New Bravo gingerbread rom
http://911sniper.blog.163.com/blog/static/14290088120114901833662/

I saw this rom a while ago on the Desire forum.
Is this rom ok to flash ( i would presume not)?
I would also assume that it would need to be rooted, busybox, smartass etc.

I think mike, the maker of Android Revolution HD, had something on his thread regarding a custom kernel in the making. But I believe that will be for his rom ARHD 4.0.
Im also running coredroid v5.1 and im using the newest radio, 26.08.04.07_m3 and it seems to be pretty good. I think you should give it a shot, and you can always switch back if it does not work out.
We need the source files for the kernel from HTC before any custom kernels can be made. The source files will be released some time after the official gingerbread updates have been released.
Edit: You might also want to try the search function before you start a new thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025335

Okej I will try it out & see how it works out..
But is there anyone who knowes where it comes from???
In the radio thread it say that it´s not fully tested and so on...
have U hade any problems with it??
Until HTC release their official Gingerbread OTA, i do not think there will be any custom'ed GB Kernels yet but now we just have a "prototype" one. As usual.. we have to wait. Im not sure about myself too.. would prefer to receive some comments too. =)

[PATCH]Native Gingerbread WiFi Calling Module from Leaked ROM [May-08]

NOTE: This PATCH is compatible ONLY with MY GB Kernel version 2.6.2 and beyond. Older Kernel versions are NOT Compatible!
Why bother with this patch? For me, the old Froyo WiFi Calling was very finicky and often times did not work due to router configurations. With Native GB Wifi Calling, I was able to have WiFi calling as long as I have a stable WiFi signal regardless of router configurations. Besides this is Native GB app, so it matches up nicely with GB ROMs, such as CM7, AOSP, GB MIUI, etc..
The Patch ==> Native GB WiFi Calling Patch <==
[ Installation Procedure ]
Before installation, make sure the following lines exist in the build.prop located @ /system folder (these lines should be there in all CM7 or AOSP derivatives)
rild.libpath=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
1. Reboot to recovery
2. Install zip
3. Reboot, DONE!
[ Patch Details ]
This patch included the latest RIL (Radio Interface Layer) libraries from the Leaked GB ROM for Glacier.
Currently, all CM7 derivatives are using FROYO version of WiFi Calling module, since the real GB leak, a Native GB version is now available. I had the kineto_gan.c source code from HTC Saga a month ago, but we didn't have the matching libraries and GB WiFi Calling App until recently with the Leak.
The patch included Native Gingerbread ril libraries and Native Gingerbread WiFi Calling app. The patch will DELETE the FROYO WiFi calling App and REPLACE Froyo version of ril libraries to Native Gingerbread versions.

Nice network name. Its awfully similar to mine
Wait so if we're on CM 7.0.3 we need to flash this for the updated app right? Then flash the kernel?

This is supported by my own kernel with kineto_gan.ko modules compiled from HTC Saga's source code... I am not aware of your version... Did you compile the kineto_gan.c file from source?

You should flash the kernel first, then the patch 2nd.

So faux is this only to be used with your kernels or does it also work with the cm stock kernel from from the latest nightlies? Didn't see much reference to other kernels in your op.

It DOES NOT work with any other kernel because they don't have kineto_gan.ko which is needed by GB wifi calling module.
kernel modules such as kinteo_gan.ko MUST follow the exact version of the kernel. So ONLY my GB kernel version 2.6.2 and beyond will work.
Got it. Looks like ill flash your kernel then
you the man, on my next pay day going to donate a little something something to ya.

LOL, OK... Good.... I didn't expect that... The CM7 hacked code is quite different from official HTC code, things like MTU and such are all different. Surprised it worked...
Just be aware may not be 100% compatible or optimized. The official HTC code is designed to work with it

Well I still wouldn't suggest doing it as I did it by mistake, just saying that it did work. I suspect it would be unstable. I did not use it for very long so I can not comment on the stability at all. I ended up updating to your latest kernel as you suggested.
rild.libpath=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilwitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
Shouldn't the 2nd line read
rilswitch.
Faux, this is not working with the Canadian Pure Sense rom. I applied you Kerner first and then the patch, and nothing. Any idea why?
EDIT: BTW, not all the lines where there in the build.pro folder. How can they be added? Another patch?

No they are there, just look carefully. But its still not working for me either on the canadian pure sense rom. Maybe we have to be on one of his kernels??

okay, same here. I flashed his new kernel for the Canadian Leak and flashed the wifi calling app again and still doesn't work. Its stuck on "Enabling - Please wait while connecting to T-mobile Network"

[Q] which ROM - need 2-way recording, no ads, and 2.3.4, with HTC sense

question - which is most error free rom that has 2-way recording, ads free, and has current Gingerbread built.
sorry for asking this.. rather than searching, I do not know much, but there isn't a direct thread saying this is all one needs.
I have vodafone australia desire hd, which i updated with new system software update... i know a little bit that to flash a rom i need to downgrade first...
the question is ... all i need is the phone to be adfree and has 2-way recording... that is all i want along with whatever it is right now, with latest update from vodafone/htc.
thanks
The best rom so far with sense surely is Leedroid, its on 2.3.3 currently
I just flashed LeeDroid's latest v3.1.5 rom and 3.1.6 kernel and I must say I'm very impressed.. I previously had a HTC stock 2.3.3 GB rooted rom and there are clear differences in terms of speed and performance
MDJ's kernel (that works with pretty much all sense roms) has the 2WCR patch so if you like look of a ROM but want a different kernel, you can flash MDJ's. For a while I was using it with ARHD (for the 2WCR + higher overclock) but the new OC daemon is too good to not have
I was looking for a kernel for 2 way recording. I will try this one. Thanks

I personally tried several roms, and still experimenting new ones. 2-way call recording is vital to me. I think Coredroid and Leedroid are two good options.
Lee and MDJ are two kernels for Sense-based roms. Both of them support 2-way call recording. Now Lee kernel is 3.1.6 and MDJ's Unity is v2.
I personally chose Coredroid for its eye candy. I settle for 6.8 and then flashed with latest lee kernel 3.1.6. 7.0 is too new to me.
Since you just updated your firmware, let's pray it's not 2.37 or higher, or all you can do is just wait...

Nikez Lente & Kernel

Hello all,
First of all, sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but I cannot post in the development one, so forgive me.
I have a question for all of you:
I have installed on my HTC Desire the Nikez Lente Evervol JB ROM, which is great.
I really like it, even if there are few bugs and random FC.
I've used CM7.2 for a long time before to switch to JB.
I don't miss CM (sorry for that), but I really miss Tiamat Kernel I installed within it, which helped me overclock and underclock my processor, changing also the voltage.
With Nikez Lente JB original kernel this is not possible, I tried to install Tiamat Kernel for ICS but the phone cannot boot anymore, I'm stuck to initial black screen.
So I went back to the original Nikez Kernel.
Unfortunately this kernel seems do not allow "extreme" overclock as Tiamat does, and do not allow the user to change the voltage table.
I would really like to have these features back on my JB installation, is it possible?
Is there a kernel which can work with Nikez JB ROM and can give me back the features I'd like to have?
Moreover: can you explain why the Tiamat ICS kernel (for Bravo GSM) does not work with both Nikez Lente ROMs (ICS & JB)? Am I making something wrong?
My phone is a PVT-1 Amoled, S-OFFed qith Revolutionary, the HBOOT is the Alpharev Stock one, The recovery is CWM 5.0.2.0, I have a 32Gb SD card with 1 Gb ext3 sd-ext partition.
What else can I say?
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
Giovanni
Yes it is possible.
But probably you have to wait.
Evervolv team (nikez included) are working on jb and probably when all features will be working they add some mod in kernel that will let you OC CPU.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Did you check/compare the kernel configs? One of the CM wiki pages about building the kernel describes howto access the config - or check the git repos, evervolv has the file somewhere in arch/asm, it is called bravodefconfig IIRC
Maybe a device or filesystem driver is missing

Almost, it's located in arch/arm/configs/evervolv_bravodefconfig

[Q] KitKat Kernel for PAC ROM 4.4

Hi, today I updated PAC ROM 4.3 from faust93 but then after error 7 on update process I realized it was upgraded to 4.4 then I installed TWRP 2.6 and it worked nice altough its alfa and lost functions.
The mainly problem is that the old kernel from faust93 doesnt work (original kernel has terrible governors expending a lot of battery) and I can see that on http://xep.8800.org/e957/ there is a lot of different versions from his kernel, does someone know if one of them is compatible with PAC ROM 4.4 ?
I would send it on the Pac Rom thread but xda restrictions don't let me do it and developer did not warn about upgrade to 4.4 so I dont know if he would answer
Thanks

check android development, the faust 93 kernel.
For Officials ROM use F93 kernel gproj 2.2
For Unofficials ROM use F93 kernel AOSP 0.5
