Get me some Sense - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Its too bad n dissapointed to see new Sense based Roms come up everyday for every HTC phones except for the Buzz. A few tried on bringing sense 2.1 but ultimately discontinued (sfm 1.1) their development or came wid many bugs (wildpuzzle). I know dat the Wildfire's not goin to be Buzzed again. But someone please work out in bringing a sense 2.1 rom with bugs free n perfectly resized one, which can be used as a daily rom. I guess its everyone's last dream. Please,"Sense 2.1"

[Q] new sense

anybody can port new htc sense in wildfire just like in wildfire s and in desire hd
thanks in advance
This topic has already been discussed, and it is unlikely the port will happen, because of differences in the screen resolution.
Would love to see it happen but I doubt it, would like to be proved wrong!
It might not even boot :S
How about making 2.3 sense with qvga htc apps from 2.2.1 ota? it might not be sense 2.1, but it's a good start!

2.3 brought tons of framework changes. I bet HTC would've made plenty of changes to their framework because of this. Since htc apps are heavily dependant on the HTC framework files, I doubt this would work.
IMO 2.3 has enough of a graphical overhaul from froyo to be better than sense. I personally don't find any functionality in HTC apps which I can't have in cm7, but maybe that's just me.

I tried yesterday to get the wildfire s rom to boot and it was not having it, the wildfire s has support for VFP which the wildfire doesn't which could be the culprit, i got so far but libskia.so was being an ass and having i/o errors and when i replaced it netd stopped working.
how about HTC flyer unlock screen? It Is a must I think

Attention everyone, new sense is now being developed by dannne_jo, it doesn't work yet but you can follow it's progress on the Wildpuzzle 2.3 New Sense thread!
framework-res.apk. My greatest enemy. Lol.

Just one Desire Z Rom developer ?

Guys is it just me or there is just one developer for desire z sense ROMs.... that's rmk40 .... all the other developers are for g2 or cyanogen ROMs... ie non sense ROMs.....
It's a shame cause desire z and desire hd were released together and hd forum has so many developers for sense ROMs and we have just one developer stock sense that is .
Virtuous ROMs are really good ROMs but multiple developers are needed for healthy development of ROMs...

Sensation Rom for desire HD

Is there a HTC sensation Rom that works on the desire HD?
If it dose is there lots of bugs and should I wait for a bit?
Plenty of sense 3 and 3.5 roms in the rom section.
You should check out Virtuous Unity which is a port of the Sensation. I'm running the latest which is 2.37 and its been nothin but fast and smooth with virtually no bugs. I highly recommend it.

This modaco one is meant to be pretty close to stock version of the new DHD official sense 3.0. I assume you want an official sense 3.0 ROM? It has some changes that are listed:

Will dhd get an official but slightly changed sence 3.0 Rom from HTC?

My understanding is that it wont, Paul form Modaco had quite a time squeezing the sense 3.0 onto the DHD, saying that they got the last sense rom onto the Desire so don't give up just yet.

I'm not sure what you mean by slightly changed?
Eventually it will be released by HTC as an official update (I assume, if they went to the effort of making it?).
The new ARHD, Leedroid and few others are based off the official DHD 3.06.405.1 which is Android 2.3.5 plus Sense 3.0 (designed for DHD) which is from HTC.
That modaco one I linked to before uses the same base as these other roms but is much closer to stock.
Slightly, stuff missing from 3.0 on sensation because HTC say it can't work. I know that was a leak but it shows intent for an official update.

[q] htc wildfire with sense 3.0 or 3.5..???

Hey guys,
I'm quite bored of CM7...
I was jus wondering if there is a stable and fully functional rom for wildfire with sense 3.0 or 3.5..??
I could seriously use some help.. n I guess there are many others wanting something like this..!!
Pls help..!!
yeah i'm looking for something similar
same here, unless CM9 come to wildfire
Can you please search the forums first and then post such questions.. there are number of post regarding this already for which the answer is there is no stable Rom for your requirements.

Sorry no Sense 3.0 for Wildfire as the device fails to meet the roms requirements..Sense 3.5 development for Wildfire was started but was discontinued as devs r busy with ICS..Try Sense 2.1 by Vigidroid

I'd say its the other way round, sense 3 runs fine (it was just never intended for a wildfire) so I'd say the rom doesn't meet the requirements of my device.

Most are using Gingerbread. Some are on ICS. Any user who is still on Froyo at this point probably doesn't have any idea about rooting and or XDA or just wanna be left alone in the past.
No need for a poll or a thread really.

Ye.
Best rom thread with a flavor twist.
I'm on ICS now (miui v4)
MIUI 2.3 working perfectly
ICS too ! With the rom of dk_zero-cool.
Everything runs fast on my old device
would be interesting who is still on 2.1
I think that was the shipping version, right?
Still using xj miui 2.3
Currently on off GB, downloading runnymede's sense 3.5 rom

I'm on Miui ICS... !!! Best ROM ever
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
I'm using ICS from DK_Zero-Cool (v3.3u1). Most stable one i've experienced until now
MIUI XJ since New year, probably will try with some Sense ROM soon
I'm still using CM7.2 RC1. Very stable and fast.
Could anyone explain to me why everybody is so hyped about ICS? I mean I appreciate what the devs of ICS ROMs do and it's great that they make ICS possible on our old Desires.
I tried Sandvold's ROM and BCM. They're quite good and making good progess, but I always came back to CM7.
I actually don't see a point in switching to ICS (yet) unless you like flashing and testing new ROMs, because CyanogenMod 7 and other 2.3 ROMs seem more stable and faster and they have all the features ICS offers.
Is it the looks of ICS or just that it's new and you want to test it?
I'll probably switch over eventually, but at the moment I'm just curious what you like about ICS.
