[Q] Can you desire play the new gameloft game smoothly?? - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Gameloft game like : Shadow Guardian HD , Asphalt 6 , Fast Five the Movie: Official Game HD V1.0.3
All of them can't play smoothly on my desire...
I have rooted my phone and flashed Cm7 rom.
I just wonder that is it the problem of my phone or all the desire are not able to play those game...

desire is too week for these games! i have tried newest gangstar and nova 2 and lags like hell.. even asphalt 5 was lagging .. so...

First Gangstar was playable on my Desire. A bit laggy at times, but still playable quite fine - same thing with NOVA 1.
Anyone tried Eternal Legacy yet? I am very interested in playing that one.

Yes and its very laggy. :-( Gameloft suck at games for Android. My friend has it on his desire s and its still laggy. Lots of game devs do better games ad they run fine.

agree.. gameloft's games are not that optimized but they produce the best games..
i think it would have been very nice if we could increase/decrease graphic level (very low, low, normal, medium, high and ultra high) for games on android just like on a pc... so that newest games can be run on most phones with different graphical level depending on the the phone's capabilities

besides gameloft ,
can you guys play need for speed on desire shift?
Actually i can play it before i root and flash the desire,
but after i root and flash my desire (tried oxygen, Cm7 , now using cm7) ,
i cannot start need for speed on my phone ,
only the opening can be seen and then jump out to home, no force close

U guys could try overclocking the desire by flashing a different kernel

Desire problem with Game

I can`t play HD, when I launch game, I see black screen :/
P.S. Sorry for my english :/
You'll see Desire has a hard time rendering HD games.
But before everything worked perfectly well, but now is run the game and start the NFS shift shows a black screen.
What did you change, if it was working before?
What is your current ROM?

Are you using stuff like chainfire 3d? And hd games don't actually work very well on desire. The Adreno 200 gpu cannot render hd graphics well.

No.
All we can do is to forget about playing 3d games on wildfire (not including angry birds which was kinda laggy but playable).

mine also runs
my standard angry birds actually works pretty good on my wildfire (overclocked 710 MHz but 691 was fine too) with CM7 ROM.
It helps to block the ads (using an app called adfree) or perhaps even better; just shutting down your internet connection whilst playing it. Makes the game a lot smoother
I can play it with almost no lag... (ofcourse not like on a desire HD, but my stock wildfire friends were amazed about how smooth it ran)
always amuses me the amount of threads raised as a result of Angry birds
Try to switch to airplane mode and turn off background and sound in angry birds.
tapatalked from HTC wildfire
AngryBirds runs fine on my wildfire running cyanogen 7.0.0 Android 2.3.3
Despite the wildfire being in the lower entry level bracket, It does show it's capability in it's diverse functionality.
Movies play smoothly now after overclocking to 729MHz

Does chainfire 3D work on Desire?

Does chainfire 3D work on Desire?
If yes, anybody tried to play gta 3 with the help of this app?

It works - but very low fps and stutters.
I bought it for my transformer where it plays very good, but Desire can not handle it. I mean it is not playable, but runs.
Tried with chainfire 3d or without it?

Hello guys I was experimenting with my phone HTC Desire and tryed to setup Chainfire 3D for games so first what I did was installation of CF3D drivers unfortunately after reboting my phone never stand up it stack at white bootscreen and thats it...
full wipe didnt help ,new room didnt help ,new other room didnt help I give up my phon let me get in to recovery menu and Hboot menu only now my phone is a veggie...
if someone know solution for this problem please post it here to help me rescue my phone...
Chainfire 3D works on desire.. I have been playing Fruit Ninja HD with it without having any performance issues and it was lag-free.
So if you can get it to work on your device, it must be something with your rom and kernel.. Try with stable roms..

[Q] Reckless Racing 2 stutters, help?

Hi,
One of the first games I bought for my HOX is Reckless Racing 2, problem is: it stutters slightly. It's not that much, but enough to make it frustrating to play. Anyone have any idea how to fix this ? It seems to me the HOX should be able to easily run this game.
This is the only game where I have this problem.
My HTC is at stock rom, and I'm using Nova launcher
Hello, i play this game too and have no stuttering at all. Everything is nice and fluid ...
but don't know what can cause that except another task using CPU for example.
Make sur you don't have any application in background syncing or uploading something ...
To my knowledge there is nothing running in the background. But even then, this device has a Quad core, unless something pretty heavy is running, it should be able to handle that, no ?
What tool can I use to check if something is running in the background that uses cpu ?
Go to settings> Apps> Downloaded> Reckless> Clear Data and Force Stop. (If you dont want to delete your gamedata then just clear cache and force stop). Now reboot and launch the app.
OR
Redownload app, reboot, and launch the app. Then report back
And do hit thanks

lol this runs @ locked 60fps
since its running in low detailes mod, blurry textures, no shader effects no nothing
clumsy port
I cleared the cache and rebooted and it is indeed better. Not perfect, but better & playable.
Do you have an explanation as well ?
I just downloaded the game, its runs perfectly without any lag !
Running pokemon rom with bricked kernel !

[Q] HTC Desire in 2013

Hello!
My Xperia Mini Pro died, and I'm looking for cheap phone right now..
I found a HTC Desire for a great price, but I have some questions (I would like to use 4.1+ CM ROMs or 4.0 Sense ROM):
- On my XMP I played with Angry Birds games, Temple Run 2, GBA Emulator, Logo Quiz and games like this. On the Desire these games are playable?
- What about video playback? It's got bigger screen than the XMP, so I can watch shows on it sometimes, is the HW enough for this?
That's all for now, hope you can help! Thanks!

If you are running a gb rom like mild wild or cm7, all of that is easily possible. Games and video playback are great. However if you want to use 4+ rom it definately wont be as smooth, but they will still be ok.
Right now I'm running 4.2.1 (check rom in my sig) and video playback is decent, and so are games like temple run 2.
Btw my quadrant benchmark score is around 1000.
If you are looking for a smooth stable 4+ rom, I would definitely recommend the paranoid rom in my sig. It's the fastest ics/job rom if tried so far.
