Indestrubile case for retarded girl friend. - Atrix 4G Accessories

Ok, she broke the second Atrix. The first one she dropped and cracked the screen so I got a rubber case for the replacement.
This time she left it on top of the car and it got ran over by a truck.
Since our health care provider doesn't cover brain transplant, can anyone recommend some kind of industrial war proof hard case or something for the Atrix?
EDIT: Sorry for the bad spelling. Her retardation is contagious.

get one of those helmets that you see some mentally retarded people wear for the phone. otherwise, i think you should... wait for it... wait for it... keep on having patience. i mean you either have to deal with it, because you're obviously dogging her for being "retarded" and staying with her, so that makes you the guy with the retarded girl or you're just going to have to love every phone she breaks. i mean love her for who she is.

...Are you being serious? >.>
Go in the house and smash the stove with a hammer everytime she does something wrong. Worked for me.
But in regards to the case;
I work in a factory operating an oversized grab forklift. I have the otter box defender case, and have dropped it out of the forklift all together heaps of times, no physical damage. Though, its bulky and not very lady like.
I stick by my original advice to take a hammer to her stove though.

I have the otter box commuter and love it. Its just like the ballistic except the commuter has covers for all the ports.

I've got that, broke several phones on it. When it's EOL (and they can't fix it) they give you credit toward a new phone. Killer deal.
Edit: I also have an Otterbox on mine but that's only because I worked in the field for a long time, losing your phone mid-day kind of sucks.

I'm surprised that no one has commented on how cheap the kickstand feels. It's a pain to pull out the kick stand and when you do take it out it feels like it might break doing so. I'm returning this case and will get something better for $32. It's a 6/10 in my books.
I got the blk/clear purple case they offer for $21. Bumper all around the edges too. Loving it so far.

then i must have a defective one. every edge is sharp. along the power button, volume... and all around everything. i really hate going to that sprint store. there's a minimum of 45min wait for each visit i've had in the last 2 months.
first time looking at it through a loop. where the top and bottom seams join there's an excess of plastic which is causing my sharp edges. i could just file them down instead of going to the store. that was my original plan.
Using mini ziplock bag till a better case comes out. All touch actions work fine.

I love sprint techs :P

So I got my epic 4g, flashed it to hell and back, and somewhere along the line my usb port shorted so I couldn't Odin back to stock. Brought it back and they said that even though it was rooted, they would order me a replacement, if I told him how to root his E4GT. cool and everything, but...
Well, then came the day I was going in to exchange it...I was skating there and I hit a rock and my phone flew about 20 feet away. The screen was DESTROYED. Brought it back to the sprint store hoping for the best...handed it to the tech and she looked at me like I was insane, then handed me my new phone. Then she asked if I was on xda and smiled and said hell yes:3 I then ran out of the store before someone came and took it back xP So thank you sprint techs that are awesome and root their phones and stuff, you saved my ass.

Buy a tpu case. It is like 9.99 on Amazon and has saved my phone a number of times. Once my headphone cord got hooked on a door and caused me to throw my phone to the floor (not drop, throw lol). Picked it up and the phone was fine.
You will have to cut the volume rocker out of the case. It is insanely hard to press for some reason. I used a knife and scissors to cut the volume rocker out of the case, was easy to do, once you get the hole you can almost finish by hand just by tearing it.

as of right now, sprint really doesn't have a policy about phones that are rooted other than putting it back to stock. If the problem is still there after the stock rom is on the phone, then it is still covered. tell you the truth if your nice to the techs and let them know its rooted they most likey won't care... atleast i wouldn't
Stop playing basketball with your phone! and congrats they helped ya in the pinch
Seriously guys almost all of us (techs at sprint) are rooted and rommed and could care less if you are, but there really are times when it can help us get things taken care of faster if you just say it and don't try to deny it. We still cover all the same stuff we would if you weren't rooted. Plus its cool to see some of the stuff people have running on their phones

Good luck it's a great job. Could pay better, but free cell phone bill, decent benefits package, plenty of opportunities to get free phones, being around technology all the time...I love it. Plus it's easy as cake, so long as you have customer service and/or inventory experience. (Being tech oriented, of course, is an assumption lol)

This is why people buy bulky cases

It seems like everytime i open a thread about a maximum protection case someone is saying how stupid it is to buy such a thin phone then put a case like an otterbox or ballistic on it.
Heres the thing, id be willing to bet that atleast 1/4 of the users on xda do some type of physical labor work such as construction since its is one of the most profitable industries right now. I myself install fire protection sprinkler systems which is a very physical job. I have a nextel for work but lets face it we all cant go 10 mins without our smartphone lol.
People want to be able to take out sleek sexy thin phones into these hazardous enviroments and not have to worry about breaking them. Heck i remember when i had my treo 650 back in the day i stuffed it in a sock lol. And the sad part is most of the threads i read on here where a phone was dropped or whatever it dosent involve work or doing something hazardous. Its something like oh my friend was checking it out and dropped it or i got out my car and forgot it was in my lap. Then there showing pics of broken screens and scuffed up corners. I can say that right now there are only 3 cases i trust to put on my phone and thats a ballistic maxx and otterbox defender which i have both and the case mate phantom looks to be tough besides that i dont trust any seidio, body glove, tpu, bumper or incipio case on my phone. Because since ive had my phone its dont fell out my lap while getting out my car, ive dropped it off ladders and i think the ultimate test was when my gf was riding super man ride of steele at 6 flags she was holding her phone up and when she hit a hard turn guess what went flying out of her hand.....thats right a shine new s3 but she has the pink ballistic maxx on her phone. It dropped about 50 feet onto the concrete.
When we found it the case was dirty but after she wiped it it was if nothing happened. So for the people who think that those of us who put premium cases on our phones our idiots this is just a few reasons why i do it bc with out these bsllistics its safe to say me and my gf both would of done destroyed our phones. You mite say well dont be so clumsy and i can respect that but if you can throw a case on your phone that allows you not to worry about accidents hey why not.......plus my gfs phone was recording the whole time lol what s cool video lol

Secondly, the incident with the phone and the roller coaster, she deserved it.
Lastly it comes down to preference. Some people prefer the big cases because they want to protect their investment or make the phone easier to grip etc. Others prefer to keep the phone sleek and sexy and can do without the phone as they are pretty careful

Honestly I think badly fitting loose cases probably have more protection because if you drop it that gap should give the case a bit of spring when it hits and less energy goes into the phone.

Toddler threw wife's Sensation in a coffee cup

We do have a subsidized phone available through T-Mo, so I'm inclined to use that.
GS3 seems like the obvious choice, but I'm loathe to hand her electronics destroying hands a new phone (this is her 3rd phone in just over 2 years. The others were similarly destroyed).
I'd be very tempted to hand her the GN and keep the GS3
How annoyed am I going to be with the GS3?
Other ideas?
And why couldn't she have waited a month until the Galaxy Note 2 came out?
Why not get her an older phone like the defy lol

Perhaps you could look around and checks phones that will have a nice resale value right now. Not sure what choices you have with tmobile. A gs3 could be had for $200 upgrade price, flipped for $500+ and then buy a nice little mid range expendable phone that will get the job done. Or maybe buy two. This method has it's goods and bads, but if a smartphone is really needed for phone amd text, and the extras for distraction/minimal tasks and getting on the web for fun, reading or tips on breasts hurt while breastfeeding then this might be a good path. Otherwise, get a nice little unlocked nokia or moto for cheap until toddler destruction improves.

Or a defy as suggested. My friend accidently dropped his off the top of a 2 story building while taking a picture. He walked down, picked it up, entered a caption and posted it (he was using instagram). There's just a little nick in one of the corners now.
Also it's waterproof, so that helps with the drink issues.

Wow, women have no respect when it comes to electronics. The ones that do are obviously witches.

This generalization is pretty disrespectful, despite the fact you tried to add that you understand there are women who do, this still was a harsh post. We do have female users.

Pretty sure it was a tongue in cheek post

The key word I see here is toddler, give the toddler that busted sensation. That way he/she has their own phone to dunk in coffee. The other thing is to teach your wife the proper way to deal with water damage, ie battery pull and rice.
And teach her not to put her phone in front of a baby. And tell her she won't like it the next time it happens.
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?
why does she need a phone in the kitchen in the first place?

Note feels so much better without a case.

The person I traded my phone with included a rubber case. A little thick. The color was kind of girly, so I took it off for a few minutes. Used it without the case, and feels MUCH better.
Anyone else raw dog their note 2?

Only a week when I first got it, it stays in an otterbox to keep it sexy for resale.

Mine stays in an otter box for safe keeping.
Too slippery naked imo, gotta have a case on it
Half the time it has no case, for special occasions when it needs a rubber grip on goes the thin body glove case.

My friend told me he don't need a case on his note 2 because it feels awesome without it. He kept insisting he is careful and don't need one, even though I recommended him to use a case. Few weeks later he msged me i need of how to back up / restore contents to a phone. I'm sure you can guess how this story went.
Oem case is pretty awesome. Protects agile giving it the naked look.

I use a case when I am fapping only, the rubber on the outside helps keep a one handed grip on the phone to help prevent slipping into the toilet.

Something scary happened yesterday.
The phone slipped from my hand and fell over the stairway, and rolled down downstairs. I was so scared the screen will be destroyed, but lo and hehold, there is NO DAMAGE!
I use Body Glove hybrid case.
Any phone I have ever owned has always been naked. No screen protector or case. I haven't dropped a phone yet. I never get insurance either. I just treat my phones like a baby lol. Would you ever drop your baby?
Besides phones are meant to look and feel sexy just the way they are haha. Go naked!

Lol after having a son who is very very wiggly since birth, I feel I am qualified to say no. I would never drop my baby. And I never have. And I dont drop my phone. No case around the house and a rubber for my extended battery when I feel adventuresome!

Couldn't agree more. I've yet to drop any of my $500-$700 and up phones. I also treat them like a baby.

I've used cases since my Nokia 5120 days. You can baby your phone all you want but you can't account for pure accidents. You might be holding it when some kid barrels into you from behind, causing your phone to go flying onto the concrete. Plus there's normal wear & tear to worry about too- you may *never* drop it but no device is going to remain pristine after 1-2 years of daily use. You WILL get scratches, rub marks, chips, etc.
I refurbish phones for a living & I can always tell who's used a case & who hasn't, even if there aren't any obvious signs of a drop. We get SO much more money for phones that were kept in cases, in fact half of the jobs I do consist of swapping good components into non-wrecked housings.
I dunno, it's all about choice, but you'll never catch me without a case. Too much here worth protecting, IMO.

What if you don't need to trade in your phone or re sell it to buy the newest phone? I usually always give my old phone to my nieces, nephews, or a family member.
I've never really used a phone case, and all my phones have always been in excellent condition. Of course, back in the day I'd have a phone clip on, but that was during the motorolla days.

I always keep my phone for a year and then sell them on eBay in the condition of 9/10 or better. If that accident does ever happen, then we'll, it's not the end of the world lol. To me it would be worth enjoying a naked phone...
It's like what's the point of having a nice slim phone when your just gonna slap a hefty case on it. Idk, I guess it's all personal preference.
