Belkin Slim Folio Stand - GT-P7510 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Accessories

I was @ local Best buy just to see what has been getting on stock and surprisingly enough I found this case and another Belkin which was leather but thicker.
I thought I should share some photos in case anyone is interested.
Price $49.99 before tax.
Material and fabrication is not what exactly I am looking for, but you don't know until you get it.
Here are some photos for you guys...

I was checking online and Belkin makes a few other colors for iPad and I am sure that they will release them for GT as well.

Sorry, but this case looks so ugly to me, I would never get it for the beauty that is Tab 10.1.

I like it, too. I actually think it looks pretty neat, but even more so, it looks very functional.
It's a shame that I cannot seem to find this anywhere [online]. Anyone other than the OP have luck finding this stand?

I have the same case. It's okay. No real issues. Just didn't want to leave my toy bare with no protection. Might switch it out sometime in the future.

I hope best buy starts selling the Samsung branded case that we all have seen in video and photos. It should be better that this one. I will switch as soon as I find a better case.
Feels little flimsy.

Is that case light grey and baby blue or black and dark blue? Not sure if the camera flash is bleaching the image a lot.

I would say is more Charcoal grey and lighter that navy and little darker than baby blue? I really like the blue but don't like my case to be blue.

i just saw a plain leather Belkin case at Best Buy. not on Belkin's site yet tho, but it looks nice

I thought I mentioned or maybe not. There were both there but leather was kind of thicker since it has more room. It looks nice and price is higher...

What I don't like about this Belkin case is that there is no magnet or velcro to keep it closed.

I really second that. It becomes very flimsy when you use it for a while. $50 for this case? I would rather buy two of the leather ones on eBay.

It has an elastic strap on the inside of the front cover that you put around the back of the device to keep it secure. So yes, it does have something that keeps it closed!

correct, but that is very old-school.

All,
I reviewed both Cases from belkin. I agree with the comments on the board. But there isnt much out there. Check out my review on the more expensive case from belkin. Its not worth the money. Doesnt seem to fit well I looked at two cases from best buy both had the same issues. And it adds too much bulk to the device. I bought a thin device and want a case that compliments it. Not one that adds significant thickness

Zenus 'Prestige' Carbon Series Stand / Case

Well, I just got this case today. It comes in black or white. I got the black one. I'd post pictures but my grandkids are here and I won't be able to do it until tomorrow.
My mini-review:
Pros:
Fit and Finish is beautiful.
Very light. Case and Tablet weighs 1lb 12.6ozs
Very thin.
(Added) The edges of the screen are not covered. Like the Samsung case there are 3 clips to hold the TAB. I don't like the way most ofthe other cases cover the border of the screen with "PU" or leather.
Cons:
TOO EXPENSIVE. It may be "worth" $85 + shipping for it's quality but for what it is it's just too much money
TOO EXPENSIVE
"Stand" is only a single position and the way it works is you have to unsnap the bottom half of the tablet from it's perfectly fitting snap on cover and rest it on the "latch" that holds locks the case closed. I have to believe that eventually the snaps will lose their tension and not tightly hold the Tablet. May be wrong there but it seems to be.
Must be opened to access USB connection.
TOO EXPENSIVE
I have six months to return it so I'm not worried.

I looked at that case but since it was seemingly 2x as thick and made from "synthetic leather" (either plastic or "PU" not sure which) I chose the other. I probably would prefer the Samsung over that one since the Samsung is very thin and lite. Also don't like the "hand strap" since it reminds me of a ping-pong paddle.
However if the quality is just as good it would be a good alternate choice for those who don't mind the thicker vinyl case.
Cut the price in half and I'll buy.

I sent it back for a refund. Too expensive and required "unsnapping" the bottom 2 clips holding the TAB to "stand" it.
Well made and excellent fit and VERY light .... but not worth it to me.

Aw, that's kinda upsetting. It sure looked like a nice case, and for some reason I'm a sucker for carbon fiber styling, but it's sad to hear about those downsides.
If nothing else, thanks for being a guinea pig on that! It was hard enough to justify that kind of money on a simple case even if it was perfect. The USB slot issue is the killer, really.

I purchased through Amazon. I went into my Amazon account and sent the "seller" a message, They have a 14 day return policy. You can also contact them through their website but if you purchased from Amazon you should email through there as Amazon keeps records of the contacts and you are protected.

BTW, it was NOT carbon fiber, it's a vinyl fabric.

Same here, I have not found any cases I would think are worth buying compared to the official one.

Just Got This Case.

EDIT; I am placing all of the pics I've posted in this thread below and removing them from later posts. This needed cleaned up plus it should make it easier for people to get a better idea of how they look when you get more than one and trade out the parts. More colors and pictures in the next few days...
I just got one of these and so far I have to say that I am impressed. The plugs that fit the earphone jack and the hdmi/micro usb ports fit remarkably well. I think that I would like it more if the colored plastic piece were a little less slippery. But it is the 'rubberized' plastic so it isn't that bad.
Another EDIT; After owning this for a few months I have to say that the plastic hasn't turned out to be that slippery at all. Just about right for staying on the dash (ish) and getting it in and out of my pocket. And I've decided it is more of a 9/10 to me. And for 10 to 12 bucks shipped, what's not to like.
Thanks garrett_tx for this Amazon link.

(Thanks to my Wife for holding the phones for me.)
Awesome, thanks for the review. I was just looking at this case maybe like 2 days ago.
Could you answer a couple of questions? -
- how good is it in protecting the phone if i drop it for example?
- how much thicker does it make the phone look?
- is it possible that the part of the case which "clips on" on the front of the phone can leave scratches?
- does it come with a screen protector?
THANKS!

Edit; Pics moved to original post.
- how good is it in protecting the phone if i drop it for example?
Not sure. Haven't dropped it yet. But as you can see it is a two piece case.
The corners are doubled up with both the plastic and silicone. So I expect the case to take the hit, and not the phone.
- how much thicker does it make the phone look?
Not much.
- is it possible that the part of the case which "clips on" on the front of the phone can leave scratches?
The silicone is between the outer case and the phone, so not a problem.
- does it come with a screen protector?
Nope.
On a side note. I am ordering another one, maybe two. I like the fact that the pieces can be mixed and matched.
Also, It is a little more difficult to use with the docks because of the flap, but not impossible.
Hope that helps.
looks like a good case and there are many cool colors combinations...
i might take one of these.
thanks!
Great review, thanks a lot. And for 2 bucks I will definitely have to try it.
Interesting. Does the silicone case feel good without the hard part?

I removed the hard part and messed with it a little. I guess it feels ok. Without the molded plastic the silicon part is pretty loose. The sides are extra loose. The ends seem ok at best. I don't think that it would just fall off or anything while holding it. But going in and out of a pocket might be a drag.
thanks I think I will buy one on amazon, price seems more interesting

Yeah, the price looks good there too. I don't have Amazon Prime so the shipping would add 3 bucks to the total. Makes it around a dollar more than the ebay price for me. Another example of why I really need to kick Netflix and get Prime...
only certain items get "prime" status, on the case i would have to pay the 3 dollars even though i have prime
just depends on the seller on amazon
I've got this case since 4days.
Good quality/price, the silicone alone feet not so good but with the hard part it's ok.

You'll like it unless you are docking the phone constantly. It will dock, just not very well. I don't dock mine much so it isn't an issue. I ended up getting the black/red and the red/black cases. Now I can mix and match, and have a totally red or black case or leave them as they are. I really dig it all red or all black tho.
so this case can be use with the HD dock too?

Well sort of... You have to hold the rubber thingy that covers the mini usb and hdmi sockets. And once you get it in the dock the fit isn't that great. Loose and wobbly, but functional. Other than that it's a great case.
I do love this case alot i have the all black one
I got an outterbox... was actually disappointed in it. I dropped my phone from about 5 feet, bobbled it till it dropped, and it ended up landing on the top side. I picked it up and saw no physical damage, but the digitizer was not responding toward the top. The notification still works, but just underneath it to about a half inch below all the way across doesn't work. Screw you outterbox!

I was looking for a battery cover to replace mine and ditch the carrier branding. I love the look of the Int. cover, how it was designed.
Anyway there are a lot of sellers for these things and they range in price from high to low. Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone was looking for one. This guy shipped INCREDIBLY fast. Like 4-5 days fast, I wasn't expecting it for at least 2 weeks.
I'm looking for a white one. The pictures seem pretty haggard from the ones I found.
Thanks for posting. I may try it out. Quality and fitment good? It says original, true OEM?
Edit - I caved. You made me do it.
Perfect fit and finish. I compared it to my original and it looks identical, actually fits even snugger. My AT&T one had the slightest bit of movement, one of the tabs didn't lock as good as it should.
You will not be disappointed. I may actually order a white myself. I was honestly shocked by how fast this guy shipped it. It was like 4 days after I ordered from China.
No way these are genuine from china?
But cheap enough... don't have to worry about scratching :good:
i'm going to order one. Just in case, i only had my phone for a few days and seen fine scratchs on mine.
I compared and really see or feel no difference what so ever. I'm extremely picky with this stuff. Seller says they are original, they look and more importantly feel original and MOST importantly fit like the original. Every tab looks the same, paint and gloss finish looks identical.
So yeah...China or not these are legit. Even if they are a copy they are an EXACT copy. Not one aspect of these parts feels or looks fake. Am I making my point?
His feedback is further proof of his quality parts.

Why wouldn't they be legit from China? The battery says "Cell made in Korea, Assembled in China" and the label beneath the battery says "Made in China"... Why wouldn't China have the spare OEM parts?

You all might think this is stupid but I'm thinking of putting a pebble back on my white sgs.
I saw a guy do it in a video review for the oem flip cover and I loved how the blue and white clashes. So this is so something I plan on doing. Minus the flip cover.

I use the above case. It does not add a whole lot to the phone as far as size or weight goes. The kick stand seems pretty sturdy as well. The rubber on the outside gives the user the ability to grip the phone without worry of having it slip through your hands. The buttons on the case protrude a bit making them easy to find by touch.
All in all a great case and it looks good with the white GS3.

The Official Samsung Mesh case is probably your best bet -- Although it doesn't have a kickstand built in, all you need is a quarter, and boom, you got yourself a 4.8 HDTV.

You can also possibly pick this phone up at AT&T as I almost did - Unfortunately, I didn't think the kickstand was very sturdy and winded up passing on it. I believe it is either $30 or $35 at the store I went too.

If you don't want to order online and just want to pick one up right away...Verizon has the same case but it comes with a Holster for $29.99

I have the same case for my S3 and Galaxy Nexus.

LOL, looks like I got ripped off! Haha. I purchased mine about a week ago and I'm not even sure if it's left china.. Scratch that, shipped through LA today. Should be here in a day or two and I'll take pics. Don't know if I'll have my phone by then or not though! Haha.
I used the case mate on my Epic 4G touch and it worked well BUT it is not slim, I tried the one for the S3 and it is just as fat. Obviously it depends on your opinion of what is fat or not but I felt like it was fairly bulky. I currently am thinking of getting a tcp speck case from AT&T and attaching a flygrip to it. If I do that I'll post again. Even though I have Verizon it seemed like the AT&T stores had best selection of cases around me (versus Sprint and Verizon plus a couple case stores, just fyi).

Completely agreed. I got the Impact Mesh myself. Very good case but relatively overpriced.
Yep if the price was like 20 man that would sell like crazy!

No pics of the case with a phone in it though, I tried it for only a short while before pulling it out in favour of the NeoHybrid.
Short review: It's a good case but overpriced. I really thought that by "mesh" the case had holes in the back, but no. There are only dimples on the inside of the case, the back is totally smooth (which I don't really like personally).
The 3DO band is thick around the case, making the device fatter (and theoretically improving the side impact resistance) but there isn't much of a lip around the front.
IMHO it's good if you want a simple see-through case with good side impact resistance - though like I said, it's relatively overpriced.

Definitely interested in seeing some photos with the actual device inserted. May I ask where you purchased it from?

Direct from Tech21. I'll try to post pics with it inside later, which is gonna be hard considering I only have 1 (digital) picture taking device.

We appreciate anything you can accomplish, if you get ahold of a second capturing device (friends phone or webcam or whateveR) if you could take a few different angles of it and try to capture the lip representation best you can that would be awesome.
I'm a bit sad to hear about very little lip around the screen, I had high hopes for this case but it sounds like it might not be that great now. So the whole case is semi flexible like a TPU case then? but its on pretty firm on the phone?

Well, it IS a TPU case. It just has an extra 3D0 ring built into the edges.
I'll try to get somebody's phone to take some pics. But it really has a very limited lip - the NeoHybrid is miles better in this regard.

I did a review of the mesh case and I'm not sure if I can post links yet, but here it is:
http://www.androiddoes.net/accessories/tech21-impact-mesh-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s-iii/
Anyway, I had a demo of the technology at CTIA in New Orleans, and they put that stuff all over my hands like they did for Phil at Android Central. It's pretty neat stuff, the orange gel, called d3o, locks up when it is struck and protects your device. They even gave me a little bit of d3o in the press kit. Anyway, it's fun to play with.
Of all the cases that I have been sent to review so far, I like the impact mesh the best. Having said that, I didn't have to pay anything for it. However, I would pay the $60 for the case, ($50 for the case and $10 for shipping) just to know that my expensive phone was protected.

AHH dude thank you for posting this.. I've been lusting after one of these since i first saw it.. I bet it would look outstanding on my white phone! I wish they weren't so expesnive though I cant really afford it at this time.. But i'm so glad to read about it..
I've always wondered if the smalla mount of orange in there would actually make enough of a difference during a drop, i mean i've seen the demo video where they throw the phone etc etc.. but those can be staged and they may not be the exact same case.. I kind of wisht hey had a 'shock' or 'vibration' sensor that was shaped like the phone that they could put in there and drop with and without the case and show much difference it makes...
but again Thank you for posting this review! i envy ya with that cool case!
No problem, glad to help.
