[Q] Minor glitches on Lite'ning 1.3 theme - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Hi there,
I'm using Lite'ning 1.3 rom and I absolutely love it. There are two minor glitches though I'm not sure are specific to my installation, maybe other Liten'nin users can confirm if they have the same issues?
I'm attaching two screenshots, in the first one you can see one of the icons do not fit the theme (green instead of blue), and the second you can see the "Data Network Mode" is not aligned to the other items in the menu.
Any ideas are mostly appreciated.
Cheers,
Tom

I got the green icon too and it's been bothering me since the first release
Data network misaligned here as well but i never noticed that until you said so

I hope LitePro is following the Themes forum too I just couldn't post this in his thread in the developer forum as I'm a new user. Thanks drunkfux.
Tom

You guys have time to waste. It wasn't a thread worth. Post your remarks and comments in the relevant thread.
A mod close this thread please.

forelli, and what would that thread be? I'm posting in the themes forum as this is a theme related issue and I can't post directly in the ROM thread as the development forum is restricted as per my previous post. It seems somebody is having a bad day.

I have the same as you

So, issues with the theming ONLY would be more appropriate in the ROM thread? Seems to make sense that theme issues would fit here since the question has zero to do with the functionality of the rom itself...
FWIW I have the same issues..

Since the rom is themed the issues pertaining to the theme are rom issues, so they beling to where the theme was issued: in the rom thread in order for the developer who incidently the themer is, to be notified. And no, I wasn't having a bad day but when I see useless threads, well, I have to tell it. Read the XDA Rules, read the mods stickies and you'll understand my point. On top of that, how do you want LitePro to be aware of your issues? He even doesn't have a theme thread...

You keep on ignoring the fact I can't post in the development forum, instead of complaining you could help addressing the issue where it belongs (or anyone for that matter).

I will upload you the fix for the settings icon, in a few min.
Hope u guys can handle with CWM?!

Sure mate, thanks for that. Would be nice if you could post it to the Lite'ning thread so maybe LitePro can include it in the upcoming 1.4 release as well.

Here we go guys,
This is: The Settings Icon Fix.
What does that fix do?
The flash .zip replace the Settings.apk in /system/app
and change the "Green - Power saving Mode" Icon to blue.
This Fix_Icon_in_Settings_Litening_v1.3.zip includes:
automatic backup of your original Settings.apk to folder: /sdcard/clockworkmod
fix the green Icon in Settings
Please flash that zip in CWM Recovery.
(no backup needed, my file make that for u )
@bazofia
The other thing with:
"the "Data Network Mode" is not aligned to the other items in the menu"
I mean come on man, u can´t be serious.
Why so niggling?
I have never recognized that before and i see no reason to handle.
Please read my signature!

Thanks, now my icons look better all in blue As per the misaligned item in the power menu... as somebody said before it seems I have too much free time to care about such a minor thing lol

great thks

Nice work ! Thank you
I'm waiting for Lite'ning Rom v1.4 and then I do it up for me.

Some of us on XDA work together as a community...
The help and advice if there if he wants it ...if not then that's fine..
The point of your post is ? ...
I agree we where all newbies at one time, even i am just getting to grips with it.
All the help you need is on this forum, dont be afraid to ask.
Re:
Sorry didnt see that you have seen the post your desktop thread, but the answer to your questions are within that thread itself.
Most of the posters have mentioned the software they have used (Launchers, widgetlocker, icon packs, backgrounds) etc. I agree its a pain to navigate through the pages looking for this kind of info but hey its wortht the effort! I am a newbie to Android too and the post your desktop thread has taught me so much, most of the software listed there is free and on the Android market too.
Personally I am using Simi clock, battery and weather widgets along with the 'Beautiful widgets'. Try these for a start.

I was hoping I could change a theme, ie the look of the icons, the fonts etc without having to flash a ROM....I have flashed ROM's before but I always found the phone to become a bit unstable afterwards. (This was on the SE X1 so perhaps it was the crappy phone rather than the ROM!!)
I can't see anywhere how to change the global icons or the global font's and things.
I was hoping you could just install/uninstall a theme...but it doesn't look like you can do such a thing.
I have Widget Locker and Launcher Pro but none of those seem to allow a total global theme...
Will Go Launcher EX enable me to do all that?

I've been looking at that thread but I can't seem to customise my phone like most people have done in that thread. There seems to be a lot of tweaking behind the scenes which is what I am looking to try but need some sort of tutorial...

Honey3d 1.1 |sense 3.0

As a favor to Samuel, I'm starting the thread for our rom. If you've got questions, this is the place to ask them.
I'll start things off with one of my own: Since I installed v1.1 and the Honey 3D Theme v1, my Market icon reverted to that rather sickly green color. Is there an easy way to get the custom icon back...maybe re-installing the theme? BTW, the first thing I did after installing the theme was to use Bloat Freezer to freeze Market Updater, so I was surprised when it reverted.

awesome...!!!!but please fix the menu text.
bad ass indeed!
I love it. Also, i think that blue looks much better than red but it's all a matter of taste i guess.
Problem is i seem to have a bug: The network signal strength icon is gray for empty bars and white for bars with signal. When i turn on the wifi then the network signal bars become blue as they are supposed to be (and wifi signal color is blue,no problem there). Also when i turn on gps no icon appears on the notification bar.
edit: also i seem to have a problem with the power button. There is no menu when i long press it, the phone just reboots
If i may i would like to request a couple of things for future releases:
A version with a center clock or maybe without a clock at all
A clear notification bar
And finally that wallpaper you are using on "preview" pics if possible
Once again, thanks a lot, i'm really anxious to see more of your work

Hi I flashed the theme everything worked but the battery lever got stuck at 100% and it was supposed to show 89% because I have other applications that show me the correct battery level. Also the phone reboots when I kept pressed the power button to enter extended menu... I reflash it and happened again. The first time I mounted system and the second just flash it... But it didn't work... Why could this happened? Excellent theme btw! Hope you can help me cause I like it very much!

Good to see your work back Rixsta. I've been giving codeworkx CM9 a try for a couple of days now, I like it apart from a storage issue. Anyway, found this theme and flashed it, like the look and its a good start.
As always I will give some feedback lol. Not keen on the background in contacts and in menus areas, could do with being more subtle to make it easier to view contacts. Finally, maybe remove the cyan. The red is stunning on its own.
Anyway guys, keep up the great work.
PS.. what cm9 you using?

Your pretty smart aint ya!!! I didnt ask for a smartarse answer and especially not from you. Also if you widen your thoughts beyond 'smartarse' thinking then maybe you could see that actually a red theme would work well and maybe the guys would develop that, dependant on feedback and demand, then name it something else. As you know, it couldnt be called Cyanored, that would be pointless. Pretty much like your comment!!

Amazing theme! Will be flashing this as soon as there's a usable daily cm9.
Keep up the good work guys
Really nice theme! Thanks!
Nice Theme but think about magenta. ;-)
Do you guys have plans for other themes? Cause I'm searching for some "theme makers", they are able to change the basic color of ICS (light blue) to another basic colour (light green for example). No other changes (original icons, original backgrounds, aso). What do you think? Are you bored enough to do this?

Chill, its all about love on this page, not hate
Some feedback:
Works great on latest build (20120217).
Detailing is really well done - blending of red/blue very nice.
For my personal taste the shade of red is a little too bright.
Battery number in status bar is not readable (maybe i need new glasses).
I couldn't see a way to change the background image for settings etc. I quite like this wall, but i'm sure people are going to want to change it.
Thanks for the good work, guys
Don't flash Cyanored on the 20-02-2012 build, SystemUI will FC. I'm working on a fix.

I'm ask here a thing: it's possible on the latest stock lollipop ROM by Sony 14.6.A.1.236 rooted to have the full black UI for System UI (Settings, call, message...)
Because I'm true annoied by the white of lollipop, and since the "night" mode isn't available on 5.1.1 , there is a way to obtain something similar?
I've inverted some screenshots from my phone for example (attached below) in my opinion true black it's wonderful for settings, phone UI and so on...
tell me which are yours opinions...and if there is a way to obtain this.
Long ago i flashed a zip you have to look for yourself.

The fonts are not included, right? Because I use customized fonts...
Can you post link to zip/thread?
Sorry for these questions..... and thank for your answer....

Dark res by Xperienced - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2642634
Be aware: 1) options in thread for stock nav bar or 4 button, 2) white borders around dialog boxes, (I didn't like, so I replaced with apktool), 3) some instances where you get light-on-white text, (you can fix if you know what files to change).
Besides that, Abo Hani has made some dark mods - http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...s/mod-dark-dark-light-systemui-14-11-t3248507

Nothing wrong with giving someone a push. It's not lazy to ask for help, but when you get it, use it... It's good to give that benefit of the doubt at first.

The spirit of a forum, first of all, is to give support.
In any case, when a person answers someone, it's because he thinks he can help that user... and the same is when one guy asks a question here.
Even though trivial, even if stupid, if one wants answers, helps a person that have dubt.
For years I have joined this forum, it's the perfect place to start from scratch and can always find someone who responds and helps you.
When I can, I do the same. If I know something, I answer and share. Because knowledge need to be shared.
Regarding this question about dark mod in particular, I was allowed to open a thread because I wanted to do a bit of clarity on this: there are several open threads, but with regard to the various problems or encounter glich graphics, are scattered in various discussions, and for me dispersive.
About your MOD, I saw that you updated the OP, and therefore the fact that it is compatible with the latest system update. So, thank you very much for this.
On KK, I use a xperia theme that do the magic by Emperor.dk (according with SuperUser MOD) that work very well.
For Lollipop, the situation it's more complex...for this I wonder if at present, it was possible to do the same with Lollipop.

Exactly
In any case, Thank you as always for all the availability and responsiveness. Thanks so much.
It would be nice if we could bring to Lollipop 5.1.1 the possibility of the "night mode" ... for me it would be wonderful.:fingers-crossed:
thank you all for the effort you put, the effort and the work to achieve all the MODs who are happy to use.:good:
