[Q] Install OTA manually on Wildfire? - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I guess its buried deep under and that I will have to turn a lot of rocks to find a answer to this from the forum. I am getting random results on searching. Nothing on wildfire specifically.
I want to know how I can install an OTA update manually on Wildfire. I don't want root.
I have the OTA.xxx.zip file from "Shipped_ROMS" website and I want to do a manual install.
I have figured out this much. I have to rename the file something like "PG05IMG.zip"(for hTC Hero that is) and put in SD card. Start into HBoot by key combination.
And then ? (Should I got to "Recovery", what can I expect next ?)
What should I rename the zip file as ? (Very important)

Firstly make sure of that u don't want root anymore.
And are u asking the thing for htc hero or for wildfire. Im giving the process for wildfire. I dont know about this thing in hero.
First rename the OTA update zip file to "update.zip" and put it in the root of the memory card. Then reboot the phone into hboot menu and then select recovery. Then u will see a red triangle. Now press volume up + power key. Then u will go to the recovery menu. There u will have the option to install the sd card update.zip . just do it and then reboot the phone. Thats all.
NOTE: If u modify the contents of that zip file, then htc signature will be lost and installation will be cancelled with an error. And donot do the process with low battery.
edit: Told u that thinking ur phone was not a rooted one.

A way of flashing the RUU rom extract

Because of my stupid mistakes of making my SD card failed the first time, I found a way to actually downgrade the system using HBoot mode even if you have a new HBoot system (i.e. Official Chinese version, Carrier Locked version, etc).
First thing to do, is to download the 2.73.405.5 official WWE RUU package (the exe);
Then, run that wizard, and while the wizard's program is running, search in your PC's %userprofile% folder, and look for "rom.zip"
Rename that rom.zip to HEROIMG.zip.
Put that file into your MicroSD card's root folder. Do not modify its contents.
put that SD card into your phone.
While the card is in, hboot the device (vol down + power).
it will pop up the HBOOT mode of the device. It will now check for a few files if they exist on your SD card. (HERODIAG.zip, etc)
in the last check, it will look for HEROIMG.zip, and tries to load it. Once the loading bar is complete on the top right side of the device, it will ask you to press home to continue the upgrade, or press other key to escape it. (i am not 100% sure if those are the keys, but you can read english so figure that part out).
Once the flashing is done (remember, this method will wipe everything. including radio, recovery, system, data, cache), you will now have a complete original ROM on your system. From there, use InstantRoot or any other rooting exploit, to root your device, put Cyanogen's recovery there, and start upgrading into custom roms!
Let me know if this method works or not. it worked on 3 of my friend's HTCs.
/* p.s. however i still have my unresolved issue about the SD card slot and USB device not recognized issue. */
Nope, I tried that before and it fails the CID check.
Guiness in a can? BRILLIANT!
yea, everyone has been jumping through their butts trying to figure out how to make goldcards and bypasses... why not just use hboot like htc probally uses it? Duh! Thanks for this!
edit..... oh snap....
does not work for me!
Once the loading bar is complete on the top right side of the device
go back to hboot...
and nothing to do
this won't work because the SPL is still checking the CID of the rom.zip you renamed to HEROIMG
for some people the flash will work, but thats because they have a hero with a CID thats in the range of the cid numbers (open the .zip file and check the android-info.txt to see the list.
changing topic is this is confusing people
nice try though
Otiginal IMG
Confirm ...works for me.After rooting...... and flashing couple images i try reflash back original rom - official ruu not want work ...stop on bootloader .....extracted rom not be a flashable trough sd card and amon ra loader....this way work like charm.Thnx.

Thank you, you are the man!
Thank you so much, i was about to eat my phone. it is htc hero and it worked. thank you so much...
since we have this thread i can ask as well...
is HEROIMG.ZIP signed, or why wouldn't one just alter the CID values in android-info.txt?

I believe it is signed using HTC's own personal keys, preventing us changing the RUU extract.

Might be worth a test to do self signed ?

help i really need help with my hero!!

hey guys!!
i had my hero for the first time this week and i heard about a new firmware so im going to to tell what i did exactly!!
1- i erased every thing on my sdcard
2- i turned off my htc hero and went in recovery by pressing home+power
3- i downloaded this rom from this site
http://htcpedia.com/hero_community_release_no_wipe_98057c7bc94393469/soft/htc-hero-rom.html
4- i pressed wipe data/factory setting reset
5- i pressed apply sdcard:update.zip and this came out:
--Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:No signature (832)
E:Verification failed
Installation aborted
That's it nothing else ive done !! so please friends help i had the phone for three days only and cant do anything!!
i dont know whats root and whats flashing whats everything what i did is what i told u!!
help me!!
here we go...
1. this is the development section. please think before you post, and select the correct section.
2. if you only wiped your data you should still be able to use the stock android that was on the phone when it was delivered. try turning it on and see what happens.
3. if you opened and altered the zip file that is your problem. don't do that, the file is signed after it is created, and needs to be resigned if the content was changed.
4. try downloading it again, might also be a faulty download.
5. if you have no clue what you were doing (and probably neither know why you wanted to do it), have you thought about finding out first? would you just rip some pieces out of your cars engine because someone in a forum told you to?
edit: Ninja-d by kendong, probably better advice also
thanks very much my friend for fast reply ill try both ways!!
sorry kendong2 for putting my thread in this forum but this is the only way to solve my problem and i beg until this problem is finished remove the threa!!

ok, here is how it works: we won't help you if you don't take at least the effort to phrase a question and use some punctuation marks. and don't come with "sorry my english is not so good", every western language uses a dot at the end of the sentence.
what exactly is your problem now? you can turn your phone on and make calls, this is what i get from what you wrote. this would mean that your android boots up and is most probably fully functional. so i am sorry to be that rough, but as long as you don't manage to phrase a single sentence in something that comes even close to english nobody will be able to help you.
and about the wrong thread idea: this is not the wrong forum. it is just the wrong SUBFORUM. as you (tried to) phrase a question it should go into the Q&A subforum, see here. and removing the thread after solving the problem is not the idea of it, next week somebody with a similar problem will ask the same stuff again. will do anyway, but then we don't need to type the answers again, we can just link to this thread.
ok, kendog2!!
What I did now is that I downloaded this rom: (HTC Generic 2.73.405.38 - download)
from this site:
*is there a special rom that i should choose for my hero?
and I put it in my sdcard, and renamed it to "update.zip"
and I went recover mode wher there is only 3 options
I pressed (wipe) and than (apply update).
This came out again:
--------------------------
--Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:No signature (832)
E:Verification failed
Installation aborted
---------------------------
note: When I downloaded the rom i opened it!!
Does this do anything??
as long as you don't modify and then save the file it *should* not matter. but this points out to a faulty file anyway, so here is what you do:
download it again, do NOT open it (i don't know which tool you are using and what it does), copy to sdcard and apply. then report back.
download this rom an do it again like the way you have done it before
1. download this rom : http://www.romraid.com/paul/hero/update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed.zip
2. rename it to update.zip an put it on your sd card
3. put the sd card in your hero and push the home button while booting
4. and if you are in the recovery menu first wipe all data and then choose the option (the first with ....blabla..update.zip)
5. wait until it installed the new rom and then restart your hero
sry for my bad english im from germany
You need a recovery image that will allow update.zip files signed with test keys.
Read through the Amon_Ra Hero Recovery thread to learn how to get it installed.

[HOW-TO] Root your Evo and apply zip files with style

Being that XDA has great info but 5x the garbage, here is some knowledge if you are interested in having root access on your HTC Evo 4G. This may change in the future.
Brought to us by Toastcfh, so this has been known as the "Toast" method of root and is quickly becoming the only way to go if you want root access. So thanks to him and anyone who has helped in the process.
Note: This process will wipe all data from the phone, so you will HAVE to start from stock.
Steps to have root:
Step .1
No matter what version of stock you are on, download this file: PC36IMG.zip
This file can be found directly here: http://link.geekfor.me/rootedromzip
Original site and info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=690762
Now that you have this file, place it on the root of your sdcard. That means in your sdcard, and in no other folder. DO NOT rename this file. This will take care of acquiring root. But we are just getting started, so on to the next step.
Step .2
This next part will cover getting ready to use a custom recovery. This has be given to us by Koush and is known as ClockWorkMod Recovery. Major thanks to him and the devs behind ROM Manager for making this so simple/PC less.
Download this file: recovery-clockwork-1.8.1.7-supersonic.zip (file version may very)
The file can be found here: http://www.droidaftermarket.com/koush/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-1.8.1.7-supersonic.zip
Again, original site and info can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699043
Now, with this file, you want to place this in the root of your sdcard as well. However, this must be renamed to 'update.zip.'
Note: This file must be named update.zip and remain in the root of sdcard to use regularly.
Step .3a
Here you will want to download whatever rom you want in zip format and stick it in the root of your sdcard as well. You will need this for later. Most roms now have the super user app so you will be good to run rooted apps.
Step .3b
There is a good possibility that whatever rom you just downloaded does not come with the newer radio for the phone. This is available in a zip as well. Again, put in the root of sdcard and save for later.
Download this file: evo.1.39.00.05.31.zip
Found here: http://link.geekfor.me/radio139000531
Info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696462
All files should be in the ROOT of your SDCARD. Meaning not in any folder.
Now that the files are ready, we can begin to attain root access.
Step .4
First you must reboot the phone into recovery mode. To do this you must turn your phone on holding the Volume Down button and the Power button until a white screen comes up.
When this screen pops up, the phone will go into recovery mode and works automatically. Give it some time (~60 seconds) and it will ask you if you want to install PC36IMG.zip.
Step .5
When the phone asks you if you want to update, click the Volume Up button to say YES.
Allow the phone to work. Takes a couple minutes so take a little breather.
Step .6
Once complete, the phone will ask if you want to reboot the phone. Again you click the Volume Up button and respond, YES.
Allow the phone to boot and install the stock rooted rom. Once the phone has booted, do not bother signing in and everything as you will be doing it again very soon. But congratzi, you have root access! But only from Recovery mode.
Step .7
Power down your phone. And then, turn the phone on by holding down Volume Down and Power.
Step .8
This will send you into the white screen that is searching for PC36IMG.zip. When it is done, this time decline the update by pressing Volume Down. Then it will ask you if you want to reboot. Press Volume Down again and say NO.
Step .9
This will send you into a menu that you can actually control. Use the Volume buttons to navigate up and down. Use the Power button to select. Scroll down to 'Recovery' and press Power. This will reboot the phone with a black screen and a red exclamation point icon.
Step .10
From this black screen, press Volume Up and Power. This will send you into the real recovery mode.
Step .11
Once here, again use the Volume buttons to navigate and Power to select. Navigate down to 'wipe data/factory reset' and select with Power. This will wipe the phone and get you ready for your first rom.
Step. 12
Once that is done, navigate to 'apply sdcard:update.zip' and press Power to select.
Congratulations, you are now in the custom recovery of ClockWorkMod.
Step .13 and beyond.
This menu is a fully capable recovery. Although it takes some time to get to, here is where you flash any zip you want. I recommend you start with the rom, then the radio. It doesn't matter really. And if the rom comes with the radio then it is redundant. But flash to your hearts content and enjoy your rooted Evo.
To flash zips, navigate to 'install zip from sdcard' then select whatever zip you want to apply. Refer to the roms instructions for any specifics.
Enjoy!
Note:
-Notice I didn't say "connect to computer?" This really can be aquired completely ota if necessary.
-Later on you might want to rename PC36IMG.zip and store it somewhere safe on the sdcard and home computer. Not that you will ever really need it, but if you want to go back to stock, this is a semi-automatic way to do so.
If there were a "thanks" button, I would have clicked it. Very nice of you to put all of this in one thread. Going to help a lot of people out.
Thanks. Finally a short & sweet guide.

hey thanks y'all. I wrote this because flashing seems kinda confusing to people and for those who have yet to take the leap gain more confidence. fear not the root process! find a rom you like, use this, and boom. eventually think this is how themes will work... im guessing there is always metamorph as well.
Yea, I came from the Droid and used the crap out of Rom Manager. That is one awesome app for testing and frequently changing roms.
I wrote a rooting guide and have pictures in it of the recovery process, feel free to use them in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=701152
Great job Burst! This does help out for newbies. This should be pinned in a newbie forum. They also need something like this in the event you need to push apps to your phone.
Example: if a newb installs a Flipz rom (.2), and he wants to keep fm radio feature on his phone it would be nice if some has a guide like this to help.
Anyways great job again.
this was awesome!
I did this all OTA just for fun and it worked great! And I agree that it already seems faster and more efficient! Nice job!
i'm not asking this because i think it was any fault of your tutorial, but because i'm guessing you'd know the answer: when first going into recovery and installing update from .zip, i'd had whatever rom removed all of sprint's bloatware, but in the format it came in after downloading. after selecting the update, it said no update had been found. i rebooted and renamed the file to update.zip, but after trying the aforementioned steps again, it said the file didn't meet the verification of something. this is starting to aggravate me; i've been trying for a while to load a custom rom.

update.zip is the 1mb~ recovery zip, leave the rom named what it was.
If you just want to add zip files do you have to have full root? I currently am using unrevoked as I dont need full root, at least I dont think I will. LOL
For some reason this is still not adding my zip file. I have been though this process 3 times. Its really frustrating. All I want to do is add one zip file. Pulls out hair.

How to manually upgrade to FROYO?

Unfortunately I am stuck with very slow GPRS (not even EDGE).
Many people have shared the update on zipped files.
I wanted to know, if I download the update in zip file and transfer it to my mobile, how can i manually install the update myself?
I have found the steps to update the froyo:
1. Download the Android 2.2 firmware for the Desire – here is the link to download
2. Rename the file update.zip and copy it to your microSD card via USB. [Note: make sure the file is named update.zip and not update.zip.zip.]
3. Power down your Desire
4. Hold down the “Volume Down” button as you power the phone back on.
5. A screen should appear showing your phone’s system searching for various files. Scroll down to “recovery” and press the “Power” button.
6. When you see the triangle with an exclamation point symbol, press the “Power” and “Volume Up” buttons at the same time.
7. From the menu that appears, select “Apply sdcard:update.zip.”
8. When the screen displays “Install from sdcard complete” select “reboot system now” and wait for the phone to power back up.
Come on someone must know tha answer?
+1
need answer
Why are we NOT getting update? Do we need to De0Brand the phone? if so how? Plz plz someone help
Actually, my question is aimed at those, who have the debranded phones and who are getting the update, but are unable to download it because of in accessibility of wifi and slow data connection of operator.
Official link for update is
http://liveimage.htc.com/OTA_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8-1.21.405.2_release4dua3bcrut4wrv30.zip
Now please tell me, how can i transfer it to my mobile and install it from there
I have the same prob. Already downloaded the zip and gonna try a methot found in another website.
Since I'm a new user and not allowed to insert links here it is:

I know this is really newbish but I guess it should work. Will post the results laterz.
You can also check the process for desire's cousin nexus one:

really? No one is willing to help?

Should work, but not sure..

I am not sure what is problem
I have tried the above method my self. And every thing ended out great.
The only problem I faced was failure to upgrade due to low disk space. I deleted some apps and tried to install it again. It worked with out any further issue.
You can make sure that you DONOT touch the zip file. DONOT even open or extract it, just download it and transfer to SD Card.

This might be the issue. My desire is not operator locked. May be you guys have branded phones, thats why this ROM is Not for you.
Have you tried this method?
To manually update the phone
1. Download the official firmware update.
2. Copy the file to your microSD card and name it update.zip (newb warning: not update.zip.zip)
3. Power off your phone.
4. Hold down the VOLUME DOWN button and power it back on.
5. The phone will now search for files like PB00IMG.zip, etc. This is normal. Scroll down to recovery and press the POWER button.
6. When you see the /!\ symbol, press the POWER button and the Volume Up button at the same time. You should be presented with a menu and one of the options should be "Apply sdcard:update.zip".
7. Use the trackball to navigate to "apply sdcard:update.zip" and select it.
8. When you see "Install from sdcard complete", select "reboot system now".

I got the same error message. Could it be that my Build Number is 1.19.707.7?
I believe the Zip file, before being renamed to update.zip, contains a different Build.
It is 1.21...
I am using a Desire in Singapore. Any idea why the OTA is only available in European countries?

[Q] How to update Hboot to 1.01.0001 for AlphaRevX beta?

Hello all!
I Want to get S-OFF on my device. i Have Hboot 0.80.xxxx
I have a rootet phone with wildpuzzle 0.8. and Revovery 2.5.0.7
----
=> Now i want to know is, what RUU do i need to get hboot 1.01.0001 ? and == NOT 1.01.0002 ==
There are so many and i hope that somebody knows the right one

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318
AlphaRev:
http://alpharev.nl/x/beta/ (hboot)
HTC Wildfire (buzz) 1.01.0001
You need the froyo ruu from shipped roms website with the filename " RUU_BUZZ_FROYO_HTC_WWE
and you also should make a gold card. And if the ruu gives any error, extract the Rom.zip from the windows temporary folder and rename it to PC49IMG.ZIP to be kept at the root of sdcard. Then reboot to hboot menu from where you can update that.
And CID errors mean that your gold card is not working.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
WWE 2.22.405.1 will give you HBoot 1.01.0001
so this one: ?
RUU_Buzz_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.22.405.1_Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10_release_160191_signed.exe
and then i must make a goldcard and but the file renamed to => PC49IMG.ZIP
and boot to bootloader
to i need to rename the file? is this the right file? with the right hboot?
Make sure phone is set to Usb Debugging and Charge Only, then just run the exe and follow instructions on install, and that's it!

Yes, its the right file with the right HBoot. But I hope that you are referring to the extracted ROM.ZIP which must be renamed, not the EXE file itself. If not, just follow that post above.
Hello all,
my son has a wildfire with these specs :
- android 2.1
- baseband 13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31
- kernel 2.6.29-6fb59e13
- build 1.29.163.1 CL235700
and...
- HBOOT 0.80.0002
- Radio 3.35.15.31
- S-ON
He wants to try a cyanogen rom.
How can I do ?
I've done this : install root/recovery with unrevoked.
Root is OK but the recovery don't work : when i select an option, the screen become black and nothing happen...
So I think i've done a bad thing...
After reading many posts, i think the method could be this :
- flash an official froyo 2.2 rom to have the hboot 1.01.0001 (got a goldcard for that)
- s-off the phone with AlphaRev X
- install ClockWorkMod
- flash the cyanogen with ClockWorkMod
Right ?
But i also read that when flashing an official froyo 2.2, the root become impossible.
Somebody to help me ?

Cm7 needs cwm recovery 3.x or above. Download any 3.x or above recovery.img file and then use unrevoked to select custom recovery from file menu. Point to the downloaded img file. It gives you the required recovery for flashing cm7 rom.
And altrrnatively you can also flash a 3.0.0.6 recovery from the rom manager if you had a rooted phone presently. Open rom manager and select "all clockworkmod recoveries" at the bottom. Flash 3.0.0.6 recovery. Then reboot to recovery from the option in rom manager itself. Then you will get 3.x recovery for that instant. But I recommend to use unrevoked and flash a higher recovery because few people had problems with 3.0.0.6 recovery .
And you can also use alpharevx to s-off and then root. But better do it after knowing the uses of s-off. And if at all your phone is A3335 wildfire, I would strongly suggest not to update hboot. Because almost all the people who faced alpharevx "nand writing error due to bad blocks" are having A3335 wildfire. If at all you want to go with alpharevx, then check my sign for the links to process.

and then i must make a goldcard and but the file renamed to => PC49IMG.ZIP
and boot to bootloader
to i need to rename the file? is this the right file? with the right hboot?

Yes, it is the right ruu.exe file .
Just make a gold card and run the ruu with phone connected in charge only mode. If you face Cid error then problem with goldcard. And for any errors, go with second way.
Do not connect phone to PC. On PC, click on start and type %temp% and enter. This opens the user temp folder of PC. Now open the ruu and donot go with process. And donot exit the ruu window too, just keep it aside. Now if you observe the temp folder, there will be 2 extra folders created with lengthy filename enclosed in {} brackets. If you explore these folders, you will find rom.zip . Copy the rom.zip to the root of your sdcard ( formatted with fat32 ). Then rename the rom.zip to pc49img.zip Then boot into hboot menu for updating it. And donot interrupt the process and make sure you have enough battery. Since the hboot and radio flashing in that are sensitive. Ofcourse, goldcard is needed here too, and Cid error mean goldcard not working.
[Don't know what things you need. But just thought of making clear. And I didn't mean renaming of ruu.exe to pc49img.zip].

Dear bharatgaddameedi,
first : THANK YOU !
This is why i love XDA : a great community with great members.
So, i'm going to read carrefully your complete guide (i don't know why i miss it !).
And after, if it don't work, i will ask questions !
Just a little one at this moment : you said if my phone is A3335 wildfire, don't update hboot. Where i can find this information ?
Because i thought that A3335 was just the wildfire code (mine has been produce in may 2010).
[EDIT] : for this question, it seems that this thread give me the answer.
Mine is like the first pic (A3333), so it's not an A3335 ! that's cool...
So i'm going to follow your guide because, i've installed the 3.0.0.6 recovery and, like the 2.5 version, black screen when i select something...
You can see under the battery of your wildfire whether it is A3333 or A3335. Just need to read the tiny letters. Pics of both will be same.
Edit: and I think you are using power button to select options in custom recovery. If so, you shouldn't use power button to select options in custom recovery. Instead you should use trackpad to select options and power button to go back to previous menu.

You're right my friend !
I was using the power button to select options in custom recovery...
(because it's not my phone... mine is an LG O2X, and in the clockworkmod, i use the power button...)
I followed all your guide, and the wildfire is now S-ON, rooted and has a recent clockworkmod recovery (v4.0.0.5).
So, my son is going to choose the rom he want (cyanogen i think) and let's go to flash !
BIG THANK again Bharat for your support!
[EDIT] : Cyanogen nightly 128 has been flashed. Everything is going OK ! My son is happy ! Thanks again Bharat !

Yes.
Cm7 has inbuilt oc kernel + inbuilt frequency setting option + inbuilt governers.
Go to settings/cyanogenmod settings/performance/CPU settings.

Creating ext partition on memory card depends on your need. It is not mandatory, but may be needed if you are out of phone memory. It gives you true apps2sd with the ability to move dalvik cache too. It moves every 3rd party app to the ext partition. After creating the ext partition you should flash the DTApps2sd from recovery to use the true apps2sd.
On the other hand, without creating ext partition, you can use the traditional android froyo + aps2sd which installs apps (almost all apps) on the android secure folder of memory card. It doesn't has the ability to move the cache. But you can move almost all the apps to sdcard. You need to use adb command "adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2". This command is not even needed for cm7 since cm7 has inbuilt option for this command.
And creating ext3/ext4 may depend on the speed (class) of memory card. Also moving dalvik cache to sdcard should be done with a better class sdcard.
And personally for me, partitioning with cwm recovery gave bootloops (after flashing DTApps2sd) for a memory card but got success with other card. Anyway I used "gparted live CD" to partition my memory card which was a bit headache at first but finally got success.

So everything seems to be working fine with cyan 7 rc1
but only some questions.
1. i dont need dsp manager (and some other apps) to get more ram free , how can i deinstall it? (unpack the download , delete files [apk] , install cyan 7) is this the right way?
2. What are some good config for tweaks under settings? vm heaps and cache and so on....
3. With the govenor Smartass i cant get under 420mhz (min clock) overclock works. With other govenor the min clock is fine down too 122mhz. Why not with smartass?
3. I have installed facebook app from the market (1.6.1) and the login and logoff of facebook need loooong time ~30sec. .After login off i get and error and app crashes but everything is ok after that?!?
I hope that somebody can help me or is this the problem with the RC1?
thanks everyone

1: You can do that, or use apps like Titanium Backup / Root Uninstaller to uninstall apps like DSP Manager
2. I keep VM Heap Size at 24MB, Rest all are at Stock. I would rather not mess with them.
3. When you use Smartass, and, your screen is on, it will automatically set the lowest clock value to 528MHz. When the screen is off, it reverts to the set lowest value. Thus, it conserves battery when needed, and provides extra power when needed. Thereby- smart.
3. Can't help you with Facebook, Sorry. Don't have that installed.
