My TPU Fusion Review - myTouch 4G Accessories

So I ended up wanting a MT4G case and came across this site through a friend who bought a similar case from ambitronic.com.
Wondering whether to get the TPU Fusion Case? Look no further!
Shipping:
The product came relatively fast. When I got my final order, all they allowed was first class shipping, but it was only about $3. I ordered my product on Saturday, was notified that it shipped out on Sunday, and it came on Tuesday afternoon.
The website said that it was "delivered" on Monday when I checked, but when I went to check the UPS tracking number it just said sorted. So if you're wondering why the case hasn't come, check the UPS site and be patient, it's worth it!
Pricing/Value:
This is where the product shines. The case was only $3.40, and I bought a $0.95 screen protector with it. I also used a promotional code that docked off 10%. Unfortunately, shipping was $2.95 (still not that bad for first-class), so my total came out to be $6.87.
The Product(s):
I bought two things:
The Black TPU Fusion Case, and
a MT4G Screen Protector
The case itself is pretty good. All the holes are in the right places, and it fits really well. It does not add any noticeable bulk, and although it was somewhat difficult to get it on my MT4G in the beginning, it gets easier as time goes. The side grips are really nice (they're textured for easier grip), and I have 99% confidence that I won't break my phone as long as I have this case (the other 1% is if I keep it in the washing machine ). I had an issue with the power button being too hard to press at the outset, but as time went by, the issue got better and it's much easier to hit the power button.
Note: The TPU Fusion cases for this product only come in Black (+$0.45), Clear (+$0.45), and Red. I got the black one, and it looks really sleek on my black MT4G.
Now, the screen protector on the other hand was not useful at all. The product said that it would come with a soft card, but it did not. The thing also did not come with any instructions, so I ended up having to check how to install it on XDA. After cleaning the glass screen with the microfiber cloth and applying the screen protector, there were too many air bubbles, and I realized that the screen protector collected dust quite easily. I ended up having to trash it.
Overall:
4.75/5
Great product, great company.
-0.15 for the worthless screen protector
-0.10 for only 1 shipping option (shipping ended up being about 45% of the cost, but it was relatively cheap, so I can't complain too much).
Get it here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I shot them an email, and here's what I got:
Hi, thank you for your honest opinion on our product and service. Your support is really important to us. We have just issued you $0.8 credit (Rounded it up) via paypal.
Regarding the screen protector issue, it used to include a soft card inside the package but it seems our supplier did not include it in this shipment. We have removed the word "soft card" from our description to avoid being misleading.
If you did not get another screen protector for the Mytouch 4g yet, we would like to re-send you the screen protector for free. Hopefully, this time it can do its job. Please let us know and have a good night!
Sincerely,
Dale

+1 this is a good case for the money. My only issue was had to enlarge the hole for the charging micro usb port, for use with my charger.

This review made me buy one ... good job

Lol, made me buy one also. I also read the extended battery thread and that made me buy one before I read this. Now I don't know which to put on unless I cut the case to fit the battery.

Dam impulse buys LOL

Exactly. I may just cut the TPU case to fit the battery.

I did not like this case. I found it to added far too bulk to the phone.
However....I cut the top off of it and hot glued the case to the armrest in my car. (It looks clean I swear!) So now I have a great holder that my phone slides in and out of easily that keeps it nice and secure where I can see the screen to know who's calling before answering on the bluetooth.
It's a GREAT phoen case for this purpose. And I'm thrilled with my purchase.

I got a TPU Fusion case when I got my phone. I'm pretty pleased with it overall. The grips on the sides make the phone feel much more secure in my hand.

Thank you for your support. It is good to see people like this TPU Fusion design.

I bought a similar tpu, but the hole where u charge the phone was too little and cause of that i couldnt charge it well so i decided to throw it away

Droid 2 Case Reviews!

I just reviewed Droid 2 cases here:
Droid 2 Hard Case:
http://droid2accessories.com/droid-2-accessories/droid-2-hard-case/
Body Glove Droid 2:
http://droid2accessories.com/droid-2-accessories/droid-2-case-review/
Both you can get at Verizon store but Amazon is like 30% cheaper.
Also, I like the hard case better, the Body Glove is waaay too bulky, they added waaaay too much padding, your Droid 2 becomes like a big brick afterwards. But might work for those of you who want a sturdier Droid 2.
Hey thanks for pointing out these rad cases. In the Amazon page it claims to come with a micro fiber cloth and a "screen protector". Did the kit you reviewed come with some sort of clear plastic stick on deal? I hope so, I'm itching to by the white one and storm trooper this beast.
Thanks dude.
The one I bought
The one I bought is the same but I bought it at my local Verizon store for $24.99 doesn't come with a screen protector. darn it. But yeah, that link is the best deal I found and is the exact same case, yey.
Thank you sir I'll post back with the quality of the screen protector, ordering NAOWWW!
Hey thought I'd let you know this case is fantastic! Fits much better than I expected and the white case got me the storm trooper look I was goin for.
I also ordered the OEM extended battery from Verizon (BP7X) and am happy to report that despite its larger size, the case still fits perfect! In fact, I think these were designed for BP7X.
If you look at Zeedomax's pictures, the case has a swell over the battery compartment... with the stock battery installed, there is space between phone and case. With BP7X, like a glove.
I'd also like to say the free screen protector isn't half bad. No glare, no rainbow effect, and doesn't inhibit touch screen usage. The bad: it doesn't take much to scratch. I scuffed it up installing with a credit card and my keys have already done a number on it.
Definitely get this case and the battery!
Use promo code "BAT30" for 30% off and free overnight shipping. (Mine was $37 or so.)
I got the 'carbine' case when I bought mine. It was $25 instore. Also Good luck finding matte screen protectors anywhere. I have somewhat tacky fingers and find that glossy protectors make my fingers catch. I ended up buying a iphone matte protector from best buy and trimming it down to fit (bit of irony no? haha!) stupid things where $18 to boot...

Thanks for the info guys. I'm curious if the keyboard opens and closes as smoothly as without case. I briefly tried one on my phone and it was noticeably different as if the phone was rubbing against the case while opening and closing.
Yes, there are two clips on the top half of the bottom cover (confusing I know) that rub against the back of the screen when sliding open. Now even though
I noticed a difference immediately, I was not turned off by this at all. It has warn the clips a bit since then and seems to slide a little more effortlessly now...
But to answer your question, NO the case does not hinder the phone in any SERIOUS way. I'd also like to note that this case will drive you crazy on the top row of your keyboard for the first day or two, but now I've already forgotten what it felt like with the case off. Basically, you had about 1-2mm's of space between the top row and the screen. Now that space is non existent. You'll get used to it!
The only thing that seriously erks me, is all the crap that's getting stuck between the case and the phone from extended miles in my pocket. I've already scuffed up the shiny metallic front face pretty bad.
I thought since we are discussing cases, I'd share the slip case I got for my D2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170524799245
It wasn't made for the D2, but it fits perfectly and it was cheap. Its already protected my phone from a drop of a few feet to a concrete floor. Most of all, I love the Android at the bottom of it, I thought it was perfect, especially for the price!
Do these cases have a hole for the noise cancelling mic?

Not a case, but I just got this piece of awesomeness. Love it. Makes the phone look 10,000 times sexier.

Yeah, this skin is awesome. There are some other phones that it looks even better on.
As to our friend hwc there, I went ahead and reported him so I'm hopeful he'll be banned.

T-Mobile Accessories

I am a rep for T-Mobile and we have started receiving our accessories in the stores. I don't have pictues just yet because I don't want to lose my job as many of my co workers are also tech savvy and on this forum, however I have seen that there are a few nice accessories that you all can expect from T-Mobile at launch. Keep in mind that our stuff is pretty expensive but there is a buy 2 and get 20% off and buy 3 get 30% off accessories special going on right now.
1) leather vertical belt clip
2) gel skins in blue, purple and pink so far
3) a hard shell with a kind of monochrome checker pattern n the back. (This one is nice and thin but is the kind that lacks wrap around protection on the top and bottom of the phone. Kinda just cradles the sides and back. Still nice though.)
4) there is supposed to be a hard shell with a slot for you ID and credit cards. (I haven't seen this one yet but if its nice and thin this is the one I will buy.)
5) there should be a desktop cradle coming soon too because this phone has the charging contacts on the side so it will be a landscape cradle. Looking forward to this one too! (Missed it from when I had my nexus)
Anyways I'll stop rambling now. I hope this helps you all out and at least can give you an idea of what is coming at launch time guys. The MyTouch line is
T-Mobile's franchise line of products so expect to see a lot of advertising, support and a full line of accessories.

I think one of the best places to get the phone will be at walmart usually 50-60 bucks cheaper...

Is there a chance you could post pics of credit card holder shell? Sounds interesting!
Any luck telling us location of your store? I personally am looking for the white my touch with the clear hard shell case and kickstand
Im using the black gel skin on mine we got some nice ones in my store there is a clear one with a grey rubber grip down the sides which cradles the phone nicely and covers the corners as well. I threw it on the white one and it contrasted very well. Wasnt to crazy about it on my black phone though.
t-mobiles facebook page posted a bunch of pics of the accessories. they all look pretty sweet!
here is a link to the preview:

I'm digging the black case with clip
Are there any real-life pictures of these cases? I'm looking for a slim case that will protect that is not the rubber/silicone.
I got the black silicon slip case, the dual-port car charger and the generic GPS cradle (I wish they'd hurry up and release the official docks).
The silicon case is choice. It's not too 'rubbery' so it doesn't stick to things like other cases have in the past. It is extremely smooth. It feels like the soft touch paint along the frame, and adds the perfect amount of weight to the phone. I applied the included screen protector (film), which took a bit of 'finger grease' to cut back on the friction. Now, it feels similar to the standard glass (which was smooth as silk, similar to the Vibrant).
The generic GPS cradle is decent. No charging ports, but it serves a purpose. Pity the Car Home app is a bit buggy and not as handy as stock 2.2's application.
I'll be first in line to pick up the official docks when they are launched.

So it is two cases? I don't follow... What are the clear cases with the kickstand? How much was that one?
That is the case I am using I may take more pictures of others later tonight It is a 2 part case has a thin rubber underlying which the plastic overlays on to make one case.
I really like that white case, almost bought it last night. I just couldn't see spending $30 on it, that should be $20 at most. Waiting on some ebay knockoffs.
I got the clear case with the grey grip on the sides and i put it on a blk and am happy about it. Even with the case its not too much bigger than an i phone but the screen is bigger and it is lighter.

I have this exact case and it's just amazing!! I love it!
Case also includes a full screen protector.
That is a sweet case. I used one from OtterBox for my N1 called a "commuter case" and this is just like it.
The MT4G fits nice and snug and is very well protected.
Well worth the $30 imo.

Ambitronic.com and TPU Fusion review

So I got my TPU fusion case from ambitronic.com today and let me say, the case is beautiful. Consider the amazing price and it's an unbeatable deal. With a 10% coupon code I found and adding a screen protector it was just under $7.00 shipped. I ordered it in the evening hours, it shipped the next day, and arrived 3 days later from California to Missouri, not bad at all. Unfortunately the screen protector I ordered didn't include the soft card and one of the stickers on the screen protector got stuck to it and left behind residue. Without the soft card I was unable to install it correctly and ended up tossing it in the trash, but at .95 cents I can't really complain, but wish I could have used it.
i have one too & it's a good case for the price...lame that it doesn't come with the card, good to know. for 95 cents, you really can't complain. you can always use a credit card or driver's license... (i'm in NY & they're pretty flexible...), for future reference.
Ordering one online now, hope that it's as good as everyone says it is!
I tried a debit card but it didn't really make a difference with the adhesive stuck on it, cause by the time I got that off, it was pretty much useless. The site says it comes with a soft card, so I assume most of them do, I just didn't have one in my package. Still loving the case tho. To hit the power button takes a little getting use to as you have to press it a little harder than normal with the case on, but it doesn't bug me that much after a couple days use.

give the case some time to wear in, about a week or so. the buttons will get softer to press over time. Ive had my case for about 6 months now and its perfect
Good to know about the buttons getting softer. Just got an email from Ambitronic this morning, I sent a link to this thread to them, they apologized for taking a few days to get back to me, blaming the rush of Touchpad accessories, which I completely understand, and offered to either refund the .95 or send me another screen protector, so the only down side I had they are taking care of. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend anyone to order from them, I know I will in the future.

Just a funny factor. The fusion case does not really work work the chargers they sell.. Had to trim the case for the chargers to fit lmao.. That's the only negative thing I've found so far...

This case is hands down the best bang for your buck case I have ever bought for any of my phones. I got it for about $5 on eBay, and its quality and performance is on par with $30 cases I've bought in the past. As for screen protectors, I've always bought from an eBay seller, XtremeGUARD. If anyone's interested, here's a link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/XtremeGUARD-HTC-My-Touch-4G-Premium-Screen-Protector-/230605503209?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item35b128bae9
Best screen protector I've ever used. Easy to put on, crystal clear, and extremely durable. It uses a soap and water mix as an adhesive, so it's nearly impossible to put it on incorrectly.
this case is pretty awesome gotta say. when i saw it i was like "man i want this case" xD, looked so good. But yeah the only charger that really fits in is the one i got when i first had the phone, can't use any others really because they'll fit just enough to plug in but its' easy to dislodge the charger from the plug, but oh well not that big a deal to me
that screen protecter i might look into cuz i kinda messed up with the one i have now, it's placed on correctly now, but i didn't get it that great the first time so it's kinda dusty but you barely notice it unless the screen's off.

It's practically impossible to mess up the XtremeGuard protector. Since you cover the protector in the soap/water mix, it slides around on the surface of the screen, making it easy to align perfectly or redo if some dust gets on the screen. Once you're satisfied, just let it sit a little before you squeegee out the water bubbles, then let it sit and dry into place.

They made everything right with me, ordered a couple other things too for my touchpad and everything I've gotten from them is awesome quality for the price

Carbon fiber skin $4.99 shipped W/PICS!!!

I was snooping around for SII, Epic 4G Touch, accessories and stumbled upon this on eBay. I thought it was going to be just a cheap vinyl with an image of carbon fiber printed all over it. For $4.99 shipped I thought I would give it a try.
eBay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/22094980676...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1831wt_1063
When I received it (quick shipping too) I was surprised to see that the skin actually has texture rather than just being a flat vinyl. Its a dry installation and fairly easy to do, granted that you dont drink 3 bottles of Monster before applying. The skin also comes with 2 screen protectors which require a water/soap solution, I didn't bother applying those or even trying them out. ( I hate wet installation screen protectors, prefer dry installation. ) So I cannot comment on the quality of the screen protectors.
The skin covers the entire back and all sides. The cutouts are proper and do not conflict with any functionality. NOTHING in the front is covered with this skin, which I thought kinda sucked. But now that its on my phone I actually think its better that way.
Once applied the skin looks pretty sweet. The texture grips nice and protects your phone from scratches that would mostly derive from being in your pocket, sliding on counters, sitting in your cup holder while driving, and when placing it on the bathroom sink while you wipe your rear after that poopy-while-on-your-phoney.
DONT THINK this will protect your phone from a wooden bat swing or drops. Its a skin, not an otterbox defender.
As for quality, I have had it on my SII for 6 days and still looks as it did the day I put it on. In another week, who knows, another month who knows. Maybe tomorrow it will fall apart and disintegrate.. im not sure.. but so far it was well worth the 5 bucks, and then some.
Side note: my local mall charges like $90 bucks for these things with installation.. WTH................. (granted those are probably better quality)
I have it on my Nook Color and it is definitely worth the price.
Looks nice
I like... For 5 bucks I'm totally going to give this one a try. Thank OP
got one!
Nice. Got one. Thanks for the heads up.
nice i like this! thanks
is this skin thin enough to not affect its use with a samsung car dock?
I cannot tell you for sure since I dont have the dock, but the skin adds very little to the device.

Question, did it come with a cutout for the Sprint Logo? In the ebay pics it covers the Sprint logo, but in your pics the logo is showing.
Honestly I wish it would cover the Sprint Logo, I hate carrier branding on the outside of the device, huge pet peeve of mine.

I have had one if these since the phone came out. I got it from ghost armor. Mine does cover the log on the back. I also have a desktop dock and it still fits. I am sure my skin is the same thickness as this one. Mine is just more expensive since these weren't out yet.

eBay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/22094980676...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1831wt_1063

Question, did it come with a cutout for the Sprint Logo? In the ebay pics it covers the Sprint logo, but in your pics the logo is showing.
Honestly I wish it would cover the Sprint Logo, I hate carrier branding on the outside of the device, huge pet peeve of mine.

There is a cutout for the sprint logo, so it does show once the skin is applied.
Have you ever tried rubbing a sugar cube on it? I have heard of people doing that and successfully removing such logos off their device.
This website here gives a walk-through: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-remove-Logos-from-your-PDA--cell-phone-wit/
Eh..
Ordered mine on the 29th and it still hasn't came in. It was only market shipped like three or so days after ordering it.. I have a case and was just going to try this out, but it's taking a while and I've received things quicker from China than this lol..
Yeah they're slow. Mine said expected delivery between March 7th and 13th, and here it is the end of business on the 13th and not here.

Yeah I sent them a message not too long ago. I use USPS very often and they always provide me with a tracking number, when I sell and buy. We'll see what happens, I'm not blaming them or anything, just saying how it is.
Edit: Just got a response, it is word for word the same as yours. My item was marked "shipped" on the 4th or 5th though, we'll just have to wait some more.
No so sure it's the seller's fault. USPS workers in my area are pretty disgruntled atm and it shows. They are all feeling what's about to happen to some of them.
Thanks just pick up one.

US SELLER FOR OPPO FIND 7a CASE

A lot of people on here have been complaining about a lack of cases for the device..well. I just ordered mine today. Jump on it guys, doesn't look like there are that many left it stock. The case seems to be of good quality too. I'll be sure to share my impressions once I get it.

Just ordered the black one. thanks for the info!
Awesome, about time.
Thanks for the share.
All in all, it's a great case. Slightly slippery though... great lip on the front, and comes with a screen protector that looks to be a lot better than the one first on the phone. good buy!

Yes, the case is a bit slippery, but it really does look nice on the phone. And I didn't know it came with a screen protector! lol......had to dig the box out of the trash! Thanks!
Get anything but the black and you lose your prime with an expected 3 week delivery time. Figured that out after I got an email stating it had shipped and would be here by June 6th.
Just a FYI, coincidentally I was checking out this seller on amazon today and the shipping times (for this supposedly US seller) was 2-3 weeks. No thanks. Sheesh
yeah with the two week lead time, you can order some off ebay for half the price
I got my one with my phone (Craigslist) and I don't like it, we need more options than this.
I am using an iFace case from Aliexpress. About a week for shipping... I cannot find a good US sold case.
Just Bought This Same Case,And I Love It. Looks Like Yours Is The Same Nillkin Brand As Mines So Definitely A Great Buy In My Eyes.
