I'm traveling to Dominican Republic june 1st, however htc already said we are getting the update by the end of june, so let's say I turn on roaming, will I get the update? I have wifi over there so, do I need internet from tmo or any internet provider can be use to get the update?

Well if your using a G2 maybe. Remember you have to be using T-Mobiles Network. Since T-Mobile is the one pushing the update through there network.

Are you sure you have got a data plan with your mobile service provider? And if you live in the middle of nowere you might not get the signal.

T-Mobile definitely functions outside the USA. We have T-Mobile over here in the UK too. It might just be your area. Does the 3G work when you're in a bigger more populated city?

How did you get it unlocked so fast, through T-Mobile? Just wondering, I also paid full price for mine.
Does the T-mobile Note 3 have the 850 MHz LTE band (like the ATT one does)?

T-Mobile wouldn't give me a lock code. They said I had to wait 30 days.

I guess it does cuz I'm getting att LTE on the Tmobile note. I used cellunlocker.net and got my unlock code in about 15 minutes for 25.00.

How well would my s4 work on the AT&T network? Thinking of making the switch only because TMO has very bad coverage @ my place of employment and zero coverage @ my new home. Please do consider that I will apply the appropriate compatible radios/rom(s) for ATT.

Yes.
You have to SIM unlcock it. There is a guide around here somewhere. It's really easy.
Do not switch radios. Let me say that again. Do not flash an AT&T radio. You will not be happy.

Well I'm using AT&T on my t-mobile samsung galaxy s4 and its unlocked of course and I got to tell you it's great and yes I did the switch for the same reason you are mentioning and I'm getting 4g lte

I use my T-Mobile gs4 on AT&T, but be sure to check your APNs, otherwise you might not be getting LTE.

So I know all Verizon lte phones a're unlocked now. So how can I get 4g and mms on mines. When I was using my Verizon iPhone 5 and my Verizon note 2 on metropcs they were working great. But now with my one it doesn't wanna work all I get is edge no mms. Everything else works great like sms calls voice mail etc. Would flashing something help? Please help.

Well, the Verizon one may be unlocked, so you can put almost any SIM in it and have it work, but the hardware does not support all bands of LTE and/or frequencies.

yeah found out unlocked htc one dont really support tmobile/metropcs basebands well
Could always trade someone a Verizon HTC one for a t mo HTC one. Just because it's the same phone doesn't mean it has the same internals.

Lol crazy I think sprint is crazy customers somehow never get updates to there phones it's a known fact and it just sticks it cost 350 to get out of contract

If you want out use either one of the other major carriers buy out your contract deal.
All in all, sometimes putting up with a little bull ****, for less is worth it.
As for me being disabled with a wife and children. Money is more important then an upgrade. And sprint is cheaper.
So I deal with it.

It's a known fact that Sprint never get updates, so sorry but you have no clue. They are usually one of the first. And all carriers charge you a fee to get out of your contract.

It does, though sometimes the updates are not just sprint but manufacturers because of sprint.
We have a different NFC chip then the other versions of our phones. CDMA of sprint is antiquated.
There have been 5 updates to the Sprint G2 since it's release. That's quite a few yes?
Anyways, Lollipop is still going to be a while since Sprint isn't even testing it yet based on this - http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS980-SPRINT/latest
