Gameloft games - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

I had a Samsung Galaxy Tab which I downloaded a few Gameloft games for it as part of the UK promotion.
Is it possible to install them on the GS2

no, you have to buy them again, at least im speaking of legal methods

I'd probably give Gameloft an email. It seems a bit of a knobbish thing if they won't let you download them again.
Dang, I hate all this not-being-on-the-market crap. nVida and Tegra is annoying me most because I know the SGS2 could handle those games fine.

I wondered this very same question.
I too have a Galaxy Tab and I too, want to re-download my games. However, it seems impossible.
If anyone else has had joy with Gameloft support, please do share your info.

Im in france now, and if you download them from your mobile, gameloft remembers your downloads for 90 days. I just checked for you and I can see the three games I bought under my downloads. I also tried downloading them again, and it worked with no problem. I downloaded all three games (eternal legends, starfront and dungeon hunter 2) from my SGS and installed them on my SGS2, and they all start, but non of them work -_- But this must be a because its the SGS version and it simply doesnt work with the hardware of the SGS2
Its annoying I agree, but I guess we have to wait a little for gameloft to make the games work on the SGS2, and perhaps than we can redownload them on the new device. (or use google) Since I dont feel like paying twice for one game.

Assassin's Creed Question

Hi folks,
Anyone else been playing Gameloft's Assassin's Creed? I'm stuck in the game and I wonder if I could get some help? How the heck can I make the jump in the attached screen shot? I can't get passed this, I just plummet to my death all the time Is there another path? Is there a move I'm not aware of?
Cheers
Eehm... I played that game on ipod touch before I got my desire.. Was stuck in the very same place.. Just jump the way the arrow tells you, it is somewhat hard to time, but it is as far as I am aware, the only way.
Thanks, but I must have done that jump 20 times now and I just get smashed Seems like a glitch in the game design to me. I'll keep trying, though. Should I run and then jump? Or just walk to the edge and jump?
It's because the game doesn't have multitouch like the iPhone version. So you cant hold run and press jump.
Uninstall it.

It's not a free game, so I'd rather not uninstall it. And there is indeed multi-touch support, since I can run and do various sorts of jumps at the same time. I wonder if the team behind the Android version of the game actually have tried to do that damn jump themselves...

Gameloft demos

http://www.gameloft.com/android/
Anyone actually managed to download one yet...
I keep trying with Dungeon hunter it installs then you open it and it tells you to download more and then it just sits for ages doing nothing, sometimes the download bar gets to about 20%, sometimes not at all...
What am I doing wrong
Downloaded Modern Combat last night - told me it was transferring 108mb (wow) over wifi, so understandably it did take a while. Seemed like it had stalled a few times, but just stick with it.
tried it five times since 6am this morning, I know I am an early type...
Now its been sat for an hour doing nothing, is this correct
I played Dungeon Hunter, Modern Combat, Hero of Sparta, Assasins Creed...there are incredibile!!!
It is an amazing 3d experience.
I trully recomend Dungeon Hunter and Assasins Creed
I bought NOVA. Very nice Shooter Game. Great graphics. Has about 75MB when downloading the content. But it´s worth!! And the Best is: i´ve got it from Gameloft only for 3 € instead for 5 €, but it was advertised for 5.
Would be great to see some demos to download, but i think gameloft never made any demo.
Edit: Now i went to Gamelofts site again, and now they really have Demos from the games there. Nice. Will test some others.
glad everyone else can download them...must be my grap galaxy
The games work perfect on my Galaxy S.
thuduk give me Pm with your Yahoo messenger id and i will semd you link to get the games for free
I really don't want to steal there games, all piracy in this situation will do is, make gameloft not develop games for us android users, this I think is why a lot of game developers don't bother with android, if they can't make anything on them, why bother.
Going to soft reset and try again, perhaps with another game.

Stealing is not good, indeed but...
I buy more from Gameloft site and i tell you...the support was awful...i didnt get any refunds for all the games that i bought and didnt work..i dont know why they act like these with their clients.
So...if we can find the gamez free on the web, why bogther paying for a game that doesnt work ?
Cheers.

So you mean if i buy a new car and i hit a wall with it, i can go on the street and look for a similar car and "steal" it? Because if they ar free on the road....
Sorry but you cannot think this way. All the Gameloft games work very well.
The problem is just that it´s difficult to download them. Maybe it´s a problem of the Servers?!
I try to download a demo too right now over W-Lan and it has stopped since 4 Minutes to download. But this is no reason to share there games here. I´ve bought Nova yesterday and i hadn´t any problem to download and install it. Works very nice!
So if theres a problem with the downloading of demos they soon will notice it and i guess they will fix it.
No...u dont need to steal the care because the car is faulty by your mistake.
It is not my fault that i tried 5-6 times to download game and didnt work. How come problems with servers ? How come they not have problems with servers when they take your money ?
Anyway...we have different point of views...i dont like to support pirateria but ...sometimes u have to work with it.
Besides, i didt share anything here
Just this minute managed to download the demo of Dungeon Hunter, taken me all morning.
Assasins creed took only a few minutes, strange, must be server problems...
Testing them now, wow these amazing...love Dungeon Hunter just like Diablo, gosh didn't realise the Galaxy S was this good

No, you literally get the game working on only a quarter of the screen, the rest of the screen is black, and the controls are all out of whack!

I like how you want devs to work on things for this device, but you openly say that you STEAL apps. Why would anyone want to develop anything that you might use, they know they'll get it stolen.

In his defense, there is so much inconsistency in apps for android that sometimes you kinda do this in order not to spend money on a game and not have it work, I would gladly pay three times what they are charging if I was certain they would work. Ipad definitely has it beat in that department.
How the hell do you get these to work on the A101. I've tried the Galaxy Tab versions, the HD versions, etc. I can't get any to work.

How wants to follow?

GTA III for our T989!

I was able to buy and install GTA III but I receive the following error when attempting to download the additional files.
"Data download authorization error. is the time on your device set correctly?"
Am I the only one seeing this?
Downloaded and installed fine for me. I have been playing it all morning... many many memories
GTA III for our phone!
Edit: After buying it on the web store, I can't install it to my device. Seems the web market messed up on compatibility.
Rockstar said at 1st it would only work on tegra devices. I checked the market today and there's a version for our phones now as well.
GTAIII SGS2
I was a bit disappointed that we weren't getting it as I beat this game on the pc years ago. Now I can replay it on a portable thanks to rockstar games.. If you haven't played this game before, I would recommend you try it. It's what made gta what it is today.
Now if we can only get some gta2 or the london missions.
nice find
but not a big fan of GTA games myself
i used to like them way back then, but now i find them boring...
but it's still fun for those stressful days, when you simply want to blow some steam

Nope, Im getting this error as well, already checked the time, I'm using the network settings...
correction...I think it has to do wit the network I was on. I switched over to try a partial d/l tethered to my phone and it started right up. try d/ling over a different connection
Sorry for my newbiness but when you go to that link, how come it shows 3 different versions?
GTA III
GTA 3
and Grand Theft Auto 3?
And they all have different # of reviews?
i was pondering the same thing as well
probably for different phones?

I'm getting this same error message on my transformer. I've tried dowloading on two different wifi connections with "use network time" on and off to no avail. My time is correct, yet it keeps giving me that message.
Havent played any gta for a long time. This is awesome!
Plays great and controls are good. Great framerate but the resolution is a little low, although understandable as theres a lot of different hardware for android.

maybe your date is wrong?
im getting error bcoz my date and time were wrong
but when i corrected it, the error is gone and download started
Use network settings
Hey, I had the same problem on my Acer Iconia 10 inch tablet. At first I thought it's the crappy wi-fi, then I just set date and time to network settings in the tablet's menu and - even though the time was wrong by 7 hours, it worked. the problem is that many wi-fi networks don't have the proper time set on them (the one I used is Time Warner in NY), so the downloader gets some error. you can set your time back after you're done downloading.

[Q] probably the stupidest question ever....

a guy at sprint told me that the note 2 can play pc games... can anyone verify this? Or is he just trying to sell me a phone?
I don't think so... instruction set is different plus then you have the hardware that the game is expecting... maybe console games via emulator.

not possible. Different OSs, and thus different engines. If ported or some kind of streaming to the phone from the PC, maybe.
Of course he was trying to sell you a phone. Unfortunately, the sales person was just an idiot. I would assume that person falls for every chain letter, email, and post.
To be nice, the person may have met PC like games. Some games are getting towards the mark of console and PC games
I hate when salesman talk crap. They have no clue what they talking about.
about 2 years ago they said to me that symbian phones are not classified as smartphones.(in 2010 symbian was still big) So he tried to sell me samsung with BADA instead . lol.

DOSBOX Turbo, emulator . allows you to play pc games.

well long story short though.... I LOVE THIS PHONE!! . Yes the guy lied his @ss off but only having this phone for less than a day and i love it more than my LTE ive had for the last 3 months. Its also going to bring a lot of "opportunities" and "special" things for you all once I get everything setup!
Maybe he was talking about OnLive?

But this would work with most android phones.
you can also vnc to a windows machine. it would be terrible but it would work

Well, OnLive is more dependant on which Android version you have and the bandwidth you're getting. Android 2.2 or later for games that have touch inputs added. Android 3.1 or 4+ to use a controller for games that have gamepad support.
I've been using OnLive about a month after it went public. I have used it on Android with their universal controller. I tried it on the GN2. Worked good when I had the bandwidth, which was over my WiFI. The LFE around here has horrible upload speeds, and I think it caused it to crap out.
On a side note, the games on OnLive are the PC versions.
