hi,guys,I got my inc2 S-OFF、Root、Recovery with chinese and network unlock！
The method to get s-off on the inc2 is not the same as incs, the S58 file is not the same. I haven't the s58 file for incs2,but today ,i found a person to get the inc2 s-off,but not to use xtc clip,now my incs2 is s-off and unlock.and can use gsm、WCDMA、CDMA SIM、USIM and UIM card，in china ，CDMA Network must use UIM Card，but he didn't tell me the method,I pay for it about 50 RMB,you can see this web，there are photos of my inc2:

XTC doesn't support the Incredible 2 yet (it supports Incredible S). So the fact that it has been unlocked is at least a step in the right direction. XTC Pay-As-You-Go might be worth the money at this point.

I'd gladly pay something to have my inc2 S-off!

why is it not promising...?

So, this might be a stupid question, but in regards to s-off, I know that up until recently on my INC (ADR6300), I did NOT have s-off on my INC, (until when I needed to flash my radio firmware so my video camera would work) and I was able to load whatever rom I wanted. Granted, I did use unrevoked initially to get perm root, so I am assuming that is the reason that we are stuck on the INC2's? (ADR6350)
Obviously, the end goal is to get S-off, but before that we would be OK (more or less) if we could just write to /system, right?

It isn't promising because he took it to somebody else who looks to have used a hardware clip to unlock it, whereas we're looking for software solutions.

in that sense, then yes... looks like it. but i was pretty ready to get a clip to get it working. the way i see it, as long as we are not too far behind IS's root development, then it's good news

It reminds me of the dss days. People would pay alot of money for "Special hardware and software" to unlock. Then a few months later a cheap software update would come up for free to everyone. Lets just hope this is how it goes with the new lock downs companies are implementing with their new phones.

there is no software to crack s-on. you need an xtc clip, or find a shop with one to make it s-off.

is s-off or s-on in bootloader? can we copy it from s-offed phones?

Hardware only for now. Unless you can convince the alpharevx team to try and crack it.

Like I said before, try and convince the alpharevx team to try again. They tried once before but couldn't unlock it due to the hardware.

Sometimes I'm really wondering if these topic starters actually take the time to search/read through the existing threads in these forums..
I only recently registered but have been lurking on these forums ever since i got a winmo quite a few years ago. Ever since i've been amazed by the ignorance of some of the people that show up in these parts of the interwebs..
My 2 cents.
On Topic: Yeah, unfortunately it's XTC-Clip only at the moment. But imho you could have figured that out if you would have done even a tiny bit of research before you blindly bought your WFS

I totally agree, I check in everyday only to be greeted by the same old questions in a brand new thread
There is a search facility on this site, I wish more people would use it.

I second you

Looks like the XTC-clip is coming down in price and with unlimited unlocks, doesn't that mean that just one of us needs to get it and then use it to unlock everyone else's phone?
At $10/person we pay for the $100 clip in 10 phones. I'll do it if people don't mind sending me their phones for a few days to unlock them.
Am I crazy, or can't I just order one for $55?

I think people are already doing this via eBay - check the 'XTC Clip Group-Buy' thread. Europe only though, not sure.

Anyone in the West Midlands area (UK) with a clip? Willing to pay and travel - phone is doing my nuts in - can't install anything cos of low memory and I have 15M left.
Gonna bin the thing if I can't put some lighter firmware on it!

Try an unlocking shop, one of them is bound to have an xtc clip.

Yeah, I'm all S-OFF'd now so ready to try some new ROMs.

Talk to the guys from revolutionary one of them managed to help someone on the incredible s forums flash a custom Rom and recovery while still having s on.
1. 16 hBoot on Inc s had the same issue as you guys.
Seriously might be worth looking into

guys the problem is when u buy this XTC u used only once and after that u dont need it coz u finish what u want.......and allso if like some friends say : buy and unlook the other friends phone it is verry hard to collect the phons and put them at ur house its because we are all not in same contry or same aria ,,,,right??

To be honest I purchased the debrand pack out of curiosity, basically a micro SD card with a zip file.
From memory I think it was a pre made gold card.
No need to buy it.

No don't buy it.
You can debrand without s-off if you do your research and check the shipped roms thread.
Just get the clip.

hey guys does anybody has xtc clip in delhi-gurgaon..??

Because the xtc clip is used by many devices you're probably going to be more likely to find one in the marketplace board. I believe there is an 'xtc clips around the world' thread floating around somewhere aswell, but it may be quite outdated.

I think it's in the Incredible S forum

if u wanna unlock the bootloader, u can also do it by heading down to the HTCDEV site & following the steps for the device..
however, if u MUST use an XTC clip, i am sure u can find it in most mobile shops that sell accessories, etc..

I found one in Gaffar Market. I don't remember which shop but there was a guy who said he can do it.. Better check it out... I didn't use it coz my phone was off for service at that time and then HTC unlocked bootloader..

S-OFF is possible

This is only a general question to all of you​
I'm thinking since two weeks to ask the community if there is an interest to get S-OFF on the HTC One X device.
BUT!!!!!!!
We need to buy some hardware for this - and that's the main problem.
We have found an option to S-OFF devices but to cover the cost's we need to charge 20 Euro for each device (include shipping)
Currently there is no other way to make it possible and it seems HTC will not release something for doing this.
We have done a test on a HTC 8 and HTC One X device and it's working. From this point of view I guess we can cover almost every HTC device. But this is a different story. Even my own device is still S-ON.
The Plan:
We will create a page where you can order the S-OFF option for almost EVERY HTC device. You can pay via PayPal or add the money within your shipping package.
We was trying to make a remote solution but this is not working at the moment but I hope we can release this within the future. At the moment we have no chance for some tests. Why? Because of the missing hardware
The next problem is that you need to ship the device to GERMANY. We will make it S-OFF and SuperCID it which will not revert when you flash it and ship it back on the same day.
Bevore we do the invest and starting with all the things which are required, I want to ask all of you if you are interested about this.
At the moment we are all not happy about this solution and I'm not a friend of this way. But it is a way and we hope HTC will think about S-OFF within the future.
My question to all of you:

You didn't provide any evident that you or your team are able to S-OFF any HTC device. Moreover, you even mentioned that your own device is still S-ON.

No, I am not interested in s-off when it costs me 20 euro and having to ship it to an anonymous person who said so on internet.
My max amount for a real s-offing is 5 euro and giving that s-off-ing is instantly.

Sure, don't care about the fact possible or not.
It's just a question if we can cross charge the cost. This is what I want to see, 5 Euro is an example. But with this price we would need round about 800 (!) devices.

But this is not the problem. When we can expect the ROI and we will buy the hardware my phone will be one of the first devices

This is the HTC way... Would be the same if I say people to XDA send ur phone. I get the javacard en s-off all the devices...

I know... But it makes no sence to me to buy equipment for 4000 Euro to unlock my device and trash everything after I have S-OFF.
On the second hand it makes no sence to me to unlock my device because no one is able to support unlocked devices. (F***K)

Given that we cannot prove if it's true or not, and required shipping my device to an anonymous person in another nation, there's NO WAY I can risk it and 20 euro.

I have no Problem with the 20€, because there are many Tools/Mods which need S-Off and this is worth it to me.
And when a trusted Member of XDA is the Person, who will recive the Phone, I will also have no Problem with that.

He is currently not able to s-off anything. I think he wanted to collect the money ,so he can buy some sort of JTAG/Flashbox. Although I don't know what costs 4000 euro!
Anyway this misleading thread. I'd recommend the OP to ask any mod so they close it.

Like Xmoo said, this method is known for a long time. But without a remote solution it is no option for me. I'm not going to send my phone to Germany. Main reason: I simply need my phone. The money is not the problem, I would pay 20 euro in a heart beat for S-Off.

Don't care at the moment if it's working. This is not the question if it is working. Be sure, wenn we have it, we will release this here at XDA.
We also was thinking about this "S-OFF Drive-In" solution and be sure even this will be possible.
Come, S-OFF, enjoy & Go!
We don't have a problem to do it within this way.
Right now I want to know if someone else would pay for this. Not to become rich, just to cover the invest!

The solution!!!!
We also could open a project like "bread for the world" and try to collect the money. Maybe within 5 years we got it
We are dealing since weeks on this. But if you start the project "S-OFF for the world" I also would spend 10 or 20 Euro's for this. But this will be not a solution when I will be the only one idiot who will spend for this project.
Give me a other solution and we will do it.

i would pay for s-off too, even fly to germany \o.

Well I live I am germany, but not in Munich but in nürnberg. But I am not really willing to take that way as I have not much time in general.

I would:
a) never pay for S-OFF as I can do all I need to do with S-ON (little extra effort but SAME result at the end of a day)
b) never send my phone to a complete stranger even in my own country
