[stock rom][2.3.3] p1000xxjq1 p1000xxjq1 p1000xxjpz - Galaxy Tab Android Development

Here it is, JQ1, Gingerbread for the Galaxy Tab !
Here are versions both with and without bootloaders:
With bootloaders: http://www.multiupload.com/IZLCKQ3VJC <--- flash this one
Without bootloaders: http://www.multiupload.com/OT2H45PO57
The version without bootloaders doesn't boot for me and gives screen corruption. Running with bootloaders now.
Finally got boot!
Procedure (ODIN !):
- Press the thanks button and/or donate
- Download and extract the firmware zip
- Download and extract the attached gt-p1000_mr_PIT.zip
- Download and extract the attached dbdata.zip
- Flash the firmware tar as PDA, repartition enabled, use the attached PIT
- After flash immediately boot into download mode again
- Flash dbdata.tar as PDA (NO repartition)
- After flash immediately boot into recovery mode
- Wipe cache
- Wipe data / factory reset
EDIT: The bootloaders ARE signed, but NOT secured. Custom kernels and firmwares can still be flashed !
EDIT#2: CF-Root v3.2 for JQ1 / Gingerbread has arrived: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13687236&postcount=176
EDIT#3: Be sure to use Odin 1.7 attached to this post, older versions of Odin will NOT work !

Thanks, bro, if u want help in any way, just let me know

fingers crossed

Recovery is telling me it cannot format /dbdata ... hmm

are you able to flash any 2.2 firmware or is to somewhat bricked? (sorry if a bit of a stupid question)

hope to god it doesnt need the new bootloaders, or at least that they arent signed

Most likely, just as with the i9000 Gingerbread leaks/releases it will need the bootloaders.
Downloading now, thanks chainfire

how are those bootloaders looking? signed or not

Right.....
Chainfire, we supposed to flash version with or without bootloader in order to use ur files?

Hi Chainfire!
Congrats on getting it to boot! However, I'd assume this is the version with the bootloader... so, am curious, would your bootloader patch work on this as well?
Great work again as ever mate!

w/ bootloaders or w/o?
i have a totally unlocked euro tab, unbranded.

now i'll start the processor i'll inform if anything

It appears that even though the bootloaders and kernel are signed, it does allow to flash a non-signed kernel, so ...
Will have to make a CF-Root to 100% verify.
Seems no bootloader patch needed. And even if it was, this wouldn't boot with the unsigned bootloaders.

[ODIN] ICL53F (no wipe, no recovery, no bootloaders)

Here is the stripped version of ICL53F.
FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
Changelogs are not fully known yet, but I do know this is Android 4.0.2 and USB host is now working
Stripped meaning no bootloaders, no recovery (so you keep your current CWM), and no wipe (so you keep your data).
IMPORTANT: No wipe is only if your device has been previously OEM unlocked. If your device is NOT OEM unlocked, this WILL wipe your data !
It does include kernel, system and modem, and it's an ODIN tar because ... just because !
YAKJU (GSM): http://www.multiupload.com/7C78MDUQG9
MYSID (LTE): http://www.multiupload.com/3ZZ79I7057
In doubt which one you want ? ADB the following commands:
adb shell getprop ro.product.name
adb shell getprop ro.build.description
adb shell getprop ro.build.fingerprint
The full original Google images can be found here:
http://groups.google.com/group/android-building/msg/2cd2b16ed56a7e84
ODIN ?!
The (Windows) software is attached. USE THE ATTACHED VERSION. DO NOT USE AN OLDER VERSION. A lot of you will be familiar with ODIN from other Samsung devices... well, it works exactly the same on this device.
Turn off your device, turn it on again by holding volume-down and power to enter ODIN download mode.
Launch the ODIN software, press the PDA button and select the .tar file you extracted from the .zip file you downloaded.
Make sure in the ODIN program "Re-Partition", "Phone EFS Clear", and "Phone Bootloader Update" are NOT checked.
Connect the Android device with your computer and you should see a yellow box in the ODIN program. Press the "Start" button, wait a minute or so, and your device will be booted with this firmware.
Also see the attached image, which has every box you need to look at circled in red
For both GSM and LTE compatibility ? ?
Nice !
Could you please tell me how to use it with Odin (used to use Odin with SII or Ace but not with Nexus version..)
Thanks for your explanations

Hi Chain fire
First of all its nice to see you on the Nexus section. Don't know what I would have down without your fantastic rooted kernels on the SGS2.
Do you loose root and boot loader is locked again if you flash this 53F?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
OP update now with Odin & how to answers my request,
Thank you
Hey Chainfire good to see you here!
I heard that the new bootloader might solve the charging issue...can you confirm?
Also really would like to see cf-root kernels...used them alot on my sgs1 and sgs2...always the best kernels for me.
Good to see Odin is back too...its the best thing to use to flash youre phone

Any chance that I can flash it on to yakjuux and have no problems?

You will lose root. If you have CWM recovery installed you can just flash a Superuser package through recovery, as CWM is not overwritten by this flash.
This flash does not include bootloaders, and will not re-lock your bootloaders.
(It even appears ODIN will unlock your bootloader if it was locked)

Can't confirm because I don't know. I have only had the charging issue when using custom kernels, the stock kernel had no issue for me.
Not sure if I will release a CF-Root... as this device has a separate recovery partition, there is not that much need for CF-Root... It's still handy though, of course.
Should the bootloaders prove needed and/or helpful, I will release a separate bootloader package so you can flash those later.

Nobody knows.
To be fair, I don't even know which model I have. I flashed the Google provided stock image of ITL41F within an hour of getting my Nexus last week, due to soft-bricking it (yeah, that quick).
It may work, it may not.

Nice to see you here Chainfire. Thanks for this, I will flash it now as I'm looking for a stock ROM, or just stock in its own. I find custom ROM's cause too much battery drain with all the features that are adding.

Maybe the new bootloader fixes the RF interference (debounce time) on the volume buttons (that was only patched in the kernel in the last update)?
I guess someone who lives in a region that had that problem would have to check.
Here are the changes from 4.0.1 --> 4.0.2
Device features
Optimized Mobile Hotspot when used with VPN
Optimized 3G/4G data sessions for faster response times
Fixed an incorrect notification that “data was disconnected due to roaming”
WiFi now automatically reconnects when returning to a known Access Point
Improvements to special visual effects feature when using front-facing camcorder
Visual improvements to the lock screen
Email and Messaging
Fixed an issue where some email attachments would not open correctly
Apps and Widgets
DivX support has been removed and will be supported in a future upgrade
Improved audio volume in Google navigation turn-by-turn directions

[Q] Can I realy just flash to CM10.1 or do I still need to root first?

I've been reading these forums in my spare time for the last week or so but I'm still a bit confused or just overlooking something. According to the CM 10.1 thread install instructions are
Install instructions:
1. Install ClockworkMod Recovery for "I927". Sorry, CM cannot provide support for other recoveries, although they may work fine.
3. Reboot into recovery and install

and a few people in some of the guide threads have basically stated the same. Is it really this simple now or do I still need to follow the guide from a year ago or the one in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1962633 ?
So far all I have done is install CWMR Touch 6.0.1.2 Recovery and run backup in both blob and tar formats. Actually does this even work properly without rooting first?
You don't need root, but you can't quite go straight either. The current SOP is:
Flash TW-ICS, meaning UCLG9 or UCLH2 or UCLJ3, using the respective OneClick
Flash CWMR using Odin (the previous step overwrites recovery so you will have to do this again even if you flashed CWM previously)
Boot into CWM
Flash your AOSP-JB ROM of choice
Flash the correct gapps for your ROM
Format /data (aka factory reset)
Reboot into ROM and enjoy
Step 1 may or may not be necessary -- nobody's tried going from TW-GB straight to AOSP-JB yet. If you're feeling adventurous, try it and let us know how it goes.
Once you've flashed a TW-ICS once, you won't need to do it again -- at that point flashing a new TW-ICS or AOSP-JB ROM is as simple as flash-format-boot.
Thanks for the updated info, I didn't think it would be that simple.
Not sure what TW stands for since I haven't seen that abbreviation yet.
But basically for step one I can grab the UCLG9 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841502
and flash it with CWM and then follow on from step 2? Or would I be better off grabbing the newer UCLJ3 from SamMobile and using Odin?

I would get the full EXE, just to be sure. The CWM zips generally don't include bootloader or baseband and that's the important stuff.

I used the CWM flash and can confirm the no updated baseband since it still had the stock Rogers one on AT&T-ICS and in CM-10.1. Not sure about ICS but in CM-10.1 I could get voice but no data and haven't tested txt.
Going to flash back to stock with the backup I made for now while I research solutions to a few personal gripes I have with CM-10.1.
And would the UCLJ3 from SamMobile with odin or kies be as effective as the EXE version since I already have it downloaded?
Thanks for helping a total noob and to be honest this is my first Android phone.

[R&D][DUMP] Official AT&T ROM JDQ39.I337UCUAMDB

Hello Guys,
Thanks to the djrbliss and the root http://cleanimport.xda/index.php?threads/2252248/ , I dumped the system files from the AT&T version and am uploading the original files so that someone can make a Pre-Rooted , Custom Rom , Recovery , etc . Let me know if the dump is full and enough or if i need to do something more.

System partition backup : Attached is the torrent, tried uploading the system image file to a file hosting site but couldn't, hence the torrent.
The factoryfs is 2.7GB , and will upload it soon.
[size=+3]Warning:
Please[size=+5] do not DIRECTLY flash these files[/size] , as they haven't been tested and may not be fully operational.
At this point, since there are no custom recoveries or stock images available, it may not be possible to repair your device should you accidentally break it. Please be aware of this before performing any modifications to your phone.

When our devices are locked - does rooting them essentially unlock them? or is there some other step that is required? Same question for flashing a custom recovery - how or does - this effect the locked booterloader thing -
I tried doing a GOOGlE search to see if I could figure it ouit on my own and wasnt quite sure so - I thought I would ask - at the risk of looking like a dummy
thoughts?

yes it does...but if you install a custom ROM then it will have all the customizations which make the phone run faster and better than stock and other stuff which we cannot have with a stock rom.
custom recovery adds a step of protection by which you can install/backup roms and other stuff. and you can only install a custom recovery and rom if you have an unlocked bootloader.

Exactly why I am stumped atm, there's write protection on bootloader, I wonder if AT&T is the only S4 with this??? Can anyone confirm who has another S4 like i9505?
if the root method works, then you should be able to flash the recovery and custom kernel as long as the bootloader does not do signature checks (which some people have claimed to be true, will see). You will not be able to use ODIN,
but shouldn't matter.
Did it the "root" work for anyone else? I remember the kernel config allow full permissive root access, so we should be golden..

Just another reminder to those still newly getting their S4's, remember the bootloader IS STILL LOCKED and your are pretty much stuck if anything happens to your phone while Rooted :/
Best bet just wait for the bootloader unlock, if you can't wait then I guess it sucks to be you XD
I don't even think it's gonna take long for the bootloader to get unlocked and I'm also willing to bet that someone from Samsung will probably end up releasing something helpful.

Rooting this device was such a breeze! And being able to do it the day after it arrived in the mail was just awesome. Thanks for the dump. I have been freezing the bloatware with Titanium Backup, didn't want to begin stripping things until a recovery was available and I could do a backup of the stock rom. I was surprised to see that I could also freeze most of the bloat through the built in Application Manager (selecting an app then tapping Disable) even before I rooted the phone.

first the dev's need to find and unlock the bootloader, we cannot say how much long that will take because it depends on the dev's and the device, i can say about 20 days to a month and after which the recovery can be done, which will be soon if we get the bootloader unlocked , then the custom roms will come out...

[How-To][Tutorial] Downgrade Kit Kat 4.4.2 to JB 4.1.2

Hi,
I am just writing these steps to help those who want to downgrade from KK to JB due to any reason. Please use these steps at your own risk.
Some Background:
Recently I updated my Razr M to KK, it was Locked and Unrooted, but with the help of Twelroot and Motopocalypse I rooted and unlocked the BL.
Now somehow I didn't like the KK and wanted to go back to JB 4.1.2 because I was now having unlocked BL and rooted phone so it was easy but need to follow some steps to successfully downgrade to JB. So an unlocked BL and rooted with KK is must.
Prerequisite:
USB drivers for Razr M must be installed before proceeding.
Steps:
1. download the firmware file [Android 4.1.2
Blur_Version.98.30.1.XT907.Verizon.en.US] from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8
2. extract the above archive and replace the XML file with the one in attachment.
3. put the phone into fastboot mode and flash the firmware with RSD Lite (attached)
4. reboot and now you have JB 4.1.2
If you want to install root application again and also want to flash custom recovery then please follow the Post#5 [ATTACK] (thanks ATTACK)
Note : for custom recovery you will need the fastboot.exe if you don't have it then install minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.1.3_setup.exe(attached).
Put the phone in fastboot mode, copy the recovery to c:\ and execute the below command :
fastboot flash recovery [Path to recovery image]
If it help you then don't forget to press Thanks button !
Forgive my ignorance but this won't downgrade the kernel will it? I'm hoping it's possible to go from the newest OTA to the stable CM11 but I'm guessing this is new kernel JB. Either way thanks if I can't go to stable CM11 I'll stick with rooted 4.1.2.
Once you have a unlocked bootloader, you do not need to use "root programs". All you need to do is flash a custom recovery via Mfastboot / fastboot then flash SuperSU / Superuser.
In dhacker29's folder there are 2 different recoveries.
"msm8960" is for 4.1.2
"KITKAT" is for 4.4.2

The steps are tested by my 2 times, and there shouldn't be any problem. Make sure you have installed the correct drivers.
Please ensure that your bootloader is unlocked and shows BL unlocked status code 3 on BL screen.
I was also able to successfully flash back to JB with House of Moto via fast boot and full data wipe. It would not work with Universal or Keep Data, had to do full data wipe. Just another alternative :good:

Thanks You Its a Success Downgrade From 4.4 stock > CM11 > Stock rom 4.1 Thank you so much !!!
For those undergoing the downgrade process in RSD Lite and it takes forever for it to finish and the system ends up without data/signal, you need to RSD Lite flash again in order to regain signal. I believe the flashing was sluggish due to the jump from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 and the many changes that were reflashed.

We have a wiener!
Thank you so much for the guide. After a lot of trial and error (mostly error), I thought that I had bricked my lovely XT907. I finally restored KitKat by flashing the 4.4.2 firmware with the edited XML file (deleting lines with "Getvar", "var" and "oem" in them), then followed your guide to the letter and found myself with a perfectly functional phone once again. No more sticky fastboot loops or audio-related crashes for me!
Lovely guide - thanks again!

What functionality does Busybox add? The description on the Play page is woefully sparse.
Thanks!

I *DON'T see why you would need to. It would be just like restoring stock firmware via RSD Lite.

[GUIDE] [HOW-TO] Downgrade to 5.1.1 lolipop

So......first of all lets clear something out: nougat is fine. marshmallow is fine. even the first firmware that was ever released on the s6e+ was fine. But if for whatever reason you would want to downgrade to lolipop heres how:
WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO DIVE INTO INVOLVES HARDCORE BOOTLOADER MODS AND FLASHING SAMSUNG ENGINEERING FILES. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ONE (INCLUDING ME) WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR OWN PHONE.
So......downgrading to lolipop...... some ppl claimed it can be done by deleting some file in the odin .tar but that never worked for me.
If you have the sw rev check fail error upon downgrading....this is the guide for you
This will wipe all your data including internal storage (depending on how you do it)
Confirmed working on 2 g928f devices (one of em is mine) should* work on g928c but cant make any promises
disadvantages:
1. You cannot boot twrp while on the downgraded bootloader (still working on that tho)
2. You will only have system-wide root. DO NOT flash systemless or it will not boot (also rip safetynet)
3. Fingerprint is not working (still working on that)
4. You can only flash stock nougat or stock marshmallow from odin. You cannot flash lolipop tar, twrp tar,cf auto root tar or anything else
Instructions:
1. Wipe /data /system and /cache in twrp
2. Download this lolipop rom i cooked up in a few mins or any other lolipop rom (but this is tested as working w this method) and flash it (dont mind the supersu flash in the rom. it doesnt work. flash this supersu)
3. Download and flash this supersu (optional)(depends if u want root)
4. FLASH ALL OTHER MODS NOW BCUZ U CANT BOOT IN TWRP BACK LATER
you can try to boot but it wont. You need a bootloader
5. reboot in download mode and flash this modified bootloader
6. boot in stock recovery, wipe, cross fingers and hope it boots
If u ever wanna go back to nougat just flash stock .tar and no issues from there

The guy stayd a few hrs in a constant bootloader fkup to made this happen and has made a huuuuge contribution so that this guide could be possible and as safe as it is
HOW-TO:
Flash something (a mod for example) AFTER you flashed the rom and modded bootloader
flash this stock bootloader in bl tab
at the same time flash in ap the twrp tar.
boot into twrp flash whatever y need to flash
flash back from odin the modified bootloader
"I dont have a g928f or g928c
Can you mod a bootloader for me?"
Well.........depends....... if im bored yea i like to help ppl
Just give me ur model number and i will try to make one for you. No promises tho
U forgot to mention that this 5.1.1 lollipop is faster than any rom. With this rom i got the fastest boot time ever! I recommend u to try this rom ))
Deal with the g928g

Ah yes. If you rooted then you have the deep sleep issue. This was an issue even with the original 5.1.1 it was fixed by flashing a custom kernel buuuut since we cant do that......... we just have to deal with it
is this work on note5 n920c ?
