. The power and volume rocker work fine even if they are tighter than ****'s hat band. The cutouts for the mics, speaker, USC-C port, and headphone jack are spot on accurate.

Unfortunately it appears that either that person did lie to you or they were ignorant to the way the thing was really designed.
Now that you mention it I looked again and I do see a tiny spot of rainbow effect. It is small so I wouldn't really care, but the problem is it is directly in the circle for my left eye when the iris scan pops up....kind of annoying.
I don't have another camera handy to take a pic at the moment....when I get home from work I'll try to see what kind of pics I can get of the edges with my wife's ip6s. So stand by for a few hours on those

Thank you for your detailed update..
Honestly i wasn't expecting them to reach the level of full adhesive, for one simple scientific reason, curved screens are not identical, there is always a difference in the curving margin that is acceptable from manufacturing quickly prespictive (i remember reading an article about that), and the adhesive should be really thick (relatively) to avoid that margin which will reflect into bluring the screen and lowering the clarity to a very noticeable level..
Given all that, my hopes were just for them to make something that is more decent than what's in the market, and from ur description, i can say "MAYBE".. I will have to wait and see when i get mine, coz i literally tried everything there, except for the siphhire semi-film/glass by zagg, and the genuine Samsung thick plastic protector - waiting for those to arrive, They both are a middle way solution, nor a film neither a glass, just a thick plastic protector..
