You go into your system with adb find the directory for framework go into it look for the app framework_res.apk pull it using command prompt once you have it out then you want to open it up with winner,or 7zip which ever you use then look for this image status_bar_background.png edit it using your favorite tool for editing I use Gimp....after you edit it you need to save it and close up your editing tool then you need to push the app back to your system.... I'm going to post a link to a thread that is good for learning how to theme check it out it will get you started.....

[Q] Theming app icons.

Are all app icons found in the framework-res.apk/drawable hdpi folder? Is there a certain name that all the icons are given because I can't seem to find the app icon in a couple apps... I'm not sure if I'm not looking right or there really not there.

No, they are usually in the apps themselves. For instance email.apk is in the drawable_hdpi as icon.png.

Ohhh.. lol because I seemed to always know how to change the settings icon somehow and I remember changing the phone and contacts icons a while ago but for some reason forgot to check the apps themselves.. or maybe I did search in the app but couldn't find the exact name lol. Well thanks ill see if I have any problems.

I'm pretty sure it is a TW calender.....are you running a TW rom? I'm guessing not because you'd probably have that calender already. If you are running AOSP I don't believe you can get that calender to work.

It has to be installed as a system app.
Guess I'll have to search how to do that. I've tried pushing that file to my system app file with es explorer but no luck on it working

I'm finding a lot of apps I liked aren't working. or won't install. Not sure if blazer 1.7 is tw but that'd be a good reason

It must be something else, cuz when I was rooted stock I couldn't install any app, not even thru ADB, hopefully someone knows the issue.
I gave up on it. But with paranoid you can change the layout of each app. I changed it to 600px and now its big and looks just like the one I was trying to get.. so it works out in my scenario

Once again Blazer is TW, Paranoid would be AOSP. So I don't think you can get that calender app working on there.....
Touchwiz apps will not work on AOSP ROMS without tweaking. Touchwiz has its own framework required to run its apps. If you are trying to install this on a touchwiz rom, use rootexplorer, copy the app, move to /system/app, mount as "rw" and install, then long press the app, change permissions to rw,r,r

How to install Holo Launcher HD to system?

I want use the "add widgets" feature from the drawer but it says it needs to be installed to system. Any suggestions or help?

Just like any other app you want to turn into a system app. There are apps which can move it to the system app folder for you "/system/app mover" is one which is on google play. Or you can just move the APK with a root file explorer and then change the permissions to match the other APKs already in that folder then reboot. Any method to turn an app into a system app will require root in case you didn't know that.

K I'll make it tomorrow.
How about this?
Download. Use a root explorer of some kind to place it in System - Apps. Delete or rename current keyboard apk. Reboot.
