[Q] Flash games with keyboard? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Accessories

Hello, is there a virtual keyboard for flash games that require it?(arrow keys, etc)
If not, does anyone know If a cheap mini bluetooth keyboard on eBay would work?
I'm really looking for a keyboard case but I don't think that'll be out for awhile.
Thanks!

Thumb Keyboard has arrow keys. A must have IME for any tablet owner imo

Yes, but can I open the keyboard anytime and use it for something like flash games?
There is no text box to open the keyboard. :/

anyone?
I am going to go out of town so I can get this tomorrow so I was just wondering if it works.
Thanks!

Dunno. Used to be you could open the keyboard by long pressing the menu button. But it doesn't work in honeycomb :-(
You could make a really fast and ugly app that just has a webview and way to navigate to the games you want to play and give yourself a button to show the keyboard.

Hmm... not sure then. I'm still looking for a bluetooth keyboard, but might just buy the official keyboard dock.

Keyboard app recommendation?

I currently use Ultra Keyboard which I purchased. Unfortunately, there are a few quirks I've been having with it that i can no longer put up with.
One is that while filling out forms, the pop-up window with the suggested words often cover up the input box I'm working in. That's annoying. But the really big no-no for a virtual keyboard is that while I'm editing a document and I happen to look up and notice.that two characters i just typed overwrote a whole paragraph way up in the top of my document somewhere! It's unexplainable. And where is the undo? There isn't one.as far as I can see. So can anyone make.any recommendations.for.me? I find i use the arrow keys in Ultra Keyboard a lot. Is it the only program that has them?

+1 on Swiftkey
I'm a firm supporter of thumb keyboard, I especially love the layout for landscape. Very intuitive.
I have been a huge fan of Thumb Keyboard for quite some time now. Its a paid app, but worth every frikin penny! I have it on my thunderbolt and my A100!
ummmmm............ could you repeat that?
I love Thumb Keyboard, but keep getting these annoying "instantaneous double presses" that I didn't get with Thumb KB on my Transformer. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
I wish there was a way to set a delay for repeating the same button (tell they KB to ignore any same-key keypresses within a tenth of a second of each other). I also find the suggestions/auto correct not NEARLY as helpful/aggressive as SwiftKey X. If I could get SwiftKey X's software/autocorrect with Thumb Keyboard's layout, I'd be a happy camper.
Yea, that's happens to me too, but I figured out that if you type at lightening speed, you get double taps on letters, if you slow down just enough that your fingers are nowhere near the screen between touches, no double taps!
ummmmm............ could you repeat that?

Another +1 for Thumb Keyboard. Perfect for the 7" form factor in portrait, and a great layout for landscape.
I tried Swiftkey X but just couldn't get into it.
Thumb keyboard. Highly customizable.

I tried using Swiftkey X on my Acer Iconia A100 running HC (had been using this one on my old Froyo tab). But I found that in the Market search window, the characters I typed were transparent or white. I couldn't see what I was keying. So I installed Hackers and have had no issues at all.
Go Keyboard + Go Keyboard Pad plugin

Stock Keyboard way too small!

This phone is so awesome, but I'm about to lose my mind with the landscape keyboard. Does anyone know of something to help that ISNT skype or the paid ones on the market? Maybe a mod to make the stock keyboard bigger? Moto multitouch keyboard?
swiftkey and go keyboard are the best third party keyboards, in my experience.
they're larger than the stock ICS keyboard. though IMO the stock keyboard is the best one
You may buy the external connected key broad, is potable. Usually under 20 dollars. Good Luck.
For free, I would try Go Keyboard (has typing and swype abilities), also try the swype beta (google it, not on the market).
Paid, I love swift key.
Personally, I bounce between stock, swype, and swift key.
IMO, the best of them all is the stock keyboard. If you like swype you like swype. As far as regular keyboards go, you cannot beat the responsiveness of the stock ICS keyboard.
I believe the ics keyboard on the market allows you to adjust the key height. It also has gestures. There a few out there so pm me if you can't find it and I'll dig up the link.

As others have said the Go keyboard is probably the best free. I am a fan of the FlexT9 keyboard. It is kind of a mix of swype and swiftkey. Got it for free on the amazon app store. It has issues typing email address in the Gmail app for some reason.
Thanks all. I ended up buying swiftkey. Its great and all, but in the end I decided to just force myself to get used to the stock keyboard. I was spoiled by the eclipse rom keyboard on the bionic...

[Q] is there any apps where you can connect the glide with a tablet to use keyboard?

I'm searching for a way to connect my glide to my note 10.1 so it can be easier to type without the need to buy another physical bluetooth keyboard. All suggestions welcome .
Sent from my GT-N8013 using XDA Premium HD app
There was one that allowed the glide to be used as a bluetooth keyboard but unfortunately I tried it and did not work very well. It was called blue something (don't recall name exactly). Maybe it got fixed was about a year a go I tried it.

Was it a blue icon? Cos i tried out the tablet remote, and it connected easily. The problem was when I opened the keyboard and tried using special characters (/ : it just got stuck there. I heard an2an works but I haven't tried it yet.

I've heard good things about Droidmote. Haven't used it personally though.

If you have root, try LANmote.
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=lanmote
You should be able to type any characters (unicode) using LANmote.
If any special characters you type doesn't work, let me know what you did and we will fix it.
Last time I tried Droidmote, it didn't support unicode..
Sorry for the late response, I have been busy lately. Droidmote didn't work well with this phone, and neither did LANmote. But LANmote has nice features. The button mapping for the physical keyboard to my tablet is off, and has a small lag to it when typing fast. Using the buttons to move about the tablet only brings up the search bar, and pressing other buttons inputs character. Using the mouse moves the cursor, but when I click on an application, it doesn't open. I do like LANmote however. It has a simple setup feature which is easy to use.

I have used splashtop remote with my glide & pc. Havent got a tab to try it on but it works great even over the internet from anywhere.

You can always change the keyboard input mode to "Send text manually", so you type all your words first and then press enter before entire string of text are sent across to the device running LANmote.

This is obviously keymapping issue. Yes, the mouse click is also related to key mapping.
I suppose you have root on your device, right?
If you can provide logs, we might be able to see why keypresses didn't work the way it should.
As far as I know, LANmote works fine and keypresses works without issue on my Galaxy Nexus.
Does Droidmote have the same keypress issue on your Android device?
because both app use similar method, if Droidmote also have same keypress problem... the issue is likely to be with your device's OS rather than the app itself.

I am glad to know someone like LANmote.
Please feel free to put a comment on market.
We are working to improve LANmote and will have a new version as soon as we are done

[Q] Best Keyboard App ?

Using the OUYA's default keyboard with the touchpad is an aweful pain. I was wondering if there is a keyboard out there that plays well with the controller (D-Pad especially). I was able to install Google's Keyboard but it is not really better than the default one. Anyone found an alternative ?
Blue Board
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Ditto for blueboard.
is that the only one that works well for it or possibly the only one that works at current? swift keyboard?
Blue Board is an app that you put on your OUYA, and on your phone or tablet. Once you parent connect them, whatever you type on your phone or tablet pops up on your OUYA.
Blasted from my Samsung Galaxy SIII (CM10.1 Masta Mix).
Thanks !
Thanks for blueboard. Anyone has another option that does not require to switch to a tablet or phone ?
You'll never find a good option while using the controller, your best bet is to use a phone like otheres have said, or bt keyboard I suppose.
I have a couple questions reguarding this though. Does blueboard also have touch pad function? I used droidmote on my mk802 and it was great, it had keyboard, mouse, directional, media controls, even a touch gamepad mode. Has anyone tried this on ouya yet?

[Q] How to disable onscreen keyboard.. (note 8)

Bought a new zaggkeys for my note 8... the keyboard is really light and Im really enjoying typing with it... The only issue is that the Samsung keyboard is screwing everything up. I called samsung in regards to how I can disable the onscreen keyboard. The assistant was nice and walked me through to the applications and tried to help me force stop the keyboard. After a reboot it pretty much didnt work. The other problem that the keyboard causes is that if i press the Caps key on the keyboard the onscreen keyboard sees this like a weird command and it starts to display weird characters. Im thinking is there anything I can possibly do, some sort of app i can install, if i need to root so be it ill do it... if not would a rom allow me to disable the onscreen keyboard? And yeah I just typed all this with the zaggkeys and it was fluid and much better than the flumsy amazon keyboards. Its expensive but the cybermonday deal helped. Overall if i can disble the samsung keyboard this note would be the perfect tablet.
Is your device rooted? You can try to use root file explorer and Mount as rw and delete the apk file in system/apps

I just use an app from Play called Null Input Method.
Sent from my GT-N5110 using xda app-developers app
Also try Null Keyboard. Null Input Method may be preferred because it provides an easy way to switch back on the fly if needed. YMMV
