Hey guys,
my htc has stopped working completely and ive looked over google and most of them tell how to hard reset but i cant do this as when i get onto the screen the volume buttons which control the menu don't work and i cant do anything. Is there any way round this at all and can anyone help me

You need to define broken.
Without knowing how your wildfire got into this state we cannot help fully.
If you cannot elaborate I recommend flashing an ruu. Please search the forum for a guide.

I had the same trouble when I was attempting to downgrade my bootloader from 0.93.1 to 0.80 so I could root my desire. The above thread helped me get my screen working again. My experience is on page 12, I had to use the FroYo HTC update in order to get my screen working again. Ensure you get an SLCD enable RUU otherwise you will have the same problem.

Well I've recently ordered the HTC One X and so i'm looking to sell my current HTC Desire Z but I'd like to reflash to the original gingerbread stock ROM but I have no idea where I can find this from?
The only other ones I've seen are the T-Mobile Version but that is American so does anybody know where I can download the original ROM from?

htc desire z crashed during ota update - help please
hi, my desire z crashed during a upgrade 2 days ago and not its stuck on the h&c green logo page. I've read a little and i can get to the S-On page and get to the boot loader etc (factory restore does nothing).
am i right thinking if i get the uk rom i can place it on the sd card, and then turn the phone back on by holding down Volume Down and Power until the bootloader screen comes up. It should then automatically find the rom file and ask you if i want to update the phone, select yes and wait for it to finish updating and Click reboot??
Please any help would be appreciated and the rom link you have is saying its full so could you please email it to me?

Right I am kinda at my wits end, I am trying to put my wifes Desire back to stock. I have tried installing the IMG file from the boot loader, I have tried using android flasher, and I have tried using the RUU programs. And I either get one of two responses, either The phone starts up with the usuall sounds but its a black screen the phone seems to have started up as the USB light comes on and when you press the screen on button the buttons at the bottom of the phone light up. OR I get stuck in a bootloop on the white HTC screen. where am I going wrong all I need is the desire back to some form of stock.
when I go into the bootloader it shows
BRAVO PVT3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
RADIO-5.11.01.27
I do have a goldcard installed in the phone.
Recovery, wipe/factory reset, wipe eveything and flash stock rom. Im sure you will be able to download stock rom from xda.

Thank you for pointing it out, I was just trying to get help putting this phone back to standard and added as much information so I could get quick assistance. Apart from to point out a mistake on my part do you have anything to add to this thread? such as a solution??
All sorted, HBoot downgraded, Stock RUU installed but turning it into a PB99IMG file, happy day. Thanks JMCCLUE for your suggestions.

can some one guide me to flash it with a new rom ?
i try to find some software to flash it but i was not able to find it

you need to root it first

Reinstall stock rom
Hi everybody!
I'm not sure if I had selected right place to publish my question, but... I hope so
I have some problems with my HTC Wildfire (A3333) and I want to reinstall stock ROM : android froyo 2.2.1.
I have little (better to say no) experience with installing /reinstalling android software, so I don't know what to do. I tried to use some manuals online, but that didn't bring any success to me :-/
I hope somebody will mention my post, so please would you be so kind and tell me what to do?

Hello.. the first thing you have to do that check your security is On or Of If your security is of so you able to flash stock back if your security is on so you have to unlock the bootloader after that you have to find the right model ruu file for htc to restore it.... and that's all :good:
