Highly recommend this stand. - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Accessories

Folds up easily , sturdy , both portrait or landscape.
Would be nice if it was a bit thinner when folded.
This is onsale. May consider it if it folds relatively flat and keep the above at home.

+I agree . darn good and adjust to just about any tablet. extremely stable too.

Those stands are so good, I think Tablet companies should strike a deal with Arkon and give them away with their devices. Increases the usability of a tablet tremendously. Sure beats trying to prop your tab up on a pile of books.
After I bought the first one, I bought 2 more and put them in the drawer as backup if I lose or break the first one. Really great product.

Another + for the Arkon. I have 2. I also bought a Twelve South Compass stand knock off on dealextreme.com because it was slimmer, but I actually like the Arkon better because it's so light and many more viewing angles.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I
'm debating these two stands right now. You say the arkon is lighter than the comasps stand? And how much bulkier is the arkons stand?
And if you don't mind - do the pegs at the bottom of the compass get in the way of typing? They look really long...

the twelve south knock off comes in at about .4 inches thick and the Arkon measures 1.2" thick. The twelve south weighs a good amount more because it's made out of metal.
The legs don't really get in the way at all from my experience.

Amazon won't ship this to my adress in Europe. A shame, I could use an affordable stand and this one sounds decent.

Can you take a pic with the charger connected?

Acase Leather case for Xoom

I got tired of the rooCASE that I recently purchased so I picked up an Acase from Amazon. The case is pretty much the design equivelant to the plastic Motorola unit but this one is made of buttery soft black leather that smells like a new pair of shoes. It feels great in your hands and provides verly little bulk. Open, aside from the tabs keeping the Xoom in place, the bezel remains incovered. With the rooCASE, dust constanly got under the covering and drove me nuts. There are cut outs for the volume, headphone jack, camera, and power button. The only problem I see is mounting to a dock, you would have to remove the case to do so.There is no snap closure either but rather a curved piece at the top which works well. Fits inside my rooCASE prefectly for travel.

How stable is the lowest viewing position? i have heard that the xoom slides out very easy???
Been thinking about this one for a bit. Looks great, but I have the same question about stability in the 3rd position.

i see that kevikev guy on here has a carbon fiber version of this case that has the improved slots has anyone tried that one? he also has a lower priced litchi leather one that is a lower price that states that the lower angle is not that stable thus the lower price im thinking about getting the carbon fiber one, it looks different and i like the look,
How long took the shipping to you? I'm thinking about to order it to our california headquarter so that my collegues could bring it to Germany when they travel back after this week...

I also have this case and I have to say: "I love it". But yes, the lowest vieweing angle doesn't support well the weight of the xoom, and it easily drops then. But the other two angles work quite well. All in all, the size of the xoom + acase is perfect and it is easy to take out from your backpack, check whatever on the xoom, put it down somewhere. Ahh, and I got mine for only 14$ in Amazon. I don't know if they still have at this price.
Best,
my only complaint
Yes, just like the Motorola case. What I do not like is that all of the ports on the underside are covered when the case is closed. So it has to be opened and lay flat to charge. And you must have it open to plug in headphones.

Sorry for such a delayed response. The third position is not very stable, it falls with a light touch. First two are okay though.

I paid for next day shipping because I hate waiting for things but since the order is fulfilled by Amazon you will get it rather fast depending on when you want it. 2 day shipping I believe is 10-15 bucks. Mine shipped from Lexington Kentucky.
Thx, but I've already got mine on monday.
My boss brought it to Germany when he came back from a visit of our company headquarter in San Francisco. I've ordered it to that office on Amazon.com before, costs are €33,83 incl. 2-days-shipping ($34.95 w/o shipping).
I'm really satisfied with it, fits much more better than the LuvTab and doesn't bloat it so much.

This review is from: Acase MOTOROLA XOOM High Quality Premium Slim Leather Case Folio with built-in Stand for MOTOROLA XOOM 32GB, WiFi and WiFi +3G & 4G (Black)
This is a very well constructed eye appealing product. The stitching, the simulated grained leather, the die cut panels to access camera/speakers and power button, are all very well executed. But the flaw is in the design. Specifically, the grooves that enable the Xoom to be placed in three upright posistions are too shallow to support the Xoom, and it will consistently collapse to a flat horizontal posistion when touching the screen. For instance, in the 3rd product image that they display in the ad, it appears that someone is touch typing at an angle. When attempted to duplicate this posisition, the Xoom imediately collapses to a flat posistion. The only way to prevent the collapse is to keep pressure on the base of the Xoom with both thumbs.( Note in the 3rd display photo, the thumbs of the user are not visible ) If you compare this product to the depth of the ridges in the Motorola plastic OEM folio, the Motorola ridges appear to be, perhaps twice as deep, and does not suffer from the collapsing issue. In short, based on my singular experience, if you're looking for an eye candy type case, ACASE is it. But if touch typing on an angle is a requirement, then this item will not perform satisfactorily.

[ REVIEW ] VIPERTEK Leather clip case quick review

This case is very nice. Especially for the price of under 15 bucks shipped. The leather is very soft, almost feels real haha. Might be... The clips are very secure, they do not block any ports, speakers etc. There is a nice "friction" styled clip that holds great closed. The different angles for viewing the tab are great too, very solid "lock up". The interior material is soft too.
In the end, you cant go wrong with this case.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005G19P7M
Not for Italy....thank you amazon!
I got it for $10 shipped from Amazon, and they are offering to refund the whole thing if you leave a review.
I don't think they are doing it anymore...
Sent from my Galaxy Tab!
I got my case yesterday, been waiting since August 24th or something for it lol. It was on backorder, but I got a paper saying if I did a review (not a 5 star.. I says just a review) I could get a refund. I will say I like this case a lot better than the Samsung one, for the main reason it has more angles. It does feel a bit more rough on the tab, but I like how all the ports/buttons are showing.
If you just need a case to hold your tab at angles while you use it, I think this is the cheapest case out there for it.
The Samsung official book case is very very nice, and super thin. But the viewing angles are horrible. I have this case on the way and will be going with this one for sure.
I just got a Galaxy Tab last week (gift from awesome girlfriend...) - ordered a 3 pack of screen protectors (Acase, not too bad) and this case on Amazon.
Ordered the case on Thursday, had it by Saturday (Amazon Prime). Looks like some people were waiting quite a while to get these.
I was hoping for a case that was made of fairly tight leather... you know how some cases look cheap because the leather is very poofy, has a lot of extraneous padding in it? So, this case still retains a slim sleek look, like a nice portfolio.
I like the microfiber inside with the three grooves for leaning the device into.
I wish the clip that held the case closed was like 2mm longer so it really reaches around the corner of the device and clips in solidly. It's held closed pretty well, but I've been bending it a bit to make it clasp just a bit tighter.
There's a little embossed viper logo on the front... some other brand on Amazon, equally cheap, had the Samsung logo on there.
In all, pretty great case for about $15 shipped.
The card I received in my package did instruct me to write a five star review for them, but DID NOT mention anything about getting a refund if you do so. I would say don't buy expecting to get it for free
I also just recieved this case. It's pretty slick, way better than the cheap eBay case I was using before (which cost twice as much.) Only complaint is that the case was mighty stinky to begin with, but its fine now.
this case is awesome and is way better than the official Samsung one. it did cause the newton ring, but I got rid of it. going to see if this trick works to keep the ring off.
This case is just superb for the price.

This case has been reviewed several times, although under different names. Search for "clip case." I got it free (after the refund). For me it's the best case on the market right now.
just ordered one of these just to have another spare. 15 cases to my collection. i really need to stop. this is getting ridiculous. lol.
Hahahah! You, sir, have what we call a case-by-case addiction!
These are exactly like the Pyro one you reviewed a while back. Can't beat the price though.
I agree, it's like the Pyrotek case. It looks a bit on the cheaper quality side, but I got it because I was tired of the wonky angles the official case was giving me.

So the only difference between this case and the Pyro case is that this one feels cheaper? It feels pretty nice to me. The price is just untouchable though. lol
I always wondered what the difference between this and the pyro case was.
yeah haha I dont know how come can consider this cheap lol price yeah but quality? Its pretty much to go to case for the tab. Its 15 bucks shipped, looks great, feels great, quality and craftsmanship is nice too.
Its just another case with the crappy stand design. Its not worth it. Look at the massive foot print it has when in stand mode. How can you use the device on your desk when the bottom case sticks out at you like a sore thumb. Very annoying.

I made my assessment from looking at task650's review on the Pyro Skin case.
When I look at my case, the clips that hold in the sides of the tab have so overlapping of the material (which I just trimmed off) the material that the tab stands up on for the angles has this grainy look on it, whereas on the pyroskin one, it looks smooth. There's the little notches on the 2nd stand that the pyroskin case has, that looks like it may promote a tighter close, where on this case the side clips just press onto it. Although all these observations could possibly be exclusive to my case.
That's what I made my observations on. I'm not saying it's a POS... because it's not; i'm just saying the quality LOOKS a bit on the cheaper side... which is fine by me because it was cheap as hell and it does it's job awesome.

I might consider it ON a case, but I wouldn't want to stick anything on the phone itself. For one thing, it wouldn't fit in my car or desk dock.
Does it come with extra adhesive pads? If not, then what do you do if/when you get a new phone?
Attached this to the outside of a case, and it is GREAT.
I am a cyclist, and I have ruined phones by dropping them off the bike. I can now ride and use a phone if needed. (Yeah they say texting and driving is bad xD)

It comes with one extra sticky pad.
I'm considering getting this but all of my phones have extended batteries with the extended back piece :/. I'll just get one for my brothers iPhone I guess lol.
Wow that really does look pretty handy. I am wondering if I cam modify my rugged case to fit this without adding any thickness. it just might be thick enough (My case) I would have to cut out the cases kickstand but this acts as a kickstand so I lose nothing.
but man $30 is steep for that.
It comes with one extra sticky pad. Flygrip. The one handed solution. This sounds like a smartphone pr0n fapping device. One hand to hold the phone, the other to grip your fly.

I was thinking the same for such a simple device, but it looks well made. I'm betting it could be redesigned to be even thinner than 1/4" thickness which isn't all that thin.
Agreed 1/4" is almost as thick as the phone itself.
Machine this bad boy out of aluminum or even Titanium and make it 2-3mm thick at most and I would eve pay $40 for that one.
Problem is if that outer piece gets too thin it could bend/sheer/snap. It looks like it has a thick glossy paint coating to top it off which looks nice and may add to the durability. Using those metals may even add to the price and you'd be paying $40 or more.
I'm finding more and more often with the epic 4g touch less and less hands on experience when it comes to accessories. Best Buy has only one case I'd even consider buying (platinum series case) and Radio Shack only has full enclosure cases that go on your belt. Not really digging that solution. I may just invest in a Flygrip, how long is the free shipping good for?
I know and $40 to $45 would be fine if it was say titanium (it would be strong enough that thin) and at minimum half its current thickness. ie around 2mm would be nice. maybe 3mm.
as it stands its a lot of money for an awful thick piece of plastic. (relative to the size of the phone)
Good idea, too big for me though.
Sent from my Samsung Epic 4G Touch.
Thanks for the review. Looks awesome, but wouldn't be able to put the phone on a car dock or desktop dock after you put the Fly grip on I'm assuming...
Just purchased on of these. Cant wait to get it.
I am kinda worried about the car dock thing though since I've been seriously considering getting one. I thought that magnetic dock in the other thread was pretty cool, but after having this IDK if it would work.
it would not be all that hard to modify the car dock to work with the Fly Grip if you positioned it properly.
If you do the tilt insert method ie you don't slide the jack slider up and down this might work.
get another dock of any kind (one of the cheap ones on ebay for $6) just so long as it has the depressed section with the 4 holes for the universal quad mount.
you glue it onto the back of the vehicle dock. making it THICKER.
now you have enough depth to "cut" a hole into the vehicle dock large enough to encompass the flygrip.
and there you go. vehicle dock and flygrip. it is 1 2 3 ? no but its doable.
BTW discovered the kickstand built into my case works almost exactly and just as effectively a flygrip.
I was contemplating how to cut a hole in my case to accommodate a flygrip adn it hit me ahh just use the kickstand already on it -)
I will make a video tommorrow.
30 dollars is WAY too much for this thing...10-15 dollars at the most, but no way for 30 dollars..
I got one on the way thanks for the heads up qbking77! I think this is perfect for people with 4 inch+ phones.

Review: "Grid" exercise armband works with cases!

If you search for "galaxy s3 grid armband" on eBay, you'll find it. I bought from "wanghaostore".
It's also listed under other names, you can search further under "galaxy s3 sport armband" once you know what the auction picture looks like.
The armband came a bit folded in half probably from shipping, I need to set something heavy on it to flatten it out....
Fit
The armband fits really good. All the buttons are accessible. You can change the volume while running, as well as easily access the ports and power button.
The armband also works with cases! As you can see in the last picture I have my diztronic TPU case on it.
Feel
The material is a little scratchy, but overall it's comfortable and will stay put on the arm. It's a tech-fabric material with what looks like a nylon weave "cushion" underneath.
It should be pretty sweat-resistant, the material where the phone sits is neoprene, so it shouldn't absorb sweat or scratch the phone.
The strap length is a bit on the short side. It fits for me, I have 13-14 inch biceps. It could probably go up to 19-20 inch biceps, but beyond that you might need a different holster. Smallest it could go is probably around 11-12 inches.
Usability
I always have problems with the plastic screen protector on armbands bubbling up. With this one the case stretches it, so I can easily use the phone while its on my arm. I don't anticipate issues being able to slide or use Pandora.
The main benefit of the armband is also its biggest detriment: All the ports are exposed. Don't plan on using it in the rain. But for a sunny day, or indoors at the gym, it's a great holder.
Price - $1.99 + $1.50 shipping on eBay.
So buy 5, so you can replace it if it becomes stanky from sweat.
Good review. Do you think it will fit those with extended batteries with a tpu case?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Maybe. Its thick enough, there's plenty of vertical space.
My friends phone with incipio silicrylic case fits. Bit tight (width-wise, height has plenty of room),
May even fit with otter box.

Ah, yeah, same here. I was pleasantly surprised, I would say it is the best armband on the market right now.
It may not work with extended battery + TPU case (depends how thick), but I'm fairly confident in saying it'll at least work with the extended battery.
There are a lot of complaints about the Belkin armbands absorbing water/sweat.
I had the iArmbands style for my last phone, they suck.
I might get one of the iGadgitz or CrazyOnDigital type for rain, but this will be my primary-use one, since I don't have to take off the case.
Looks like it's $4. shipped now.

I've thought of this too. I'm intrigued by the Tetrax and whether it would be stable (mostly because I've been thinking about getting one for my car).

It'd be interesting to get one of the FIX connectors and epoxy it to some sort of strap, like the TuneBand.
Or you could get a cheap case and make your own TuneBand
Is this the same armband? http://www.amazon.com/JKase-Armband...&keywords=armband+galaxy+s3#productPromotions
Much rather do $10 for 2 day delivery then have to wait. But the bigger question is, do you think SGP Neo Hybrid case fit (well that is, not ridiculously tight!)? http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-Protection-Protector-International/dp/B008MEIQHA

Wrong button, enjoy the thanks.
NO. That is not the right one.
I actually bought that one through eBay, it sucks. The one I got, the phone doesn't fit in it (not even without the case, it kept pressing the volume button). And the strap is huge, the arm band wouldn't fit on my arm. I ended up throwing it away.
As far as the arm band goes, it should easily fit with the SGP Neo. The diztronic, despite being thin on the back, is quite thick around the sides.

Has anyone tried China made Book Cover case for Galaxy tab 10.1?

Hey everyone,
I've been looking for a nice case for my galaxy tab 10.1, and I found that there is a case called Book Cover, officially from Samsung. But it is way too expensive (imo) for just a case for a tablet, so I found a Chinese version of the book cover on eBay.

There are more listing for same product by this seller, and quite a few have been sold. I have ordered one as well, but I'm curious if anyone knows how good/bad it is. Like the quality, weight, and how close to the official Samsung book cover, if you've seen one.
I think it'll take a least a month for it to arrive, so I can't leave any feedback before that.
I would like to hear what you guys think, if you have this OR not.
Thanks!
Love the black book cover case (official Samsung) on my tablet. I wonder if these variants will be the same. Visually, they seem identical from the pictures.
I received the case from China, and it seems good. Fits my tab 10.1 well, and it even has Samsung logo on 2 spots.
One thing that I'm disappointed about is that it seems like it's impossible to stand the tablet upward for watching movie or something? I don't know about official case by Samsung, but it doesn't stay upright. And there is no way for this to stay upright. I have no idea how the official one works. This one does have 2 rubber feet on one side too, but the other part that holds the tablet upright is slippery, so it falls.
I don't really care that much about that though as I don't want movie on it much, and it' hard to type while standing it upright, so I prefer it at the typing angle, which works very well.
Although the rating of the seller isn't the best, I received mine in about 2.5 weeks. I'd say it's pretty good, as it usually takes more for me when coming from China. And it was shipped out one day after I paid for the item. Of course, I don't know about your order..
Overall, I recommend this product and the seller.

On my Samsung case, the edge of the case (connector side) is rubberized. The opposite edge, with the flap folded under, is also rubbery and provides enough grip to stand up on a desk or on my lap.

Hmm thanks for letting me know. I think for this one, the part where the flap is is not rubbery. So it cant stand. I guess this is one disadvantage of buying this fake one
Ill still use this as its not a big deal for me, but others should be noted!

I'm from China, the pricing seems to be in luxury range for a thing produced in China.
$13 dollars means 80RMB, which is the daily income for middle class Chinese.
The bright side is the quality is probably good, which is what you can expect from a 80RMB product in China.
But the material may not be genuine leather, which happens a lot for products under 200RMB in China.
Looks, functions and feels like the official ones
Looks very nice. I like that it's a lot slimmer than my case, and I would buy it if I could charge the tablet with the case fully on and closed like I can with my case:
