N.o.v.a bug? G2 question

For one does anyone own nova and have gotten through the singleplayer with it.
Secondly I am on the second mission, something void. I get to a part in the game where you have to upload the virus using a terminal. After uploading the virus those green aliens spawn in and I kill them all. After killing them all nothing happens all the door locked.
I downloaded the game from the android gameloft website and purchased it after testing the trial bfrom the games ui.

It's a known issue. I managed to play through the game using version 3.3.9. Anything I upgraded to seemed to get hung at one part or another (virus upload or the hangar area in the level after the virus part). Hope this helps.

Yea thats what I gathered, gamelofts support as not very helpful and instead just said device not supported. Instead of telling about the bug.
I guess only way to play is to find that lower version which is disappointing considering I paid money for this.

There's a version on a website that sounds like Wobilism (turn the W upside down and you have your site) They have addressed this issue and have a fixed version. Keep in mind it is hacked and since warez and stuff aren't supported here so I can't link to it. Works fine for me though and I can confirm it works.

Its just a patch in my eyes since I actually bought it, thanks for the tip.

i was playing a hacked version using games launcher app but got tired of playing a hacked version so i bought it too. i believe i had the same thing happen to me. whats up with this patch? where is it and how does one install?

Apps in market not compatible

Here is a list of apps that are coming up not compatible.
1. Youtube
2. Icebreaker Hockey
3. Flick Golf!
4. NFL Rivals
List what apps you find are not compatible. Also, if anyone knows why please enlighten us on why these are not.

i think someone told me that youtube update thru touchwiz??????????????go figure

Good point but.
I have some low end apps (great apps but not much developer money) that I use and they work fine.

LCD Density
If you have changed your pixel density that will make it so certain apps can't be installed. For the odd app that wont install through the market I just download the apk from whoever has it (google it).

I have flick golf and it works perfectly.

It's not a good point at all. Programs don't have to be designed to work on dual core, they'll just use one of the cores. They do, however, have to be designed to take full use of the dual cores.

9mm plays but the graphics are all pink textures during gameplay.
Flick Golf works fine on mine.

i flashed the sb rom, but when i download apps i cannot open them. anyone else have this issue

What would the pixel density have to do with any of that? That absolutely is not true as I have the ATT version of the phone and my room mate has this version of the phone. Both are rooted and his is still stock ROM mine is listed below in my signature. My Pix density is 200 and his is stock 240. Both of our markets show as having not compatible apps for our phones such as Adobe Flash and Netflix...Yet We both have the apps on our phones just older versions. When you search them out they are there and claim to have updates but will not let you install. I flashed an update to my ROM just a few days ago that did a wipe and reset of the phone and after rebooting and customizing (including changing the build.prop file for density) for a short period of time I was able to search out and update Flash to version 11 and the latest Netflix. I go back after a few hours and noticed one of my apps "Make your clock" was the old version after restoring from TIBU and went to update the app and uh oh no can do, not compatible with my phone. And yet the day before I updated that very same app before TIBU restore...So your theory about density seems really thin and unless you have actual proof that this is a cause then I would keep from confusing anyone with it.

Guys, I don't think it is a question of the app(s) working fine. It is the fact that even if you have an older version of the app(s) working and there is an update is it:
1. Listed in your Market?
2. If not listed in your Market can you search and find it?
3. Once the App(s) in question is located is it listed as update or downloadable?
If all of these factors match then why is it happening this way and what is preventing from downloading these files to the phone!

This seems to be an ongoing issue across the board with most phones...I will see if I can research and find some results to post.

I find it interesting that PD was the only new change I had made prior to my new problem of incompatibility.
So far these are the apps that no longer are compatible:

Moboplayer
Adobe Photoshop Express
Best Buy
Maxthon Browser
I tried resetting my PD back to stock, but that didn't help.

So that I am clear about all that you did was PD change...Did you restore anything from backup? Or just loaded everything from the market as a fresh install?

I found this issue only when using viper rom when i was stock and now running starburst ive had no issues...

My Maps Editor doesn't work,
It used to work with my HTC EVO
I dont know if google blocked it completely now to where you can only edit maps through PC 100% of the time only but I used to be able to use it until recently.. version is 1.1.6

I bought madden on my samsung epic, and it worked perfectly, but now with my gs2, its not compatible anymore I spent $6 on that app for getting to play it 5 times lol. It doesn't show up in my market, and I checked online, and it is also listed as incompatible for epic touch 4g. blahhh

These apps were installed from the market but now cannot be updated at all.
Add to the list ttorent and the official Newegg.com app that are no longer compatible.
Again running ZedomaxEpicTouchKernel with stock ROM and a PD of 170.

It is definitely related to PD. I just reset mine to stock, but this time cleared the data from the market app. Boom, now everything is compatible again and updating perfectly.

PD is definitely the cause of some Apps not installing and being seen on this phone but what's up with the rest. I've had Apps on my epic that aren't compatible with this phone. Doesn't make any sense.

Finally, I can play Hot Pursuit. EA had released a new version 1.0.55 which is compatible with Tablets.
Now I'm waiting the new version of NFS Shift.

Unfortunately that doesn't help those of us who don't have a tablet sitting around all I have is my phone to download data on, so it looks loke no SimCity for me. Have there been any other fixes to get this working?

[Q] Final fantasy / square-enix games

I would like to ask here for any help getting any (Other than FFIII) games to run on my nexus 7. I have been unable to run them, both the paid for (And I can't get a refund on the 2 i purchased yet) and I've also tried the 'cracked' pirated versions way, and in all cases, the game will not run(screen blinks for a second, returns me to previous screen, or it opens a black screen and sits and does nothing)
The only game I've been able to run was FFIII and sadly, the PAID version would NOT run (I had to use a cracked/pirated version) and I would like to know what I am doing wrong (And considering I've seen a LOT of others with same issue but no 'fixes' yet the issue seems totally random not dependent on the type of device, if the device is rooted or not, or the game in question, I think its something to do with me.
My n7.2 is rooted with the wugfresh toolkit(I had it rooted before another way and had exact issue so I'm not sure its this) and ive also tried after factory resetting the device and same issue.
So can anyone here give me some insight on to what I can try next to enjoy the games I've paid for at least?
Edit: as a test I tried the chaos rings I and II and II installed and played fine yet I did not, both were, if it matters, 'cracked' games and I have no interest in playing either. But added this just in case there's something about them which may help reach a conclusion.

IMO I would install a PS emulator and just run the games that way. If you bought them originally on the market legally, obtaining a copy of the ROM for a PS emulator wouldn't be illegal technically as you've already purchased the media rights.

Square is picky about their games. I haven't played the FF games on my N7 but Chaos Rings works. Sadly I paid for it and don't really get into it.

I had the same problem. FFIII and FFV work, but not IV or Dimensions. I dunno, I'm guessing a fix will come eventually. We own a popular device.

Send an email to support, let them know your issue and solution. The piracy should get their actions in gear.

3 and 4 work for me, no go on FFI. It connects to server then hangs on "checking license..." Willing to forgive them if they release FFVII for Android (and if, y'know, it works lol)

Don't hold your breath. All FF games run good for me on my Flo.

Do you have xposed framework installed? That was my problem. Ffiii worked fine, but ffiv and ffd would not work for me. Not sure about ffv, as I had xposed disabled before trying it.
Someone else here posted some info. Check on your sd card for a file named either "__57d5__.log" or something similar. It should say what is causing the issue.
It might also be a dpi issue. Others have had issues with trying to run ffi at 200 dpi, but it works at 240.

Pre-installed games(? :) )

So, not in a long future I am going to buy Ouya android gaming console, cause I have found pretty great deal. But I heard that the "Ouya Store" is shutdown + most of Ouya titles are arcade-type of games...
So I have a big big big request, if you still have pre-installed games on your Xperia Play phone could you back them up for me to .apk format and kindly include the data (.obb file)?? <3 unfortunately I had sold my phone few years back and since it had playstation controlls I think it could run well on ouya (I hope this ain't against XDA forum rules)
Please, help me out <3 cause I would love to play some The Sims 3 or Bruce Lee or some since delete EA or Gameloft Games (like Nova or Dead Space ) on full screen.
p.s i have look over the internet for the xperia play version of the sims 3 (com.ea.thesims3 not the other one) and it is nowhere to be found so please help me out here.

I actually loathe all the built in games aside from Crash, but I can help you out here at least with The Sims, recently got a play from ebay with it installed. I'll try to download the other games too, I tried Crash out of curiosity the other day and it still worked.
Though I'm not sure they will work on any other device.

If you managed to get Crash working, could you upload the files for that? I'm talking about the .apk and .zpak files. I'm only asking you because I can't seem to get it working on my device (but then again I've got a custom ROM and unlocked bootloader...) and I'm not particularly keen on returning my phone entirely to stock for the possibility of maybe managing to download it myself.

You actually can take out the game apks from the firmwares, so actually dont need to reflashing many times of your device at all.
Though i've some question to ask. Im own the Asphalt 6 HD before buying at the Gameloft website at old times (but when installed the game is not HD at all), but the game refuse to download the data, thou im still thinking why is not working anymore in this year but when im use the game apk from the Japanese FW, (this is the truely HD) and the game just works. If there any way to bypass it, please PM me. Many others Gameloft games that i've buy and own is not working anymore, but only from the Firmwares still works.
