Dead Pixel - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can we know about the dead pixel on screen?I've downloaded dead pixel but dont know how to see it....

Hi,
Do you have a dead pixel? Or did you download an app hoping to see one?
You will know if you have a dead/stuck pixel as when the screen changes colour there will be once pixel that doesn't change or has no colour.

Best app for testing dead pixels?

I used one for my Evo but I forgot which one it was. There are several in the Play Store so I'm wondering if any of you guys have used one for the Nexus.

I used the same app. Nothing special but it was enough for me to determine that I was in good shape. Good luck, hope your N7 comes out fine, dead pixels are annoying.
Thanks guys. I'll check it out.
With these tests are you just looking inconsistencies in the screen when it is flashing the different colors?

HTC One X removed from TOP Devices section

Sorry to make this a new thread, but anyone noticed that HOX was removed from TOP Devices section in XDA forum?
I only see the AT&T HTC One X. Where is the International one?
Thx
And eventually, the Nexus 4 will be gone, then the HTC One, then the Galaxy S4, etc. Time flies by, but technology zips faster than time these days.

This is a good and bad thing, good as technology therefor advances fast, BAD because we need to try and keep up.

the t from the logo on the back has fallen off an there's a yellow spot but still an awesome machine
So is the AT&T One X superior to ours in so many ways?
Oh, that's time, guys! I bought the HOX only 3 weeks ago It's better than the old Sensation

That's the 1st thing that came to my mind when I saw our international Tegra3 was removed from there
Yeah it was kinda depressing. We have a very active development community and yeah the device is old-ish but its still one of the most powerful ones out there.
Sad but oh well. Been using the app more than the website anyway nowadays
But Samsung I9100 is still in top devices section. It's little bit strange. What's the criterias for "Top device"?
Just as I moved onto the Note 2 Only had the HTC for a year!
No regrets either, only on 4.1 but the bluetooth works in my car, which was always one of the big annoyances with the One X for me.
Thanks HTC and XDA, it's been fun. :good:

My new Nexus 5x has a screen flickering problem, does anyone have a fix?

I just bought 2 new Nexus 5x's. One is working perfectly, the other one has a screen flickering problem when touching the screen.
Does anyone have a fix?

Exchange it for another one before the display fails on you.

New Google Now tabs?

Has anyone on Pixel/XL gotten the new Google Now tabs to show up?
I have gotten them on my Nexus 5 and 6, but not my 6P or Pixel Xl.
Just curious if anyone has gotten them yet or not.
No idea what you are talking about. Screenshot?
I believe the OP is referring to this:
http://www.droid-life.com/2016/12/06/google-app-update-breaks-google-now-two-feeds/
I never saw it on my N6P either. Not sure the Pixel will get it or not.
Not nothing like that on my Pixel XL. This is something I am interested in and the theory was it is server side since out of the people running the same version of the Google App some had it and some didn't and it didn't appear to be phone model specific. Saying that I am interested to hear you had it on your 6p but not you Pixel.

I'm gonna check my 6P now LOL. Wonder why the Google flagship would be lacking a feature that the 6P all ready got. Oh well. It's minor I guess. It will probably make it in January update.

"live caption" on Pixel 2 XL?

I'm not seeing the "Live Caption" function in Android 10 on my Pixel 2 XL. Do we know which phones this is available on? And do we know if it's coming to the Pixel 2 line as well?
Thanks, Alan

Well ... that doesn't answer my question. I'm asking about a Pixel device.
Does anyone know if and when Live Caption is coming to Pixel 2?
