I asked myself this question and I searched for a year. I installed and uninstalled everything that moves on the market and we are left with two: 9s-weather and weather Palmary.

A little launcher help on CM7 RC2......

I just got on the CM7 RC2 and downloaded a app to have the senses flip clock and weather. At the help website for the widget it says that if your not on the stock htc launcher the clock wil not show animation (no flip clock). My question is, since I'm on CM7 RC2 and it comes pre-loaded with AWD launcher, how do I get back to the stock launcher? Or is there another launcher I can use to get the flip clock?

Sounds like tha app requires HTC Sense, which CM7 doesn't have. There are a few Sense based ROMs available however, check the sticky for a list of ROMs.

Yep I think you're right. The flip clocks are usually extracted or based on Sense ROMs, and won't have animations on AOSP ROMs.
The clocks still work though, why is the animation that big of a deal? Check out Fancy Widget and Beautiful Widgets in the market. They have a lot of similar clocks etc.

Its not a big deal. I don't use AWD for anything but the battery%. I thought it would be just an easy fix. I'm useing fancy widgets pro and have the H7C clock and weather skin.

The thing is, its not that you're using ADW, its that you're using an AOSP ROM, not a Sense ROM.

Best Toggle Switch Program?...

Title says it all. I have seen a bunch of them, but haven't really found any good reviews of them all... e.g. a comparison. What do you all use?
Personally, I find the built in HTC ones to be the best I've used. Beautiful Widgets has some but I think they're not quite as good as HTC's.
I agree with frankspin; I have tried beautiful widgets but I find I prefer HTC's also.

I dunno about live wallpapers but Sense 3.0 ROMS have a pretty sweet weather lockscreen animation. Works well to satisfy the craving for pretty looking weather goodies.

Have you taken a look at "Mystic Halo Live Wallpaper" there is a free version and .99 cent version available in the market.

I think the HTC animated weather is much better.. smooth .. clean .. no lag..
but that is also just a weather app that pops up at start and then goes away which is nice .. but am looking for a really good live weather wallpaper..
the go weather is a very good app same as be weather .. be weather does not have a live wallpaper.. Boo...
Go weather has one .. but it doesnt seem to work very well.. maybe that is the problem.. it requires too much system power and memory to run one properly..
I'm not having any issues with go weather. Our phones are branded with different roms so we are going to experience different issues.

go weather for backgrounds, yes
i'm partial to fancy widgets myself.

HTC sense clock that works with the Samsung Galaxy S3

I just came from a HTC device and now have the SGS3, now i really miss the htc clock in both sizes, 4x2,4x1. I have looked on the internet for these clocks but i cannot find any.. If someone has the apk's of these clocks for the sgs3 and could upload these on this post than i would really appreciatie it!!
Thanks
Same, I want the clock on nexus 7 and my dhd has a ROM with no sense. Makes no sense to me lol
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
For sense clock, you can't port it to SGS3 because it needs sense framework to work.
But you can try Beautiful Widgets from the store.
Nearly same look. Just unlock animations are different.
Hi,
Maybe you can take a look at this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721809&highlight=sense+clock
And maybe keep it in a bookmark:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1799417&highlight=sense+clock, but actually no support for hdpi devices (certainly in the future, "more version are on the way") with animated flip clock
And from the Gnex section, with a 4*1 widget: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576980&highlight=sense+clock
I have found the "3D Flip Clock & World Weather" app gives me the clock most like the one I used on my HTC desire.
moji weather, one of my dev friends in china made a perfectly looking skin of the one x clock for moji weather, just search for cc in the app. it is actually a perfect copy of the sense clock

For 4x1 you can try Fancy widgets

fancy widget is the closest version to htc one, but it has no flip numbers. also sense won't be available
A few days late in replying but I just got my gs3 a few days ago and managed to install a clock apk that was developed by the team elegancia guys in the sensation forums. It is a themed version of the sense clock and works ok, only bottom part is a bit cut out.
Sent from my GT-I9300T
Also have another app that I used on my old desire hd that works ok as well. Again, it's a bit cut out and not meant for gs3 but still works.

trying to find a good weather widget, post your screenshots

I feel like i have tried every weather widget and cant seem to find a nice one. they either drain the battery (i like the refresh on wake setting) or the graphics are blah. i'm looking for one with a crisp HD look, transparency settings, and the ability to customize a little so i am asking if a few of you wouldnt mind posting a screenshot of your widget and give a little info on it to see if maybe there is something out there i havent tried or tried but didnt realize the potential haha. Thanks!!

The best weather widget personally is pre built into htc sense :'( i loved the weather widget from sense 4.1 but a good alternative is bz weather clear animations and doesn't chew battery up...

I use the transparent stock widget from the S4. Its nice especially if you use custom wallpapers or you just don't like tacky, bulky looking widgets on your home screen.
Beautiful Widgets and HD Widgets are both crisp. HD Widgets is higher end thus uses more cpu and system resources. Personally BW suits my liking, light on system usage, lots of cusomized themes, it has a nice lockscreen widget as well.

i have used BW in the past, i did like the customized themes but for some reason stopped (i think because i was in search of a flip clock that was as smooth as some of the sense ones that actually flip nicely, i gave up lol) its been awhile so i will have to give it another run.
