thats ok, but i dont wanna see that notification icon..... there is no option to disable it, can you pls help me how i can get rid of that ?
one mor ething, off topic, is ur name akasha ??? if not what does it mean ? if yes also same question for you.....

I was using Total Recall with my i9000 (substituted libs) but regrettably it doesn't work with my new i9100.
Callrecorder seems to work in the meantime, but like manuvaidya I'd rather have greater scope to customise functionality, including getting rid of the perma-notification. Any other applications working, or can anyone figure out how Dsoft have their recording app working with the SGS2 when so many others don't?!

How to set the application to autorun on the reboot of the phone? In WM is set a shortcut to startup, but in Andriod?

Quick workaround that might solve your problem....
Startup Manager is an app where you can add programs you want to launch on boot.
I tried and got the app to start on reboot.
It doesn’t start in the background so your first image on reboot will be the call manager..
It's not an perfect solution, but would help so you don't forget to start the app.
Maybe somebody else know about something better..

Thanks for the Startup Manager idea.

The SGS version is only for Froyo and doesn't work on an SGS with Gingerbread rom. So don't expect it to work on SGS II for now.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

Callrecorder doesn't work with my Bluetooth car kit - just get feedback over the speakers (though the recording is ok). Anyone else having success with BT devices?
SGS/amended libs with Total Recall worked perfectly over same BT kit, so I'm guessing Callrecorder is recording from microphone instead - which works when using the handset mic but not so well with a high gain car mic?

6.5.1 Dialers?

Is anyone working on a Dialer that works with the new 6.5.1 builds in QVGA? If you haven't noticed, any other dialers you try end up having a scroll bar on the side, Maybe its just me but I'm a bit tired of using this old thing...

Does this dialer have vibrate when a call connects?
no but i think u can turn it on with advanced config or something
Do u know how to do that.
I had trouble with the PdG TouchFLO 2D Dialer Clean V1.0.cab.zip dialer. It does look sexy - but I would make a call, end it, then a few minutes later I'd go back to the phone and none of the buttons would work?? Not sure what it was but I had to take it off at work yesterday.

V1.1 can be downloaded from the link below ↓ and you can also add the Smart Dial feature in the new version.

I am looking for the fastest dialer possible(some dialers are slow to answer a call), but I HATE the tiny buttons of the stock WM dialer.

[Q] Any working call recorder?

Has anyone yet found a fully working call recorder for the GN2? By fully
working, I mean able to record both sides, with or without BT headset.
I tested for example "Total Recall", but when you use BT it only
records the other side. Any experience would be appreciated!

Well I finally rooted, but to no avail. I tested again with "Callrecorder"
but when using BT headset, it still only records the other part. So my
question to you guys remains; have anyone out there found an app
capable of recording both sides, when using a bluetooth headset?
There must be someone out there, sitting on a working solution?
Grateful for any kind of enlightening opinion...
The phone has call recording built in. You just need to enable the hidden button for it and it will appear right in the dialer screen. Several roms include the mod. It can also be uncovered using either a modified secphone.apk or the xposed framework.
All options require root and are easy to find out about using Google.

[Q] S4 mini shutter sound

Hi there,
Any means of disabling, or at least, lowering the "shutter sound" on this device ?
I know this is a recurring question on many devices, and that in some countries (including mine apparently), there are laws that require cameras to be "noisy", but I'd just like to make it a little quieter, not even silence it totally.
I've checked in the menus: no "shutter sound" option anywhere. I've fiddled with the different sound menus, to no avail. The thing is: I know this is perfectly possible by rooting the phone, but is there any app/mod/else that could do the job without having to root the phone ?
Thanks for any info/pointer !
Regards,
Bruno

Hi Chris,
Unfortunately, no, it didn't work for me either. Sorry to have neglected informing the list earlier.
However, the app TNCS is talking about in his answer (called "A better camera") works perfectly and does not make any shutter sound ! Great !
