I sent 'em an email about 4 days ago... this was their response:
"We do not have any information if a case will be made at this time for that device, but it is something that has been requested. I have submitted a product suggestion on your behalf, and recommend keeping an eye on our website, as it will have the most up to date information on any new releases that we may have."
Wow thanks maybe I should call and email as well. Hopefully they will get the hint and make it happen.

Yeah def. to anyone who reads this thread head over to otterbox.com and send em an email saying you'd like a case made. They make high quality stuff.
Never had an Otterbox case but i know they are thick. And pricey.
Just replied. And as pricy as they are look up on youtube. Otterbox car and iphone. A friggin car runs over an iFail and the phone stays in tact. Its super restive from what i heard and also i hear the build quality is AMAZING! As thick as it is its worth it. Plus OG smartphones are thick arent they? Not only will it pretect it itll make your anerexic vibrant into a smartphone

Hi, I am emailing you in regards to the International and US carrier specific versions of the Samsung Galaxy S series phones. I'm just asserting my interest in purchasing a Defender series case if you were to launch a line for the Galaxy S.
In my opinion, I believe the Galaxy S series phones to be a good investment for a high end phone case manufacturer such as yourself. My opinion is due largely to the sheer number of phones that have been sold already; since launch totaling over 1 million units. Also, I've found a large percentage of the international variant of the Galaxy S were bought outright with out carrier subsidy, and with prices ranging from $599-800 on average I would imagine that most of those people would want to amply protect their investment with a ruggedized case such as yours. Another advantage to the series is that the International and US Carrier specific versions of the phone are very similar in form factor, thus minimal retooling and design changes would be necessary to make the case work with two of the US carriers, and with the International version to a certain degree. In actuality, the US specific versions such as T-Mobile Vibrant and Verizon Fascinate are practically identical externally and the capacitive touch buttons on the face of the phone will, I trust, lend themselves well to the simple and robust protection that the Defender series can provide. Honestly, after seeing the success you've had with the design of the hardware "Home" button on the face of the iPhone cases, I could see something very similar as easy to implement for the international version of the Galaxy S.
Although I believe that the other two US carrier specific versions of the phone would be less profitable to design a Defender series case due to their irregular shape and slider design respectively, I think they would still lend themselves well to the commuter, impact, or tandem line of cases.
Sorry if I seem to ramble on, but I'm very excited to see an offering from Otterbox for the Galaxy S line, and I see it as a great opportunity for you the manufacturer and I the consumer to be mutually benefited by a superbly designed and executed case offering from your company.

Just sent them a message too. I waited forever to see a US release for the HD2 but it never happened. I hope something shows up for the Vibrant.
I mailed them too.
Got the same cookie cutter responce everyone else has.
I have a feeling they will cave in and make one....but it might take some time for it to show up

Just sent a message. I will also make a post on the other forums I frequent, asking everyone to send Otterbox a message.
I hope they'll heed our requests for a case. I really like the quality of the iPhone cases they make.

We are currently working on a case for this device. I recommend keeping an eye on our website or Facebook page where we will be sure to post more information as soon as it is available. Generally it takes approximately 2-4 months for a case to developed once a device is released to the public. Customer Service finds out about new case releases the moment they are posted to the website
I was just checking their website yesterday to see if they've come out yet. They are at the end of their "development" time. Didn't take long for the bastards to come out with a Captivate case.

ok guys.. some bad news.. Talked with Matt2 on a business level and after i went over some figures with him, my calculations were so far off.. i should be on mars..
The break even point for this project is 275+/- 10/12 extras.
I have been saying 150 and I am not sure where I got that unless I was not calculating the shipping since I did free shipping.
We are at 129 at the time of writing this.
So here is my question, I have always said, I will refund if we stop this without it being made. We had over 350+ that wanted this.
My initial thought was to spend the several hours tonight to just cancel/refund.. but then I figured we came this far. I also go on vacation Sept 10-18.
So what I propose, today is the 11th of August. Lets give it till the 25th of August. 2 Weeks... If we are not even close, then I will spend the next 2 days refunding..
So listen.. if anyone out there wants this.. buy it now.. or it will not get made.. To all of those that did buy.. sorry its taking so long, your money is safe. I am not out to steal anything, I just want the door to be made.

I'm sure though that if you made 275 you wouldn't have any problem at all selling them, both on here and on ebay. I'm surprised you have as many preorders as you do, considering you don't have a product to ship.

Would raising the price of each one by a couple of bucks per door get them to the target without needing more preorders?

I am not sure of the numbers. I dont mind investing my own $ into it.. But I am just trying to get alot closer to that break even point.. If I sell more after, thats great but tbh, I am doing this as a community buy... not trying to get rich (not that I think that is even possible)

If you would have followed for the past month + you would see this is not sketchy.. I have kept everyone updated the entire time... And how can a complete refund be sketchy?

Calling someone sketchy is a personal attack.... joey has been upfront with us every step of the way...I only gave you some of your own medicine. That's all nothing more..
It aggravating when you watch someone work their ass off for the community on a project and have half of the people disappear who were supposed to order, then have you call this guy sketchy when hes done nothing but try to make us happy by seeing this project through any way he can... nobody else even came close to a comment like yours.
I followed the thread, saw all the updates, saw members commit money with delay after delay. I understand **** takes time but every post was "here is a final prototype but yours wont look like this" point is, promising something, taking peoples money, then GOING ON VACATION to wait it out IS sketchy whether you can admit it on not. You seem to have a serious personal stake in this or with the op but from an outside perspective it IS sketchy. If the op falls through and refunds everyones money then fine, that doesn't mean the situation was any less sketchy.
You say it wasn't sketchy because he kept everyone up to date, guess what, so do Nigerien scammers. Him keeping everyone updated is not a fool proof reassurance.

This will be my last reply to you...
This was not a person that had one post and decided to start asking for peoples money..before this went to pre-order he told us of his VACATION and possible delivery dates. I have been involved with community generated projects in the past and they all involved a pre-order because these types of projects are not cheap to get started and not done to make an initial profit, they are to help get something made the community wants and doesn't exist, once the community is taken care of then you try to make money from the project by exploring different ways to market said item at a significantly higher price. He is not a prince from Nigeria sending unsolicited emails trying to get my bank info so that comparison was completely stupid AND HE IS USING PAYPAL! Wait did I mention PAYPAL! Nobody had to western union him cash or transfer cash into his account, so we feel very confident because at the end of the day if this doesn't get to production we WILL ALL GET OUR MONEY BACK BECAUSE HE USED PAYPAL! Easy for him to refund our money and has buyer protection. My personal stake in this -- I want a unique clear and colored battery door for my evo, made in the USA sold in the USA by someone in the community who actually followed thru! Joey took a poll to see how many people would buy one and it was more than enough for this project to move forward! It is not his fault that some people are not doing their part of the project and pre-ordering to get these to production.

Shame the release date isn't set yet, but good news nonetheless! Personally I find them to be some of the most unique skins (I use the Neo New York one for my laptop ) and they do a great job of protecting the device. Thought I'd put this up here in case anyone was holding off on buying a skin until something new came around, I avoided the gel ones because I find them a bit plain and boring.

Apologies, I wasnt aware, i just saw other threads discussing it and assumed the rule referred to official advertising.
As for the textured back, I don't think it will matter, my laptop one is pretty thick anyway so it should smooth it out. My laptop isnt AS textured as the SGS2, but it flattens this backplate out quite nicely, so we'll see i guess.

I think they will release once it is out in the US, since they are a US company. I've bought a cheap case off ebay for £4 to protect the phone until gelaskins release them :3

Hopefully, when SGS2 sells like hotcakes, manufacturers will start churning out cases and protectors like no-ones business
This is the first time I've heard of Gelaskins. I looked them up and their skins look amazing! Looking forward to their release of skins for the SGS2.

I know there's already an otterbox thread. But this one is specifically for the defender. I have the defender on my HD2, and it's a godsend. I don't have to try to put on a screen protector myself, and I know my phone is very well protected.
So is there any chance the note will get a defender case made for it?
This is a major determining factor for me. Don't want to put down $700 on a phone for it to get scratched up, or for me to drop it and it breaks.

lol..no worries....I too would love to have a Commuter Case for my Note
If we do start up a petition for a defender case, I'd like to specify that otterbox design one that is big enough to fit an extended battery just in case.
The defender on my HD2 is very perfectly designed, but doesn't leave any extra room for any kind of bigger battery.
I already know I'll be playing games and watching movies like crazy on the note.
Maybe I will start a new thread for the petition....and I will then send the petition to OtterBox....

No news yet, the only news is an email reply from them to me saying that there is no plan for it yet, but they will pass on my suggestion to the development department
Otterbox Samsung Note!!!!
Otterbox will eventually make a case for the NOTE. They play this game of "we don't know anything until we know something" because, from what I've been told, alot of it is contingent on their overseas manufacturer. But development was in the works before the phone was released (according to my source). Supply and Demand. I personally cannot wait to see one on their website BUT if it's anything like the Samsung Galaxy SII I'll probably have outgrown my NOTE for the next best thing by the time it happens.
I would like to see them post an UPCOMING cases or SOON TO BE RELEASED page on their website if they cannot keep up with getting product out timely for new devices. Otherwise there are alternatives that work very well.
Yeah I bought the Zenus Capsule Case just because it looks pretty. And it's probably almost as bulky as the Defender would be.
But I'll probably still buy a Defender. I just really wish they made a Defender for an extended battery addition.

Ok when there's an official release, I'll update the first post with a link for it
I have been contacting Zizo biweekly with requests and inquiries about any updates on the process of them making a lineup of Axon 7 Bolt cases, but I still always receive the same answer everytime of "I have forwarded your request to our department team". I have mentioned how they have cases for 8 ZTE phones on their website, but none for the Axon 7. They have one for the Axon Pro, but not the 7. I find this disappointing because Zizo has surpassed my expectations with their cases and would love to have them create a line of cases of the Axon 7.
With the lack of brand name protective cases, whatnot with Spigen and Poetic, I feel like Zizo would have a strong market with Axon 7 users. The phone has been out since July of 2016 and has been noted the best budget smartphone* etc. It's widely used across the world which baffles me why Zizo hasn't made a case yet.
If we all could, contact them using their contact page and request consideration for an Axon 7 case be made. Even the Axon 7 Mini. :fingers-crossed:

Same here! Just last night I decided to try Facebook messaging and I got a reply back today of the same exact autoscripted message saying they will forward it to their development team. These aren't good enough answers . I own an Alcatel Idol 3 that Zizo has made a Bolt series case for. And that phone was less popular than the Axon 7 by miles. So if they can make a case for the Idol 3, they would have no problem making one for the Axon 7.

Same here! I own the Idol 3 with the Bolt case as my backup phone in case my Axon 7 breaks. Haven't touched the Idol 3 since I got the Axon 7. It's crazy how a phone like the Idol 3 with a very limited user base somehow sparked enough interest for Zizo to make a case for it. Yet the Axon 7 has 5 times the user base and publicity, yet no interest from Zizo. If you start the petition I will gladly be signing it and be willing to help organize it if needed.

@DrakenFX , the link brings me to a Page not found error. However, a little bit more news, my Facebook post just now finally got accepted by Zizo and got posted publically asking when they will make a case for the Axon 7. So like and comment on it to get their attention!

Welp, still nothing in regards to Zizo making a case. With the lack of communication after the monthly inquiries by email, and Facebook/Twitter, I find it to be bull**** that this company has not even acknowledged the Axon 7. They can make cases for 10 different ZTE phones, which mind you are the cheapest prepaid phones released by ZTE, but their logic to not release a line of cases for an actual highly rated, reasonably priced, high spec'd smartphone that has been put on numerous "Top 10" best smartphones of 2016/17 is the most baffling thing to me. Call me a whiner, but with the extreme lack of cases and screen protectors and overall accessories for this phone is unacceptable. I mean hell, Zizo has released full curved screen protectors for the ZTE Grand X Max 2 and the Axon 7 is not even considered.
As careful as I am with my phones (have never dropped or broken any phone I have owned), I still prefer to keep my invested device protected. And I have always looked at Zizo as the best contender for phone cases which is why I called out to them but simply got ignored and was given the typical auto generated response of "Your message has been directed to the design department". With the lack of case support for this phone I would have thought a company like Zizo would jump on the chance to start producing for the Axon 7 and be the best rated case for it. But instead people are stuck with Spigen's lowest line of case that doesn't offer anything that it's advertised to do, and Poetic's full body, yet flawed design protective case. With it's poorly designed dust flaps that do not stay inserted after you have unplugged your headphones/charger and pop right out when you try to close them back in.
Surely I am not the only one disappointed by the lack of customizable protection/accessories for this phone. Take a look at the cases Zizo offers for ZTE phones that I linked above and tell me that's not a slap in the face to release cases for prepaid phones that are $100 or less. But the Axon 7 gets nothing. Sorry for a lengthy post but I just had to vent. Hope there's more people out there that understand and can relate.
I would also like to see a Bolt case for our A7. I contacted them through email and even pointed them towards this thread and hopefully they come here and read our posts.

Unfortunately Zizo made an official announcement via Facebook saying they are not going to release an Axon 7 case since the Axon 7 is over a year old or close to being a year old. See attached screenshot of the post.
Still doesn't make sense to me that they waited and waited and now are giving the excuse of "the phone is too old now". Where were they when the phone first came out then? Like I said before numerous times their business strategy seems backwards so I've come to realize it and move on. Nothing we can do now will change their mind. So sending inquiries to them are of no use anymore.

Yeah, it's too bad about that. They make one of the best cases money can buy.
