I have a problem with android:
Everytime when I start the camera on android it says that I have to insert an SD Card before using it. I tested many different android builds, but still the same error.
Is there any solution?

I opened camera, and I can take just one foto, if i want to do one more its shows :
"please insert and sd card before using camera" The thing is, that sdcard is there, its original(came with phone).
I took a few photos in the morning, everything ok, i didnt do anything with phone all day, except for writing sms. And now in the evening it started to show this error, what happened? Apps which are on phone works good, and i can listen to music(music is in SD card) too. So everything works, except camera. Why ?
I dont want and dont have time to do format/factory reset :/ . What are your suggestions ?
have you tried another micro sd card ? have you tried it on another device eg a camera ? ( by the looks of your problem it may be your sd card )
1.my suggestion would be for you to copy all contents of your sd to your pc then format the sd card and transfer contents of sd back to to your sd .
2. under settings on your desire unmount and remount your sd card
a phone reset is not needed
Just tried friends SDcard. With he's card camera is working good. So now i have to format my card ?
FIXED WITHOUT FORMATING !
I putted my SD card to friends phone and then back to mines. Now everything is working as it should be.

I've got a problem after flashing CyanogenMod on my HTC Desire. It all works perfectly, accept for an error that occured, that my SD card is damaged. Frankly in recovery mode there is no problem, also in Explorer on my PC I can see the SD card without a problem.
Also I tried formatting the SD card in a card reader via my computer to FAT32. Again without succes...
I also tried using a different SD card (2gb instead of 8gb),which works perfectly too.
Has anyone any idea on what the cause of the problem is and what to do?

Where and when does the error occur?
i've got the same problem too
i've installed batdroid rom
one of my SD card is not working, but when i put on my PC it works normally,
i tried to format it on PC, it's the same problem
and i tried to format with my phone and bang.!! my SD card is absolutely damaged haha :laugh:
yesterday i flashed cyanogenmod 12.1 on my SM-T311. The flashing is complated and worked. but when i want to open camera it said "insert an SD card Before using camera". i'm already insert an 16gb sd card and also inserted another SD card but still it said that. any solution please?
Hello. I've bought a 64gb sandisk micro sd card for my M9.
In twrp the sd card 8s working perfect. I've Flash the Rom files from sd card. But when i'm boot uo android System (also i did completly clean install the Roms /wipe system+data+Cache etc) android said the sd card is damaged i must format it... But after he Shows that it damages 2 seconds later the message goes away and Show again. When i tap it nothing happens.
I've check the sd card via windows chkdsk /f but all is fine without errors
I've unlockd the BOOTLOADER and flashed crdroid / Viper / ICE. All Roms had the same issue.
Any idea? I've tryd 3 roms on all roms the same issue.... On twrp the sd card works great -. -
What format is the sdcard partition?. Use fat32 but you must format them on a pc with third party software as Windows partitioning tool is 'broken'.
I have a SanDisk 128gb so I know yours should work.

When I put the same sd card in my backup phone xperia z2 everything work fine.
I have tried other cards 8gb, 16gb, 32gb same problem with android after the latest update.
If I format the card, everything seems ok until I try to use the files on the card.
Example copy some photos to the sd card (copied ok)
Enter album to see pictures on sd card it corupts the files.
What to do?

Got lineage 17.1 android 10. Memory card after format is not usable. The phone cannot save to it. No error though for example for camera app set to store to ext mem.card. If that would not be all enough. Memory card will mess second SIM and can not connect to provider network. It seems that something keeps crashing (keeps trying to connect but no avail). Took off memory card and now been able to use two SIM cards for months.. A definite deal breaker.
