Hi everybody, we can install any skin for Desire HD?

Of course you can install one, but after that you can't use or uninstall it! So please don't try out Desire HD themes on Wildfire S. Talking from my bitter experience...

Does anyone have any idea which uninstaller I should use to remove this bloat? The Desire HD skin I installed is not listed in the Skin picker; Settings-> Applications doesn't show any installed skin, neither those from HTC Hub nor the one I tried to use. Or could you please give me the file path to where the sense skins are stored? (HTC Wildfire S, Android 2.3.3, Sense 2.1, Stock ROM, not rooted)

use astro file manager...go to where u'r .apk file is stored...click it and select " app manager " there will be an option for uninstall and open..select uninstall..i also tried these HD skins and uninstalled it using this method..
Big thanks for the tip, sunnyhj. It worked perfectly for me, too.
Anyway it would be a good thing if someone intended to port those beautiful Sense skins to Wildfire S and 320x480 screen resolution...

No it works fine. I'm using it on an unrooted 32B Magic, installed just like any other app.

But first, you must install/setup the voice data via "text-to-voice" setting.
If this works, it would be awesome!
UPDATE: I found HTC Magic does not use HTC Sense UI by default So, it might not work then ... or I really don't understand all this !
It works on the phones that don't have HTC_IME in the ROM.
I used it on my G1 and it was fine, but you can't install it on Desire until it's rooted and we can get rid of default HTC_IME.
After root Desire, maybe I can install a clean ROM. Some HTC Apps are good for me, so I want to learn how to export original HTC Apps in APK format, or can you tell me is there any useful resoure to download to apk Apps.

You can't do that, they have dependencies which are buried deep in the rom.

no stand alone htc apk apps? I have googled and downloaded the htc IME as a apk file, maybe dialpad or contacts etc. can be downloaded from somewhere.

The IME works cause it's a keyboard. I beleive HTC Music works on SOME roms but not all. I think that's it as far as HTC Apps on Stock roms go.

I heard its possible with some rom to choose "reboot" when long pressing the off button?! (defrost or opendesire)
Now I was wondering if this mod is available for devices running other roms. I really miss this feature, since I use the original HTC Rom (with root) for the moment.
Could someone please tell me where to find this mod?

I believe with HTC's griphold on their phones, it may not be possible at the moment.
I don't see why someone cannot add this feature, although it will be alot of work compared to the non-sense android Roms, which are more easier to modify.
Personally, I don't see a use for it, as i have a reboot to recovery in RomManager, or I could just press the Power button again =/

So... Example
If i want to install LeeDroid 2.4 but before so i want to delete all the sense apps and other unwanted apps and install ADW Launcher, would i just put the ADWlauncher.apk file along with others in System\apps? because i have tried and it doesn't work. any idea why?
Correct, you might have deleted some dependencies for other apks during the process though.

Thanks, one other thing if i delete HTC Sense and put ADW in its place should it install and start ok with ADW Launcher?
If you delete the Rosie.apk I don't think you'll be able to use the SenseUI widgets, if you want to remove Sense why don't you just use a stock AOSP ROM?

I was really using LeeDroid as an example, it would probably be iNsertCoin as i want the HD Sense benefits like the test magnifying glass function and the small text, other things that dont come to mind lol. So basically an HD Sense base but with a gingerbread "feel" or theme.
I dont want to RCmix desensinzed because i think its a bit messy

Just found that lol, I'm still wanting to use HD really anyway + I really just want to be able to add apps to any rom before flashing (successfully lol)

I downloaded this rom on my desire hd (PrimoS-ace-saga-v1.0)
I start recovery and install zip file,and read install sd card zip file finisd.
When i reboot my phone i see htc logo and few second later i see on the black screen,and this rom not booted.
Please everyone help me!!!

I've the same problem like you "black bootscreen" .....
I've tried this rom, virtuous 3.6, smartbeam 3.6 with the same result. AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. No problems with another previous roms .... 3.5, rcmix3d Runny, etc ...
Yes man same problem im download icse sence 1 beta.this is good but not aded the next release,and dont work wifi and anything now i think install the new 1.1 edition.I hope this is good!!!

Hi,
Have you solved the problem?? I haven't!!
The only roms that work for me are the blackout (with sense 3.6) and primo-s 1.1 (with sense 4.0lite). Aaaall the other ones get frozen on bootscreen.
Waiting with hope for your answer ...

This is part of the primo Rom and developers are working on disabling it just be patient
