Do Not order From Seidio (cases or screen protectors) - General Accessories

I bought the extended convert case from Seidio for my HTC Thunderbolt.
The screen protector was to big. So it didn't stay on.
Seidio then informed me that they would not exchange it or send me a new
one. They told me to ship it back and i would get a refund
Then they said i had to pay to ship it back. Pay to ship back a bad product
Once i shipped it back, they charged me $9.95 surcharge.
WTF. I received a defective product and
had to pay to ship it back and lose even more money for surcharge.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM A HOLES.
Any one else have a bad experience from them.
Ban them. Ban Them.
I ordered a crystal clear protector and it is great from
Steinheil. Gonna get the otter box case.

Glad I read this. I was literally just going home to order one.

Usually Seidio has good products.

Been ordering from Seidio for years...always great cases and never had any problems!

Yea , well try sending something back.
I lost 15 dollars because of shipping and surcharge.
IT WAS A DEFECTIVE PRO0DUCT.
They should of sent me a box to send it back to them.
Will never order from them again.
And if you read other forums or just google siedio.
A lot of people are talking about how BAD seidio customer service is.

most companies never pay for you to ship back. The overcharge is ridiculous but i would call em and talk to someone on the phone. They might reinburse you.
I have bought countless things from seidio for my Nexus One and they were amazing products and never had a single problem.
Seriously call em up, dont let them rob you of 10 bucks.
Its 4th of July, do it for America.

Wow! Thank you for the heads up! That's rediculous!

I have ordered from them several times without any problems. Guess you can have issues with any manufacturer though.

Well I called them back and THEY said there is a problem with the thunderbolt
screen protector and the lady on the phone said she didn't know why they
didn't just send me one out right away. She also refunded the $10 surcharge.
She said they do exchange products. I told her i got 4 different emails saying
they didn't do that and to send the entire product back. They didn't refund
the return shipping.
But at least I got my surcharge back. I should've got the shipping back to
since she confirmed there was a problem with the screen protectors being to big.
If they know this why would they even ship it to me.
Hope everyone can see what i when thru with them.
Thanks for the replys

I got one from there it wasnt so bad

Good luck with your boycott of Seidio. I've been using their cases for years and never had any problems.
As stated, contact them, continue to press the matter and you will more than likely be reimbursed. my favorite tactic is to threaten reporting them to the BBB, you'll get your way pretty fast most times.

I've ordered several things from Seidio (and had to send some back). Never had any issues with them.
Glad to hear you got things worked out!
Jim

Ma be better to order from somewhere like amazon. They have better return policy and customer care. Just got a seidio case for my SGS2 from amazon and price was almost 10$ less.

i know there products are good but now seeing bad service.....

I don't know about their customer service because I've never had any trouble out or their products. Had one of their cases and screen protectors on my incredible.

Never had any issues from them.

I am about to buy a screen protection too, I think I can trust them.

thanks for the heads up.

"Free" Stealth Guard Full Body Cover (Only pay S&H)

I saw a thread in the marketplace section of the forum for free Stealth Guard body covers. So I checked out the Stealth Guard website and they are indeed selling free body covers (you only pay the shipping) I picked one up for my Captivate and paid only $2.89!
I thought I'd post it here because I think this is a really good deal. **Mod Edit - Advertising Links Removed**
And I found on Android Forums a review comparing Zagg and Phantom Skinz and Stealth Guard in pretty good detail: http://androidforums.com/motorola-d...ector-reviews-zagg-vs-phantom-vs-stealth.html
Thanks for the share. Just ordered mine and it did notify me that it'll send a tracking number to my email.
It is not really free - it is $2.85 with free shipping. A second set is $2. This will cost them $0.49 to ship in US via first class mail.
If you want to cover your phone in clear vinyl, it is probably a decent product - as good as the others, but no special deal is coming anyones way.

Seems like a great deal to me for that price.
Meh... I have never been a fan of the full body clear protection because the corners (what'll get done in the most) are still left open.

That's what I'm thinking... A full body cover for less than $3? That's a steal to me, especially since skins like Zagg cost around $20.
The thread in the marketplace about this offer seems to be gone now, but I read success stories of people buying four for about $11 and some change and I haven't really heard anything negative about these covers (I've heard the occasional THESES SUCK but like 1% of the time). I might pick up a few more.
The only bad thing i've read, now that i think about it, is that it doesn't come with any solution to spray on
I just ordered 2 for $4.85 shipped.
I like skins because you can put them on the phone underneath a snap-on cover and it protects the phone from the stuff that gets inside the cover and scratches the device.
Just ordered mine. I read that the screen protector (which is all I'll be using) is high quality and has a smooth glide to it. Thanks for the post!
So i've been reading around about these Stealth Guard shields and I have found quite a few more 'these are crap' posts. From what I've read, as a body case don't expect much, but as a screen cover, it's awesome.
When I get mine I'll post a review of what I think of it as a screen protector.
I bought a set for my Wife's iPhone before they were available for the Captivate. It's okay on the iPhone, it didn't fit very well, but for $3 it's worth it. I also bought one for my neighbors Droid. No word on if he installed it yet.

Not Received
I ordered last week. Have not received mine yet.
How long does it take?
Ordered a couple of these as well. I'm currently using a skinomi screen protector, and I don't think I'm taking it off. But I wanted to check out the rest of the cover. For the price dont' think I can really go wrong.

Ghost Armor for EVO 4G

So I just went out and decided to buy this "case" called Ghost Armor. I was told it was similar to Zagg InvisiShield but better, so I went out on a leg and forked up the $40.00 for the Ghost Armor with the matte finish which I was told would make it 100% anti-glare and anti-fingerprint and that it would come with a lifetime warranty. This is week 2 that I have purchased this and I have to say...this is the BEST product I have ever purchased! I wish I knew about this stuff when I first got my iPod Touch before it got all messed up. I have dropped this thing countless times and nothing. It looks pretty amazing, anyone else have this done?
how's the back piece? Can you take pics of the back side? I got my screen ghost armored and am currently using a griffin case because i'm paranoid about the sides of my phone being scratched. I know ghost armor will cover the battery cover but does it cover the sides too?
you guys are funny, you can get the same crap for $4. i love people who over pay for plastic.

+1. Same goes for paying $70 for extended batteries. Ouch.
thats unfortunate cause I got mine done for $25 .. and it comes with a life time replacement warranty as long as I bring a little piece of the plastic film.. Ive used it on my last 4 Evo's .. only a 5 dollar replacement fee and thats just for having them put it on.. I think it's a great deal considering this plastic doesn't scratch and can be cleaned very easily
Any chance of some pictures?
can you say first time poster first time Ghost rep lol trying to sell product, anyway, i saw the product in the mall and got it for free. the guy was amazed, i told him i was a zagg fan and he goes ohhhhh look at this guys. Like 3 nerdles turn around and hes like if you can tear this shield, the ghost, i will cover your device for free, at the time i had my zagg off due to a replacement phone. I accepted and tore that baby after about 30 seconds of pulling. He was amazed and speechless. He said he had never see anyone due that before, i laughed at him and said, not that your product is bad just because i could pull it apart but don't use that as a selling point. So you see im not a fanboy of zagg either even though i love their products, Zagg shouldn't use a drill on the evo in a video as a selling point either lol.

I have used ghost armor on both my iphones as well as on my new evo, It's ok i guess, but after about 3 months the plastic started peeling off both the front as well as around the sides. It did this on ALL my phones i have gotten ghostarmored BTW.
if i were to do it again i would just to the front screen and get a case, honestly it's not worth the amount they charge
A couple of my buddies own a couple ghost armor franchise kiosks and I have used it on multiple phones (never paid for it though). I have been very happy with it but can't bring myself to believe that it can take the place of a true case.

Otterbox defender

Here is quick little story about the otterbox defender case I have. So I ordered mine the moment out was released last year. After a month, the kickstand broke on me. Not a big deal. I didnt use it that much. Well about a month ago the rubber part started not fitting right.
I called up customer support at otterbox and told them what was going on. They have a one year - no questions asked warranty. Cs agent told me no problem they could take care of it. With in about ten days, I will have the new case at my house. And I dont have to send the defective one back.
I will definitely give otterbox my future business. Credit to them.

+1 they are awesome .
I totally didn't expect the service that I got from them.
~ I'm a fungi
Yeah for sure fungus. They over delivered and made me a happy customer. As such I give them more business and recommend other people to them

I have used Otterbox for a lot of items in addition to cell phone cases. They make great products and have great service.
I bought both the Defender and the Commuter to try out on my EVO 4G.
I thought the Defender was a bit too bulky for me. I think it is the best damage protection you can get, but I liked the Commuter better.
I still have the Defender, like new in box, been installed once. If you want it PM me with an offer.
+ 1
Bought my defender case from them and have been through 3 of them now. (kickstand issues) And have never had an issue with them and their customer service department.
Sent from my SOS EVO using xda premium app
I've also got the Defender for my phone. They've already replaced it once for the same kickstand/loose fit problems that everyone is experiencing.
Additionally, i was working under a conference table at work and rolled over onto the belt clip, breaking the lock-tab off. I emailed Otterbox and asked if there was somewhere on their website i could buy another. Instead, the agent mailed me a replacement. It should be here any day now. So far, their customer service has been phenomenal!
The defender is a bit too rugged for me however it's a very very impressive case, check out this video:

Half off on these skins until the 4th

I don't know the rules on advertising, but I'm not trying to advertise.
I noticed this site, SlickWraps.com is having a half off sale until the 4th. What caught my eye were the unique textured skins towards the bottom of the list. They're $25-$28 normally which I consider unreasonable, but for half off, that makes them intriguing to me. I'm interested in having a skin with polyester texture to it. But it also applies to the cheaper ones which puts them under $9
anyway thought I'd share.
Your post is actually advertisement, though.

I couldnt care if anyone actually buys them. I'm just trying a skin out for the 1st time, I typically use cases. Thought I'd share because I think normal-priced skins, even from dbrand are unreasonable. Like I'd pay $20 for whats basically a sticker. I find it an easier pill to swallow to buy a fancier sticker for $13
Now I'm interested in anyone with a suggestion for a flass screen protector. I can't find one without that dot matrix junk on them. Who thought that was a good idea?
Their 50% off sale is just a bulls*it. Normally you can buy sticker only for back side for 9.99$ or full set 20-25$. But when they has sales you can only buy full sets (20-25$ and minus discount %). Its great for people buying full sets but i myself prefer only back side. That's why i'm buying from Dbrand. From Drand you can actually buy just for parts you want and when they have discounts its really real discounts not like Slickwraps "we will cheat customers".

Except DBrand has horrible customer service. 1st and last time I bought from them was just last month. Got skins for my Surface Pro and they send me an email saying because they were having a sale my 2 day shipping was going to be delayed. Took 2 weeks. Sent an email twice to their CS and never heard back. Do like the wood grain skin though

I found a killer deal on a used Pixel XL, so I don't have a reason to swap out backs on my OPO anymore. Definitely going to throw the bamboo on ebay, but I figured I would see if anyone wanted to buy it without me having to pay fees. I'll do an even fifty bucks (what I originally paid back in the day) on the bamboo plus whatever shipping method you want through a gmail money transfer or paypal.
I also have my OPO with sandstone back. It never saw a case and rarely saw a screen protector, so it is worth more in parts. If you need anything from it, let me know. The screen, with the many scratches (not seen w/ screen on), has a fresh oleophobic coating on it. So it feels new, and repels fingerprints as if it is.
I just got in five camera lens covers, the piece of glass that covers the camera on the back that gets scratched all to hell, that I will be getting rid of too. And a battery that is on the way from ali. I will test the battery for capacity and sell that one for what I have in it, plus ship and fees. Same for the lenses. So if you need a battery shipped from Tennessee instead of China, let me know.
Mods: I don't know if this breaks any rules or not. If it does, please feel free to delete. No harm no foul. I am not trying to run an enterprise or anything, just trying to give first dibs to 'active' xda OPO owners. You can go back to the original Moto X days and see where I gave away, with free shipping, some cases and screen protectors for the OG Moto X. And delivered on my promises. So not trying to hoodoo anyone.
Anywho... I will probably get around to ripping apart the OPO next week and will be posting things on ebay then. So if you want before it goes on ebay for max price, let me know.

Let me know the price of sandstone back and bamboo back
BTW I stay in India , let me know the shipping charge as well
I'm interested in the bamboo back cover, as I've been searching all over for ages and haven't had any luck. Please let me know exactly how much you'd like for it as well as exactly how the transaction will take place, as I'd like to get my hands on it.
(I also sent a PM, if you'd rather carry on this conversation there.)
It's $50 for the bamboo and will be $43 for the sandstone. Those are the prices I paid. Plus ship ($7.15 for small flat rate box USPS), plus any money transfer fees. I am not really interested in filling out forms to ship internationally but I will... If I cannot sell on ebay. My experience shipping to china and uk adds another $30 or $40 to the ship price.
As for the Sandstone back, I have decided to try and make the 4,000 mah ZTE battery work for the opo. I have the zte batt in house, just waiting on the cheap opo replacement batt. So will not be busting down the opo until I get that project done. Should be some time this week. If it works... I will post a vid on youtube for you guys on how to do it. Either way the Sandstone will be ready to ship out once I get it done.
i need the lcd+digitizer+frame assembly.I live in India
Hey, have you posted them to eBay yet?
If not, how much would you ask for the motherboard?
Thanks!
