before you comment, I'd like to say that I have already tried 2.3.4 for Ace but didn't like it, battery jumps quite a lot and is laggier (maybe ram problems) so I reverted to 2.2.1 since I never had sleep of death problems.
HOWEVER, I'd like to theme it. Would somebody make a tutorial for making themes? I see that there is the UTC (theme kitchen) which simplifies things a lot but clockworkmod is yet available for our rom, I'll have to be educated in how to make an update.zip file for stock recovery first.
So guys! Help out with theming/teaching!

well it looks like i installed a theme that is not compatible with my rom, and my phone did not turn on to the OS again, so i downloaded a theme that is compatible with my rom, install it on DHD, and my phone comes to live again, that's the good thing.
the question is, do i need to uninstall the old incompatibe theme, or simply it was removed by being replaced with the new one?
is there a ay to go back to my stock sense theme, sine i dont like the new theme?

well, i'm running now the revolution DHD theme, but want to change it, back to stock or something decent with no lots of extra colors and change, i searched the forum and found the sticky themes thread, a theme named "MattedBlues-v1.6-Sense3.70-Jan20" download it, install it, but after that nothing did changed in the theme appearance, revolution DHD still there and no matted blues look, it didnt take effect, any solution, did i make anything wrong? any way to revert to stock theme?
any suggestion or help plz?

to update my problem, i 'm still on the DHD revolution theme, i realized that my camera, gps and wifi are not working, the camera make a FC always, videos are not playing.
i dont like the notification status, phone dialier and all icons.
please help me finding a theme that will give me back the original stock sense look, that comes with my DHD including:
-notification staus icons
-phone dialer canvas
-stock gray menus
-same connectivity drop down menu
...
i spent all the day searching with no luck, please any help in this issue is much appreciated.

I know you might think "Why not just flash JV1?", well for 1, there are still gingerbread issues with some apps i'm using. And we can admit that performance wise of JV1 is inferior to any of Darky's or Doc's.
I already started trying to play around framework-res.apk but I keep on ending up with bootloop. If you can share me tips on how you do your themes, i could probably resume on doing this.

I've been hoping someone would bring it over for a while now. The pulldown menu alone is far superior to the 2.2.1 version.

Pays rom it's the most used for beginners, i think (It was my first custom rom), because it have all apps that the normal users will need.
I don't think that there's a theme for it, but you can change your launcher, this will really change the look and fell of your phone (i'm using zend from barebones, you can try go launcher ex (reaaallly good), adw launcher, he launcher (simple, my second choice) and many others.

It's the best rom i have seen, beatiful. The only problem is that it's a Blur rom, so your system will be bloated with useless apps that will drain your memory, cpu and battery. But i think it's the best rom around, really, try this.
I'm using barebones 1.4 now, because i like my system clean, with only the apps that i use.

I have a little noob question. I have installed a theme (Nabeel's ICS theme), I flashed the zip, but can I just install a rom over it? Thank you in advance for your help.

First you install a ROM, boot it up at least once THEN go back into CWM and flash the theme over the ROM.
The files in the theme write over the original ROM files - that is how the theme is applied (at least through CWM it is).
If you are using CyanogenMod then that ROM has a theme chooser in it which can apply a theme without needing to use the recovery or reboot the phone.
Total noob question btw, you should do a bit more reading before messing about with your lovely device at this level - You don't want to accidentally brick it!
Thank you, but I actually meant that I had a theme installed, and if it would do any harm to just install a ROM over it. But thanks anyway. I did it and it works, if anyone is interested.
Trust me I wouldn't have made this thread if I hadn't tried for like hours here.
Something is wrong with either my methods or the rom guys.
Using slick rom which is ultrabloated.
There are simple add-ons for camera and all other stuff if one needs(g3 stock based rom)
I am not able to use g3 launcher on rom and dt2s is must for me (not notification bar but whole home screen).
I tried flashing the zip by ultralite rom guy and many other ways(simple to tough ones) but can't seem to make that launcher work on rom which is driving me crazy. I think dev has deleted a lil more than what he should have(I am no one to judge)
If someone can help me here, thank you.
