this is in the same boat as RoyalMint... MT4G doesnt have the source for 2.3.x sense based kernel... i dont think this will happen..

Well Rafyvitto has a version of sense 3.0 booting up and working with minor issues, so wouldnt that mean he has a kernel capable of maybe being supported with a port of this?

Just ported this. It was my first time porting a ROM, but the ROM kitchen simplified the crap out of everything. Just gotta do small tweaks.

So far, so good. I'm doing some extensive testing before I release it, but so far it's good. But I'm sure there's something in there that will trip up.

I would really consider this necro'ing but I was looking around on the Resource bible, stumbled across this thread doing so and was wondering how this was progressing?
Just getting off work looking at my girls evo which i just freshly put the VirusRom GingerSense Rev on there and wondering if this could get on MY mytouch. Your the man, hope everything goes well with your port. Cant wait.
Can't wait to see this Rom in action. I hope the battery life is excellent with this version of sense 3.0

lol, thats cool having come over from the mytouch 4g forums to the g2 (great phone, but never used the ffc and missed a physical keyboard too much, so i swapped for a g2), its nice to see some of the same awesome work.

its sense 2.1, based on froyo, and there no quick menu on the pull down bar.

yes you can overclock, to 1.5ghz.

This is the source code for the Nitro (p930). The 160mb file unzipped contains: P930_Gingerbread.zip, P930_Kernel.tar.gz, and a readme. Get it here from LG!
Cant wait to see the kernels popping up, should be a good time.

I have never cooked a rom before, but I'm pretty computer savvy, 2nd year bachelors of computer systems engineering. Help me out dudes! I want to try to put ICS on the phone.
I'd be willing to help contribute to a ROM. I want something AOSP.. LG ui is atrocious. If someone teaches me how ill dev the crap outta this thing.

Problem is learning is tough unless ur willing to spend some serious bucks on books
I can build a basic rom and debloat and theme.... Im trying to learn to do.more but takes time and trial and error this device is great i wish u guys the best of luck unfortunately i have a sgs2 and im quite happy with it...

Is there a possibility that devs... just do this to speed up the process of releasing ICS on INC2? ICS+ HTC Sense....i Don't know anything about dev works... but if we put some SENSE apk's and replace or incorporate some ICS apk's that are impossible to transfer to our INC2 then we will have a good working Hybrid ROM ....lol,. Maybe I'm just too farfetched .

Though it is theoretically possible to merge AOSP and Sense frameworks, doing so for ICS is a touch out of the league for our phone just yet. It's really hard to get the two to play nicely together.

corcor67 tried modding a sense kernel for me to try and boot ics sense, but it was a no-go
we *might* get lucky and get an ics update sometime after the inc s/desire s/dhd which are scheduled....but idk.....im hopeful
sense apks will in all likelyhood not work with aosp w/o heavy modifications to aosp frameworks (and no one wants to do that)
whereas aosp apks can be pulled into sense ics (but we dont have it so its non starter)

there is no released inc 2 ics sense rom, cuz it wouldnt boot so whats the point?
and no the aosp .35 kernels dont work with booting sense
corcor tried adapting the changes but it was a no go so far

The problem is radios and kernels are very device specific.

there are a lot of differences in the changes that need to be made between the sense kernels and aosp ones to boot ics (afaik)

potentially yes, i talked to cjward from virtuous and he said they would try to at some point for vivow but they dont have the device and are still working ics sense stuff out for phones they do have

Jelly Bean..4.1.2 to be specific. Runs well for this limited device. Sense is bloated garbageware imo..wont use it. 4.2 Jelly Bean is not far behind sense as far as being resource hungry. Once you install a few apps,it turns into crap like sense. So for me its 4.1.2 or best case scenario a working cm9 ics or lower. Which we do not have that is bug free that is.
CM9 for me.Though it is buggy, i find the audio more clear and less distorted, but the graphic glitches in kangbang are just killing it.If I had to go for JB slimbean it is.
I had good experience using Sense (with the latest update!): the battery lasts longer than with CM10.1, the sound of Beats Audio with my Philips Headphone is very good and the User Interface is well-thought.
But the Interface has more lags than 4.1.2, and Google Now will never work on it.
So both Systems has pros and cons.

Do you think it'd be possible to fix the bugs in cm9? Cuz I would LOVE to have a fully working cm9 it would be amazing!! I am willing to help in any way possible, keeping in mind that I'm in school and busy a lot... oh and I've tried building cm9 based on the tutorial simon put up but ended up with WAY more bugs than the one that's released even has, so idk where to go from there...
any ideas?

might be possible to take what is already available and just fix the issues it has. we can try. anyone got a download link? ill give it a go. i pretty good at cobbling crap together from sources thats not even one v and slapping it together to work on this beast!!! lol
