for now I added an external filter in the rear speaker
between the Defycover and case gel
for the front filter ... appearance ideas ...

*Pics and Video* SGP Ultra Crystal Case

So the Top video is shot in HD 720P with evo and the second on high res with Qik.
But the case is fine actually and the screen protector is intrustive at all, I dont have another camera handy so cant take pics right now of it..well maybe I can use my work computer but I like it so far. I didn't put the pieces for the sides, top and bottom on, too much work but non the less looks good.
Also, I put and folded to pieces of notepad paper on battery because I hated the feeling of having that "open" space between the battery door and battery because I cant feel it depress blah.. but none the less I like it after 1 day (the Ultra Clear)

Faulty Camera?

Noticed a white fading band at the top of my camera image. Here is a screen grab where u can see what I'm taking about. It fades son its hard to tell if its even all the way across as some sort of UI design or if its my camera being faulty/ shifted out of position . Any thoughts?

Wow. I see it. Took me awhile to figure it out. My phone has the same thing. It might be normal or a theme thing. Lets see what other people have to say.
Javiggan
I have this as well, it seems more pronounced when viewed on the phone but when you look at the screengrab on the pc, you can barely notice it.
Also i tried taking a picture of what was in the viewfinder and the picture comes out as pure black, with no fading band. I'm assuming this is a software issue rather than a faulty camera or bad camera placement.
Have you noticed when you take a picture in low light and then click on the thumbnail on the right and start moving the screen around the edges of the photo go all weird ?
I also have this, I think this is just a frame around camera app.

Photojojo has developed a whole array of different lenses that utilize the ring around your Nexus 5′s rear camera lens for attaching to. There are currently several types of lenses available, including a “sampler pack” that includes three different variants, and we’ve outlined most of them below to give you an idea of what’s currently available.

Magnetic Ring Repelled by N5
I read in one of the threads here that magnetic ring has opposite polarity and is repelled by n5. Is that true?
Dont know that in true value.
I might be wrong, but this ring is a part of the optical stabilisation system of the N5, and it works based on changing magnetic values, thus it can be damaged by attaching a magnet to it ...
Thats quite a great question though

Yes it does and it will make your sensor shake violently inside the housing and could possibly damage it. I tried it and it freaked me out so I recommend not doing so.
Can you suggest any other brand which doesn't have any such problem? I really want to buy these lens.

Anyone notice distortion using front camera

I'm a photographer coming from an iPhone 5. Has anyone else noticed when using the front camera pretty significant distortion?? Please try yourself. Take a pic of yourself and see if the top of your head is exaggerated. This is my second m8 Like this. I hate to have to use software to fix it

Nevermind, I get it too. Look at my eyebrows!

The front facing camera is has a wide angle field of view to be able to capture multiple people at arm's length. Hold the camera too close and this wide field of view will cause distortion. No amount of returning phones will change this.

Right which is what I figured. They should have put some type of compensation in the software to correct distortion. The iPhone front camera is fairly wide, but doesn't suffer from this. Software can fix it. Which is unfortunate, makes me not even want to use the front camera
So had anyone got a way to fix this, I got my HTC One yesterday and noticed this distortion on the front camera? If someone could reply with a easy way to fix then please do, but if its more complex could someone possibly take my email and help me as I ain't too good with fixing issues that are complex, it's really annoying as I use the front Camera a lot.

back camera rear view trajectory fix

Hi all.
changed the back view ruler to one that i fit my car size and the location of the camera (attached a picture).
now i want to change the size of the trajectory lines that are small and not by the size of my car. They are wrong but do move when i move the steering wheel.
it looks like some one did it http://4pda.ru/forum/lofiversion/index.php?t557670-14640.html but i cant understand a thing.
is it posible? if so, how?

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm very curious to know how did you get the moving rulers when steering!
in extra settings you can check V on trajectory ruler or some thing like that its a builed in function
I've got only an option to activate the ruler, but it's fixed.
And anyway I can't use it because my camera puts it's own rulers on the image...

I had this issue, you need to replace the bg_distance.png file in the MTCBackView.apk file MTCBackView.apk\res\drawable-nodpi-v4\
Sorry, i misunderstood, wow, would be cool to have the lines move, looking at the 4pda site it seems to be a feature from the canbus for VAG vehicles?

Yes, for proper working it needs to know the rotation angle of the steering wheel, and maybe it can get it from canbus on certain veichles. I've seen that there are universal models too (you can search "dynamic trajectory rear view camera" on aliexpress) that use a gyroscope built in the camera itself to guess if you are turning and how much, but I don't think they can work very well...
