I opened this thread to ask all developers to try to create a dualboot for our Galaxy S .. so you can start two Android Rom ..
Developpers what do you think about..??
Would be great, this has been done with several android phones already would be sweet if we could have dualboot fun too.

But i actually think they have dualboot on epic 4g. Maybe that could help our devs.

Ha - good catch, so long as there is a Q&A section to post the question in....
I assume the OP may want to "post a question" in a development thread maybe about a rom he's using or a kernel or any other valid development-related question. so why flame him for not reading. I assume we are all here to learn, or am I wrong?

You are wrong. Read the rules. There is a Q&A Section for a reason. Development is for the active discussion of development related activities.

Questions are not supposed to be in development threads as weird as that sounds. Only feedback and bug reports are meant to go on those threads. If he has questions, he needs to ask in the Q&A section.

Perhaps the device has less than 10k posts or 1k threads in general last time anyone checked?
Perhaps the device is too crap to get a Q & A, or perhaps I'm trolling? (hint - it's the first option)

I can access XDA from my computer, but I can't access it from my Phone. I've got a Samsung Captivate and I have tried clearing caches and actually uninstalling and then reinstalling the XDA app, both regular and premium and still it won't hook up. I can access the internet and google market and such, the only problem I have is connecting up with XDA. Is it me or is there an issue with the site?

if threads get closed it may or may not be justified. I know of some significant cases of wrongful thread closing/moving etc.. Since so much stuff gets deleted here, one must be forgiven if s.o. cannot read up to certain cases, such as CIPS GOHKLE. so what was the problem there ?

i know your intension and you are just helping bro. but the mods have rules in closing threads and they gave their reasons why they are closing some threads. some cm7 thread where closed because its for development only and it became a off topic and Q &A thread and the OP have no further development in porting the rom. maybe mods only teach us how to be a responsible member here in xda.I know you know what i'm talking about you are a senior member in xda. thanks..

There's no need. You may as well delete it. First off, most likely you won't get a reply because currently alpha0 is the latest version. Next, you've listed problems that developer is fully aware of and is working to fix them. Patience is needed. alpha1 is out on Saturday. You should pay attention to the forum posts for CM9.

After registering, I realized that I'm not allowed to post in the development forums until I post 10 times in the general forum because this forum is only for expert users. your thread title describes it well mate.. new users should help other users in XDA with 10 valuable/useful posts to get into development forum...so to help in dev section help other new users who are new not just to xda but also android..

The question shouldn't be asked in a development forum, that is what q&a is for... development is for development, not questions... not even a question about the rom/kernel should be in development... only development related things... as one of my fav devs say, logcat or gtfo of development forums...
