I want to put some my gif files on screen and know animated gif widget demo which can do that. However, it can't be found in market now. Is there any other app or method ?? Or it is pleasure who can give the download link of animated gif widget.

I just replaced my dutty Leo R2 with Dutty's Leo R4 rom
under the settings - personalize - home wallpaper there are weather, animated and still wallpaper options....
i understand the still wallpaper but can't get the weather and animated wallpapers to work...
can somebody tell me which kind of files i should use so they would work? avi, pmeg-4 or something else?
does anybody has an example of those wallpaper that they could upload?
also, i'm using Max TF3D v.2.5 All in One Layout 1.4c... is it possible that because of that i can use them?

The weather wallpaper just allows for the animated weather display, based on your home weather conditions. With maxycy 1.4c installed you can get the weather animation with the still wallpaper (and it disables the weather wallpaper). (I'm not sure what the animated wallpaper does as i haven't tried this.)
for animated wallpapers were used .gif files , i think...
i can also flash duttys leo r5, wich has build-in animated wallpapers...
It actually is neither a .swf nor is it a .gif. It is a scripted manila file.

do you know which manila file it is? also can it be edited when you say scripted manila file? is there any editor we can use to edit it this and make our own animated manila files? that would be cool!
Been looking fo this for almost a month and couldnt find any solution, perhaps it is just like what was said, somethign related to manila itself not a gif or swf !

I don't need interactivity in my wallpapers, I just want them to move
So I tried setting a .gif as a wallpaper, but it doesn't move past the first image.
So the questions is: How can you set a .gif as a wallpaper (so that it moves)

Are you asking about the wallpaper scrolling between homescreens. If yes, GIF wallpapers also scroll.
And the color quality of GIF will be low.

No he wants moving wallpaper (with animations) but not "live", in other words he wants to put animation as his wp, so it moves, but you cant interact with it.

There was an app that did this. It created an "Empty Livewallpaper" and allowed you to put your animated GIF in it, essentially doing what you are looking for. However, it seems to have been pulled from the market. (Obviously, the reviews were not that good)

well wally was removed from market but i found an app called animGIF livewallpaper 2 but, unfortunately you need live wallpaper support so if your looking not for interactiveness on custom roms but just for the looks of a gif id suggest getting that and getting a live wallpaper compatible rom.

I use the stock ROM rooted which only comes with only about 4 or 5 wallpapers embedded into the Wallpaper Gallery menu however I decompiled the TwWallpaperChooser.apk and found there's waaaay more wallpapers than what the OS actually allows us to choose from... In the end I would like to have all the wallpapers shown under the Wallpaper Gallery menu. Can anyone help with this? Anyone??

The wallpaper gallery is an APK file that has the 5 wallpapers built into it. You could possibly open the APK with 7zip and copy the wallpapers into the right folder then re-install the APK with thew new items. This is theory, not yet tested.
Is't possible to port the S4 clock widget? I installed the APEX launcher with S4 theme but it doesnt have a clock widget that looks like the S4...it would be nice if somebody knows about it. Thanks

Can't get animated gif's to run as a wallpaper. Never had this problem with other phones. If I install a live wallpaper app it will run animated.
