nice, mine is just a twisted coat hanger and rubber bands, lol... for real.

here is my setup although I don't keep my 70 in my car anymore. Was getting to complicated tethering to my phone every time I got in and out plus I never wanted to leave it in the car. Too much eye candy for some crackhead to smash the window for it. The window costs more than the 70

Velcro + Archos 70 = Android Dashboard
Here's my setup:
Thanks to Velcro for making this possible.
Bonus: my tC's center piece is perfectly 7" lol. (behind it is the Radio/CD player)

Velcro is a really good idea. And the final result is very nice

Very cool ideas
If you buy a obd2 reader you can see the speed and the acceleration in the archos and it that's be very cool.

No pics right now but have been using the Rocketfish GPS windshield mount. Working great for me.

I was wondering if anyone has found an actual mount? I have a arkon mount in my dash cubby on my Subaru Legacy for my GPS. Thought it'd be nice to be able to mount my Archos there when I'm not using the GPS.

I just made one my self with some rubber =) Works pretty well =) but I like your more =).

If a guy called Droidslave tells he made his with rubber.....

I have one that I used for my iPhone, the Captivate fits in it fine. I'm waiting on a vent holder and windshield attachment combo from Amazon (backordered).

I got that one today. Looks to be very good so far. It is still in stock and not on backorder. Here are a couple of pictures of it in the windshield mounting. I haven't driven around with it, or tried mouting it off the dash or the vents, but it feels like it's going to hold on to the phone quite well the way I have it right now.

Thanks for the pictures Rajendra82. I got an email from Amazon that said my order came in sooner than their estimate of 3 weeks (I think they just do that to cover their asses on items they don't have immediate stock on). Should be getting it tomorrow!

$1.99 Hoodrat Tablet Car Mount (Version 2)

So, this is a follow up of my post a couple days ago. I decided to clean up the design a bit, and get rid of the gawdy plastic hooks.
I took a trip to Lowes and found an alternative solution. I found a set of four "Hidden Mirror Hangers" for 1.99 that included four hooks and screws.

I wanted to make this design where you slide it down into it.
I measured out the design using my tab and went to work...
Overall the design is alot cleaner then the plastic hooks I was using, extremely secure and easier to place/remove the tablet.
** NOTE ** I have a ZAGG InvisibleSHEILD and a Chinese bumper-style case from e-bay on it, this protects it from scratches when sliding the tab in/out. Use caution, I am not responsible for you marking your tablet up.
That's pretty awesome man - good job!
Very clever idea, well done. I'd be tempted to put a bit of black heatshrink on those hooks just in case. Or at least wrap some insulation tape around them, it'll look even classier in black.
nice job! is that over 200K miles i see on your car?
205498. Nice.
Thank you for the tip I think I will try this soon. Although I think I will use tape or a glue to avoid drilling a hole into the console.
Sweet, I like it but my wife would freak that I made holes in the dash for my tab. So she work just fine for a holder.

The question isn't is that 200k miles... its that how many Grand Cherokee transmission have given up the ghost over that 200k miles? Loved my GC but its one of the few vehicles I have that gave up transmissions almost on a mileage schedule.
Nice el cheapo mount!
This looks nice but I don't think I'm up for puttin holes in my car.

Galaxy S2 Sync Stand Dock station

I bought this dock for galaxy S2 and I'm very happy with it.
The advantage is you can use with galaxy S2 cover.
You can put it horizontally and vertically (horizontally no connection)
it is not cheap

Thanks a lot for posting this! Finally a dock that I can use my phone horizontally with! Been searching all over high and low for a dock that lets me use my phone horizontally so I can dock it on the text, use a keyboard and then use Splashtop to control my computer at home. I'll be able to do some serious tasking now! Holding my phone is such a downer when I can control it with a mouse and keyboard. Might as well be a tablet now
One question guys...do you think it can charge while in horizontal mode?
From what i get in the pictures, the charging is only in vertical mode. Anyone knows more info on that?
thanx!
Hey this looks awesome! does it work with the extended battery kit from samsung?
Looking good..
Product removed in e-bey link..can you give model no.

Just search for "Sinjimoru Sync Stand for Samsung Galaxy" They're on Amazon and Ebay.
Lee
thank you friend
Do you reckon it'll work with an extended 3500mAh battery? It builds about 7-8mm extra on the back.

Something interesting I discovered last week... Dash mount cradle

If you have an OtterBox Commuter on your One, and a spare dash mount cradle for a Garmin Nuvi GPS(mine was a 205, I think...), your phone will snap into the cradle like it was MADE FOR IT.
I discovered this because my Nuvi died, and after I took it out of the cradle, I was thinking to myself, "this doesn't look that much wider than my One...". And sho-nuff, the One snapped right in.
Perfect for using it for Google Maps, but also just about anything else hands-free, and a perfect dash-cam if I ever get pulled over by some crooked cop! Enjoy!
can you order the mount separate? I've been looking for a dash cam mount, but most of the universal ones are too bulky and I feel like they'd "un-class" the interior of my car haha.

Here you go dude, found it on Amazon in 15 seconds!

I'm telling you guys, it's fantastic. I'm getting a UAG case in a couple days, anxious to see if it fits that, as well.
This mount below also works great with cases. I have a commuter case and a dodge ram so dash is long and windshield to far away to use short mount like OP listed.

Ya its $20 bucks, could prolly find cheaper elsewhere but it is very sturdy, not a cheesy cheapy!!
I just tried it out and you're right! It fits perfectly! Thanks for the tip!

Tripod/tripod mount

I've been on a bit of a quest for a portable tripod/tripod mount, after seeing this thread on the chinese oppo forum:
http://bbs.myoppo.com/thread-1884872-1-1.html
The problem with many mounts is they can't handle a phone as wide as ours ( ~ 83mm / 3.27 inches).
The photos in that thread imply it is a Fotopro sj-80 or sj-70 mount, although I have no idea where to get one.
The istabilizer mount XL/Mount Flex looks extremely similar:
http://www.istabilizer.com/store/flex.html
That would be great!
Especially considering the unique O-Click remote (which works great by the way), the mount combined with the camera swivelability would make for a nifty photo taking device!
cases for OPPO N1
Found some cases for OPPO N1 at ebay...

Thanks !!!

I have been thinking about this sort of thing, so I just found today.
i.Trek Super Mount Metal Smartphone Tripod Adapter
In case that there is nothing about the hands, it would be good for us to use it without getting worried about the sizes.
Here it is :
I bought the I trek.its interesting but im not particularly comfortable with using it.you worry about overtightening it and cracking the screen
Sent from my N1 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes... I think like that so. But I ordered both Mount XL from Amazon (cheaper) and this i.trek from ebay.
I'm ok with IDW holder as in the pictures here.
