[Q] Works the native SIP-client on CM7? - Defy General

Hey community,
i try the CM7 Beta for a while, but i'm not able to use the integreated SIP-client of Gingerbread.
I attempted pbxes.org and the login information of my VoIP provider - it writes only "incoming calls activated" but can't call out or in.
Had someone successfully used the sip-client in the betas? I think it enables better battery lifetime than sipdroid which blocks the sleepmode of my device
Thanks for your help,
Ronny

Hi Ronny,
I'm using the native sip client from CM7 Rc1 and it works just fine.
The only problem i have is that the caller-id don't seem to work.
My voip provider is EasyVoip.

Does it work on 3g/edge too?

3g: yes
edge: no
My 3g connection is capped at 1mb and sip calling works fine.
Btw: i'm using sipdroid again because it has more settings and the caller-id works.

no edge... it's so bad...look at the 3g coverage in czech rep.

the darker blue is 3g...
it's horrible and then look at prices...everywhere else they are much cheaper... so as it seems i won't use cheaper SIP calls instead of normall calls.
Thanks for your response...

I found this tutorial here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2106739. After some tinkering I finally got it to work but it does take away the option to change from CDMA to CDMA/LTE. I've only used odexed on stock ROM.

Flash at your own risk I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your device. If this is not allowed to be posted I sincerely apologize.
Also found out if you receive a call while on the phone the caller id will only display the number and not the name.
Awesome work man! This problem has been plaguing the Sph-l900 for EVER!
Thanks have hit 8 fit the day but I'll get back at cha.
Cool I hope it works well for you. Its based off MA7 also.
has anyine tried this? any problems

Only issue I've had so far is the missing option in wireless and network to change in and out of lte but my lte works fine. You can still change it in the dialer if you know your msl number which is what I usually do to avoid a reboot. Its based off of stock framework I can't say if it will work on other roms.
Thanks.... Are you gonna be improving this with the caller Id and call network issues that you pointed out?

If I can figure it out I will. When the menus and caller id worked the swap button did not. I plan on trying it again.

T-mobile wifi calling.?

I have my T-mobile Note 3 always makes calls through wifi, even when the wifi calling is disabled, I noticed that today when I had a call and when I stepped out of the wifi range, the call was dropped. also I noticed that the HD Voice only works with wifi calls. is that Normal? Does someone encounter or noticed that?
Very normal. Your locked into Wi-Fi it does not switch off to 4g while ur on call.
TWEAKED 2.0 NOTE 3
Thanks for the reply, I know what you mean, but what I mean is. My wifi calling is disabled, how come the phone use wifi to make a call? what the purpose of using Enable/Disable wifi calling, since the phone use wifi calling no matter what you set it for?

[Q] Possibility to porting/ developing any dialer app for 3g video calling

ok as we know that zenfone series doesnt have 3g calling option (not skype or tango, i mean 3g native video call)
My carrier priced same cost voice calling and video calling
is there any possibility to porting samsung's dialer app or something similar that can make carrier supported video calls? (3g native video calls)
may be there are no one to develop something but in the theory is it possible?
i think zenfone totally disapointment for who before using samsung phones
- bad lcd quality (compare to amoleds)
- non replace battery
- poor plastic back cover, sometimes not fit well with the case
- extremly battery draining,
- charger socket and stock usb cable has bad quality
- in my country it sold with the same price note 3, and a bit lower price like lg g4 note 4 etc.
- good news it has a fm radio, make me happy to using it on the bus going to my work. listening news, live morning shows etc...

Hi guys! After a loooong time of inactivity I'm back with a new app.
Actually, the app was launched almost 3 months ago but only in Italy (with 5000+ downlods since then); now I'm trying to deliver it also in USA.
Basically this app let you know who called you when your phone is busy in another call or offline. It works by instructing your mobile provider to forward calls to my server that reject the call and send the notification to your phone through Internet.
The main advatanges of this approach are:
1) many mobile providers charge you to provide a similar service based on SMS. My app provide the same service almost for free
2) my app logs missed calls in the native call history of your Android phone. A lot more convenient then SMS
The problem is that I need a local server in each country I want to provide my service, because call forwarding is only allowed to local numbers. So I bought another server in USA but I can't test it from Italy (my country!). I want to do some beta testing before opening it to the public.
So.... do you live in the USA and do you want to help me? Great!
1) Download the app and test it. Report feedbacks here on XDA or at [email protected] to let me know everything works as expected
2) If there are issues with the service please always provide your mobile provider (ex. AT&T)
3) Please tell me if there are issues with the translation (I'm italian and my english is not so good)
Your help is VERY appreciated! THANK YOU!

Google voice wifi calling airplane mode broken

Device = 7t
Latest google voice app.
Issue: When phone is in airplane mode and gv configured to make calls using data/wifi, outbound calls don't work. App comes back with message to disable airplane mode. Calls are being attempted from within the gv app itself, not reg dialer.
I tested this on several other phones (axon 7, s9+), and both appear to place calls correctly with wifi on/airplane mode.
Inbound calls ring just fine on the 7t in airplane mode.
Thoughts?
Looks like your not the only one with this problem

Suggested that it might be an issue with dual sim phones, but no solid diagnosis or solution

I've read several such threads on there, reddit and someplace else I think. I'm not sure dual sim is the key. Axon 7 is a dual sim phone with no issues. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
I'm having exactly same issue on latest GV , it always says first turn off airplane mode , if this is as designed, have to say what a stupid design.
I have single Sim card OnePlus 9 .. apparently issue doesn't matter with dual sim or not..
