Touchwiz 4 missing social networking widget? - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

My SGS and my Tab have this widget but no longer in SGS2. Anyone notice this? Can i retrieve it from the old one and which.apk that it belong to?

If you mean SamsungWidget_FeedAndUpdate.apk, I tried putting it on the s2 but it will not run, just force closes. I don't know why they have left it out of the s2, its the reason I do not use touchwiz anymore and use launcher pro because that has a great Facebook feeds widget.

I see. Guess they only want us to launch social hub instead of the old widget.

Free Calendar app

Is there a free Calendar app that has a 4x4 widget that syncs with google calendar...
Struggling to find one that works on my nexus
Stret
Personally I'm using the default Calender widget. You can resize it to 4x4. It's not as good as Simple Calender Widget but until that is fixed for ICS it's better than nothing.

You learn something every day, I did not know you could re-size widgets.
Ive succesfully done that but it just shows today, can you change the view to a monthly calendar?
Thanks though mate, appreciated
No prob. Glad to to help.
I don't see any way to change the display settings of the Calender widget though. Seems like it's stuck like that.

Have you tried Jorte? I don't know if it's updated for ICS yet, but it's my go-to calendar. You can display the whole month in a 4x3 or 4x4, with your calendar entries actually spelled out, instead of just a dot that you have to zoom in on to see what it is. Pure Calendar Widget also does this, but is widget only, and costs $2.99 in the market.
Android pro widgets is really clean.. Also it includes a nice timeline style widget with both Facebook and twitter!
I recommend the paid version.. Some good themes.
Edit: forgot I was still in galaxy Nexus forums.. Not sure if it is ics compatible.

Motorola friend swidget

Does anyone know of a widget or a way to port this onto the nexus, I have moved from an iphone and really miss the favourites section, when I was looking at the Razr I came accross this app / widget and think it would look amazing on the nexus.
If anyone can help me it would be greatly apprecated
You could just tag friends as favourites and add the widget

There are a ton of contact widgets in the market. Android Pro Widgets is good and what I use. You can star your favorite contacts and tell the widget to display only your favorites and sort them by most contacted, alpha, etc. It also has an ICS theme which works well on the Nexus.

Social Hub Widget only shows in Touchwiz?

Anyone know why Social Hub Widget only shows up in stock Touchwiz launcher?
The widget is completely missing from both Go, Apex and Nova Launchers but works with the Touchwiz launcher.
(stock based FF18 rom)
Pretty sure social hub is a touchwiz specific widget. Kind of like how go Widgets will only work with go launcher or friendstream only works with Rosie on sense.

Oh that would be a bummer.
I added Social Hub along with the widget back into the rom I'm using and someone else pointed this out. Since I did it as a favor and have never really used it, I thought I'd ask if this was normal.
Anyone else can confirm this too please?
No Touchwiz no Touchwiz widgets. It's like wanting a galaxy phone without the Samsung. Not happening.. Best bet is to find a third party app.

Help with SaskTel Roughrider's widget

Managed to get a hold of the Roughrider widget off the HTC One S and copied the APK to my Nexus and installed, but I still don't see the widget available to be added. Any ideas, I have attached the apk file.
I'm not real familiar with this widget, but if its a sense widget chances are it won't work because most sense widgets rely on the sense framework to work

If you can get this widget to work I would be so happy.

Yup I believe you need the framework. What does the widget do by the way

I think your best bet would be to check around the play store and see if they have something similar, for example I really missed senses Facebook and twitter widgets and I was able to find android pro widgets which is fantastic they are just like the sense ones

It's a widget that shows information about a Canadian football team. I'm not sure if anything else out there will show so much information about this team than this dedicated app/widget.

Widgets do not update...

That is my problem. It does not matter if it is my Google Music Widget, or a clock widget or even my Plume twitter widget. Even if click refresh on my widget for plume. It will say I have x amount of new tweets but... My widget doesn't show..
I'm not rooted, 4.1.1
No one? Really?

Do you use a task killer or something like that? if yes then add them to your safe list or better yet don't use one.
Have you tried removing and re-adding widgets? have you tried a different launcher maybe.
Sorry if this isnt very helpful, my knowledge is limited.
