Enjoy

awsome now we can flash back to eu when/if needed

H-6.1-38-4 is that 3.1?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

Link added, and no 3.1. But you can always upgrade on the official way using these images, assumed 3.1 is available via OTA yet. The main purpose of these images is helping people with semi bricks and/or those who have flashed firmwares from other regions.

3.1 would be 6.3-XX and I doubt they will ever be made available there. The sole purpose of these images is to recover XOOMs, not to distribute updates.

How would you know if oyu where semi bricked with no way back? I ask cause I think I may be semi bricked. I'm stuck in the boot loop, and, I'm stuck in the 'starting fastboot protocol....' after trying rebooting with adb fastbootloader.
What would be the command to use these with adb?
Thanks.

You need to use fastboot to flash these images. If you've installed the android sdk then the fastboot tool should have been included with it (It's a command line tool)
Once you've located fastboot (it's in TOOLS inside the android sdk directory.) Follow the instructions posted on the site
The commands to flash and re-lock your device are as follows:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock

If I can still boot into CWR, does that mean I may still be semi bricked? I managed to flash BRD's boot and tiamat off his thread, and it worked well, until reboot. I'm still stuck in this boot loop, and it's making me loopy!
This whole thing happened because I stuffed with the build.prop file in the system folder and downloaded market enabler.
Can you relock a wifi only xoom?

It's about bloody time! Thanks for the update!

maybe a stupid question.
i got my xoom from amazon with the t-mobile rom (altough there is no visual branding). does the xoom have something like CID or CSC or would "unbranding" just be that simple than flashing the stock eu image?

If you check my sticky, link is in signature I have already put all these up without logins.

**** thaaaat, where is 3.1 ?

I can't seem to connect to the PC now, go figure. I want to try and just restore to factory, is this possible without my PC recognising my Xoom via USB now? Is there a way to flash the official Moto images if I can't connect my usb to my PC? I can force a reboot via adb, but that's it.

Is there any possibility to have the SBFs?

(Post 3)
ONLY FLASH THESE RADIOS IF YOU ARE USING A MODEL
T999, T999L, T999N or T999V DEVICE!!!!!
ONLY FLASH EACH MODEM TO THE DEVICE IT BELONGS TO!!!!
CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!!
DISCLAIMER:
Flashing radios on your phone should not be done if you do not understand what the modem/radio is! Yes, it is a simple flash, BUT, if you do mess it up somehow, it can at best prevent you from obtaining a signal, and at worst possibly brick your device!!! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE INDICATED MODEL DEVICE, DO NOT FLASH!!!!! If you have a different device or are with a different carrier (such as Sprint, AT&T, etc) T-Mobile radios are NOT likely to work. It has been mentioned by just a few users that you can in fact safely flash these to other US Variants without bricking your phone, but it probably will have no connection.
IF YOURS IS AN INTERNATIONAL MODEL GALAXY S3 (I9300/I9305) YOU MAY BRICK IT IF YOU FLASH ANY OF THESE!!!
I have tested each T999 modem on my own device with no issues, however, you flash at your own risk! The others should be perfectly safe for their respective models. I have never been told of any problems with them in the past!
Individual Releases
All modems are flashable from within TWRP or CWM Recovery
They are listed beginning with the latest release at the top of each models section.

T999V Modems
These modems are ONLY compatible with the T999V!
Note about these Canadian Variants: All three carriers (Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron) phones have an identical Build and Baseband. Because of this I would say the modems are likely all the same, and so the Wind modem should work on the other two carriers and vice versa. I have no way to verify this so I will err on the side of caution and continue to offer all three. If you do use one carriers modem on any other carrier, I make no guarantees that it will work. (But please let me know of any success or failure if you do give it a shot).

Team Sonic - Modem Flasher For All {Out-Of-Date}
clark44 has ported over his Modem Flasher from the Sprint Galaxy S3 variant. This is really an awesome tool and can make flashing and testing these radios super easy! You only have one file to keep track of rather than the many individual ones below! It uses the aroma installer which allows you to pick which modem you want to install. This is great for testing to find your "best" modem! Huge thanks to clark for putting in the time and effort to port it over for us! I have considered taking over and updating it, but have not decided for sure yet as we would probably need 3 or 4 versions due to the other variants and sheer number of modems available.
Flash the tool from TWRP or CWM Recovery.

Maps & Modems
T-Mobile GS3 Modem Map
A Public Map to track which modems work best in a given area!
No longer do you have to ask, "Whats the best modem in my area?"
Just click the link below the title and enter your location in the Google search box to see if anyone close by has entered their results!
Don't see any posted information close by? Then please run some tests of your own and help everyone out by entering your results.
I encourage everyone to run their own tests and to please share your findings. Even if there are already 3 or 4 entries for a location, please take some time to add to the map. The more tests/results posted in an area, the more reliable the map becomes!
I suggest that everyone use the SpeedTest.net app by Ookla from the Google Play Store. If you use another method, please mention it in the map information you post.
*I got this idea from meleii of the AT&T forums. Thanks to him for the idea and allowing me to copy it for use here! If you see him, Thank Him!
*Thanks to vnguyen972 for getting the map set up for us so quickly. Thank him too!
INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure you are logged into your Google account
Click the link below the title, or click HERE to open the map.
Enter your City, State and Zip in the search box. (I recommend also entering a nearby intersection to produce more accurate results)
Click on the Map Marker
Click Save to Map
Select TMobile GS3 Modem in the drop down box and click Save
Now click on your location in the panel on the left.
Please use your City, State and Zip for the title.
Enter your information into the description, then Save!
Should look something like this:
DocHoliday77
UVLI6
XquiziT v70, UVALH2, Stock Kernel (ROM, Build, Kernel)
Ping: 146-733
8-13 / 1-3 (Down / Up)
If you care to go a step further, the following would also be helpful:
Any related build.prop tweaks (More information to come later)
Any other info you feel is relavent
Of course, everything is optional. You don't HAVE to use the above format, but I think if everyone does, it will make it much easier to read.
Remember, the more data we collect, the more reliable it becomes! You are, of course, more than welcome to enter test results for more than one area. (Home, Work, Wherever you want!)
Sometimes when you search for just your City, State and ZipCode, the map marker can still be a number of miles away from where you are. If you also enter a nearby intersection you can get the Marker closer to you. I don't recommend having it point at your house!
NOTE:
If you want to help or encourage people to find and take part in this project, Please link them to this page/post rather than posting links directly to the map all over the place. This should help keep all related questions and comments here, and help prevent a bunch of extra threads which will needlessly clutter up the forums!
Thanks in advance to all who choose to participate!!!

Data Speeds! build.prop Tweaks and More!
Tips and Tweaks
In this post you will find tweaks, edits and anything else which may have an affect on your data speed.
This being the Baseband/Modem/Radio thread, I only plan to include those tips which are related to your data connection.
In the future I may start a new thread with lots more information on everything else!
build.prop tweaks
In this section you will find different entries which can be changed or added/removed to your build.prop, located at /system/build.prop. I will do my best to define and describe what each entry does and the available values you have to choose from.
First a little general info about the build.prop file.
During boot, the system reads the build.prop from top to bottom. This means that if you have duplicate entries, the last one read will be the one applied. In this case you may feel free to delete any duplicates to clean it up a little.
You must leave a blank line at the very end of the file. Otherwise it will not be read.
When experimenting with different values, it can be handy to comment out the original and leave it there as a backup and reference. To comment out an entry, simply put # at the beginning of the line. Anything on that line after the # will not be read by the system. This is a good way to leave a quick note for yourself if needed.
If you see an entry here, but it is not in your build.prop, you can just add it in. If it is already in your file, just edit the value.
IMPORTANT!!! Make a copy of your original before you edit anything!!! Stop Here and put a copy of your build.prop on your EXTERNAL sdcard!
There are certain lines in this file which, if incorrectly edited, can cause your system to not boot. Don't Panic! Got your Towel?? Good! All you have to do is copy your backed up original back to /system/
How? Easy! Just reboot into recovery (I am assuming that if you are editing your build.prop you also have TWRP or CWM installed). Once in recovery mount your system partition if it is not already done. Now, using the built-in file browser, rename your edited build.prop and copy the original back to /system/
Reboot! (I know for a fact that the file browser is built into TWRP. I am assuming it is the same with CWM. If it is not, let me know and I will post another easy solution for you.)
==================================================================================================================
OK, I think we have covered the important pre-edit stuff!
I will start with just a few to get this going, and I will try to continue building on it until I run out of information.
I will be adding more to the list soon! (I will also probably play with the format a bit to try making all of this easier to read)
And Now......The build.prop tweaks!

GPRS Class 12 (?) (4 Downlink Timeslots, 4 Uplink Timeslots, with 5 Timeslots simultaneously active) (It may be capable of a higher class, but I am not sure at this time)
64QAM (wave modulation)
T-Mobile's networks support the following:
HSPA+42 supports HSDPA Cat 24, and HSUPA Cat 6
HSPA+21 supports HSDPA Cat 14, and HSUPA Cat 6
HSPA+ (will verify later) (believe D=10, U=5)
HSPA (will verify later) (believe D=8, U=5)
The ro.ril.xxxx properties are used to define the target network.
So if you are in an area that has HSPA+42, you should try these values:
ro.ril.hsxpa=3
ro.ril.hsdpa=24
ro.ril.hsupa=6
For areas with HSPA+21, try these:
ro.ril.hsxpa=3
ro.ril.hsdpa=14
ro.ril.hsupa=6
Check the HSPA+42 Fact Sheet to see if your area has been upgraded yet!
ro.ril.hsxpa defines the target networks available technology. (I have not found anywhere to verify for sure, so this is from others definitions and my own reading)
0 = 3gpp Release UMTS r99
1 = HSDPA
2 = HSDPA/HSUPA
3 = DC-HSPA (HSPA+)
4 = ?? (Maybe LTE related, or HSPA+42?, testing needed)
5 = ?? (May not even be defined yet, but likely related to LTE)
ro.ril.gprsclass defines the GPRS MultiSlot Class to be used on the target network.
10 = Slower Uplink, ?Uses Less Battery?
12 = Faster Uplink, ?Uses More Battery?
If we can verify that my theory for these is correct, I will post the HSPA+, and HSPA values as well. But you should be able to figure those out on your own.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALL AVAILABLE VALUES
ro.ril.hsxpa=0-3
(I have seen 4 and 5 used, but cannot confirm they are really defined values, likely LTE related if they are)
ro.ril.gprsclass=1-12 and 30-34
(I have seen and used ones in between in the past, but they are no longer listed)
CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
ro.ril.hsupa=1-9
(10-12 may be defined at this point, but I could not verify this)
CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
ro.ril.hsdpa=1-16 and 19-36
CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
ro.ril.enable.dtm=0,1
DTM = Dual Transfer Mode -- EDGE ONLY --This defines whether or not the target network supports simultaneous transfer of both voice and data. Likely not needed at all.
ro.ril.hep=0,1
(??? I have seen this used in many places, but have never been able to verify its use) Likely not needed.
ro.ril.enable.a51=0,1 Weak, hackable encryption used to provide privacy for voice communications. Not needed.
ro.ril.enable.a53=0,1 Weak, hackable encryption used to provide privacy for voice communications. Not needed.
***These both are weak and have been easily hacked. I would imagine it would serve only to slow things down a little. Of course, there is the argument that some is better than none! I leave it up to you to decide for yourselves.
As far as I can tell, the ONLY real tweaks you need to make for now are HSXPA, HSDPA, HSUPA, GPRSCLASS. I am aware there are others that can be added as well, but I have not done the research or testing yet and would like to nail these down first! Any help/feedback is appreciated!

Speedtest.net Alternatives
I personally do not find the SpeedTest.net app to be very reliable or indicative of real world speeds. You can choose different servers and get wildly different results. However, as with most benchmarks, so long as you are being consistent with your use, the data can still prove useful. This is why I still recommend using only that app for posting your results to the Map.
Your results can be heavily impacted by traffic, server choice, distance, routing, etc. I have had terrible speedtest results, only to turn around and download a large file super quick! So remember, no matter what you use, these tests will not give you a very accurate reading into what you can expect with real-world use.
Below you will find listed some alternative websites where you can test the speed of your connection. I am listing them here so that you can possibly find a better testing alternative to use for your own results. If you use any of these or know of others, please share your experience and maybe we can find something better and more consistent for everyone to use!

Hey guys, I saw something pretty cool on the AT&T forums.
In their modem thread by meleii he has set up a public map in google maps where their users can enter their location and enter information about which is the best performing modem in their area.
I have seen a lot of people asking what modem is best where they are, and this may be a good way to figure all of that out. Provided enough of you would be willing to perform honest testing and enter your results on the map that is.
Ive never used public maps, but am willing to learn and implement if this is something you guys would like to see.
(As if I dont already know the answer to that!) Anyway, if you have any feedback or pointers or anything else to add please feel free to do so!

Well since we don't have a map. Who lives in Pennsylvania or Philadelphia and which radio works best?

I live in Bucks county- still testing the newest ones out. I will report back in a few days. The modem flasher is awesome as it allows you to quickly change without too much of a hassle. SO far the latest leak (UVLI5) is the best for me followed by UVLG1. I am still running some tests on the latest leak though.

Nice idea.
I created a map here... now if we all could join and contribute
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=206376864302453711738.0004c96ebcfb8b7b4df9b
Instruction copied from the ATT thread:
Please click the above URL and follow these steps to add yourself to the map:
Use the search box to locate your city, state, and country.
On the marker that appears, you’ll see a link that says*’Save to My*Maps‘*within the bubble.
Click the link and select the*TMobile S3 Modem.
Put your name as the title for the marker, and within the bubble provide whatever info you’d like
Thanks man! Awesome!
Ill add this to OP later this evening when im at my 'puter!
Now lets hope enough people use it to make a difference!
Haven't had time to keep up and thoroughly test them all yet, but I will definitely be adding to the map soon!
Thanks again for getting that done! :thumbup::thumbup:

2. In Google search box... search for your location.
3. Once the marker of your location appears... click it and a small popup from the marker will allow you to click add to my maps and select the Tmobile GS3 Modem then click OK
4. Once it's added to the map... you can click on your location on the left panel to add in the Title and any description you like then click Save.
I was confused when reading the instructions on the other thread too myself

It's best to use your computer to add your location on the map. Google needs to figure a way to make the Site a little more phone friendly.

I just tried all 9 modems, so I kept UVLI4 that works better for me. I also put it on the map
I still cannot figure out how to add my location to google maps. I read the post above me and I still do not understand where the "map link" is. I was able to install the modem flasher and I got the latest modem flashed without any problems. Im just confused about the google maps part of it. Any help would be sweet..thanks

[ROM's] [Stock ODEX] and [Firmwares] [SM-N900T] Updated on 3-16-2017 N900TUVSFPL1

1st = I am not a Programmer, not a Developer, nor a Modder... I just love my ANDROID DEVICE's... these roms will not get updated, they are STOCK ODEX Rom's not ALTERED except for renaming the KNOX files by adding the extension .ori so they would not run, I did not delete any files from these ROM's.
2nd = How to install the rom, JUST go to RECOVERY, ( I use TWRP RECOVERY ), Always make a backup 1st.. These Roms don't wipe ur Data, so if you don't wipe Data you might have some issues, - that being said - wipe SYSTEM, DATA, CACHE, DALVIK CACHE 3 times, then flash the rom, SIT BACK and wait a few minutes, THEN ENJOY...
3rd = Don't hold me responsible, if your phone blows up, or for whatever other damages u do to ur phone, flash at your own risk...
**************************************************
I made these Rom's for my personal use, and thought I would share for others that want STOCK ODEX Rom's, these Rom's are not rooted.
If you want the ROM rooted, goto Chainfire and download the newest SU available, after flashing the ROM, flash SU, reboot the phone, goto the Playstore and then install BusyBox, from Steriscon.
**************************************************
before posting theses Rom's I test them out, so they have no issues or problems...
Anyone can use these ROM's as a base for there own, all I ask is - if you share any of these ROM's, give proper credit to me, mdiaz33685...
Please Don't forget to hit the THANK'S Button...

These are Stock Not Rooted, so someone can do whatever they want and use whatever SU they want for root,
and I keep the Firmwares and other related files all in one Place.
That is all I am trying to do, and when there are other releases they will be easier to retrieve for the future, and I don't have to keep making other threads, they will all in this same location.

everything is working.... Just wanna test a bit more for a few day, then I will post, the new Stock Not Rooted - with Tethering Fix.
edit: I got the file working on my own... I decompiled and recompiled the file, working ok..
I see about 32 downloads,,, can I get some feedback, It has been working for me, I have over 51gb so far on the tethering mod,
Just a plain Stock Odex Rom, with only one file altered, the tethering mod, :laugh:
Can I get some thanks from people that this rom is working... :good:
edit 04/29/2014 - yesterday on my tethering rom, I hit 61gb of downloading and uploading through my computer and tablets...
just to let you know that was my first full month with my rom..
Just want to let you peeps know, the Hong Kong Build - N9005ZHUENE3 = 4.4.2 = Build date: Mon, 12 May 2014 00:00:00 +0000 =
just about everything works on its own, I did not have to modify anything, this is an awesome build.
Tethering works out the box, on its own..
MMS is set to higher than other Internation roms, you can send 2 pictures without problems,
wifi and just about all the other settings work just fine.
THE ONLY FUNCTION THAT DID NOT WORK, THAT I HAVE NOTICED WAS NFC. if anyone finds and easy fix, let me know, I have noticed in an another rom, someone just put all the NFC files and libs from another working build, maybe someone can attach a flashable zip...
Please let me know, I would like to use that.. (for myself that is, I try to leave all these roms in this thread Stock Not Rooted...
edit: for the tethering = I use HOTSPOT TOGGLE WIDGET from the Play Store, its free, works for me....

I have been using this for since the 17th, 3 days now, no issues. none at all..
except I can not get NFC to work, I tried a different kernel -compulsion from Jovy23 and the NFC and WIFI fix but it didn't work, waiting to see if someone else post a fix for that issue.. I don't use NFC, so don't really care..
the mms-picture messages are set lower than 1000k, but I can send 2 pics not like other internation roms, where you can send only 1 pic. and its black themed, also the dialer is black themed.- International Roms are setup better, well better for my liking..
Its just plain stock rom,
the version of the screen shot, is not the one hosted at the site, I edited the build.prop and changed the "N9005" to "N900T" and then changed whatever said "hltezh" to "hltetmo" so this way the 4g lte represent correctly.
make a backup and give it a try.
edit: also the tethering works great, I also mean the restricted tethering... :laugh:
edit: also change the CSCVersion.txt to represent N900T; REMEMBER TO USE notepad ++ for editing and 7zip to put back in, (but I have been using WinRAR also works) but 7zip is recommended.

not on any of the Stock Roms, unless you get it from one of the other developers, some of them get them working. they copy all the nfc files and lib files, I tried on this rom for myself, but did not get it working yet.
edit: they do work, if that is ur correct phone model, I have the N900T, so they do not work for me, u need to have the correct phone model for NFC to work, if you install another kernel, the NFC icon will turn on, but you will not get the NFC icon on your status bar, and it will not send the picture to the other phone.
Im uploading the firmware N900TUVUDNE6 for the 2nd time, it says completed, but its stuck at 100%, and says uploaded, but I still don't see it there,
so all this time, I have made my Stock Odex Rom with Modem, No Root, that means it completely STOCK, NOTHING DONE TO IT, but It doesn't flash the modem cause our bootloader is locked.
So this means it works on the older bootloader NB4, I haven't flashed the firmware N900TUVUDNE6 and everything is great with it..
Edit: everything is working NFC and all other functions of the rom, without the firmware N900TUVUDNE6 being update, still on NB4 baseband...
also no need to flash a kernel to make the rom boot, this new version of the ROM are booting just fine... on the NB4 Bootloader... but I can not get root... hmmmm
finished uploading Firmware and my Stock Odex Rom...
Finish using Odin and firmware to NE6, still having issues getting root access..
downloading cf autoroot... not sure which one is newer, downloading for N900T and N9005
then installed twrp2701

I downloaded the NE6 titled: N900TUVUDNE6_hltetmo_Stock_Odex_NotRooted-WithModem-WithKnox.zip
When I tried to flash in TWRP 2.7.0.0, it failed saying could not mount usbstorage. Any ideas?

If you were on the old bootloader, 4.3 = I do remember we had to format the sd card... what I did what copy everything to the external or computer and in recovery in recovery format or wipe the sdcard ( the internal ), also there is a flashable ext card fix, flashable posted through one of the other developers threads...
I didn't have no problems with anything... also read the OP 2nd post at the bottom, so that the Firmware - Baseband - Modem can be flashed easily.. I copied everything from internal and external to my computer, just in case..
I have everything uploaded, triangle away v3.26Odin v3.09, the new firmware N900TUVUDNE6, TWRP 2701, the autoroot chainfire,
I didn't have that error, but that error first came to me and others when we update bootloader from 4.3 to 4.4.2
edit: when I was on NB4, I actually had the rom working without issues with the new rom NE6..

[Q] Can't downgrade modem

I have an i747m with a 4.3 bootloader. I rooted and installed custom recovery, and a 4.1.1 rom. But whenever I try to install a modem version lower than 4.3 i get a "no network" symbol. I have even tried wiping everything and using stock 4.1.1 odin images for the i747m but no luck. So far i have tried the following CWM flashable modems from this thread:
[MODEM] Complete Modem List for both I747U & I747M
I747MVLLE8: modem_CWM_I747MVLLE8.zip - 19.42 MB - May 8th, 2012 (original shipped)
I747MLALH1: modem_CWM_I747MLALH1.zip - 19.62 MB - August 1st, 2012
I747MVLLH1: modem_CWM_I747MVLLH1.zip - 19.46 MB - August 1st, 2012
I747MUMALJ1: modem_CWM_I747MUMALJ1.zip - 19.48 MB - October 1st, 2012
I747MUMBLK3: modem_CWM_I747MUMBLK3.zip - 18.97 MB - November 3rd, 2012
I747MVLDLK4: modem_CWM_I747MVLDLK4.zip - 18.92 MB - November 4th, 2012
I747MUMBLL1: modem_CWM_I747MUMBLL1.zip - 18.97 MB - December 1st, 2012
I747MVLDMF1: modem_CWM_I747MVLDMF1.zip - 18.99 MB - June 1st, 2013
I747MVLUEMK5: modem_CWM_I747MVLUEMK5.zip - 19.17 MB - November 5th, 2013
The only one that works is the last one. It's 4.3.
The 4.3 bootloader requires the latest modern. There is no way to use an older modem. This applies to the i747 too.

[ROM's] [Stock ODEX] and [Firmwares] [SM-N910T] N910TUVS2EQG1 08/08/17

I hope the recovery file in /etc was removed or it will mean restoring to stock, do not pass go. Typically, it means it doesn't include the su binary and a whitelist app.

I did not root the rom's, they are STOCK ODEX ROM's... I only uploaded the With Knox rom, absolutely nothing done to it, flash in TWRP,
I have not had the chance to fix the other roms, one With No Knox, then another with Tethering Fix,
just got home, and need to get up at 4am, I will try to get a chance to fix the other 2 versions for 2morrow night.
to root the rom, install SU from Chainfire then Install Busybox from stericson.

the full firmware doesn't wipe anything....
I did the stock odex roms for 2 days, I did test them out, they are working, but ran into the fingerprint scanner issue....
but just got back from the tmobile with a brand new black note 4.. im not gonna root for right now... this fingerprint scanner issue needs to be addressed better. I want the fingerprint scanner working, that is one of the reasons I changed to the Note 4...
I will upload the roms later tonight.
Rooted my phone 2 days ago, and using my stock odex rom with tether mod, it working great with no problems... fingerprint scanner is working fine also, I deleted any stored fingerprints when testing other roms.. works without issues.

I have the same problem. And ODIN will not allow the flash to go through.
SamMobile.com has NK4 though. The website requires a login (free, no SPAM). I recommend it because they always have Samsung firmwares.

What is a Fastboot Cable
Factory Cable, Fastboot Cable, and Motorola Programing Cable are all the same thing.
The usb cable that came with the device , is just a stock usb data cable.
With a fastboot cable, Power (+) from pin 1, is moved to the normally unused pin 4.
Many Motorola Devices are hardwired to bypass the battery, and power the device directly from pin 4.
"So you flashed your phone and now it thinks the battery is dead (even though it's not) and it won't let you flash it again to fix it? Or, your battery really is dead and you don't have a way to charge it because your phone is soft-bricked and won't charge the battery. What do you do? With this cable you don't even need a battery in your phone." - By Team Black Hat

Fixing MTP drivers
This may not work, if it did for you, please let me know.
1st Option:
Update Windows Media Player
wicpp said:
I am having Windows XP SP3 and I was experiencing the same USB MTP installation failure, I updated my Windows Media Player and it fixed the problem. The option in Windows Media Player Help->Check for updates was not working, so I downloaded Media Player from Microsoft webiste and installed it and after that driver is now working fine.

Using Hash Checksums
[How to] Verify that your download is complete with MD5/SHA-1 Hash Checksums
many devs post md5 checksum with rom link, use it
if both MD5 and SHA-1 are posted you need only verify one
if it was not posted, download again until you get same md5 twice
video by @Tomsgt
https://youtu.be/P-tNyul-iOQ
use one of these
MD5 Checker (simpler) Windows
MD5 & SHA-1 Checksum Utility Window
MD5 Checker (android App)
Why should you verify your download?
The file that you downloaded, may not have downloaded completely, even if you have very good internet, the file packets pass through several servers, 5-20 maybe even more.
Most files for most people will download complete, but unless you compare checksums you just don't know.
What is a MD5 checksum?
"MD5 Codes: MD5 stands for Message Digest version 5. The MD5 algorithm takes a file (the “message”) of any size, and reduces it down to a code that looks like this: “ac30ce5b07b0018d65203fbc680968f5″ (the “digest”). The brilliant thing about the MD5 algorithm is that if the message changes by so much as a single byte, it will produce a completely different digest. Think of MD5s as fingerprints for files.
The MD5 algorithm has many uses. Foremost is the ability to validate that when a data file is transmitted from point A to point B, it arrives intact, without distortion. This is done by calculating the MD5 string that corresponds to the original file (at point A), calculating the MD5 again using the copy of the file (at point B), and then comparing the two MD5 strings."
-http://www.codejacked.com/using-md5sum-to-validate-the-integrity-of-downloaded-files/
Some Other Checksum versions are SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512
Sites like https://mega.co.nz have end to end encryption, so verifing checksums should not be necessary.
MD5 Checker
Download
md5.exe Mega (Preferred) - XDA - Dev-Host - CNET [TOOL] MD5 Checker (create/compare checksum)
Directions
Open md5 checker
Copy checksum from source, usually the files downloaded page. (ex. 4ee3969a9f09117f661742470aaba379)
Paste md5 for file
Browse for file you are checking (ex. cm-10-20130113-UNOFFICIAL-daytona.zip)
If codes match you are good, if no match re-download file

If anyone has issues with DL speeds please consider purchasing a one month Filefactory premium account by following my referral link here: http://www.filefactory.com/refer/m-NRHYUov-Vxks1QQ0d75g~~
It helps YOU and it helps ME keep all firmware on one server with unlimited bandwidth allocation.
I personally have 327Mbps(40MB/s) DL sppeds from my ISP but I have found Filefactory maxes out around 115Mbps(14MB/s) DL speeds.
Just something to consider when measuring the value of our beloved devices.
Of course creation of any and all mirrors is also welcome and uninhibited.

I've installed the 64 bit version of this and get a KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (blue screen) when trying to uninstall. I've tried repairing and reinstalling without any luck. Could you help me understand the registry mods and files associated with this so I can manually remove it?
Thanks!

I may not be much help, I'm still using win 7, and Motorola Device Manager seems to uninstalls fine from win 7.
Added: Fastboot Cable and Motorola Low Battery Options
You might want to include a link to RSD Lite 6.2.4. I recently needed to flash my Moto G LTE (XT1045) and it wouldn't show up in 6.1.6, but it did in 6.2.4. There are links floating around XDA or elsewhere.
