Just noticed that there is no music widget for the stock player!
Anyone know where to get it, market doesn't have anything?!

MIUI Music Player works nicely, and has a widget - love the lyrics downloading on that.
Ended up using music mod from the market, modified stock player with widgets . Cheers for suggestions!

Thanks for the suggestion! juz found a themed one here at xda and its no doubt one of the best looking ones around.
Btw does anyone come across a decent 2x2 music widget apart from playerpro?
Give poweramp a shot, it has lot of widget options plus a lockscreen widget. The lockscreen widget basically used the player as your lock screen wallpaper letting you change songs without turning off the lockscreen.

Saw other people recommended that one as well. Will try out the free version thanks=)
There's also Music Timer, which gives you a widget which works with the stock app...
Since the Samsung music player can also read folders, it's real shame they didn't make a little widget to go with it..
*edit: for those interested, I just found you can create a basic widget for stock music player with widgetsoid..

Cm7 has both those features if you can live with what's not working.

If you use widgetlocker, you could just put your music player widgets on your lock screen.
I've been slowly working on getting the miui music to work on the aosp lock screen. The problem is I'm better at porting code then writting code.
On eclair I managed to get the fascinate player to show up in the aosp lock screen but that was it. None of the buttons actually did anything

If nothing else, Winamp has a setting to enable this. Yes it's a third party app, but it's my personal favorite and works seamlessly with my desktop Winamp.

You should try and do that with the stock music player. Itd be cool to have the option to change the song on the lock screen and in the notification pulldown.

Is there any way that I can get the Winamp controls on my lock screen, just like for the native music player for SGS2. Either that, or is there a widget option for the stock music player. I'm running the KF3 ROM.

One minor point is that this seems to interfere with the program "unlock with wifi" which I use all the time. The widget seems to make unlock with wifi not work for some reason.

I use google music beta even though there's alot of better options out there. I used google music beta because my evo 4g didn't have much space. I might just stop being lazy and store some music on my new phone and use a better music player. Doubletwist or maybe even PowerAmp anyone?

It is bizarre sammy removes the widget. You can perform all the widget functions in the notification bar though.

I noticed that there is no widget for the stock touchwiz music player on the Korean SGSII M250K. Is there a way to apply a widget for tw music player? Perhaps from older versions?

There isn't one on the UK one either mate, I suggest using a different player, eg PlayerPro or Poweramp
Download Pure music widget, acts as the widget for the stock music player
I used to have the same problem. Now I use PlayerPro. Works very well.
I used Widgetsoid and it works fine.. plus the widget can be customized.
Pure music, widgetsoid or you can try phantom music control. That's all I know.

Just search for "Samsung Galaxy S Music widget" in the market. there is also a FM radio widget.

Apollo
I use mainly AOKP ROMs which often come with the Apollo player. Nice little widget.
I use Google Play Music and its black widget.
Apollo is a good player but I don't like the white widget.
The Apollo widget is nice... Too bad it's white tho

well , i have used google music widget,but i dont like as it crashes some times.today i will give try to salmanrom v4 version s3 .it has s3 music player ,will see there is scrollable song music widget or not.

Search for DarkIce Theme on play store and read info.Theres a link to a site with a flashable inverted apps package wich contains a theme for apollo.
