[ROM][UPDATED]Full Rom Deodexed US Wifi Android 3.2 / Tiamat Katana 2.0.0 - Xoom Android Development

Flash at your own Risk, I am not responsible for you breaking your device!
This is ONLY FOR THOSE USING A US WIFI XOOM THAT'S ROOTED ON 3.1 or 3.2 !!!
-There are now separate instructions for those coming from stock and those coming from Tiamat v1.1
This is the stock system that has already been deodexed. It now includes Tiamat's Kitana kernel (Stock GPU). For overclocking, just flash the 3.2 overclocked kernel after this rom
Enjoy!
To flash from stock rooted 3.1 (with any kernel):
1) Place on SD Card
- I did this by using root explorer
2) Make a NAND backup
3) Flash in CWR by going to install zip from sd card -> choose zip -> Deodexed32.zip -> Yes
To Flash from Tiamat 1.1
1) Place on SD Card, and reboot into recovery
2) Make a NAND Backup
3) Perform a full wipe (data, cache, dalvik)
4) Flash the rom and reboot.
The initial boot will take a minute...Be patient. If it gets to the boot animation, you should be good to go.
Changes:
v1.0 - Initial Release
v1.1 - Fixed Wifi Issue
v1.2 - Zipaligned
Known Issues:
Please report what you find so this can be updated.
NOTE: I did not wipe my system and did not experience any issues...IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS, PERFORM A FULL WIPE!

Tiamat Team for their Kernel, excellent as always
Stachre for releasing the rooted update to 3.2...this is used in its entirety in this rom to bring those on 3.1 up to speed lol (this is why the file is a fat beast)
Update:
Several have reported that a wipe is necessary! If you have poor results the first time, please perform a full wipe and reflash before posting.
Also, had one person say that they had success flashing this on the Canadian Wifi Xoom, but I am not sure if that changed their system to the US system...not sure on the differences...
UPDATE
For those of you on a 3g XOOM who want to get in on the 3.2 action, it looks like bigdogrush has posted a patch for your devices that you can check out by going here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15787759&postcount=615
I have not used this and cannot verify that it works, but being that its from BigdogRush/ Team Tiamat, I am sure it'll work! If someone wants to try this and verify it working, that would be great.
ADD-ON!!!
For those of you who can't wait for a theme, this one is the HoneyBread theme that I have mostly brought up to 3.2...There are a couple things that I can't change until apktool is fixed, screenshots are attached to this post.
HoneyBread for Deodexed 3.2 Roms

Good work.

3.2? I've been out of the game for a while. Does the tiamat kernel work on this bad boy?

By entire system partition, what are you all looking for? I just made one that contains all of the contents in the folder /system/ ...is that what you guys were talkin about earlier

Fixed just deodexed.zip because it was not removing maps.odex from the system.

Not without the kernel. But maybe if you fastbooted the kernel and booted straight into recovery, it may work...I'll work on getting the kernel in there too.

Its the same thing...update.zip is just quicker than finding the zip on your sd card...you can take any rom and rename it update.zip and it will install right away...

[ROM] Red Line by RomChicago [Alpha 2][09.03.12] [JB4.1.1]

As many of you know, my goal with Rom Chicago has always been to build the simplest and most functional rom. The original Rom Chicago was based on tmobile's release products. Red Line is the culmination of everything I have learned so far: It is built from source, based on AOKP, with the intent of making the Rom fully AOSP over time. Thus, some AOKP features have been removed. The goal is SPEED, STABILITY, and FUNCTIONALITY.
When I figure github out finally I'll push the source.

Does wifi calling work on this ROM?
im not sure about this but i would say no. wifi calling is a tw feature and being that there is no source code yet for our phone all jb roms r aosp which dont support wifi calling
Can you (or someone else that desires to be bothered with it) give a quick overview of which features of AOKP haven't been included?
I assume things like Tablet Mode aren't in this build, or...?
I think asking for flashing instructions are valid for a couple reasons...
You won't have a thread full of asking how to flash
And every dev has a flashing method
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
I flash enough to know every rom has a different flashing method. Thanks for the helpful post btw.

Ehh I'm more a blue line person.....
I haven't checked out the rom yet but. Love the name.
Flashing all roms is basically the same UNLESS otherwise listed with the Posted rom. Clear what normally gets cleared and flash from a fresh install is what I would do. If no special steps are liisted I would assume that no special steps are needed?
No theirs a apk floating around

As to not get into a debate on flashing lets be honest...
*wipe/data factory reset(TDJ script if on old CWR 5.0.2.x)Also works with TWRP
*flash rom
*flash gapps(if applicable)AOSP based roms
*wipe cache/dalvik(TDJ script if on old CWR 5.0.2.X) Also works with TWRP
*fix permissions(if applicable)
*reboot
*wait 5-10 minutest to settle
*reboot sign in
I have not seen too many variations of this simple flashing method but I could be wrong :good:

[Kernel]Insecure/Rooted, Recovery-Flashable UCALH9[ADB][init.d][Custom Bootanimation]

Hey everyone,
This is a modified stock kernel based on AT&T UCALH9 and is ONLY compatible with stock-based ICS roms. I haven't seen this around so I decided to make it myself for all to use and assist in development. The root application of choice is Chainfire's SuperSU. Remember that the first boot takes longer than usual after you clear the cache.
Features:
•Insecure rooted kernel
•init.d script support
•ADB support
•Custom bootanimation.zip support
Instructions:
1.Download the recovery-flashable zip to your phone's SD card
2.Flash in recovery
3.Wipe cache and dalvik cache
4.Reboot and enjoy
Standard disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything bad that happens to your phone. I have personally tested this on my own AT&T SGS3 and it works great for me.
Special thanks to NunHugger for his infinite wisdom in helping me figure out how to get custom boot animations working and letting me borrow his updater script. Also thanks to dsixda for the amazing Android Kitchen.
Download:
From here
Mirror
Or, alternatively, directly from this thread
Kernel Source: http://opensource.samsung.com
Secondary ODIN Instructions
This is the modified kernel made flashable in ODIN ONLY. Do not flash this in recovery as it will not work. Flashing with ODIN will increase your flash counter so if you use it, make sure to use Triangle Away to set your counter back to zero. Flashing using Mobile ODIN will NOT increase your flash counter, however.

Awesome, thank you for putting this together! Seems like everyone here is using leaked jb builds, ports, etc. and no one is building on the latest ota ics update. At the moment I'm more interested in stability than trying out new stuff so I'm on rooted, debloated stock UCALH9.
I'll give this a whirl today, thanks again for working on it.

Thanks again, it's working great. Thanks to this kernel I was able to get some of the V6 Supercharger settings to stick that wouldn't stick on re-boot before (except for those setting requiring a deodexed rom), as well as some performance enhancements and custom boot animation using Rom Toolbox that I couldn't get to work before.
Looking forward to trying out your rom. Cheers!

Thanks for the kernel. I’m getting longer “deep sleep” now and Light Flow seems to be working better too.
A deodex, rooted LH9 rom would be nice. Not a user of Aroma installer.

I'm happy to announce that I am currently uploading a ROM based on UCALH9 with this kernel included. I've spent a lot of time on this to make it right. You will need to flash this from a custom recovery rather than 3e. Cwm or twrp will work. You can flash the tar file from Odin though. It will increase your flash counter though. Easily remedied once you're rooted with triangle away. Note that this will not automatically root you. Use qcom toolkit for that

[ROM][12/8]Stock L900VPALK8 - Odex and Deodex - UPDATED AGAIN

Hi guys, here are odex and deodex versions of LK8. Please follow the guide below for the best way to get onto LK8.
Odin to LJC (need to go back to completely stock for OTA updates)
Apply the update.zip to LK8 via stock recovery
Install TWRP (Use the Odin method, otherwise you will have to us CF Auto-Root and take extra steps)
Reboot to recovery and flash one of the LK8 .zips from here
This method assures you get onto the latest radio, as well as having the latest firmware.
Note: You may be able to do this via a one click LJC package, but I have not tested this. If this works, start at step 3.
Note: You may be able to just flash one of these .zips and apply the updates manually, but again, I have not tested this either.

Waking with home button no longer exits the foreground app

There are only a few slight changes made to this over stock...
boot.img has modified for init.d support
enabled mock locations
enabled USB Debugging
unsecured kernel and swapped /sbin/adbd with one from the Galaxy Nexus (allows /system remount)
removed /system/etc/install-recovery.sh (not needed)
removed /system/etc/security/otacerts.zip (prevents nagging OTA message that won't apply on a rooted system anyway)
CSC files from LJC (removed non-Sprint CSC files as well)
Nice

Awesome! Under known issues, there is nothing mentioned. Is it a stable release?

I use inverted gapps they are 3.1 and work fine for me both just gapps and aio

Echo on this rom?
How is the ECHO on this ROM. (on the other side of the call?)
I could NOT have found any JB rom for the S2 that is Echo-free....NONE.
(And yes, I do a full wipe with TWRP 2.3.3.0 and often install the latest LH1 and LI1 modems too) - no difference.
Had the same issue trying to install ICS before it was officially available.....
(and don't give me the 'case'-excuse either...Why would the same case work fine, no echo on ICS, but on JB it echoes)
Having JB is nice, but using it as a practical, primary phone, SUCKs, until someone (mange to ) fix the Echo problem...
Thanks anyway for your time.

when I try getting the inverted apps for 3.1 I get sent to a slimroms login screen.
Nevermind, I found it through their directory... http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/all/viewcategory/188-inverted-addons-full-packages
ignore login

Sorry
I guess my info was more about the "skip the login screen", than the actual version of the working addons, then.
Thanks anyway
What recovery are you using to flash ? I've tried TWRP 2.2.2.0, 2.3.1.1, and 2.3.3.0 and all the inverted add-on are failing, getting a soft twrp reboot when I attempt to flash them. Any ideas ?

I appreciate chevys work on the unofficial, but I was just having too many problems. Running smooth and looking forward to testing the stock kernel battery.

I use to get that problem with 2.2.2.0, but I just did it with 2.3.1.1 and had no problems with it installing. The problem maybe with md5 or something else, but it has nothing to do with the rom, as I had the problem with 3.0 and unofficial 3.1's. I also did a full wipe (cache, dalvik, system, factory, and internal) before attempting.

I'm in the same boat as you man. Just thinking of throwing this phone away lol.
Quick question...why is the size less than that of chevy's today build.

Just installed this. Quick observations : torch is fixed as promised. Super smooth as usual and will probably continue to be my daily driver of choice.
