Reviews & First Impressions of Acer 7" Iconia Tab A100 8/16GB - $330/350 - Acer Iconia Tab A100

PCWorld review (3.5 out of 5). Mostly positive, despite the middle-of-the-pack scoring.
http://www.pcworld.com/article/237857/acer_iconia_tab_a100_reinvents_7inch_tablets.html
First impression and pics from ThisIsMyNext. Crashing apps seem to be a common refrain.
http://thisismynext.com/2011/08/12/acers-iconia-tab-a100-—-7-inch-honeycomb-tablet-—-sale-330/
Review from Engadget isn't quite as rosy (5 out of 10):
http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/12/acer-iconia-tab-a100-review/
CNet review (3.5 out of 5):
http://reviews.cnet.com/pdas/acer-iconia-tab-a100/4505-3127_7-34858843.html
Edit: Viewing angle was cited as a problem in both PCWorld & Engadget reviews, with Engadget using stronger language (I believe the word the reviewer is looking for is "solarization").
A standout negative for Engad is the short battery life. From its announcement specs, the A100 has half the batt capacity of the A500, so this isn't surprising. PCWorld didn't run a batt test in time for its review.
Some FC's were also noted in Engad's piece. Probable culprit is the res difference.
Edit 2: CNet's review said that the display panel is TN. Short battery life is also noted, as is the small price difference between the A100 & A500 (USD$395 vs $350).
Overall, assessments are mixed. With recent price drops for the 10"ers, the A100 could also use a $50 drop. My guess is that that will happen a month after release. The rumored Amazon 7" will probably be the main competition.
.

Nice review, thanks for posting.

Thanks for the post.

Indeed. What's 3.2 like on the 10" tabs it's available on? Stable? Crashing as much?

>Stable? Crashing as much?
From Xoom General, I've not seen crash reports specifically attributed to the new 3.2.

I was considering this device and just saw the 1,530 mAh battery specs. The streak 7 has 2780 mAh's. The galaxy tab's is 4000 mAh's.

Bear in mind that the Tegra 2 uses FAR less power than the Streak 7 or original Tab did.

The streak 7 is a tegra 2 device. Maybe you mean HC. But that isnt so significant. Because if it had higher capacity it would last longer. It has the capacity of a phone device not a tablet. This might win in the phone space but loses in the tablet space.
It has stock HC so updates should be quick from google, no middleman. One thing about the reviews I notice is they are complaining that acer didnt do anything to the os!! Are they f'ning kidding? Dont encourage these middlemen to f up the os and pervent updates. I really like the device, the look of the front is nice, they should have keep that dark blue along the back. I wouldnt dismiss it because of that, but the battery is too poor.

I do apologise, you're right about the Streak 7, I was thinking of the original Streak.
Still, the Streak 7 has a 3g radio in it, the A100 does not, and also runs on an older version of Android. I guess we'll have to wait until reviews of the battery performance appear to be able to tell for sure how the performance differs.
If they release the A101 with the same battery, that could be an issue.

I think the engadget review is way too harsh on the overall score. The reviewer didn't really have many bad things to say about the device outside of the battery life, so a 50% score is just uncalled for.

I myself was referring to the wifi only streak 7 since thats what I have experience with(I should have said so), but the 3g version has the same battery anyways. I got, say, 4 1/2 hours from the wifi only streak 7 on 2.2.2 and less on honeystreak and thats with more capacity. So lets compare wifi only vs wifi only.
wifi only
a100 1,530 mAh
streak7 2780 mAh's
3g
a100 ?/1,530 mAh
streak7 2780 mAh's
Its capacity is less no matter how optimized HC is. They skimped on the battery plan and simple. I probably wouldnt pay the 200 price I payed for the streak 7 even though it has HC or I would and if the battery life is as poor as I suspect, I'd just return it. I returned the streak 7 because it didnt have official HC.

Well, Acer are claiming 4.5 hours of video watching with the A100, so I guess it's going to be a suck it and see. The A500 gives WAY more battery life than advertised, so who knows?
I should have my hands on one of these sometime early September, so I'll find out then.

I think so too.. I am thinking of buying an android tablet and it seemed a very good choice...

There really isn't too much bad to say outside battery which is a solid 5 hours. Screen is just OK but responsive. There were a few crashes here and there on my first day. I like it better than the far more expensive Xoom.

Acer 7" Iconia Tab worthy choice

I just bought the a100 and am awaiting paitently(not) for the delivery. Even though reviews weren't that great I bought it mainly becuase it has the specs of a highend tablet with the smaller form factor so to me it will be more portable. I'll also give some initial impressions once I get it. There are going to be some bugs as this is the first 7 inch device with HC3.2 so I expect some issues, but it will be fun to play with once I root and start debloating.

I wouldn't buy those small laptops. Small screen. Small horse power

Sad
I wanted one of these, but in Australia they selling 8G version and the price is way over the A501 which I own. Sad like the USB they have.
No Go for me

Ankher 1900 Vs Genuine Extended Battery

Is there much difference between the two? Currently have the Ankher, thinking of getting the official extended battery.
Is there much point?

Think youll find i have. There are several thread on the Ankher 1900Mah, and several threads on the Genuine extended. Care to have a pop at the thread starters of them topics?.
Ive also searched through each of the threads, and found nothign specific to my query.
I was looking for someone who has used both of these batteries and can tell if there is a significant benfit in jumping to the official 2000mah from the 1900 Ankher.

Hi mate, fancy seeing you in a place like this.
Yea, moved on since my Symbian days & never been happier. Symbian was great in it's day but was spoiled by slow operating system & crap build quality. First got the Galaxy S & was delighted with it, so now moved up to the S2. Love this phone.
Nice to meet you again.
Better stop now or I will be accused of going off topic. See you soon.
Ankers are not 1900mah but 1600 or 1650 (dont remember for sure but this is what's printed on the cell under the anker wrapping). It's also confrmed by the fact that anker battery lasts same as stock samsung battery. Based on that official 2000mah should last longer but I never had one to confirm from personal experience . Howevet I'm very happy with 2 anker batteries and desktop sharger that I bought for 1/3 of price of official 2000mah battety. 95% of times I swap batteries instead of charging phone. My case is hybrid silicone / hard plastic. I removed stock battery cover plate as case covers the back anyway. When the battery runs down it takes me 10 secs to swap it + with 3 batteries(4800mah) I have 2.5 times more power then extended bat.
Arrived this morning the extended battery. Firt impressions.
I think i prefer the thickness of the phone now. One plus point is that the Camera area now has some protection when itslaid on its back, Isn't being laid straight on the lens.
The heavyness of the phone. Not sure, oesn't seem that heavy to me, but then, i had a Sony Ericsson X10i before this, so its probably on parr with that on weight
Will fully charge it up, and see how i get on.

What about overheating with the samsung new battery? My phone overheats even on running basic HD games on the default battery. Shucks I know. I am thinking of getting hands on 2000 battery but I will not buy it if it has the same overheat problems because I've heard that Anker battery doesn't cause much overheat issues.

of course it gets warm you're running something processor/graphics intensive..... And if you think a cheap Anker battery is going to be better than an OEM battery you're a fool.

The anker batteries are high quality...Even when i run games such as 9mm or PES 2012 the phone never over-heats. And the surprising amount of extra battery life whilst keeping the same size is really amazing. So don't go talking about things that you know nothing about. And if your still going to fight me on this then maybe you should check some of the reviews on amazon about it then maybe you could come to your sense and not call it " a cheap Anker battery".
I mean no offence with this but I'm tired of people talking about something whilst not knowing anything about it.
so call me a fool then i guess
I am using the 1900mAh Anker batteries and based on my experience they do last longer compared to the stock 1650mAh. And yes there is no phone heating issues at all.
but hey this is just me sharing my experience. you can call it cheap, because the price really is, $20 dollars for two of them. Cheap when it comes to price, but quality-wise then its worth every cent i paid for. Again this is just me. Maybe the gadget gurus know better if they have tried them

[Q] Key Factor: Battery Life

Hey,
Like many of you, I am extremely interested in the HTC One X. However, my one concern is the battery life - and is the only thing that is preventing me from pre-ordering one (and claiming the free MediaLink HD included with phones4u).
I currently have a Motorola Milestone, and have had so for around 26 months now - I believe the battery in that is about 1,450mAh - however, is effectively dead now getting no more than two hours solid use (apps). Now, I could easily go and buy a new battery for the Milestone - but won't as I am hoping to upgrade within a month.
My concern is therefore the non-removable, 1,800mAh battery found in the One X. Does anyone have any idea how long the One X will last with a good amount of usage, as I don't want to buy a phone that is going to have a poor battery life, that will become even worse within one year (two year contracts, after all)?
Thanks
My Galaxy Nexus with 1750mah battery, roughly the same size screen (4.65"), also 720p but different screen tech lasted about 3h10m screen on time on average :/
Which was obviously poor, but there are lots of factors that will affect this HTC, eg better processor (with companion core), Super LCD 2 might be more energy efficient plus HTC software should hopefully result in better battery but I'm not holding out for anymore than 4 hour screen on time tbh
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Also as far as lasting the length of the contract goes, according to their website carphone warehouse offer 24 month warranty for the phone, 12 for accessories and battery.
So if it was to get worse you'd be able to send it off for repair and they'd probably just replace as I doubt they'd be able to fix it with it being unibody.

Hmm, going to change settings on my Milestone to see what battery life I get out of that without touching it (screen on). I would be disappointed with 4 hours screen time to be fair.

Truth be told, the reason I did not buy Galaxy Nexus was because the poor battery life and 16GB storage. If you go to gsmerana.com and find the galaxy nexus battery result, you'd be suprise because GN is MOST worst battery life test expecially in web browsing roughly survive 3 hour in GSM model.

This one don't worry about it. In my research, I found out that when on idle, HTC One X will use the fifth core to save battery life. Whenever you watch video(this one most benefit to me ), it's up to 60% of power saving using 4 cores which is 12 hours. The lack of mirco SD card also helped to improve performance and battery life since don't require additional card reading. 4 cores actually increase performance while increase battery life when browsing, gaming, video and others.

I too wonder this. I guess the overall finish looks slightly better without a removable back cover. The lack of the MicroSD slot is not a big deal for me, simply because of the good amount of internal storage - and the 25gb Dropbox storage that comes included. I am trying to hold out from pre-ordering, with the (bleak) hope of seeing the Galaxy S3 event announced before the 5th of April. I guess the majority of deals available will still be available after the release.
Another problem for me, is HTC's habit of releasing an unnecessary number of phones a year, compared to the S series which is an annual flagship affair. Having said that, I have never been a fan of the "Home" button on the S3 - but that wouldn't stop me buying it if it topped the One X on the majority of key features (erm, a removable battery for a start?)

Actually I see no point of having removable battery cover because when you dropped a phone, the phone will actually break out..battery cover, battery and even worst SIM-card. My father has damaged his phone because of constantly dropping phone and I have to repair it piece by piece. About your second problem, don't worry about it. HTC already stated that they will focus on "Quality" not "Quantity". That is why you saw One-series were based on this idea.

The sim card wouldn't fall out if it is kept in the place it is now. The issue is the battery is really small (at first glance) for such a powerful phone, and if you can't even carry a spare..
I have had most HTC phones in the last 3 years. I have never had to use my spare.
What i do have though is my small APC portable battery pack

Try to compare with Galaxy nexus regarding battery..
HTC one x has,
- larger battery
- SLCD2, which uses less power over amoled
- tegra 3 has companion core too
So, to compare to the latest nexus, the ONE X should offer much better battery.
..... So, cant be too bad.

1% over night with the atp? with or without doc?
That would mean, since the htc one x has 1800mah, and the transformer has 6930mah, that we lose 3-4% over night, which is pretty good.

Yet Another Mugen 4500mAh Review

Mugen 4500mAH Battery with Extended Back Cover
TL;DR VERSION
Pros:
Really effing works
Good build quality with good materials (except for kickstand plastic)
Thoughtful kickstand on included battery cover
Well-known and respected manufacturer
Cons:
Expensive
Heavy and bulky
No matter how well-designed, it still makes the Note look ridiculous
Bottom Line:
It's a good buy. You own a Note, so you're likely not one to be too particular about fancy looks, unlike all the iPhone fans who jeered the phone/tablet/phonelet/tablone just after seeing the one Superbowl ad. It may be pricey, but you get what you pay for; I've read horror stories about cheap Chinese batteries that would make you think twice about trying them out.
LONG VERSION
This will probably be my first and only useful post on XDA for a while, as I'm not yet very well versed in rooting or installing ROMs or any of the fancy programmer stuff the forum is well associated with. I'm more of a hardware and accessories guy, which is why things like batteries, cases and car mounts all interest me more than having the most bleeding-edge firmware updates.
That said, this isn't going to be a professional review in the style of Engadget or Anandtech, with their fancy charts and pinpoint accurate usage statistics. First of all I don't have the means to do this, let alone the time. Secondly, that stuff isn't important to me; I'm just a guy who wants more battery life out of his Galaxy Note, nevermind the to-the-second timestamps of usage statistics with varying settings and applications applied. (Also I just really don't have the time!)
On to the (laymen's) review.
Phone specs
I'm not sure if this really matters all that much when reviewing battery life, but for those nitpick-y enough to care, here it is (basically, it's all stock):
Samsong Galaxy Note GTN-7000

Functionality
I'm a heavy user. I also use my phone a lot. Sometimes it's not even to play a game or open an app, or even to see if anything new is in the notifications bar. I just really want to see the screen on, because man oh man is the display on this phone the stuff of wet dreams!
On the stock battery I get about 14 hours of life. It's not bad, but there's a caveat; when it starts getting low, I stop using my phone except for the most crucial of SMS/calling needs. I don't turn off WiFi/3G/background apps, no. I just stop using the Note. This is why I almost NEVER unplug the phone. In fact, for more hours of the day my Note is plugged in to one charger or another: on the daily commute, it's in my car mount; at work, I borrowed the office's Blackberry Playbook wall charger (nobody uses it anyway (oh snap)); at home, it's either on the included AC USB adapter or plugged into my laptop for charging all night long. The only time it's usually unplugged is when I'm walking, out shopping/watching movies at the mall, or at a friend's place; basically, whenever I'm not in the car, at work, or at home.
On the Mugen battery, for purposes of this review, I managed just shy of 22.5 hours (the screenshots below end after 21h56m38s, but it kept going until around 9:30am). I made it a point to not plug in to any source of power during the usage period (duh). I went all out, not holding back any punches, with WiFi and 3G always on, Trillian and Google+ running constantly in the background, and racing to finish "A Storm of Swords" on the Kindle app. This is my usual usage, and I decided to throw in some 30-odd minutes of gaming, about two hours of video, and even some Google Hangout time.
I fell asleep at midnight that night and woke up at 6:00am, allowing about 6.5 hours of off-screen standby time.
Now, let it be clear that no matter what apps or services you have running in the background, the real battery killer on this phone (and I'd imagine any smartphone) is the display. I always keep the brightness setting on Auto because a big part of the experience satisfaction for me is looking at my phone, and I really don't want to have to feel like I have cataracts when I glance at the screen. On the Battery Usage screen, Display always hovers around the 50% mark for me. It only ever gets passed by Android OS when I really don't want to look at my phone, usually during times of extreme hunger or loneliness.
Given that, I'd say 16 hours with an almost constantly-on screen and 6.5 hours standby is not bad at all. And for 22.5 hours of my life, I was completely unburdened by the necessity of a source of charging. Free at last!
Aesthetics & Ergonomics
Free to look like a total bozo. It's bad enough that, for non-headset users, we have to hold a 5.3" slab of plastic and aluminum to our faces when making a call. The feeling is amplified by it suddenly becoming twice as thick as it usually is.
But we're not iPhonerds so we don't care, right?
Well, we care a little bit. You'll notice your phone doesn't lay flat on the table anymore. It looks like it floats because of the tapered design of the back cover, but that's less cool than it sounds because you know it's only floating due to its large butt. Yes, the extended case comes with a kickstand, but when you're actually using it is the only time you'll be thankful for its largeness. Worst of all, if you've already purchased accessories and car mounts for your Note, you'll find that all of a sudden none of them are compatible with your expensive phone.
On the plus side, the extra thickness does make it seem like it's easier to hold. The scale design on the back cover is not only classy but adds extra grip to it as well, and the tabs seem to snap into the grooves even more securely than the stock backplate.
Bottom Line
It's a good buy. You own a Samsung Galaxy Note, so you're likely not one to be too particular about fancy looks, unlike all the iPhone fans who jeered the phone/tablet/phonelet/tablone just after seeing the one Superbowl ad. It may be pricey, but you get what you pay for; I've read horror stories about cheap Chinese batteries that would make you think twice about trying them out.
hey bro shall we compare mugen 4500mah vs hyperion 5000mah battery??
if yes please tell me what settings ur using
like display brightness
LWP
edge/2g/3g
etc
Nice review! Still considering the hyperion battery though since I'm trying to save some money but will definitely look into getting the Mugen for long term

Nice work. Coming from the official HTC HD2 extended battery I'm not afraid of adding extra bulk to the note. However, seeing that Mugen created cases for other phone + battery combos I'm waiting for them to do that for the Note before I pull the trigger.
Hey thanks for the feedback, guys! I'm glad it helped you in some small way.
In just received word from a Mugen representative that they're going to release an upgraded version of this battery: 5400mAh! He didn't say anything on pricing but I'm assuming it's still the same at 99USD. We'll be setting the official announcement tomorrow.

Sure, sankeerths! My usual settings are:
Brightness: auto (but for accuracy of comparison, I'll set it to 100%)
Stock ROM, kernel, everything
3g always on
Wifi always on
the following apps are almost always on:
Onanvo
Trillian
Google+
I don't use juicedefender or other battery-saving apps.
Which is the new thickness of the note with the mugen battery?

I don't have a good caliper to measure this. I have a crappy one that measures the stock thickness of the phone as 11mm (that's a lot more than the 9.65mm you can research online). With the Mugen case, it measures a hefty 21mm.
Please note that my caliper is not precise or accurate, but it's all I have at the moment and it still gives the fair approximate observation that the battery case will just about double the phone's thickness.
I actually contacted mugen if a trade in is possible. Damn I bought the 4500mah at ard USD 109, and now with higher capacity and lessser price? I feel real bad about it. haha
Hey guys, i have just read that MUGEN is upgrading the 4500mAh [HLI-N7000XL] battery to 5400mAh starting yesterday according to mugen facebook, will be able for ordering from 20th of april or something. They are claiming it to be the same size same shell only with even bigger capacity.(i guess the price will remain the same also, no idea)
Meanwhile the review of 4500mAh version in PICTURES, for those who is interested about the size:

Is there a case which is compatible with the Mugen bulky back? I have the battery but would like to protect my phone somehow.

I couldn't find any site to give dimensions on it. Appearance-wise it looks right, but I guess we won't know until someone slaps it in and tests it.
I can't find it on eBay by myself... Thanks for the link.
Wouldn't risk buying and using it though..

The battery has part number LG BL-T7. This is the battery that is in the G2 i believe. Also it has already been confirmed the G2 battery is not the same dimensions so it will not fit our N5's.

Yep, didn't notice the BL-T7 before you pointed it out. That said the issue with the T7 was the stepped design that made it thicker. This one appears flat like the T9 that comes in the N5. So there is a possibility if the stepped design wasn't used that the battery could fit.
Personally I have no battery issues, the thing lasts all day for me and then some. However if I ever did have battery issues it would be nice to know there was something to upgrade to.
Seems like too much trouble for a phone that doesn't really have battery problems anyway.

Just because you and I and some others have no issues doesn't mean there's not legions of others who do. Like I said, I have no issues despite medium use, but I know many people that use their phones differently than I who need a beefier battery. Seeing as how it's not too terribly difficult to get to the battery, if there is a 3000mah one that works with our phones, why not let those people who need it use it?
You and I are most assuredly in the minority of people with no battery issues though, of that I'm certain.

But for those people who do need more battery, what's a 3000mah really going to do? Give you another couple hours? They'd be better served getting an external battery that would double their phone time and still only be the size of a tube of lipstick rather than tear their phones apart and void their warranties.

I don't disagree with you, but just playing with numbers, if the phone lasts 10 hours with the 2300, then it would be over 13 hours with a 3000, could be the difference between finding a charger mid day and not worrying about it. For some people the few hours is all the difference so why carry around a charger when you only need a few more?
Again though, I don't disagree with you, it's just that with the immense diversity in the way people use their phones, there isn't an easy solution to apply to all. For some the stock is good, for some a couple extra hours is what they need, and for others they'll need an external battery pack, just all depends on the user and their needs.

Better ask yourself why Google doesn't want you to change the battery.
For me a changeable battery is a must-have. I'm a heavy user, and this is my first Nexus device (since Samsung Galaxies und HTCs). Since it does not have a changeable battery I'm using now a anker power bank which charges the Nexus5 pretty fast. But this does it hurt my Nexus battery? What if my Nexus battery is crap? Looking at my old S3 und old HTC devices this happend to me.
Looks like the seller is under the impression that the nexus 5 32gb came with a 3000mah battery like some of the rumors suggested. My guess is that the seller isn't up to date with his information. I highly doubt this battery fits......but if someone wants to go for it be my guest and report back please :laugh::laugh::good::good:

This was my thoughts too.
As for the others saying 3000mah wouldn't be worth the swap should watch the iFixit teardown. It is stupid simple to do a 1 time swap. Also my battery generally last the whole day but i have had a few where i needed to plug it in to keep it form prematurely dying on me when i needed to use it. I am a guy that likes to have as little items as possible. I have 2 keys on my key ring, my car, and my house, no bling keychains. So carrying a external power bank is my last choice. While at work i just plug it in when needed, which has been never so far. But on weekends is where i find it falling short as i tend to use the phone more.
tagging along
The problem is going to be, even if someone does make a battery that is compatible with the Nexus 5, its going to be some no name Chinese battery and it will never actually live up to the mah rating that its sold as. So even if they do sell a "3000 mah" battery for the Nexus 5, it would be amazing if the real rating of the battery was even 2500mah. Unless these no name battery companies have really upped their game in the last year or two, they almost never actually deliver the battery capacities that they list.
I personally wouldn't buy batteries from ebay. Too much risk for the amount of savings. Best case scenario is that it doesn't hold the stated charge, worse case is that it explodes on you like so many reports have indicated with people using no name third party accessories.
sorry the link

I've bought two different OEM batteries made in China for my netbook and both are poor quality despite the manufacturer's claims. Unfortunately I could not find any Japanese or Korean cells. I'm not going to gamble on putting an OEM battery inside my Nexus.
Lol. Larger capacity batteries, and in original size? There's no official manufacturer and can only be bought from ebay? Sounds like the various ones mentioned in the other flagship forums, like the S4. The story usually turns out the same. Someone baits desperate readers in, then when buyers get it, a bunch of them come back saying they don't see a difference despite advertised of being +25% larger, calling it a fraud. Buy only if you are susceptible to the placebo affect.

Is this 6000 mAh a good battery for 20x?

HI guys. I'm very interested in buying this 6000 battery? and i wanna know if its a good legit battery for my 20x.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33047747490.html?spm=a2g0o.search0305.0.0.34b96217yInvge&algo_pvid=aba6baae-5371-44ba-bab7-97a87ae71e6f&algo_expid=aba6baae-5371-44ba-bab7-97a87ae71e6f-1&btsid=0bb0623316212957389992031ed1e8&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
And how do you came to your conclusion?
It comes with a 5000 mAh battery, right?
This one is 6000... how could it possible be legit!!! The manufacturer squeezes in as much battery as is safe and possible!
Replace with OEM only.

If it was a compatible graphene cell I be tempted but otherwise it's a high risk venture.
When an Li fails it's not a pretty picture and can easily destroy the phone.

Yes a graphene battery would be ideal if one were compatible for the 20X. Amazon sells graphene batteries but how would one make them compatible inside the phone takes guesswork.

The power controller/hardware as well as firmware would likely be incompatible.
You would need to modify the battery connection as well. If you could find one with the right dimensions the phone would be likely incapable of super fast charging it.
Be nice if a company made retrofits for older phones but this seems unlikely.
So... keep throwing Li's at it
I may go to replacing them every 6-12 months. The ignorance/fear factor is gone in me. Routine maintenance now.

Yeah I hear you. Honestly I dont mind replacing my 20x's battery. But I'm headed down that end of the road for the phone for sure as its showing its age and wrinkles. It may be time to replace it with another phone with better, up to date specs as I'm eyeing the black shark 3 pro and note 20.
The 2 issues with the BS3 pro are the camera and battery. In reviews its cam isnt that good which is a downer and the battery drains fast despite its 5000 mah capacity. The Note 20 on the other hand has a very sharp screen but its still small relative to the 20X.
I'm caught between a rock and a hard place in deciding which phone is best. Ideally if there were an ultra crisp amoled phone with the same screen size and aspect ratio as the 20X I'd jump at the chance of buying it in a heartbeat.

Other than the battery it's aging very well.
Got 5 years out of my S4+ with only battery replacement so...
