GSM + 3G - 3G not working - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Hi, I recently unlocked my Incredible 2 and I'm in India. It seems that the new SIM card allows me to make voice calls fine, but I can't seem to get 3G data even after signing up for the plan here etc. It shows Airtel (service provider) in the networks list and is active, but I still cannot get it to connect. Any ideas?

Have you confirmed your APN is entered correctly?

Some help for ya: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550673

[Q] problems with data, especially market

Just hooked up my new Galaxy Nexus on ST today. Talk, text and data work... except for the data sometimes
Data is slow and spotty despite good signal. When Google Play tries to access the network it fails almost every time. I've found other posts about this solution and tried these two APN settings with no luck:
(ST recommended)
APN Name: Straight Talk APN: att.mvno Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com Port: 80 MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33 MMS Port: 80
(Found on hofo)
Name: US - Straight Talk Web APN: att.mvno Proxy: Port: Username: Password: Server: MMSC: MMS Proxy: MMS Port: MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0 MCC: 310 MNC: 410 Authentication Type: PAP APN Type: default, supl
TXT Messaging MMS: Name: US - Straight Talk MMS APN: att.mvno Proxy: Port: Username: Password: Server: MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33 MMS Port: 80 MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0 MCC: 310 MNC: 410 Authentication Type: PAP APN Type: mms
Any ideas?

Do not Mess with APNs, the phone gets those from your carrier automaticly... Try flashing some other radios.. For me xxkk6 or any ug version wont work or barely works.. Only xxkl1 works great for me depends on your zone/carrier and several other factors.. So go ahead and find the basebands thread in the general section, download all the radios for gsm (Assuming you have a GSM phone) get the img files and flash them via fastboot and try until you get a Stable service

I appreciate the response. Straight Talk says you must and, from what I experienced, the APN was not set automatically and though I had voice and text data did not work at all until I did set it. That might be the case for phones that accept OTA programming but I don't think it's true for unlocked phones or when switching carriers. (I had to set the APN on my Evo after flashing it from Sprint to PagePlus because OTA programming doesn't work)
Thanks for the advice on the radio though. I'll try it

I got the native Hotspot working on gsm-unlocked RAZR M with Straighttalk/ATT sim!
(Not sure if this has already been posted, but I struggled with this for awhile, so I wanted to share).
It would always fail, and tell me to activate this feature call ATT.
All I had to do was edit the APN settings to include "dun"...and boom, it worked!
