Question to Case-Mate Pop users - Galaxy S II Accessories

Can someone measure how thick the phone is with the case on, in millimeters? I would really appreciate it.
I want to know if it will fit into my Zenis dock or not.

I actually have both. When I get home later I'll put them together and see if they fit together.

Low Profile Car Mount

I don't take credit for the video but I found THIS low profile car mount that's made for the iPhone and works just as well for the EVO. HERE it is at Amazon.
i really like this! it looks classy. plus the phone seems more secure in the cradle then in some of the other car-mount solutions i've seen. thanks for pointing this out!
I'm going to pick one up on payday and I'll see how good it is and give a report back.

I've had that one for a while. Very nice.
My only complaint is that in portrait mode I have knocked the phone out of it a couple times. It's plenty solid, it's just not that hard to flip the phone out of it.
Do you guys think there's any chance an Evo with the Seidio Innocase Active would fit in this?

The video has a quote that says it should work with thinner cases but not thick ones. I personally have a carbon fiber skin on mine and I'm pretty sure it will work as the guy in the video, his phone is naked. I don't know what differentiates a thick from a thin case but you could always order it and if it doesn't fit you could just say it doesn't fit and return it, but then you would have to eat the shipping cost. Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe someone will come on here that has a thick case and give his thoughts on the matter. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Cheers...
EDIT: There is a comment below the video that say:
Unfortunately it does no work with one of those rubber-like cases. I tried with the one manufactured/distributed by HTC for the Evo and it would not fit in mount. There is still a slight chance that if it was in a thin hard case it might work.

Wow, finally installed this in my wife's Mazda 3 (vent mount) and it just rocks. Super sturdy in either portrait or landscape, easy to snap the EVO in and out. Thanks a bunch to the OP for the tip. Hard to beat this one for the quality, ease of use, and price.
I love this car mount, thanks for the tip.

Nice find. Thanks.
just ordered mine off Buy.com can't wait to get it.
main reason i want one is because it's a pain in the ass to hear my ringtone in a jeep with the top and doors off. it would be nice to see a call come in while driving.
Terax XWAY. Strong enough magnet to hold into the phone even with the ridiculous spension setup I have in my Integra. I love using it, and it's completely portable, like throw it in your pocket, take 5sec to put in in another car, and go.

Only vent mountable. There seems to be no goose neck for the windshield. This would not serve my purpose. Plus it seems a little bulky compared to the Kingston. It is also more expensive than the Kingston. No thanks... I'll stick with the Kingston.

And it would mess with the compass apps and we'd have to stick something on the Evo
Just thought I'd chime in and report how it works with the Seidio Innocase Surface II.
The phone with case on fits fine. The issue is because of the added 2-3 mm of thickness and the smooth feel of the Innocase, it makes it infinitely easier for the phone to slip out of the mount. I haven't had it fall out on me since I always keep my phone in the landscape position while in my car but it will slip if you drive over bumps while its in portrait.
I'm looking into getting some kind of rubber tape so I can make the grip the mount has on the phone a bit more tacky.
I finally ordered this mount and when I get it I'll see about doing a small video review so as to let everyone know what it's like. It's made for the iPhone and wouldn't you know it, EVO is stealin' the show once again. LOL Man I like my EVO. It's such a kick ass phone. Now with an awesome low profile car mount I can finally use it with Google Navigation point-to-point and not have to keep looking down at it while it's laying on the passenger seat.
Cheers...

SGP Ultra Hybrid Case Review [Eclipse White]

I've seen a couple threads where people ask whether the Ultra or Neo Hybrids are better for the Nexus.
Well I just got the Ultra Hybrid one and I must say that I love it!!!
I explained it all in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHjQdA1ueaY
But I just can't say enough how great it feels in the hand and how high quality it really is for a case. I usually never want to spend more than 10 bucks on a case, but if you guys are looking for a high quality case and don't mind spending about 25 bucks with shipping and all that, then I highly recommend this one!
Hope this has helped!
Thanks for making me spend £14!!!

Yeah I love them! And they ship out to you so fast. Took like a day and a half for me. I stopped paying so much money for expensive ones when these work better and feel realistic. Here's my buddy's video on how to apply these types with no bubbles. Mine looks like there's nothing on the screen when I followed these exact instructions. Just use a credit card instead of fingers like he did.

It kinda does, it just won't be a perfect fit. On the side of the phone, it'll be slightly higher than the brim of the case. That's all.
How sensitive are the buttons? Can you press them accidentally just by casually holding the case?
Does the case edge totally cover the bezel edge? Reason I ask is I'm getting a white nexus, and I want to know if I'll see a little white peeking through or not.
Thanks for pointing out the screen protectors. Picked up a set!

No not really, you'd have to squeeze a little. It's easier to press the buttons with this case, but you still have to put a little effort to do so. I got used to it though after a day or two so it doesn't bug me as much as it did on the first day.

It would, the bottom and top of the phone would be under the lip of the case, but the sides wouldn't. It would be a little bit higher. But the screen wouldn't hit the surface if you were to lay it flat since the Nexus is curved.

No, but I've seen it on with the GSM 2000maH extended battery and it fits, but the sides are above the rim a little bit. So I'm just assuming it would sorta fit the CDMA one. But I would really only get this for the GSM if you want a perfect fit.

Hey mack, this case should be here in the next week or two as it's coming from abroad.
Just wanted to ask how tight the lip/rim is against the screen? I currently use the Diztronic TPU (Rev2) case and the lip is very tight which causes my XO skin to peel in the bottom corner slightly.

The thing about this one is that it doesn't "hug" the rim of the phone. It's raised above it so that if you lay the phone flat it protects it. This is good because like you said, it won't peel or bother your screen protector or whatever you may have on it. So it'll be perfect for you! Let me know how you like it once you get it.

Thanks
Headphone jack seems to be not lined up on most of them
my review of it
Hi, yep I've got this case, its actually not that bad.
the best thing is that it is very comfortable to hold.
the grip on it is good. its cut outs are good, headphone jack cut out is good, but I would prefer if it was a bit bigger.
all other cut outs are perfect apart from the speaker ones which covers only a very small amount of the top of the speaker, but is not a problem.
here are a few pics.
sorry for the poor quality of pics, I was using my v. old nokia 5800.
Thanks.

I have the Androidified Case and love it! It's super comfy (like the guy above me said) and it's just made to be easy to use. My only complaint is that the standard usb cable has a difficult time getting to the port due to the design of the case. Simple fix by pulling the piece up, but I don't like putting pressure on the port.

ah that could be an issue indeed. Can't wait to test it. I only got my white case which I hate due to the apple look
i had the same problem regarding the usb, at first i had to force it in due to the way the cut out is, but after two days it seemed that the case just changed its shape and adjusted to allow the usb to fit in without forcing it. which for me I now have no problem with it.
Thanks for the feedback. I will keep it in mind while testing.

Just received two of the cases today but waiting for the third one that has the fancy designs to do it.
So far , I love the looks of the black one with the Android design on the back and inside.
Not too sure about the big area left open for the camera and flash but I will comment about all that when I post it.
Did you receive the last case ? i'm very intrested in it.
You think it still will fit in the pocket of your jeans now it is not so slippery anymore ?

Actually just got the shipping notification so I expect it here in time for a Friday review at least.
Yes it does fit fine and I like that it has extra grip on the sides of the case. That feels better than my previous one which is more slippery.
I will make sure to take enough pictures but so far I like it. I guess the wait is not bad that way I can do a review after a week of using the case to give a better perspective as opposed to a right our of the bag review.
I put my Note in a sock, it fits well, 10$ on ebay and looks not bad.
If i use this Cruzerlite, will i be able to put it in a sock again (maybe a bigger one ?)
Or dont you guys use a sock ? what do you use then ?

Cruzerlite TPU Androidified REVIEW

Hey guys,
So Im fully migrated and with lots of cases to review. Im gonna start the serie with the Cruzerlite androidified. This case is one of my favorite ones (next to the diztronic) Its a perfect match between budget and looks. ITs thin, has the android in the back and gives good protection.
Here it is guys!

Dont start with a corner, start at the top or bottom and line up the mic hole. The other end will line itself up.

Btw - if you can't stand to look at the splotchy parts on the back of the translucent cruzerlites where it sticks to the phone, I followed another's recommendation by smearing a tiny bit of baby talcum powder inside the case, and it seems to work.
Maybe this is something cruzerlite could do at the factory? Talcum powder is a 1 on the mohs scale of hardness, so it's not an abrasive.

Damn, that's a good idea. I just tossed the cruzerlite to the side and got a speck case. I am going to have to try that. I like switching up cases every couple of weeks.
Pretty nice!
I just got mine today from Amazon.
Initials impressions is that it is quite nice. It fits pretty snug and looks nice on the phone. Especially if you like Andy the android. It is way easier to hold my phone now, especially with the side grips. I much prefer this soft TPU feel than to the hard plastic. There is a nice quality feel to the material.
My only complaint is the same as the users above me mentioned, the splotchy wet look on the back. Easily overcome with the talcum powder suggestion. Thanks zmore! Good looking out :highfive:
Phone is still quite thin after it is on. All in all, good buy, I highly recommend!
Now, back to flashing!

I had the same problem with the cutouts, but you can move it enough to line them up more or less. The cutouts are so big, they do not feel precision cut at all.
I imagine the talc trick would also make the case easier to move on the phone.
Not great with invisible shields as the case can pull up the edges due to the tight fit.
Overall, great for 10 bucks though.
