Take the battery out and put it in a bag of rice and let it sit for a week or two. Let it sit and do not touch it, the rice will get whatever moisture and leftover water that might be in there. And another note, odin will not work on the incredible, odin is only for samsung phones.

+1 to this.
Powering it on was a bad idea, though... Hopefully you didn't short anything out.

It wasnt me who turned it on but it really didnt get that wet it was only on the outside but something is preventing it from booting normally

mine did the same thing this morning, not sure what caused it to do that
Probably a txt msg or any other notification coming in?
All I can think is it may have been the quick glance setting and once in awhile my keyboard switches to 1 handed mode while I'm typing buggy little bits

Some chargers are faulty and dont stay plugged in. They were talking about this in the international thread. Some have done modifications on their charger.

issue

I dropped my phone in water and everything works (thank god) but now when I have my phone powered off and I plug the charger in it turns the phone on automatically and no longer shows the little batter symbol I am on stock rom

i dont mean to bash or be mean man and i know it can be confusing but wrong thread. ALL questions belong under Q and A
besides the obvious (wrong thread) I have the exact same issue. LGNPST keeps stopping at 67% or 85% and not working. Then my device stopped working all together. taking it to the store tomorrow.
I just unplugged my phone, let it reboot than plugged it back in and lgnpst finished up after that. It kept freezing at 85% for me.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
The 67,85% issue is a bug with the software, but it's not an issue. Your device would reboot then and everything would be peachy.

Does your phone do anything while not plugged in? Mine when i bricked didn't. You may need to take out the battery.

Yes with a torx 5 screwdriver and Phillips 00

Ok! Even though this is the wrong forum...again I apologize. I was able to recover lol.
Heres the story: my phone soft bricked. I had zv8 rooted using the AIO tool and unlocked bootloader using freegee app..support the devs! And was lazy lol.
A friend of mine decided it would be a fantastic idea to allow the OTA for ZV9 to install...needless to say the phone went nuts. Into "epileptic mode" as I like to call it.
The phone would not turn on..at all...unless you hooked it up to usb or AC. And even if you connected to such power options...the phone would only flash the the red notification light and the softkeys consistently over and over like a police car lol.
Even after running LGNPST. It would go back to "epileptic mode" after reboot at 67%. I found this to be annoying....since the firmware was flashing without issue.
I hopped on IRC and fiddy and shelnut2 instructed me to do a battery pull. Thank God for them lol.
I got a T5 screwdriver and a small philips, removed both screws from the bottom and then removed the back cover carefully. Once it opened I peeled back the blue clear tape covering the battery connections and removed the two screws under that (used philips). Disconnected the battery for 5 seconds then reconnected and pressed power on button and finally.....PROFIT!!!!!!
Phone booted with stock firmware from LGNPST.

Problems with ZVB

Is anyone having battery issues with the update I didn't wait for mine and flashed it about a week or so before I was due for the update and my phone turns off when the battery is around 15 or 20 percent. The sprint animation doesn't come up it just dies and then I can't turn it back on while unless I plug it in and the white battery symbol shows up then I have to wait like 20 minutes to turn it in and it will turn on with about 3 to 5 percent battery. Does anyone know what's up or if this is normal with this phone.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Doesn't sound normal to me. I've run mine down to 5% before on stock. Bad battery perhaps?
I'm not sure on the battery settings it says it has good health status so I'm not sure...
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
If I were you try these few things.
Make sure the charger is working correctly.
See if there is an app killing the battery.
Try and see if the stock power save mode helps.
Try clearing the cache and rebooting.
And if all else fails do a clean install on LGNPST. This usually fixes most issues.

The death of a Note 2

While surfing a bit, suddenly the screen went black.
Pressung buttons, no reaction
Pulled the battery, tried to start, just a short flash of vague green, dead. No reaction to charging.
Pressing vol min - pwr - home makes the vague green permanent until battery is removed
See pic (taken in the dark without flash)
Never rooted. 4.1.2 latest XSE.
Last two official roms flashed with Odin.
Suggestions?

If by "Sudden death syndrome" you mean the well-known eMMC bug, then I'm not so sure, even though it looks a lot like it.
The latest firmware should be safe. The phone may crash but it shouldn't brick.

The last resort:
- remove battery, SIM, SD
- press and hold 'power' button for 30+ seconds
- forget about the phone for on hour
- try to insert the battery only and boot...
Didn't help, thanks for the suggestion....

Well, new motherboard, same IMEI, free.
Just before warranty ended.
